MasukBLURB FOR THREE YEARS I WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A TOOL. Rowan used me to manage his pack while he took all the credit. Then he threw me away like trash, publicly, at our own engagement party—for a woman claiming to be an alpha heiress. They called me worthless. Wolfless. An omega who didn't deserve respect. That night, I made a choice. I walked into a bar and straight into the arms of a devastatingly handsome stranger. One night with someone who I never imagine would change my life so drastically. Except the next morning, I proposed something crazy: a one-year contract marriage. To my shock, he said yes. Caelan is everything Rowan never was—attentive, generous, mysterious. He treats me like I matter. Like I'm someone worth protecting. But he's hiding something. His wealth, his power, the way people defer to him... nothing adds up. As I rise through the Council Board trials, proving I'm more than anyone believed, I'm falling desperately in love with a man who might only see someone else when he looks at me. But I have secrets too. And when my true power awakens, everything—my past, my identity, my heart—will shatter and reshape in ways I never imagined. He saved me once. Now I'll have to decide if I can save us both.

Today was the day.
I checked my reflection one last time, smoothing the soft blue fabric of my gown. Three years. Three years of waiting, of proving myself, of loving Rowan with everything I had. And today, at his coronation ceremony, he would finally choose me as his Luna.
As the only female heiress born to one of the four royal families in over a century, I had chosen to hide my identity to pursuit my true love.
My mother didn't believe Rowan would love me. She always believed he was nothing good.
Well... she never liked any of the men I brought.
But I believed Rowan was different, and I wanted to prove it to her so badly.
So I made a bet with her. If he chose me as his luna, I would stay here with him and build our future together, otherwise I would have to return to face a political marriage.
But I knew that say would never come. Rowan loved me more than life itself... or so I thought.
I took a deep breath, my heart racing with anticipation. Any moment now, Rowan would come to my room to escort me to the ceremony. I'd planned every detail myself over the past month, pouring love into every arrangement, every decoration. Everything was perfect.
A roar of cheering suddenly erupted outside.
My stomach dropped. The ceremony had started? But Rowan hadn't come for me yet.
I rushed to the door and flung it open, my heels clicking against the stone floor as I ran toward the grand hall. The massive doors stood open, golden light spilling out, and I could hear Rowan's voice echoing inside.
No. No, this couldn't be happening.
I reached the entrance and froze.
Rowan stood on the raised platform, magnificent in his ceremonial robes, the alpha crown gleaming on his head. But he wasn't alone. A woman in a stunning red dress stood beside him, her hand clasped in his, her face glowing with triumph.
Selene Ravenshade.
"I present to you my chosen Luna!" Rowan's voice rang out across the packed hall. He pulled Selene closer, his eyes warm as he gazed at her. "Selene Raveshade, daughter of the Raveshade bloodline, a true female alpha heiress. Our union will bring unprecedented strength to this pack!"
The Alpha heiress?
That was impossible!
I was the only Female Alpha heiress!
But just as I was about to shout it over, the crowd erupted in deafening cheers.
I felt my legs trembled as it nearly gave out. This couldn't be real. This had to be some nightmare I'd wake up from.
“Rowan!" My voice came out as a desperate cry, but it was swallowed by the celebration.
I pushed through the crowd, people barely noticing me as I stumbled forward. "Rowan, wait! I need to tell you something! I'm the—"
His eyes found mine across the hall. Cold. Dismissive. And then he made a subtle gesture with his hand.
Two guards appeared on either side of me, their hands gripping my arms firmly.
"Let me go!" I struggled against them. "Rowan, please! It's me, your Freya! I'm—"
But Rowan had already turned away, his attention back on Selene. He descended from the platform with her on his arm, gazing at her with such tenderness, such affection. The same look I'd dreamed of seeing in his eyes when he looked at me.
He passed right by me without a single glance.
The truth crashed over me like ice water.
He'd used me.
Three years of managing his pack affairs, of smoothing over disputes, of helping him climb to power, all while I believed he was falling in love with me.
I'd been nothing but a tool. And now that he had what he wanted, I was disposable.
“Isn't that the omega who's been following Alpha Rowan around?"
“Poor thing. Did she actually think she had a chance?"
“A wolf less omega dreaming of being Luna. How pathetic."
The whispers cut through me like knives. The guards released me, and I stood there alone in the crowd, everyone's eyes on me with pity and cruel amusement.
I had to prove them wrong. I had to show them who I really was.
“Rowan!” I cried out, my throat burning from the pain of disappointment. “I am the true alpha heiress. That woman, Selene, she’s a fraud.” I said, my voice cutting through the air and causing the crowd to quiet down.
Rowan froze in place, his back facing me.
“I kept it a secret all these years because I had to prove to my mother that true love could get me married, not my title or political standings.” I explained, the piercing eyes around me weighing on my shoulders like a bag of salt.
Rowan turned around immediately, Selene clasped tightly around his arm. His eyes softened for a while like his senses had returned, like he could finally recognize that I should be his Luna.
“You’re not actually believing this liar right?” Selene cut in with a sneer and the softness vanished from his eyes immediately.
She turned to the crowd, her eyes scanning their faces. “Can’t you all see that she’s desperately trying to discredit me because she’s frustrated? She’s nothing but a useless omega.” She spat.
