LOGINMELANIA…..
After some time there was a knock on the door. I got up to open the door. I was taken aback seeing Athena standing in front of my door. ‘What is she doing here now? What does she want from me?’ “Hello, I'm Athena. I hope you know me.” She offered me a wide smile. “Yes, what are you doing here? Are you here to complain why I didn't come to welcome you?” I mocked her. Because I was done playing the role of the white moonlight. I was never such a polite, gentle, and naive person I pretended to be all these years here. I was a badass princess in my house. But I wore that mask of an white moonlight simply because his first love had been that way. I believe that if I mimicked her softness then I could win his heart. But I failed to do that. “No, you misunderstood me, Melania. I came to meet the woman who has been taking care of Cyrus all these years when I was away. I came to express my gratitude towards you.” She said with a sweet smile. And I let out a bitter chuckle. "Quite the acting Miss Brown. No one is here except you and me. You can be yourself for now.” She looked stunned for a moment but the next moment a sinister smile broke into her lips. "You are very interesting, Melania. I thought you would be a naive, innocent girl, easy to bully. But you just surprised me. Well, unfortunately you're leaving. Otherwise, we would have been a great pair. Cyrus was mine. And he will always be mine. Your journey ended here. I know there was no husband and wife relationship between you too. Because I know he will never touch anyone except me. He's crazily in love with me." She looked smug. I couldn't hold back the mocking smirk that appeared on my lips. I leaned near her ear and whispered. “You're wrong, babygirl. He had made love to me. And I'm pregnant with his child too." I pulled back from her only to watch her reaction. And it was really worth watching. Her eyes widen in shock and her jaw almost hitting the floor. I knew she would never tell anyone about my pregnancy. So it was safe to tell her. Suddenly Athena’s eyes were blazing with fire and nose flaring as he raised her hand to hit me. “How dare you sleep with my mate and pregnant with his child. But before she could hit me, I held her hand in the mid air. "Don't you dare,” I warned her, my voice deadly dangerous. Suddenly she fell on the floor, even though I didn't push her. "Athena!” A voice echoed in the corridor and I understood why she pulled this stunt. She just wants to play the victim role in front of Cyrus, making me the villain in his eyes. She wanted to show him that I'm jealous of her and want to hurt her because she snatched him from me. "Melania, what's wrong with you? Why are you bullying Athena? She's still weak.” Cyrus snapped at me. Making me roll my eyes in annoyance. Before I could say something Athena spoke up. "Don't blame Melania. She's just upset about the divorce. She didn't mean it.” I felt like throwing up hearing her the way she put up the show in front of Cyrus. Well done, Athena. What are you doing here? You should joined acting. You will get the best actress award for sure for your excellent acting skill. Cyrus helped Athena to stand on her feet and held her closed to him. Then he looked at me. “I know you are upset. But Athena is innocent. Don't target her." “You are really stupid, Cyrus. The biggest regret of my life is falling in love with you and marrying you even knowing you can't be mine." Saying that I pulled out the ring from my finger and threw it on him then closed the door right on his face. Cyrus banged on my door. “Melania, open the door. I'm not done yet. You can't just closed the door on my face. Don't forget it's my house. And you're still my wife. The divorce hasn't finalized yet." I gave a deaf ear to his yelling. He will go back once he's tired. And his white moonlight will definitely take him away with her. I didn't want to waste time on him. He isn't worth it. I was waiting for Adriel after packing my bag. I didn't take anything from this house. No clothes, no gifts, no jewellery, nothing. I just put my important documents in my bag and that's it. My phone beeped as a text message popped up on the screen of my phone. I clicked on the text, ‘Mel, come out. I'm almost here.” I picked up my bag and put my phone inside it then walked out of the room without looking back. As I walked down the stairs I spotted my Mother-in-law and Athena sitting in the living room talking, lost in their own world. A bitter chuckle left my mouth as I watched them chatting so happily. My mother-in-law never talked to me nicely let alone laughing like this because I was never her choice. Now