Alas gasped and tried to push her away, but she pulled him right back. She kissed him deeply, tenderly, and with such longing — every touch spoke of love and a desperate need to be close.

His knees felt weak, and he could not understand what was happening to him. A string of curses raced through his mind. He had been around many drunk women before, and some had even kissed him, yet never once had his body reacted this way. Why was it so different with this stranger he had never met before?

He could no longer hold back the surge of desire rising within him, and he felt his manhood awaken with fierce intensity. He wanted her more than he could explain.

“Please… stop. This shouldn’t be happening. I don’t even know you!” he protested again, struggling to control the overwhelming urge burning inside him.

He fought with every ounce of his strength to resist, yet the woman was the one leading him into temptation. Good God, he thought, don’t let my knees give in to what she is doing.

“Shhh… there is nothing to worry about, Janus. I won’t hold you responsible. I’ll let you go once this night is over — I promise,” she whispered in a seductive, breathless tone.

Did this woman not realize how reckless it was for her to take the lead like this? Or was she simply so intoxicated that her mind could no longer tell right from wrong?

He gasped sharply when her hands began to roam lower over his body, until her fingers brushed against his arousal. She began to caress him, and when he tried to stop her, she only smiled teasingly and murmured, “Why? Are you afraid?” Her vision was still blurry and clouded by alcohol — she truly had no idea who he was.

He was not the man she longed for, yet here he was, mistaken for her ex‑boyfriend. The woman was completely out of her mind.

He cursed silently once more.

“Are you gay, Janus?”

Those words struck him like an insult — even though he was not Janus at all, and the accusation made him feel both annoyed and disgusted.

“Damn this woman… she really is testing every last bit of my self‑control,” he muttered. “Fine — but you will forget all about me once this night ends, won’t you? Do you promise?”

Before he knew it, the words had slipped out. His body was already betraying him, and he could no longer deny the fierce need to pull her closer and kiss her until they both lost their breath.

She smiled sweetly and nodded. “Of course — just for tonight.”

Then she leaned in and kissed him again.

And this time, Alas surrendered completely. He responded with deep, hungry kisses of his own, no longer caring whose name she whispered in the heat of the moment or whose memory she clung to. All that existed was the raw, burning passion between them.

Desire consumed him entirely.

Alas moved above her, kissing her from her lips down to her soft breasts and across every inch of her skin. Waves of pleasure washed over her — every kiss was warm, wet, and electrifying, sending shivers through her entire body.

The woman grew even more eager and bold. He had no idea where she found such strength, while he let himself be carried away by the moment.

She reached down and quickly unzipped his pants, freeing his hardened length. She stroked it slowly, making him groan with pleasure. The sight and touch excited her too, blurring her thoughts until only lust remained. She craved him, wanted him so badly, and in her drunken mind, she refused to let this moment with “Janus” slip away — never realizing the terrible mistake: it was not Janus lying beside her, but a total stranger.

As the pleasure built, he slipped his hand beneath her panties and began to stroke her wet, throbbing center with gentle fingers. She trembled and cried out, losing herself completely to the sensation of his fingers moving deep inside her.

“Does it feel good, my sweet?” he asked, his voice rough and heavy with desire.

“Oh, yes! So good!” she whimpered, her mind spinning in a haze of lust. Her breathing grew shallow and fast, and she could feel her climax drawing near.

She cried out, eyes fluttering open, when he slowly pulled his fingers away — only to gasp again as he felt his hard shaft pressing against her slick, ready entrance.

“Want it, baby?” he teased with a wicked grin as she arched her back, overcome with pleasure.

“Oh yes… I want it so badly… right now!” she moaned, biting her lower lip. “But please… go slow…” she whispered against his ear.

He rubbed himself against her a few more times, then obeyed her plea.

“Oh God… she’s a virgin!” he breathed in shock as he pushed slowly inside her, then deeper and harder, filling her completely.

