LOGINFor a moment, only the sound of rain could be heard.
“What did you say?” the man asked.
“I said, be my boyfriend,” Arya repeated, looking him straight in the eye.
He stared at her blankly.
No one had ever dared to meet his gaze. People trembled before him.
But here she was—looking at him with hope.
Something stirred within him.
His wolf moved.
A hint of surprise flashed through his eyes. His wolf only reacted to bloodshed. Why was it responding to this woman?
At that thought, his grip around her neck tightened. Just one move, and she would be dead.
That was how fragile human life was.
“Who are you?” he murmured, his voice dangerously low.
Arya felt the pressure on her neck, but she didn’t understand the danger.
So she smiled simply and replied, “Arya.”
Her name echoed in his mind like a soft melody.
But her smile annoyed him.
“Do you have a death wish?” he asked, an evil smirk playing on his lips.
Arya blinked.
“A death wish?” she repeated, as if tasting the words.
Then she shook her head.
“No. I just think you’re very beautiful.”
Daxiel went still.
Beautiful?
No one had ever used that word for him.
Fear. Respect. Terror.
Those were the only things people felt in his presence.
His grip loosened slightly.
Arya noticed immediately.
“So… will you?” she asked again, leaning closer, her eyes sparkling. “I’ve never had a boyfriend before.”
“…You won’t have one,” he replied flatly.
“Oh,” she said softly.
For a second, she looked disappointed.
Then—
“That’s fine,” she added quickly. “You can just be my first.”
Daxiel’s brows furrowed.
This girl was insane.
His gaze darkened.
“Let go.”
Arya glanced at her hands, still wrapped around his leg.
“Oh.”
She released him immediately and stood up, dusting her dress like nothing had happened.
Then she looked around.
Her eyes widened.
“So this is outside…” she whispered.
There was wonder in her voice.
Daxiel watched her silently.
Her reaction didn’t match the situation—nor the world.
“Where are you from, kid?” he asked.
Arya turned back to him with a smile.
“From inside.”
“…Inside what?”
She pointed behind her.
Daxiel followed her finger.
A hole in the wall.
His eyes narrowed. Why would anyone come out of a wall?
He stepped closer, his gaze cold and sharp.
Arya didn’t move or flinch.
Instead, she looked up at him like he was something fascinating.
“Who sent you?” he asked.
Arya blinked again.
“No one sent me,” she said simply. “I came out myself.”
His eyes searched hers for any hint of a lie, but there was none.
The rain fell harder between them as his intense gaze bore into her.
Just then, a car pulled up beside them.
A man leaned out of the window.
“Daxiel!”
They both turned at the same time.
Arya looked back at him.
So his name is Daxiel.
He glanced at her one last time before stepping into the car.
Arya immediately realized he was about to leave.
She had been gone from the mansion for a while now. They would soon notice she was missing.
She had to leave.
Now.
She stopped the door from closing.
“Take me with you,” she said, leaning into the car.
Daxiel didn’t even look at her.
“Drive,” he told the chauffeur.
He moved to shut the door—
But Arya grabbed it with all her strength and slipped inside, landing directly on his lap.
“Run. They’re coming,” she whispered, her face tense with fear.
She had spotted one of the guards from the mansion.
His hand shot to her waist, gripping tightly.
“Get off,” he said, his voice dropping dangerously.
A saint waved through his nose. The kind that made his wolf growled and he recognised it immediately.
“No! They’ll catch me,” Arya said, shaking her head as she clung to him.
“That’s your problem, kid,” he replied coldly.
The man in the front seat spoke up.
“We should leave now, Daxiel. It’ll soon be midnight.”
Daxiel ran a hand through his hair. He stared at Arya for a while and his gaze darkened.
“…Drive.”
The car started moving.
His hand loosened from her waist. Let her be for now, her end was coming soon.
He leaned back and closed his eyes, ignoring her completely, lost in thought.
Arya looked around the car, her eyes shining with curiosity.
