LOGINALPHA BENSON
"Dr. Chris, you have been this pack doctor for two years now since your father retired. I know that you are not the one who helped my rejected mate, Emma Collins, welcome her child, who happens to be my daughter. But after what Emma did to me, I do not find her fit to be welcomed back in the sacred palace or to become my Luna. So that calls for our separation. But I would like to have a DNA test done on Celine, for me to know if she is really my daughter or maybe she belongs to someone else. You know..." I trailed off, not wanting to mention my father or brother's name here. Dr. Chris looked at me thoughtfully, as everyone in the pack was already aware that I had rejected Emma and sent her away. She was still indoors, and this all happened last month. But I am not going back, nor welcoming her back to the palace. "Okay, Alpha Benson. I can have the DNA test done and invite Emma and your child, Celine, to the hospital for a DNA test," Dr. Chris said, and I nodded. "I will need a blood sample to know if Celine is really my blood," I said, my eyes watching Dr. Chris's face, and he nodded. "You don't have anything to worry about, Alpha Benson. I will send for my assistant or one of the nurses to send the invitation to Emma's father's house today," Dr. Chris assured me. I stood up to leave his office, which was painted white and featured the anatomy of different kinds of humans and animals, most especially wolves. "Alright. I will take my leave now," I told Dr. Chris, and he stood up and escorted me out. "Alpha Benson, would you like to see the foreigners that were brought in injured? One was from the Bright Moon Pack, and she claims to be the Alpha's first daughter, which I am not yet sure of. But she is an Alpha wolf. And the second one is from the Dark Moon Pack—a man and an Omega. The last is a woman from the Shadow Pack," Dr. Chris concluded. "All three of them are awake except for the last one, who is yet to reveal the pack she came from. Making them three women and a man," Dr. Chris told me. I looked at the pack members coming in and out of the hospital lobby for their treatment. They greeted me upon entering, but my focus shifted back to Dr. Chris. "I would like to go and see them. But I have a business meeting to attend with the neighboring pack. Dennis will be here to get them as soon as he returns from his assignments. I have to go, and don't forget what we discussed," I told Dr. Chris, who replied, "Understood, Alpha." Thereafter, I marched away from the hospital lobby and walked out of the hospital. However, as I walked down to my car parked in the hospital grounds, I felt a pair of eyes watching me as I moved to my car to get in. Taking a swift glance backward, I looked at the hospital room window left ajar and saw enchanting blue eyes, and a beautiful short woman standing there. As soon as her blue eyes locked with mine, she swiftly moved away from the open window and hid, making my brows furrow. Odin rose back and muttered, "She is the one, Benson. She is our mate." My wolf was so excited after a few days of shutting me out after rejecting Emma. "Mmm," I sighed and looked back at the open window once more to see if the lady would peek out. But I didn't get to see her. "Is she Alpha Bruce's daughter of the Bright Moon Pack that Dr. Chris spoke to me about? No way," I muttered to myself, unlocked my car door, and got in. "Maybe she is the one. But she is mine," Odin said, but I shook my head and told him, "Don't be too excited. Who knows if she is a nymph like Emma. You should be more concerned about why her father banished her. Alpha Bruce is a very disciplined man, and I am certain she must have done something bad for her father to send her away. So don't get too excited about her." I warned Odin. He calmed down and shut me out again. I sighed and focused my attention on the road as I drove back to the office. It was where I welcomed other pack Alphas to partner with them and to discuss other matters affecting our packs. The wars had ended between the top packs after we could come to a business agreement. But for the upcoming packs, their lands were either up for attack, so they were mostly on high alert in case of any invasion or intruders coming into their territory. I kept my gaze focused on the road, and a few minutes later, I arrived at the front of the company's gate, where the warriors stationed there pulled the gate open and welcomed me. "Welcome, Alpha," the two warriors said. "Thank you," I replied, and drove my car into the company grounds and parked it. When I got out, I saw that Beta Andrew had arrived too. However, he was not alone; he arrived with a young man who looked like him, whom I assumed was