In that moment, Alas forgot every consequence of this reckless night with a stranger. He had made a huge mistake — what if she tracked him down later and demanded he take responsibility? Worse, what if this ruined his good name and reputation as CEO of one of the country’s largest companies?

“Oh God… I messed up… I was too weak to resist,” he groaned, cursing himself over and over.

He looked over at the woman sleeping soundly beside him, then let out a long, heavy sigh before finally drifting off to sleep himself.

The next morning, Alas woke up with a throbbing headache. When he reached out, the woman was gone — only the faint, sweet scent of her perfume lingered on his sheets. He jumped out of bed immediately and searched his entire unit, but she was nowhere to be found.

He even went back to the bar where they had met, hoping to find her again, but she never returned. He wanted to apologize properly and take full responsibility for what had happened. He kept coming back for weeks, asking the staff if they knew her name or where she lived — but no one recognized her.

After a month, he finally gave up searching. He told himself she must have decided to forget the night just as she had promised. Life went on, and soon enough, he was once again buried in his duties: overseeing the merger of his company with the Domingo Group, and managing a major housing project in Malaya — a community belonging to indigenous tribes whose leader still refused to approve the development.

“Lydia, when is my meeting with Mr. Domingo’s representative?” he asked his secretary.

“At four o’clock this afternoon, Sir,” she replied.

“Very well. Did my father call earlier?”

“Yes, Sir — he asked if you could meet him personally later to discuss something important.”

He nodded and turned his attention to the towering stack of documents on his desk. He was determined to prove himself as the new CEO, checking every detail carefully so no one on the board of directors could ever find fault in his work.

“Lydia, please inform Mr. Ignacio of the exact venue for our meeting.”

“Right away, Sir. Though you really are a workaholic — you should take better care of yourself, you know. And perhaps… it’s time to find someone special to make you happy too.”

“Are you saying I need a girlfriend?” he paused, a faint smile crossing his face as if something suddenly crossed his mind.

“Exactly, Sir. You have a successful career now — the only thing missing is someone who loves you wholeheartedly. They say work becomes much easier when you have love to come home to.”

“Is that so? Do you think I’m not in love already? You said yourself I spend all my time working.”

“That’s different — you’re just busy handling all these projects and the merger. But I mean real love, Sir.”

“Then I suppose I haven’t found her yet. But if I do, Lydia — you’ll be the first to know.”

“Noted, Sir. I’ll get back to my desk and call Mr. Ignacio now.”

He gave a small nod, then fell into deep thought.

From the drawer of his desk, he pulled out an old photograph — faded with time, yet holding memories that felt as fresh as if they had happened yesterday. If he could ask for anything in the world right now, it would be just one more chance to see the woman he had once loved so deeply.

YNA arrived at the office unusually early. She had woken up in high spirits, and her good mood stayed with her as she walked in with a bright smile. She went straight to her desk, opened her laptop, and double‑checked the reports she had finished. “Okay. Perfect. Everything is done. I hope he’ll appreciate the work.” She reviewed the files one last time and found no mistakes anywhere. A quiet breath of relief escaped her; the weight of the task was finally lifted.Alas had not arrived yet, so she began drafting new proposals. She wanted to create opportunities for the people of Malaya, hoping that tourists would see the beauty of the place and bring life to the community. She had not been able to explore fully during her last visit because of the rain, but next time she planned to walk every path and take photographs to share the village’s charm. She was typing an article when she heard a knock at the door. It was almost certainly not Alas—he always came straight in, using his spare k

