Chapter: The Price Of Peace
Aurora's POVThe village that had celebrated my return the night before now felt different. Heavier. Tense. War drums echoed faintly from the outer camps as warriors sharpened blades, repaired armor, and prepared for what everyone knew was coming.King Corey had retreated. But monsters like him never surrendered. They regrouped. They plotted. And then they struck harder. I stood near the window of our hut, holding Thea against my chest. Her tiny fingers curled around the edge of my shirt while she slept peacefully, completely unaware that the world outside was preparing for war. Behind me, Damon buckled his armor in silence. The metallic clicks filled the room. Each one sounded like a countdown.Damon's POVI'd faced death before. I'd faced armies, traitors, rogues, and monsters. None of it compared to this. Aurora stood by the window glowing softly in the morning light, our daughter in her arms. The silver markings Selene had awakened still shimmered faintly across her skin, making h

Chapter: Melt my Heart
Aurora's POV:The scent of my mate filled my senses, tingles and sparks migrated to my heart from our touched skin. His lips came down on mine over and over again. The last time his lips came down on mine, I kissed him back. My hand went behind his neck, pulling him closer to me. His arms locked tighter around me as though he was afraid to let go. I broke the kiss and stared up at him. A slow smile touched my lips. “I told you not even my own death could keep me from coming back to you,” I laughed softly. He leaned his forehead against mine. “I love you so much Aurora," he said, his voice breaking. The sound of a baby crying drew my attention. Damon helped me to my feet and Lilly slowly walked towards me with a bundle in her arms. Without hesitation, she swept me into a hug crying as she placed the small bundle in my arms. Damon's hand never leaving my waist. I moved the blanket back to see my daughter's face. She was the perfect smushed-faced little princess I’d ever seen. Her eye

Chapter: The True Luna Queen Awakens.
Aurora’s POV: I felt as though I’d been asleep, awakened by the sounds of seagulls and ocean waves. I sat up directly looking around. I rubbed my eyes trying to adjust to the brightness. My eyes finally pulled in to focus. Elms beach! I recognized this place! Is this heaven? I thought as I examined my clothes. I was in different battle gear. I wore a top that looked like a Bra. It was metal, small reflective pale blue lights covered my stomach. I could hardly see them. It gave my skin a slight glow. I wore a short loose-fitting skirt that had the same reflective light and metal laced through it. I looked at my arms and legs all the way down. The pale blue light made me look as though my entire body was glowing. Strapped to my thigh were silver daggers. I put my hand on my chest where the open wound was, and the lights shined again. I could feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. I touched my flat stomach and a small pink scar was on my lower abdomen. I'd seen scars like this: a c-s

Chapter: Next steps
I stared at Thea cuddling into Aurora’s chest as though she were there to give warmth. Eventually, Thea started to fuss as she was hungry. I turned to look at Claire and Lilly. They did not leave, instead stayed close by. Lilly nodded, coming to Aurora, she kissed her forehead, then slowly picked the baby up. “I love you sister,” She whispered as she kissed her forehead one last time before leaving the hut with Thea wrapped tightly in her arms. Claire came and sat down on the other side of Aurora, her grief matching my own. I prayed to the moon goddess to bring her back to me. I stayed at her side for what felt like hours. Rolling through memories in my mind. I closed my eyes, bringing myself back to the night we laid in each other's arms. “What if this war kills you?” She’d asked, burying her head in my chest. “Then I will come back for you. Not even death can keep me from you,” I said, squeezing her softly. “Always come home to me Damon" she said mindlessly, running her finger in

Chapter: Final breath
My mind went blank as I stared at her in complete shock. Claire looked up in tears now. “No you can't, she will bleed out, the baby will die,” I said, my voice panicked. “She’s bleeding out now anyway, your highness there is nothing we can do for your wife, but we can still save your daughter. We have to deliver the baby, or they will both die, sir,” she says firmly. Max emerges in full force. He growls in anger. Kent appears out of nowhere, shifting into his lycan form as he holds me back. Aurora's POV:I'm barely awake. My body is cold, and I am weak. I hear the healer she is speaking to Damon. She is telling Damon I am going to die, but Thea has a chance to live if she delivers her. My mind went to the Luna vision from the last night at the penthouse. The true pure-blooded Luna must die or they both die. I had to die to save my daughter. I move my hand to my stomach. She’s not moving and hasn’t moved in a while. She needs out before I die so she can live. My vision led me to wh

Chapter: The First Attack
Aurora's POV:As the meeting came to a close tactical discussions started. Loud bombs and screaming from outside tore our attention away from the discussion. “It has started,” I said. My hand goes to my stomach. I thought I’d feel fear or the urge to run instead I felt the need to fight even pregnant. I whispered a soft prayer to the goddess to keep my child safe during this time but I knew I would not survive. Jared looked at me, his eyes widening now as he pieced together the promise I made him make me earlier. “You knew,” he mouthed silently. I nodded “I'm sorry” mouthed back. My father took his scepter “Get ready men!” He yelled, tapping it repeatedly on the floor and the stone started to give way. Lights swirled us, Daman came to me pushing me behind him, his claws and fangs elongating.Alphas and betas shifted into their wolves as they prepared for battle. I locked eyes with my mom. Her eyes are violet and glowing, Her hair now completely silver. Her Lycan very present, She wa