Everything was black.
Strange.
New.
She had never been inside a car before.
The man in the front seat turned and smiled.
“Hello, miss.”
Arya looked at him.
She knew he was talking to her—there was no one else.
He flashed a bright smile.
He was handsome too.
Not as handsome as Daxiel, though.
She wondered if everyone outside was this beautiful.
“I’m Luciano,” he introduced himself.
Arya smiled back, unsure of what to say.
She had met very few people in her life.
So they simply stared at each other, smiling.
After a while, Arya grew tired and looked away.
Her gaze fell back on Daxiel.
His eyes were still closed.
Seeing him up close again made her chest flutter.
A soft smile formed on her lips.
He was so handsome.
She noticed his furrowed brows—it didn’t suit him.
So she reached out to smooth them.
His eyes snapped open.
Red.
Completely red.
He glared at her, an oppressive aura bursting from him.
But Arya wasn’t intimidated in the slightest.
“Where are you taking me?” she asked.
“To kill you,” he replied coldly.
Arya’s heart jumped.
She frowned.
“You’re scaring me.”
A dark smirk appeared on his lips.
“Then get off.”
“Never,” Arya said, shaking her head as she settled more comfortably on his lap.
Daxiel’s eyes narrowed.
She wasn’t afraid at all.
If only she knew—
He meant every word.
He was planning to feed her to the fish.
For the first time in years…
something had disrupted him.
And he didn’t like it.
"Which one is next?" he simply asked.Arya raised her head slightly to look at him. She hadn't expected him to say anything. She thought he might still be angry. She couldn't help but feel guilty. He had been so good to her, yet she was always causing him trouble.Daxiel noticed she had gone quiet and asked,"Not talking?"Arya nodded but remained silent.Daxiel couldn't help but think she was acting strangely, but he said nothing. He continued massaging the ointment onto her back.He wasn't even sure whether he had applied enough ointment or if she needed more, but he eventually stopped. He stood up, ready to leave the room, but Arya grabbed the edge of his shirt.Daxiel paused and turned back."What?""I'm sorry," she apologized softly, her voice trembling as she looked at him with teary eyes.Daxiel was surprised by her apology. He had already forgiven her. What he hadn't expected was for her to apologize. He remained silent and turned to leave, unsure how to respond. But Arya refu
Luciano kept his mouth shut and quietly watched. Before Arya could finish what was already in her mouth, Daxiel brought another spoonful to her lips.Arya wanted to refuse, but Daxiel gave her no chance. He kept forcing the food down her throat, just as he had promised.Arya tried to stand up, but Daxiel pinned her back in place, thinking she was trying to run away.In reality, she was feeling nauseous. Before Daxiel could realize what was happening, Arya vomited everything she had eaten all over him.The air instantly went still."What the hell just happened?" Luciano muttered, his eyes widening in shock.Without being told, he could already tell Arya was finished this time.Daxiel couldn't bear the sight. His eyes immediately shut, and his hands clenched tightly at his sides.Arya seized the opportunity and bolted. She jumped to her feet and ran away.Butler Neil rushed over at once and ordered the maids to bring wet wipes and towels.Even he felt Arya was doomed.Carefully, he bega
Slade was so afraid that Daxiel might hit Arya that he immediately ran away with her on his back.Arya, however, seemed completely unaware of the danger. She even turned around and made faces at Daxiel. When they arrived at the parking lot, Slade couldn't tell which car belonged to Daxiel, but then Luciano waved them over.Slade carefully lowered Arya into the back seat before scolding her."Why would you hit him?""I was just taking revenge. He refused to carry me," Arya replied.Luciano blinked.Could she be talking about Daxiel? The moment he saw Daxiel approaching with a dark expression, he immediately knew she was."Arya actually hit Daxiel?"He couldn't help feeling sorry for whatever fate awaited her."What if he hits you back?" Slade asked."He wouldn't," Arya replied quickly. However, her confidence wavered the moment she saw Daxiel getting closer.Slade hurried over to him."I'm sorry for my daughter's actions."Daxiel simply walked past him.Slade could only sigh and return