ALAS had already arrived at his company, where he quickly wrapped up the urgent emergency meeting that had cut his trip short. As soon as the meeting ended, he headed straight to his office. He had been away for only one day, yet piles of documents and pending work had already grown tall across his desk. He found himself thinking of Malaya Village, the only place where he had truly slept soundly and peacefully. Here in the busy rush of Manila, he rarely got more than two or three hours of rest each night. Three hours slipped by while he worked his way through every file, signing his name, adding notes, and approving requests until the last stack was cleared. He rubbed his eyes, his shoulders heavy with exhaustion, and decided it was finally time to head home and get some rest. He was already walking toward the elevator when he spotted her waiting near the lobby entrance. “Hi, Alas!” Brenda called out, her voice light and sweet, carrying a soft, playful lilt that sounded almost like

Yna woke up feeling wonderful, a soft smile already on her face. Alas was still fast asleep beside her, so she quietly slipped out of bed and left him be—this man really was a chronic oversleeper. She stepped outside the nipa hut, her mind set on repaying the kindness their hosts had shown them. She fetched her wallet from Alas’ car first, then headed straight for Captain Larry’s home. “Good morning,” she greeted warmly. “Good morning to you too—you’ve perfect timing, I’m just having coffee. Care to join me?” he offered. The rich, earthy aroma alone told her it would taste far better than the instant sachet coffee she was used to, and she was already eager to try it. “I’d love to.” Yna settled on the floor as Captain Larry poured her a cup of brewed coffee. “By the way, where’s your companion? What was his name again? He’s been here a few times now, but I still haven’t properly learned who he is.” “Ah… that’s Alas. I left him still sleeping,” she replied, then took a slow sip. “

THE surroundings had grown dim, but they could still make out the path leading back to the hut. They reached it quickly and stepped inside at once.Alas spread the woven pandan mat across the floor, then arranged the pillows and blanket on top of it.Yna sat down on the edge, just beside the mat. “What am I supposed to do now? I can’t sleep without any light,” she complained. She had never been used to anything like this; she had grown up surrounded by comfort, in a grand house with huge, soft beds. Right now, she felt worse off than the poorest people she knew.Alas smiled and patted the spot on the mat beside him. “Lie down and rest if you want. Don’t let your worries keep you awake. And don’t be afraid—nothing bad will happen to you. I’m right here to keep you safe.”“But… I still can’t sleep in a place like this. I miss my room, and my soft bed.” Alas let out a quiet sigh. “This is all your fault—you’re the one who brought me here in the first place,” she grumbled at him.“Shh. I’m

YNA woke up feeling warm and rested, and for a moment she didn’t want to move at all. She stirred slowly and opened her eyes—then nearly screamed, quickly clamping a hand over her mouth to muffle the sound. She could hardly believe it. She and Alas were still wrapped in each other’s arms. He was still asleep, leaning back against the rough wooden wall, holding her close as if they were two people lost in the cold, clinging to each other just to stay warm.No matter what had happened, she felt nothing but gratitude toward him. Just as he’d said, he hadn’t left her alone—he’d held her through every shiver and every clap of thunder. And she couldn’t bring herself to lie: she had liked it, more than she cared to admit. She let her gaze wander freely over his face, taking in every detail of his peaceful, handsome features. The rain had not stopped completely, but it had softened to a gentle drizzle. The fierce thunder and lightning were gone, yet darkness was already settling over the valle

THE entire car was filled with heavy silence as they made their way toward in Malaya Village. The only sounds cutting through the quiet were the distant honks of other vehicles. Alas could no longer stand the deafening silence between them, so he finally spoke up.“Why are you so quiet?” he asked, hoping to break the stillness that was only made worse by how long the journey felt.Yna let out a sigh. “What exactly am I supposed to say? It’s not like there’s anything to talk about,” she replied, her tone laced with her usual stubborn sarcasm.“Fair enough,” he answered gently. “But I’m just not used to you being this quiet.” He glanced over and saw she didn’t seem to care one way or the other. “We’re almost there. When you see the sign that says “WELCOME TO MALAYA”, you’ll know we’ve arrived. I promise you’re going to love this place.”“Okay,” she said simply, turning her gaze to the window. The scenery unfolding before her was breathtaking—tall, lush trees lined the winding road, and t