his son, Ace Lennox. I hadn't met Ace before, but I've heard so many stories about him, and I am certain that he had heard about me too. I heard that Alpha Bruce believes in sending Ace to destroy other poor packs and wage wars against them. "Welcome, Alpha Benson. We arrived around thirty minutes ago and were told to await your arrival," Beta Andrew said, as he walked up to shake hands with me. However, Ace stood with a strict look on his face and a narrowed expression. He was seething with rage and trying to control it as his gaze swept over me. "Ace, wouldn't you greet Alpha Benson? He is the new Alpha of this pack. Go on and bow to him," Beta Andrew said, but Ace looked away and replied, "Father, I am going to be the new Alpha of the Bright Moon Pack, and you do not expect me to bow to any other werewolves." "Mmm, what arrogance," I muttered, and Ace glared at me. "Forgive him, Alpha Benson. Ace is still new to learning the Alpha's training and business strategies. So please overlook his rudeness. Ace," Beta Andrew shifted his face and looked at his son. "What has come over you?" he asked his son, who sniffed the air, like he was trying to track a scent. Ace's brown eyes glowed as he moved to meet me and sniffed me in front of my company. He did not care to submit to me or to bow. He grasped my shirt and muttered, "Why do you smell so much like Mallory?" "Mallory?" I raised my eyebrows and wondered who he was talking about. "ACE!" Beta Andrew marched up to meet us and smacked Ace on the back of his head. "Are you crazy? How dare you speak of Mallory here? She is your rejected mate, and you are forbidden to mention her. Moreover, she is dead, and we heard that she was eaten by some forest animals," Beta Andrew shouted, and Ace's gaze fell. "I am sorry, Father... I got carried away. Forgive me, Alpha Benson." Ace quickly let go of my shirt and stepped back. I looked at Ace and sighed, "Don't let this happen again. Else, I will cut off my pack's partnership with yours." "Thank you, Alpha Benson," Beta Andrew said, but I left them and walked into my company's building. The staff on the first floor welcomed me while I made my way to the elevator and rode up to my office on the fifth floor. I have several establishments, and those I'm trying to launch to help my pack members.(Alpha Benson's POV)"Benson, what happened?" Dad asked as I arrived at the private room where my mother had been transferred.Dad stood with a stern face, dressed in a brown shirt and trousers as he glared at me."Dad, this is Mom's fault. Why did she go to attack Mallory?" I asked my father, meeting his gaze."No matter what, Mallory has no right to attack your mother. Do you see why she can't be trusted and she needs to be sent away?" Dad said, his voice firm, and I frowned."Dad, I will handle this on my own. As the Alpha, I haven't decided on Mallory's punishment yet. So let me see Mom."I moved past my father and stepped into the private room to see my mother. Her head was wrapped with several layers of bandages, and she hadn't sustained any broken bones."Benson, are you happy with my current appearance now?" Mom asked as she lay on the hospital bed and met my gaze."I only went there to confront Mallory, and she attacked me even before I could ask her what she did," Mom vented
(Mallory's POV)"I didn't mean to attack the Luna. I was just trying to protect myself," I said as Beta Dennis led me into the dungeon and locked the gates heavily."You are still a foreigner, and just because Alpha Benson is kind to you doesn't mean you should forget your place and hurt his mother," Dennis retorted coldly."But she attacked me first," I tried to explain as I glanced at the dark cell."Save it. You will remain here until Alpha Benson is ready to pass judgment on you," Dennis retorted as he turned and walked away, leaving me alone in the cell."What came over you, Selena? You shouldn't have attacked the Luna like that," I blamed my wolf as I moved to sit in a corner of the cell."If I hadn't attacked her, she would have attacked you and hurt your babies. Would you have preferred that? What did you do wrong to deserve her torture? It's not like you caused Emma and Celine's accident," Selena replied angrily. She was seething with rage that she had done nothing wrong."Wh