Daxiel glanced at Slade sharply."Why is that?"Slade could feel the temperature drop, but he still replied,"Arya is not safe by your side. She almost lost her life because of you.""And who saved her?" Daxiel questioned."You might have saved her this time, but what about next time? First it was Nyx, now it's her children. Who knows who will be next?"Daxiel's expression darkened and his eyes narrowed."Finn said something to you."Slade's expression faltered. Daxiel was right.Earlier that day, Slade had gone home to get a change of clothes for Arya before her discharge. As he drove out of his mansion, he saw a figure standing in front of his car with his back facing him.He honked, but the person didn't move.Annoyed, Slade got out of the car."If you want to die, go jump into a river. Don't stand in my way."The words died in his throat when the man turned around."Prince Finn," he muttered. He immediately lowered his head."I apologize. I didn't know it was you."Finn spoke calm
Meanwhile, in another hospital room, Crystal lay on the bed as the doctor examined her, while Luciano sat nearby, watching with concern. After a thorough examination, the doctor finally spoke."Nothing serious."Luciano frowned."How could it be nothing serious? She was having difficulty standing on her own. Did you check the bones?""Yes," the doctor nodded. But Luciano could hear the hesitation in his voice."Is anything broken?" he asked."No. It's only superficial injuries," the doctor explained."That's great," Luciano said with a sigh of relief."I'll prescribe an ointment for the affected area," the doctor added.Luciano nodded."Will she need to be admitted?""There's no need. She can go home," the doctor replied.Luciano glanced at Crystal, who was lying on the bed. She hadn't said a word since the examination ended."Crystal," he called. There was no response.Worried, Luciano moved closer.Only to discover that she had fallen fast asleep."That fast?" he thought. Then he re
Slade immediately left for the bathroom.Daxiel walked over to Arya and sat in front of her. He picked up the spoon and held it out to her.Arya didn't take it."My hands are injured. I can't feed myself. You have to do it," she said.Daxiel glanced at her bruised hands, and a cold glint flashed across his eyes."I really want to kill those three brothers again," his wolf muttered through gritted teeth.Daxiel picked up the spoon, scooped a spoonful of porridge, and brought it to her mouth.Arya refused to open it."What now?" Daxiel muttered irritably."You should blow on it," Arya instructed.Daxiel's gaze darkened."Don't overstep your boundaries.""I'm not. The porridge is hot. It will burn my mouth," Arya replied with an aggrieved look.Daxiel wanted to slam the bowl onto the floor and walk away, but his wolf immediately warned him."Don't you dare. It's the least you owe her."Daxiel gritted his teeth in frustration. Finally, he brought the spoon closer to his lips and blew on i
Slade and Crystal arrived outside the South Gates at exactly 5 p.m.Even though the message said 7 p.m., they were in a hurry to see Arya, so they arrived early.Crystal tried to call the number, but it didn’t go through. With no choice, they had to wait until 7 p.m.After what seemed like eternity
Arya quickly stood up to take the phone from Luciano, her body yet to regain its strength. Her legs wobbled, and she almost fell.Daxiel reacted quickly and held her. But Arya wasn’t giving up. She quickly snatched the phone from Luciano.“Crystal,” she said into the phone.“Arya, is that you?” Cry
Daxiel laid Arya gently on the bed and covered her with a blanket. He sat beside her as Luciano entered the room with Butler Neil.Daxiel’s gaze immediately turned cold as it landed on Butler Neil.“How do you want to die?” he asked quietly.Butler Neil felt chills run down his spine and quickly fe
Earlier that day, Arya had woken up with a pounding headache after crying herself to sleep. This had become her routine over the past few days—throwing tantrums all day and crying herself to sleep at night. At this point, she realized it wasn’t going to work. She should have understood that sooner.
