Frederick's POV

I was supposed to be angry but to my growing annoyance, I was amused.

In all my years as Alpha General, no one had ever stood before me like this.

Yet, an ordinary Omega was still daring me to break him.

My wolf's actions surprised me in all of this, it had been silent for years since the death of my mate and for the first time, stirred violently inside me.

It paced like a beast driven mad, growling low in the back of my mind that made my skin feel too tight for my body.

It wanted him.

I tore my eyes away from him and turned sharply to the slave trader, who was already shaking so badly that sweat gleamed across his forehead.

“So this,” I said coldly, my voice carrying across the courtyard, “is what you brought into my pack?”

The trader immediately fell to his knees.

“M-My lord—”

“You brought a slave into my territory who spits venom in my face, insults me before my people, and stands in my courtyard as though he owns it.”

“My lord, forgive me, I—”

I raised my hand, cutting him off.

Then I looked at one of my guards.

“Shoot him.”

The courtyard exploded into shocked murmurs.

The trader’s eyes widened so much I thought they might fall out of his skull.

“My lord, please! Mercy! I have children—”

His begging disgusted me.

My guard stepped forward and lifted his weapon.

Before he could pull the trigger, everything happened so fast that I could barely comprehend.

One second, the Omega was on his knees, and the next, he was on his feet like a storm breaking loose.

His hand caught the guard’s wrist, twisting so sharply that a sickening crack split through the air.

The weapon fell from the guard’s hand, but before it could hit the ground, the Omega caught it effortlessly with his free hand.

Then he drove his fist straight into the guard’s jaw.

The impact sent the man crashing hard onto the stone floor.

He stood there breathing hard then, with clear disgust, he tossed it away.

He lifted his gaze and looked straight at me, then he hissed softly and wiped blood from his mouth with the back of his hand.

“I wasn’t wrong,” he said. “You really are a coward.”

He took one slow step toward me.

“A real leader handles his own battles,” he continued, his voice sharp with contempt. “He doesn’t hide behind guards and punish weaker people because his pride got bruised.”

A murmur ran through the courtyard again as my Beta shifted uneasily beside me but

I heard nothing except the pounding of my own blood.

Because somehow, impossibly, this reckless bastard had reached into my chest and pressed on the one wound that had never healed.

“For a feared Alpha,” he added with a crooked smile, “you look painfully fragile.”

I moved so fast no one saw me cross the distance.

My hand wrapped around his throat and I slammed him against the nearest pillar.

Gasps broke out around us as his feet left the ground.

My fingers tightened as his pulse beat wildly beneath my palm, his face reddening from lack of air.

Still, he smiled.

Mad bastard!

“You think death scares me?” he rasped.

I tightened my grip further.

“Do your worst Alpha, I'm not afraid of you!”

I was about to snap his neck when my  wolf roared so violently inside my head that my vision blurred.

“DON’T YOU DARE HURT OUR MATE!”

I froze as my grip loosened involuntarily, staring at him in disbelief.

For one terrifying moment, everything inside me went still.

My wolf had spoken.

That alone was enough to shake me to my core because since Elian died, my wolf had become nothing more than a hollow shadow inside me.

My breathing turned uneven as I stared at the Omega hanging in my grip.

That made no sense.

Alphas do not mate with Omegas.

Ancient pack law had made that clear long before I was born.

Alpha bloodlines were sacred and so their mates were meant to be chosen from equally dominant blood, not from those born to submit.

So what the hell was happening to me?

Why was my wolf losing its mind?

The closer I held him, the more my control slipped through my fingers.

His scent invaded every corner of my senses, wild enough to make my blood run hot and heavy, dark enough to wake parts of me I thought died with Elian.

All I wanted was to bend this mannerless idiot over, fuck every ounce of defiance out of him, and keep going until that sharp mouth was begging me for mercy.

A brutal craving to claim, to keep, to never let another soul touch what my wolf was already calling mine.

His lips curved into a slow smirk, my hand still resting against his throat.

Then he leaned close enough that only I could hear him.

“You look terrified, Alpha,” he whispered.

I released him at once as though he had burned me.

He landed lightly on his feet, rubbing his throat while that same infuriating amusement danced in his eyes.

Beside me, Gregory drew his sword in one swift motion and charged forward.

“I’ll kill this insolent bastard—”

“DO NOT TOUCH HIM!”

My roar tore through the courtyard with such force that Gregory stopped instantly.

Every face turned toward me in stunned disbelief.

It made no sense for me to protect a slave, especially one who had publicly insulted me, humiliated me, and pushed me closer to losing control than anyone ever had.

Even the Omega looked surprised, though the expression vanished so quickly I almost thought I imagined it.

I turned sharply to the slave trader.

“I’ll buy him.”

The trader blinked.

“Y-Yes, my lord. Of course.”

“How much?”

The man hesitated, then swallowed hard.

“He is worth millions, Alpha.”

My eyes narrowed dangerously.

“Are you insane? You expect me to pay the value of over five hundred slaves for one mouthy bastard?”

The trader quickly bowed lower.

“This one is different, my lord.”

My gaze hardened.

“How?”

The trader looked around nervously before lowering his voice.

“He carries a rare gift, Alpha. One almost unheard of in our kind.”

I folded my arms across my chest.

