Isabella’s Pov

“You did what?!” Maryann screamed in my ears. Maryann or Mary like to call her was my friend and roommate. We stayed in a two-bedroom flat and shared the rent.

“Hey…calm down, it is not a bad idea,” I said to her but she shook her head in disagreement.

“When I saw you on the front page of the biggest blog in town and your hands were hooked with the city’s youngest billionaire—who I was surprised you don't know about, I knew something was up.” she continued to blab.

“Mary, it is just business—call it a mutual benefit.” I stood up and walked to the kitchen to get myself a snack.

“Benefits? He asked you to be his girlfriend!” Mary repeated the words I said to her.

“Fake girlfriend.” I corrected

“It is all the same! Do you know he has a fiancee?” She looked at me with concern.

“Ex-fiance!” I corrected it again as I made my milkshake.

“Hennesey Lang is not someone who you make an ex?” she pulled up her I*******m account which had close to ten million followers. “She is the only daughter of the Lang group—a powerful family who run a lot of things here in New York. She is an actress, model, and influencer with a huge fan base named Henney. Her biggest collaboration was the one with the brand named after her.”

I passed Mary her share of the milkshake as she continued to read Hennessy's life biography from Wikipedia.

“Anything else?” I picked up my drink and walked to the living room with some pizza which was in the fridge.

“Yes! Her net worth is over two hundred million dollars and yours is not even on Wikipedia. She started to date Noah Jake the young billionaire last three years and it seems to have ended with Noah deleting every trace of her from his socials but they have been occasionally seen multiple times in events.”

I ran my hands through my hair as I grumbled about this, “Okay, enough. I have heard you, Hennessy Lang cannot be an ex.”

“Finally! I am getting through to you.”

“But I am still going ahead with the plan.” I burst her bubbles as I picked up my phone, dialing the number of Noah’s assistant, “This the one chance to save something precious to me, and if pretending to be the girlfriend of the richest man in New York gets me there, so be it.”

Mary looked at me for a while before shrugging, “If you say so….Just be careful, Hennessy is not someone to mess with.”

Mary picked up her food and walked to her room.

The phone rang twice before it was answered, “Hello.” The voice from the phone came.

“Good afternoon, J-Enterprise, Joshua speaking.”

I took a deep breath, knowing there was no going back, “Is this Master Noah’s secretary speaking?”

“Yes it is, please who is on the line.”

“Hmm, it’s Isabella. I was calling to let you know that I am ready to sign the agreement.”

“Fantastic, I would communicate the time and place for the signing. Please don’t be late.”

The call ended and just like that I had taken the first step in being the girlfriend of Noah Jake. It felt unreal but I was here and I couldn’t go back.

“Dad, I am doing this for you. Hope you are proud and you keep me safe.” I said to myself.

…………………

I stepped out of the most expensive car I had ever stepped foot into. Noah had sent over his car to come to get me after telling me we would have dinner to celebrate and also sign the contract in the restaurant.

I walked into a 5-star restaurant with my knee-length gown which hugged my body perfectly. My hair was packed up with my makeup done to the minimum.

A waitress walked up to me, “Welcome to La Grand Restaurant, do you have a reservation?”

“Yes, under the name of Noah Jake,” I said in a low tone.

She flicked through her iPad and after a while, she looked up, “Oh, see it. This way, Master Jake has already checked in.”

We walked into the lobby and up into the elevator which overlooked the busy night city. We got off on the seventh floor, which has a huge hall and different doors.

She handed me a key card, “This is your key and your table is reserved in room five.”

I took the card and nodded, “Thank you.”

The waitress gave a slight nod and walked out, leaving me to navigate the hall. I looked carefully for room five and when I found it I took a deep breath before I placed the card on the door to unlock the door.

I pushed the door open and stepped inside, my eyes adjusting to the dimly lit room. The table was set for two, with a breathtaking view of the city skyline.

Noah stood up from his seat, a charming smile spreading across his face. "Isabella, you look stunning," he said, his eyes roaming over my dress.

I felt a flutter in my chest as I walked towards him. "Thank you, Noah. You don't look so bad yourself."

We exchanged pleasantries as we sat down, the waiter arriving promptly to take our orders. As we waited for our food to arrive, Noah handed me a folder containing the contract.

I scanned through the pages, my eyes widening at the generous terms. It was a lucrative deal, one that would set me up for life.

Just as I was about to sign the contract, Noah reached out and took my hand, his touch sending shivers down my spine.

"I'm glad you're doing this, Isabella," he said, his eyes locked on mine. "I think we could be great together."

I felt a rush of excitement at his words, and for a moment, I forgot about the contract and the fake girlfriend arrangement. All I could think about was the spark of attraction between us.

And then, just as I was about to respond, the door burst open and a woman strode in, her eyes blazing with anger.

"Noah, what is going on here?" she demanded, her voice dripping with venom.

Noah's eyes narrowed, and he stood up, his face tense. "Hennessy, what are you doing here?”

