Owen and I dated briefly. He was one of the pack's warriors and was considered one of the best. He was good looking and while others alienated me, he was never ashamed to be seen with me until one night. Teresa's scream woke everyone up. We all ran in to see her crying, her clothes were ripped while Owen stood at a corner dumbfounded. The whole image left little to the imagination. However, I could immediately tell from Teresa's fake tears that this was one of her evil plots but there was nothing I could do to prove it. With Luna Lilian adding fuel to the already blazing fire, my father's anger was tripled. He gathered all pack members and ordered that he be beaten fifty times with an acid laced rod and afterwards, banished. My words held no value in the pack so I could only cry and painfully watch him get beaten and banished like a criminal. I could never forget the smug look on Teresa's face that day. Lukas' voice brought me back to the present. “....He will be buried alive tomorrow morning” my eyes widened as gasps echoed across the hall. No. I could not let him do that. I had to do something even if it meant begging and kneeling. Lukas left the council room and I ran after him. “Alpha Lukas" I called out, my feet hitting the marble floor as I ran harder. He stopped and turned to me. I caught up and I struggled to catch my breath. I grabbed his arm and his gaze became dark. "Please. Don't kill him" I pleaded, my eyes welled up with unshed tears. I failed to protect him in the Night shade pack, however, I could not stay silent this time or else, he would definitely die. "He committed a crime and should be punished for it" "Can you let it go? Just this once" My hands were clasped as I begged. "What is your relationship with this man?" "Well, he...... was my friend” “I don't care. My decision is final” he turned and walked away and I collapsed on the floor helplessly in the empty hallway.. I found the cell where Owen was kept. “To what do I owe this unpleasant visit” his voice was filled with spite as he glared at me. “How have you been?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. I cleaned my sweaty palms nervously. He scoffed. “My life was destroyed because of your goddamn family and now you are asking how I've been? I became a rogue because of all of you! Stop acting like you fucking care” he spat. “I'm sorry there was nothing I could do. I'll do my best to get you out. I promise” “I heard you became Luna” he scoffed “I bet your father pulled some strings to get you here. Do the pack members know how conceited and twisted your family is? Does your Alpha know?” I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat. I understood he was mad at being framed but his words were so hurtful. “Please don't bring Alpha Lukas into this. He's my fated mate. That is why I married him. Is anything wrong with that?” I questioned, anger bubbling inside of me. “Your mate?” He asked in disbelief. That he was spiteful did not mean he could talk to me anyhow he wanted. “I'll take my leave now” I said and walked away. When I returned, Alpha Lukas was at the table having breakfast. The maid tried to lead me to the table but I stopped her. “I'm not hungry” I said firmly and headed to my room. Our eyes met for a moment and I saw anger flashed in his eyes. When I entered the room, I let out a breath I didn't know and tried to calm my racing heart. Alpha Lukas was incredibly scary and I was not sure if my act of defiance was the right way to change his mind. My stomach rumbled loudly begging to be filled. I heard footsteps and hurriedly covered myself, pretending to sleep. I tensed up when the door opened and his familiar scent filled my nostrils. “Stand up” he ordered. I didn't move. “I know you are pretending” he sighed. “If you don't get up, I'll give an order for his immediate execution” I sprung up. “You can't do that!” He dipped his hands in his pockets. “Is that why you're refusing to eat? You think that will change my mind?” he shook his head. “Suit yourself” he said and walked out. I didn't see him for the rest of the day. I was so anxious that I didn't get any sleep. No one knew his whereabouts and Owen's execution was in a few hours. I didn't have his number and his parents had gone on a vacation. I paced back and forth, glancing at the time every now and then. Thunder echoed in the sky and in a few seconds, a heavy downpour began. Due to this, the execution was postponed. A few weeks passed and he didn't come home. At first, I thought he was avoiding me but I learned that there was some disturbance from humans at the border. On one hand, I found myself getting worried about him and on the other hand, I was relieved that Owen was still alive. Without the Alpha present, an execution cannot take place. I sat before the huge dining table, staring at the plate of pasta in front of me. For the past few days, I had been throwing up everything I consumed and just the sight of food made me want to puke. I cut a small portion and put it in my mouth. I had barely swallowed it when that familiar wave of nausea washed over me. I ran to the toilet and released a load of bile. I washed my face and stared at myself in the mirror. My whole body had become gaunt and I could barely stand for a long time. My ears rang loudly and I was starting to feel dizzy. I tried to hold onto something but there was none. My breaths became shallow and I fell, hitting my head against a sharp edge then I blacked out.Leo:In the hotel room Amber checked into, I sat on the edge of the bed with my shirt off, Amber wiped the blood off my face. For someone who spent days torturing me, her touch was surprisingly gentle. Her brows were furrowed in concentration and I couldn't stop staring, committing every inch of her face to memory. But a part of me was puzzled. When I decided to chase after her, I knew Cedric was a strong opposition. Or so I thought. Since we entered the room, she hasn't said a word to me. It probably had to do with her break up with Cedric.I had been half conscious but I heard it clearly. He said it was over between them if she left. And yet she did. She dabbed a deep cut on my head and I hissed from the sharp, stinging pain. A crazy idea popped in my head. Maybe….just maybe she felt something for me. She looked up and caught me staring. “What?”I swallowed. ‘Are you in love with me?’But I couldn't say that out loud, scared of what her answer might be. Instead I asked, “Why