“What gift?”

The trader lifted his trembling eyes and said quietly:

“He can bear children.”

  • Bearing the Alpha’s Heir   Chapter 12

Frederick’s povThen after a few minutes Talon kissed me again and honestly I didn’t know how to feel, the kiss lasted barely a few seconds and just then I had flashbacks of Elian. Elian never kissed me like this. He never liked kissing he hated kissing. He’d pull away every time. “It’s unnecessary,” he’d say. “Foreplay is for people who need to pretend.”The memory hit so suddenly it felt like someone had shoved a blade through my chest. Three years now and no one has kissed or touched me like Talon does.Elian would always laugh softly and push my face away telling me how clingy I was.But Talon kisses like he’s starving, like he’s hungry, like he wants to crawl inside my chest and make a home there.I shoved Talon away from me hard enough that he nearly lost balance against the bed.The kiss broke instantly. Talon stared at me breathing unevenly then irritation crossed his face immediately.“What the hell was that,” he demanded.“You kissed me,” I said harshly.“Yes,” he snapped

Frederick’s POVTalon looked up at me from beneath me and suddenly laughed. The sound hit my nerves immediately.“You look insane right now,” he said between amused breaths. My grip on his wrists tightened and the entire training ground had gone silent. My wolf was unstable and Talon noticed it. His eyes dragged slowly across my face before the corner of his mouth lifted again.“Oh,” he said softly. “You really are struggling.”“Be quiet,” I warned him harshly.“Why?” he asked lazily. “Afraid they’ll notice?”My jaw tightened. The warriors nearby immediately lowered their heads further. Talon tilted his head slightly against the training mat beneath him.“Tell me something, Alpha,” he murmured. “Do you want to fuck me right now or do you want me to bend you over instead?”Several warriors choked violently behind us, one dropped his sword completely. The entire training ground froze harder than before I stared down at him in disbelief.Talon looked entirely too pleased with himself.“Yo

  • Bearing the Alpha’s Heir   Chapter 10

Frederick’s povI sat in my office quietly breathing like I’ve run for miles and yet I still can’t get him off my head. The omegas had already been carried out by the guards. One could barely walk, another had fainted before reaching the door. The third avoided looking at me entirely while Gregory escorted them out of my room. And somehow that irritated me even more than the chaos had.I sat alone in the chair with my elbows resting against my knees, staring at the floor while my wolf paced violently beneath my skin.“Go after him, You upset him”.That irritated me immediately.Since when did my wolf care about upsetting anyone, especially an omega? I leaned back slowly and closed my eyes for a moment. This entire situation had become ridiculous.Part of me wanted to ignore Talon completely. To let him stay angry until he understood his place. The other part of me wanted to drag him back into my chambers just to stop whatever this tension was between us but neither option sat well with my

Frederick’s POV“The eastern grain taxes have not been balanced in three months,” Elder Marcus said as he unrolled another scroll across the table. “If this continues into winter, the southern territories will begin withholding supplies again.”I stared at the documents in front of me without actually seeing them.Across the room, Elder Rowan kept speaking about border patrol allocations.Something about missing funds and something about warrior rotations.I heard every word but none of it stayed in my head because my mind kept drifting somewhere else entirely.“Watch me”.The omega’s voice replayed itself inside my head so clearly that it irritated me all over again.I shifted slightly in my chair. My Beta Gregory noticed immediately because he had been watching me the entire meeting.“The Blackridge pack merchants are also requesting permission to lower transportation taxes,” another elder added carefully.I nodded once without processing any of it, then Talon’s face appeared in my

Frederick’s povHis hands fisted in my shirt and pulled me down harder. When I pulled back, his eyes were open. His pupils were blown wide. "Again," he said. And I kissed him again. My wolf wanted him.It was the first thing I registered when I kissed him. Not the way his hands fisted in my shirt. My wolf surged under my skin, claws out, snarling to get closer.I broke the kiss and sucked in air as Talon was watching me.“There it is again,” he murmured. “That look.”I stared at him.“What look?”“The one where you forget you hate me.”My jaw tightened.I pushed myself off the bed and stepped away from him.My wolf roared. It wanted his scent and I was hard. The realization made fury climb up my spine. I was hard for an omega who had defied me twice today. Hard for a man who walked into my territory in chains and rewired me in one night, mocked me in my own chambers. And somehow my body still reacted to him like this, It made no sense. No omega should affect an Alpha this strongly es

Alpha Fredericks pov An ordinary omega killed Korrin."Take me to him," I said. My hands were already reaching for my leathers. "Where is he?"The servant dropped his eyes to the floor. "Alpha, about the omega...""Do not make me repeat myself." I pulled my shirt over my head and did not care that it stuck to the dried sweat on my back. "Where is he?""He is at the border, Alpha," the servant said. "But he is injured."I suddenly stopped in my tracks. "What kind of injuries?," I asked. My voice too low."Terribly," the servant said. "From the fight. The warriors said he is barely breathing. They found him collapsed near the northern border. He lost a lot of blood."“Barely breathing”?The room tilted. I gripped the edge of the table to keep my legs under me.Last night he had me on my knees. Last night he laughed while I choked on his cock. Last night he made me forget three years of grief and now he was dying at my border. Then I immediately moved as fast as my legs could carry me.