that she has gotten her favorite daughter-in-law back, she can always be happy now. I walked past them as if they were nothing more than strangers and headed straight to the maindoor. I heard maids gasping seeing me leaving the house. I felt bad for them. Because even though no one in his family loved me, this pack member had shown unconditional love and respect towards me. “Luna, Melania. Wait!” I was about to step out of the door when I heard a voice from behind. I turned around to see Mindy running to me. “Luna, you're leaving!” She asked me flabbergasted. I flashed her a sad smile. “Yes, Mindy. Alpha Cyrus and I are divorced.” Mindy gasped and covered her mouth in shock. “Then I'm coming with you.” I stared at her in surprise. She was just fifteen. After her only family, her grandma died she was left alone. So the Alpha appointed her as my personal maid. Since I came into this pack she was always with me taking care of my needs. “It's your pack, Mindy. Why do you want to leave your home?” I asked her. She held my hand in her tended hands. Her eyes were glistening with tears. “My grandma was my only family. But after her I got you. You never treated me like a maid but a family. You are my only family. Please don't abandon me.” She pleaded, tears rolling down from her eyes. “What kind of drama is it now?” A voice laced with frustration echoed in the living room. I looked past Mindy to see my Mother-in-law walking towards us with an unpleasant face. “If you want to follow her then just get lost with her. Don't make a scene here. We don't want a loyal dog of this bitch. Who knows she will plot against Athena using you. It's better to get rid of every loyal dog of hers.” Her words were like dripping venom which made my blood boil in rage. But I controlled my rage. “You want to come with me, then come.” I smiled at her and patted her head. She smiled happily and I wiped her tears. I held her hand and walked out of the house. As soon as I went outside I saw a chopper landing on the training field. I walked ahead with Mindy. She looked stunned seeing the chopper. “Is this chopper here for you, Luna Melania?” She asked in utter shock. “Yes.” And she gasped. I watched Adriel climbing down from the chopper. He gave me a smile as he saw me. He strode towards me with long strides. “Hey, what's up, Princess?” He was beaming. “I'm good.” His gaze fell on Mindy. “Who’s she?” He asked, gesturing at Mindy. “Ah, a little sister of me.” He smiled but didn't say anything. “You ready?” He asked quietly. And I nodded. We walked together toward the chopper, my steps steady and my back straight. Every step away from the house felt like a weight lifting from my chest. Adriel helped me in, his hand firm and reassuring, then helped Mindy in, in the end he climbed after us. As I settled into the seat, the engine roaring louder, my eyes moved on their own, drawn to the study window. My heart skipped a beat when I noticed him standing near the window, watching me leave. His face was unreadable from a distance. Then he suddenly walked away from the window. Maybe I was wrong. He didn't come to see me leaving. He just came to see what the sound was coming from. The chopper lifted off the ground. And I looked away from there with a wounded heart. “Good bye Alpha Cyrus. I wish you happiness. Be happy with the person you truly love.”Cyrus stood outside Kenji's bedroom for a long moment. His trembling hand slowly reached for the doorknob. With a soft click, the door opened. The room was dimly lit by the moonlight streaming through the window.Kenji lay asleep on his little bed, his tiny body curled beneath the blanket. His peaceful face was a sharp contrast to the storm raging inside Cyrus's heart. For several seconds, Cyrus simply stood there. He couldn't bring himself to move. This was the same room. The same room where he had once found his son unconscious after Athena had locked him inside as punishment. That memory stabbed his heart mercilessly.Slowly, he walked over and knelt beside the bed. His eyes never left the little boy sleeping peacefully. How many nights had Kenji cried himself to sleep? How many times had he silently begged for help? And where had he been?Working.Trusting the wrong woman.Failing as a father. With trembling fingers, Cyrus gently held Kenji's tiny hand. It was so small and fragile