As the crowd began to murmur in agreement, she turned back to Rowan. “Who are you going to believe? The Luna you actually love or this tramp?” She hissed, her nose flaring.
I couldn’t hold back the tears at that moment, my stomach churned but my heart burned even more. Rowan is mine! He should be mine.
“No, you have to believe me, I’m the alpha heiress.” I cried out.
“That’s impossible.” Someone from the crowd said. “A wolfless omega cannot be the alpha heiress.” Another added and sook they all began to whisper amongst themselves, to my detriment.
Their words clouded Rowan’s mind and his gaze turned ice cold towards me. “If you’re sure you really are the alpha heiress then let’s see your wolf. Surely that should be an easy feat for you.” He said, his voice cold.
“Of course.” Selene chipped in, her lips twitching. I could see the fear in her eyes.
This was my only chance to prove myself. If the moongoddess was really up there, I needed her now.
I closed my eyes and reached for my wolf, calling to something— anything that could prove I was no ordinary Omega.
But something was wrong — it felt smothered, pressed down beneath by an invisible weight. The harder I strained, the more it resisted, and a white-hot agony ripped through my chest as though my own body was working against me.
I gasped, doubling over as pain radiated through every organ, every bone. My vision blurred, I couldn’t shift.
I didn’t give up, I refused to.
I dug deeper, my heart pounding like a drum against my ribs, my teeth gritting against the sharp, tearing pain. With every second the pressure built, and then I felt it, a surge of energy rippling through me, wild and uncontrollable, like I was brushing against something just out of reach.
I was close, so close.
My breath caught when I glanced at the tip of my hair and saw the strands shifting, turning from their familiar color into white.
“Oh my,” I whispered, the word barely making it past my lips.
Chapter 102AuroraFirst came the voices, and then my vision slowly faded into focus. Freya’s face towered above mine and her lips curved into a smile the moment I opened my eyes. “You’re awake..” she exhaled, helping me sit up from the bed. “Where’s Daniel?” I asked and she stepped aside. Daniel ran to me, playing the concerned fiancé as he looked at me with feigned pity. “Oh Aurora… What happened to you? I came into the room and you were on the floor unconscious.”I glanced at Freya and she rolled her eyes. Looking at Daniel now I felt nothing but rage and disgust for him. He took my hand in his and planted a kiss on the back of my hand. “Let’s leave the two lovers to have some time for themselves..” my father ordered and that’s when I noticed the other people in the room. “You’re all just going to leave like that?” Freya interrupted and they all turned to look at her, myself included. “What would you have them do, Freya?” Daniel asked, his eyes flaring like hot coal. “Well f
Chapter 101AuroraThe night drew closer and my heart pounded in my chest but I reassured myself that nothing would go wrong. The cameras were in place, Freya was on standby while Marcus kept tabs. As for Caelan, I haven’t heard from him since we parted at the florist’s store. I already freshened up and my night robe trailed behind me as I paced slowly from one end of the room to the other. Daniel was still speaking with some people I didn’t recognize outside but I already dropped a text that we needed to talk and I knew he’d rush in any moment from now. My phone buzzed and I jerked, almost jumping out of my skin. I rolled my eyes and walked over to the table where the phone lay. Freya’s name lit up the screen and I glanced at the door before picking it up. “Hey..” I muttered“How’s it going? Is he there yet?” She asked and I rolled my eyes “Freya, you think if Daniel was in here I’d take this call to tell you whether or not he is?” I shot back impatiently. “Right… you’re right
Chapter 100CaelanThe shrill sound from my phone tore through the silence of my evening nap and I lazily dragged myself up from the bed. I would have ignored the call, but the persistence of the caller only made me believe this was an emergency and my mind flew to Freya. I groped around and finally found my phone hidden under one of my pillows. Daren. “What’s he calling me for?” I groaned as I took the call, lifting the phone to my ear. “I’ve been trying to reach you sir, there’s something I need you to see.” He blurted quickly and I sat up on the bed, rubbing my eyes. “Isn’t it something that can be said over the phone?” I grumbled. “I’m afraid not, sir. It’s about the witch..” Those words washed off all that was left of the sleep in my eyes. “Where are you?” I asked. “Downstairs sir.” He responded and I jumped down the bed. “Give me ten minutes.” I ordered and ended the call. I freshened up, changed into a pair of jeans and a shirt. There was no time to take care of my hai
Chapter 99FreyaI always suspected something like this would come up, especially after Aurora asked me to come stay with her. I knew her father and Daniel would insist that the wedding be rushed to avoid anything I might do to thwart their plans. But what they don’t understand is that they may be playing checkers, but I’m not just playing chess. I’m going to ruin the hell out of Daniel’s life, he’ll crawl back into the shell he spawned out from. Aurora argued with her father about the ritual of light but I knew she was wasting her time, so I crept back upstairs to her room the same way I crept down to listen and picked up my phone from the vanity. The first person I called was Marcus and as if he was already expecting my call, he answered immediately. “Hey, any update?” He asked and I made sure the door was shut before speaking. “There’s a bit of a hassle over here. Her father brought the elder for the ritual of light..” I said and I heard him hold his breath. “Isn’t that suppo