BOWEN:I was at the Pack Hospital when Eunice mind-linked me."Bowen, please, can I go and visit Mallory? Ever since Alpha Benson took her away from the farmhouse, I haven't seen her. Please…" she begged me, and I couldn't say no to her request. We had already sealed our bond. I had already marked and claimed her. Although I said we wouldn't, the mate bond was so strong that I couldn't resist the urge to touch and claim her.I had mated with her the previous night and wanted to invite her over to the hotel for us to continue, but with Emma's accident and Celine's unconscious state, I couldn't. It would be cruel of me to be mating during such critical moments for my family.Benson was weakened seeing his daughter's unconscious state. It had been more than three hours since Celine had been in a coma, yet her eyes were still shut. Her body only stirred at noise or whenever anyone touched her hands, but she wasn't waking up. She remained pale on the bed, and we feared losing her."Alright
MALLORY:Meeting Eunice’s eyes, I shook my head and denied the bond."No. Alpha Benson only wants to keep me safe. You know that I am pregnant by my rejected mate from my old pack. And also, he has other plans for business negotiations with my father," I replied, denying the bond. I knew that Eunice was my friend, but I didn't want to admit to a bond that I knew would be broken.Alpha Benson had a family. With Celine in a coma and Emma having broken her legs, I was sure that he would not leave them for me. After all, I wasn't a saint, and I was already pregnant by another man.The bond was as good as broken.Selena growled in my head, "Don't say that. Alpha Benson will not reject us!"I pushed my wolf away; I could not believe her. What was more important, if not family? I had seen the way Alpha Benson prioritized his daughter, and I knew that her happiness came first."Alright. I almost forgot that you are an Alpha wolf from the Bright Moon Pack," Eunice said, her voice full of respe
MALLORY:I was in the kitchen helping Madam Scarlet prepare dinner, as I wanted to learn how to cook so that I would be able to take care of my own children when they arrived.I stood near the kitchen cabinets, selecting the leaves and cutting them from the stem for Madam Scarlet to slice. She wanted to make vegetable soup and okra for my dinner.Just then, Beatrice arrived and dashed into the kitchen. She wore a blue dress, her body trembling as she breathed heavily, like someone who had just run a marathon."What happened, Beatrice?" Madam Scarlet and I quickly turned to face her; Madam Scarlet looked as if she feared someone was pursuing her daughter."Mom," Beatrice breathed out heavily and strode toward the kitchen cabinets to meet us, just as we stopped what we were doing and waited for her to speak. My mind raced.Did Emma try to attack Beatrice on the road? Beatrice had left for a tutorial, as she was preparing to gain admission into the pack university. So, what could be wron
ALPHA BENSON:"Calm down, Alpha. I will take you to meet Celine. Let me complete the paperwork for Emma's surgery first," Dr. Chris replied as I glared at him.Letting go of Dr. Chris' shirt, I mind-linked Bowen immediately."Where are you?""Emergency ward. The ICU," Bowen said, and my knees buckled at the thought of my little daughter clinging to life support in the ICU."Alright," I ended the mind-link and wanted to make my way to the ICU, as the hospital was crowded with the other victims' relatives crying."Ex-Luna, Emma, was at fault! She didn't concentrate on her driving or obey the traffic light. She rammed into our father's car!" The other families cried and wailed at us.Unfortunately, they were quick to dodge Emma's assault, but their car got hit, and they sustained injuries too. Before I could exit the crowded hospital lobby, as all that mattered to me was to see my daughter, my mother arrived and growled at me, "Benson, where are Emma and my granddaughter?""Mom," I sighe
Alpha Benson's POV:I was in my office, working on a project at hand, when Dennis contacted me via our mind link."Alpha.""What's it?" I asked him as I recalled Celine begging me not to visit the new mansion where I had taken Mallory to live until we were ready to finalize our rejection.I wasn't
Mallory's POV:I was in my room on the top floor of the mansion, preparing to sleep as I was still anxious about leaving the house or using the landline in the living room to place a call to Beta Dennis. However, as I lay on the soft bed, thinking about the upcoming Luna Selection and the chances t
Alpha Benson's POV:When I entered my room, I went to place my briefcase in my private study, then I stepped out to undress. Recalling how happy Mallory was when I gave her the barbecue. "Alpha, are you going to choose another woman aside from our Mate?" Odin asked, as he became restless after hea
*Mallory's POV* "Mmm," Dr. Chris looked away from me and raised the medical report in his hand. He said, "You're two weeks pregnant, which I assumed you have been unconscious for more than two weeks that we all assumed." He frowned and looked at me. "No one is expected to have survived that long i