"Isla, sweetheart." Melania called softly as the little girl happily ate her breakfast.Isla looked up and smiled. "Yes, Mama?"Melania exchanged a brief glance with Raymond before turning her attention back to her daughter."Tell me something. You've always missed your twin brother, haven't you?"Isla nodded without hesitation. "I miss him every day."Melania reached across the table and gently held her daughter's little hand. "What if. What if your brother never died? What if he has been alive all this time? What would you do?"Isla blinked in confusion. She tilted her head innocently. "Then we would bring him home, Mama."She smiled brightly before asking, "But why are you asking me this?"Melania's eyes became misty. She gently stroked Isla's hair. "Because your brother didn't die. He was taken away from us. He was stolen."For a few seconds, Isla simply stared at her mother. She didn't even blink. Then excitement suddenly lit up her face."My brother is alive?"Melania nodded wit
"Melania, I have something to show you."When Melania stepped out of the shower that night, she stood before the vanity, gently applying her night cream. Raymond's voice made her look at him through the mirror."What is it?" she asked curiously."You finish first," Raymond replied, forcing a small smile. "Then I'll show you."Melania frowned slightly. Something was wrong.Ever since Raymond had entered their bedroom, he had been acting unusually quiet. His eyes seemed troubled, as though he were carrying a burden too heavy to bear. Still, she chose not to question him. If he was ready to tell her, he would."Okay."After finishing her skincare routine, she turned around only to find the bedroom empty. She stepped onto the balcony.Raymond stood there with both hands resting on the railing, staring silently into the darkness. The cool night breeze ruffled his hair, but he didn't seem to notice. She quietly walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist."What happened? You
"What did you say? You really found out who helped Athena that night?" Raymond rose abruptly from his chair, unable to hide his shock.Gamma Aaron nodded. "Yes, Alpha. Livia sought Adriel's help. It was Adriel who tracked down the daughter of the nurse who assisted Athena in stealing the baby."Raymond's expression turned grim. "Where is the nurse now?"Aaron lowered his gaze. "She's dead. She was murdered five years ago. We still don't know who killed her, but judging by the timing, there's a high possibility she was silenced to keep the truth buried."Raymond clenched his fists. "As expected. They've been cleaning up loose ends for years."Aaron continued, "Fortunately, before she died, the nurse had confessed everything to her daughter. Her daughter secretly recorded the confession and kept it hidden all these years, fearing she would be killed as well. She finally handed the recording over to Adriel."Aaron placed a flash drive on Raymond's desk. "It contains the full confession."
Athena swept her arm across the dressing table, sending bottles of perfume, makeup, and expensive ornaments crashing onto the floor.Crash! The sound of shattering glass echoed through the room. Her chest rose and fell violently as rage consumed every inch of her. Her bloodshot eyes burned with hatred."Everything is ruined, Mom!" She screamed at the woman standing before her."I told you! I told you that one day that brat would be the reason for my downfall. And look what happened!"She let out a hysterical laugh before grabbing a flower vase and hurling it against the wall. It exploded into countless pieces."My informer warned me just in time. He said Raymond has discovered that Kenji is Melania's son. If I hadn't escaped from the pack immediately. Cyrus would've killed me the moment he found out I had deceived him for all these years."Her breathing became uneven. She clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug into her palms."Everything is finished! I never imagined the tru
CYRUS...I had just finished reviewing the last document on my desk when a sharp knock echoed through my study."Come in."One of the guards stepped inside and bowed respectfully. "Alpha, someone left this outside your study. We didn't see who it was."He placed a large brown envelope on my desk before leaving. My brows furrowed. There was no name. No seal. Nothing.Curiosity got the better of me. I picked it up and opened it.Several sheets of paper slid onto the desk. At first, I thought they were ordinary documents. Then my eyes caught the hospital's letterhead. My heartbeat slowed. Medical reports? I picked up the first page.Patient Name: Athena Brown. My eyes narrowed as I continued reading. Blood tests. Hormone reports. Ultrasound findings.I turned to another page. Then another. And another. Suddenly, my entire body froze. My eyes remained fixed on a single sentence.Diagnosis: Primary infertility. The patient is unable to conceive naturally. My breathing hitched."No..." I wh