  • BILLIONAIRE’S FAKE GIRL   Chapter 37

Isabella’s POVSunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Noah’s penthouse, painting the room in gold. For the first time in months, there were no guns on the nightstand. No encrypted messages lighting up our phones. No enemies lurking in the shadows. Just peace. And Noah. I stretched lazily, my bare skin sliding against the silk sheets as I turned to face him. He was already awake, propped up on one elbow, watching me with that intense, unreadable gaze that used to drive me crazy. Now, it just made my stomach flutter. “Morning,” I murmured, my voice still rough with sleep. Noah’s lips curved as he traced a finger down my bare arm. “You snored.” I swatted at him. “I do not snore.” “Like a chainsaw.” I shoved a pillow into his face, but he caught my wrist, pulling me against him with a laugh. His body was warm, solid, his heartbeat steady under my palm. Real. This was real. Noah brushed a kiss against my temple. “Sleep okay?” I nodded, tucking m

  • BILLIONAIRE’S FAKE GIRL   Chapter 36

Isabella’s POVNoah’s words hung in the air between us, raw and unfiltered. “I want you to be my girlfriend for real.“The warehouse was still smoldering behind us, the scent of gunpowder clinging to our clothes, but in that moment, none of it mattered. My heart hammered against my ribs, my breath caught somewhere between disbelief and exhilaration. I stared at him. “You’re serious?” Noah’s thumb brushed over my bruised cheek, his touch featherlight. “Dead serious.” A laugh bubbled up in my chest—half-hysterical, half-relieved. “You pick now to confess?” His lips quirked. “Better late than never.” Julian cleared his throat loudly from where he was zip-tying Hennessy’s wrists. “If you two are done making heart eyes at each other, we’ve got a traitor to hunt down and a mess to clean up.” Noah didn’t even glance at him. “Give us a minute.” Julian muttered something about disgusting lovebirds but dragged Hennessy toward the waiting SUVs, leaving us alone in the wreckage.

  • BILLIONAIRE’S FAKE GIRL   Chapter 35

Isabella’s POVThe abandoned warehouse loomed ahead, its rusted metal frame silhouetted against the bruised purple sky. It was the perfect trap—isolated, crumbling, and most importantly, rigged to blow. Noah moved like a shadow beside me, his eyes scanning the perimeter. “You remember the plan?” I adjusted the comm in my ear, nodding. “Draw her in. Let her think she’s won. Then—” “Then we end this.” His voice was a blade in the dark. We’d spent the last twelve hours preparing for this moment. Planting explosives. Setting up sniper nests. Leaving just enough breadcrumbs for Hennessy to follow. And now, we waited. Noah’s hand brushed mine, a silent reassurance. “Stay sharp.” I didn’t get the chance to respond. A flicker of movement near the east entrance. Then another.—-They were here. I pressed myself against the concrete pillar, my breath shallow my ear piece crackled to life—Julian’s voice, strained but steady. “Got eyes on six hostiles. Hennessy’s in the center.”

  • BILLIONAIRE’S FAKE GIRL   Chapter 34

Noah’s POVThe night air burned in my lungs as we sprinted through the trees, putting distance between us and the estate. Blood trickled down my temple from Hennessy’s graze, but I barely felt it. Adrenaline was the only thing keeping me upright. Isabella’s hand was clamped around mine, her grip iron-tight. She didn’t speak, but I could hear her ragged breaths, could see the way her body trembled with every step. She was hurt. And it was my fault. We didn’t stop until the gunfire faded into the distance, until the only sound was the rustle of leaves and our own pounding hearts. I pulled her behind a thick oak, pressing her against the bark as I scanned the darkness. No movement. No pursuers. Yet. Isabella’s fingers dug into my arm. “Noah—your head—” I caught her wrist before she could touch the wound. “It’s nothing.” Her jaw clenched. “You’re bleeding.” “And you’re shaking.” She swallowed hard, her eyes darting back the way we’d come. “They’ll follow us.” “I

  • BILLIONAIRE’S FAKE GIRL   Chapter 33

Isabella’s POVThe moment Hennessy stepped into the dim light, the air in the room turned to ice. She was exactly as I remembered—sharp, calculated, her dark eyes glinting with a cruelty that made my skin crawl. The last time I’d seen her, she’d been bleeding out on the floor of a warehouse, Noah’s bullet in her gut. Now, she looked perfectly in control. And that terrified me. “You look surprised,” she purred, circling me like a predator sizing up wounded prey. “Did you really think I’d stay down after what you did?” I clenched my jaw, forcing myself to meet her gaze. “Guess I should’ve aimed for your head.” Hennessy’s smile didn’t waver. “Cute.” She stopped in front of me, her manicured nails trailing along my jaw. “But we both know you’re not the one who pulled the trigger.” Noah. She wanted Noah. And I was the bait. Liam leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching with a smirk. “Told you she’d be feisty.” Hennessy’s fingers tightened, her nails digging int

  • BILLIONAIRE’S FAKE GIRL   Chapter 32

Isabella’s POVThe moment Ryan confirmed the mole had taken the bait, the room erupted into motion. Julian was already at the door, his usual smirk replaced by a razor-sharp focus. Mateo pulled a gun from his waistband, checking the magazine with practiced ease. Caleb and Ryan exchanged a silent nod before moving toward the security feeds. And Noah? His hand closed around my wrist, pulling me back before I could follow. His grip was firm, his eyes burning into mine. “You don’t move unless I say so.” I yanked my arm free. “This was my plan. I’m not staying behind.” His jaw tightened, but before he could argue, Julian cut in. “We don’t have time for this. The mole could be bolting right now” Noah’s gaze flickered between us, conflict flashing in his eyes. Then, with a sharp exhale, he grabbed my hand and pulled me forward. “Fine. But you stay close.” The command was absolute, leaving no room for debate. We moved fast. Ryan stayed behind to monitor communications, track

Isabella’s POVThe ride back from the docks was suffocating, the tension thick enough to choke on.