Cedric:I entered the basement where Leo was forced to his knees, his hands tied back. One of my men had suffered a few bruises on his face. Leo must have put up quite a fight. He glared at me, breathing heavily. His eyes brimmed with anger and hate. “Leave us,” I said, holding his gaze. My men left the room and I stooped low to look him in the eye. “I guess you already know who I am”He growled in response. “What do you want from me?”The next second, my fist collided with his jaw. The crack of his bone echoed across the basement. His head snapped to the side, and he spat blood on the floor. I grabbed his hair and yanked it back. “You poisoned Amber and killed my child. And then you had the guts to send her flowers” He smirked. “I see what this is about. You are scared of losing Amber to me so you're trying to get me out of the picture”My lips twitched in fury. “You have no right to say her name” “She forgave me”“I didn't” I retorted, trying to stop my wolf from breaking o
Cedric:I took the elevator down to the tenth floor. After a long, awful meeting with the stakeholders, seeing Amber was just what I needed. I fixed my tie as the elevator dinged and slid open. My eyes scanned the floor and found Amber seated by her desk. However, my smile froze when I noticed a bouquet of roses sitting on her table. What surprised me was not the flower, but the smile on her lips as she read the card attached to it. Jealousy twisted in my stomach. I approached her desk and knocked on it gently before she finally noticed I was standing there. Her smile faded into something neutral. “Cedric, hi”My eyes flicked to the roses, trying my best not to sound jealous. “Nice flowers. Who sent them?”She waved a hand dismissively. “No one important. Just a friend I haven't seen in a while”“Really”I snatched the card away from her before she could stop it. Her eyes widened and she tried to take it back.I read the message. ‘I can't stop thinking about you and I know I don
Alex:I stood by the far corner of the hospital room, my arms crossed as Aunt Freya examined my mother. The pack hospital said she collapsed due to stress but my father had Aunt Freya brought in to be certain. He stood beside her, worry lines etched on his face. After what felt like an eternity, Aunt Freya opened her eyes. “She will be fine. She only overused her strength a bit”“What for?”“I'm a witch, not a seer, Alpha Lukas. I don't know” she said with a small smile. “With rest and proper care, she will be up in no time”“Thank you, Freya,” she nodded and left the room. My mother's eyes fluttered open and she sat up. “It appears that you're fine. I'll take my leave now”“Alexander” she called weakly and beckoned me closer. I thought about it for two seconds and approached her bed. Then her gaze shifted between us. “I'm sick of you two tearing each other apart every time. You will settle your difference or else, I will never speak to either of you again. I mean it” she threate
Elsie: Seeing the pure look of panic on his face, I couldn't hold back the laughter that bubbled inside me. “I was kidding. Of course I know who you are” He let out a shaky sigh of relief. “Don't do that again. My heart can't take it if you forget me” “Alright. I'm sorry. You look so serious, I could not resist. How long have I been unconscious?” “A week” He placed his forehead on mine. “But I'm glad you are awake” My smile faded and I took a deep breath. “Alex, I have something important to tell you” He pulled back with a reassuring smile. “You don't have to. I know” My brows furrowed. “What? How?” “I felt it the moment the bond was severed. Mother told me it was the reason you lost consciousness” “Your mum knows? Oh, my God, I'm pretty sure she hates me now. I'm so sorry. I did it without thinking. God, I'm so stupid…….” “It's okay” he cut in, brushing his thumb across my cheek. “I understand why you did it and I'm not mad” “What about Daphne? Is she oka
Alex:I felt it the moment the bond severed. It felt like a part of me was being torn apart. Daphne staggered on her feet, one hand flying to her chest, her breathing rapid. My wolf thrashed around and howled in agony. I gritted my teeth, pain radiating through every nerve in my body. “What…. what just happened?” Daphne asked, her eyes wide with shock and pain. However, I wasn't listening to her. My eyes were locked on Elsie, who sat frozen on the bed, her eyes distant.Did she do this?I was going to ask but first, Daphne had to leave because she had no idea about Elsie's gift as a fate binder.I was about to turn when I noticed a thick trail of blood running down from her nose. “Elsie?” She didn't reply. Before I could reach her, her body began to jerk violently, her eyes rolled back and a choked sound escaped her throat. I grabbed her shoulder. “Elsie!”Doctors and nurses rushed in and I was pulled away from her. I fought back instinctively. “I'm sorry but if you want us t
Mia: My eyes were still groggy with sleep as I felt the space beside me. It was cold and empty. Yawning, I heard faint whispers coming down the hallway. I slipped out of bed and walked towards the grand staircase. The closer I got, the clearer the voices became. “I wouldn't let you turn this
Mia: She was tall. Her long red cloak flowing behind her as she approached is, her face hidden behind a hood. She came to stand before is, the fireplace serving as the barrier. Her hands hovered above the flames and it slowly quenched. I narrowed my eyes, trying to get a good look at her face.
Mia:“Don't you dare make baseless accusations against me”“You think they are baseless? I'm sure you are aware that any pup born under an eclipse will be cursed, right?”Tense silence descended on the room. When my mother didn't reply, Luna Edith continued. “Your pups were born under an eclipse,
Mia: “It won't” “I won't be staying for long. If you change your mind, let me know” I pursed my lips. “You haven't seen me for seventeen years and this is what you say to me?” “This pack forbids witches from entering their territory. It's only a matter of time before they come looking for me
