LOGINRavenna's POV
My stomach dropped. Something in his voice and in the way he thrusted into me earlier had told me something was wrong. And now he needed my help. “You did what?” I whispered, my voice trembling as I searched his face for answers.
He held my hand, his gaze locked unto mine. “My love, I didn't mean to do that. It's a long story.”
I could see the weight of remorse bearing down on him.
The world stilled. This was really deep trouble like he had said.
This was disastrous. The Moon Crescent Pack and Bloodmoon pack had been at war with eachother for a very long time. But yesterday the Moon Crescent had come to the Bloodmoon pack and extended a peaceful alliance. But now that Ronan had killed one of their warriors, it would only fuelled the battle.
The air disappeared from my lungs. "Ronan—"
"It was bad," he said quickly, his voice low with fear and regret. "I lost control. He's unrecognisable. There's going to be a fallout, Ravenna. Big fallout. If they found out I killed him—my father would disown me. Our Pack would suffer attacks."
"And you want me to take the blame?" I asked, already knowing what he was driving at.
"You're an omega," he said, his voice almost pleading. "No one expects anything from you. You will exile for a few weeks. Father had already planned to pass the throne to me. Once he did, I'll come for you. I promise. I'll make our relationship official. I'll claim you as my mate in front of everyone."
I couldn't breathe. I couldn't say a word. My thighs was still wet from what we just had. And now this?
"You love me, right?" He asked, taking my hands in his. "Because I love you, Ravenna. And I need you now more than ever."
I looked at him—this was my mate, my king and the only man who was meant for me. Just a few weeks and everything would be over. I trusted Ronan more than I trusted myself. He would definitely keep his promises. He would definitely come for me.
Alpha. If he becomes the Alpha, then I'm made for life. I will be able to change my fate from being a worthless, wolfless Omega and slave—to being the Luna. Then no one would ever treat me like trash. I'll be honoured, respected and powerful. This is a chance for me to help myself, while helping my mate.
Then I nodded slowly despite the fear coursing through me. "Yes."
"Oh," he sighed, pulling me into a tight embrace, my breasts pressing against his chiesled chest. "Thank you, Ravenna," he muttered, his breath hot against ears. "Thank you so much."
He pulled out of the embrace and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. When he withdrew from the kiss I had expected him to dress up and sneak out as always, but instead he positioned me on the bed and slipped between my legs.
"Again," I whispered, my voice raw. "My body still hurts....."
"I know my little wolf," he replied, positioning his dick at my entrance. "But I'll miss you. I need to feel you again.... one last time."
With that, he thrust into me, harder and claiming me once more as if this was our goodbye.
_______
Next Morning.
"You," Alpha Lucian's voice—thick with disbelief echoed through the grand wall which was filled with pack members. "How did you a weak Omega managed to kill such a powerful warrior of the Moon Crescent Pack?"
I stood before him, trembling as his fury filled eyes locked with mine. I was surrounded by the guards, I was already tagged a criminal.
"He wasn't watching. So I attacked him from behind."
A gasp echoed in the room from the pack members, the warriors and the delegates of the Moon Crescent pack.
Alpha didn't believe me still as he bared his teeth. "Even at that, how can a mere Omega slaughter a trained warrior like that. He was barely recogniseable."
Desperation clawed at me as I tried to convince him. "I... I was fast," I replied, lowering my head as if he would somehow deduce the truth from my features.
Ronan stood behind the crowd. He was dressed in a breathtaking regal outfit. He looked calm. Almost... cold like I truly killed the warrior. Like I wasn't taking the fall for him. But I made a mental note that he must have been like that to make everything more convincing.
Then, like a nightmare, Thalia—the leader of the delegate and the Crescent Moon Alpha’s daughter, strode in, looking very beautiful and a bit of a powerful princess that she was. She strode towards Ronan and kissed him full on the mouth.
It was like the world stilled. I froze.
No. This can't be happening. I must have been seeing things. I closed my eyes and when I opened it, she had withdrawn from the kiss but Ronan's hand was still on her waist.
The people didn't look surprised. In fact they weren't even paying any attention to them. All eyes were fixed on the weak Omega who had managed to kill a trained warrior.
Pain stabbed through me, deeper than any blade. But I didn’t react. I couldn’t.
Then Alpha stepped back. "You'll be imprisoned until further notice. The Crescent Moon demands justice."
Chains were clasped around my wrists as they dragged me away. But my eyes strained back at Ronan who was smiling with Thalia like nothing happened.
_______
The prison door creaked open, echoing through the dark, quiet night. I looked up from where I sat, the blood that slurred from the silver cuffs around my wrist already dried up.
"Ronan?"
There he was. He stepped inside, his presence towering over me. For a moment, hope ignited inside me. Maybe he has come to fix this —that the kiss with Thalia earlier was part of the plan.
I forced a smile. "You could've warmed me about the kiss with Thalia..... " I swallowed, the lump in my throat. "You really made me scared."
He stepped closer and his torch light caught his face. It was everything I have never seen before. Cold. Emotionless.
"It wasn't a plan," he said at last, his words slow and heavy. "The kiss..... It was real. Thalia is my mate now."
My heart pierced at his words.
"No." I shook my head frantically, trying so hard to deny it even though I had heard him clearly. "You told me you loved me. You told me you were going to come for me."
"I thought I loved you....but I realised Thalia was actually the woman meant for me," he replied, avoiding my eyes.
My stomach twisted in painful knots. "Ronan, please don't do this. You promised me a future...."
A cold, sharp voice cut through the air. "Quit dreaming, Omega."
Luna Selena entered, every features in her face etched with disdain. "You?" She sneered. "A Luna? You're a filthy. Just some available hole for my son to bury his urges in. Nothing more."
I turned to Ronan, my heart shattering into pieces. "Tell her, Ronan. Tell her she's wrong."
Silence.
He didn't say anything. He didn't even look at me.
"Ronan....." The silence lingered, killing me by each passing second.
Then finally. "She's not wrong. You're just a convenient hole for my release."
My world tilted, and the tears that have been piling up all day finally streamed down my face.
Before I could say more, he continued. "I, Ronan of the Bloodmoon Pack, reject you, Ravenna as my mate."
Pain ripped my soul apart as the mate bond shattered like glass. A scream tore through my throat as it felt like untamed fire was ripping from the spot he had marked me. I couldn't sit still and had to collapsed to the cold floor.
"I accept," I gasped through the agony. "I accept your rejection."
Selena stepped forward, calm and composed just as always. She pulled out a dagger from her robes.
"Do it," she said, offering it to Ronan. "Seal your place as Alpha. End her life. You don't want her telling everyone that you killed the Moon Crescent warrior, right?"
Ronan looked at the dagger. He shook his head stepping back. "Mother....."
She hissed. "Will you stop being a coward. Do it. Or lose everything."
He looked at me and passed the dagger back to her. "I can't."
Selena didn't hesitate. She crouched lower, drove the blade down my face. My screams echoed through the night at the pain rippling me apart. But she wasn't done yet. Finally, she drove the blade into my chest.
I felt it all—the pain that burned through my chest, my heart stilling. Blood slide down my face and also poured from my chest.
My eyes locked with the same man who had promised me everything just yesternight.
He didn't flinch.
He didn't cry.
He just turned and walked away.
And the last thing I saw before I closed my eyes was Luna Selena's triumphant smile —like she had just gotten rid of her biggest worry.
Oh..... Is this how am going to die? Is this how I'm going to lose my life after everything I had done for him. Gave up my dignity, my body, my freedom just for him.
I echoed through my almost lifeless mind. 'Moon Goddess..... please. Save me...... just this once.'
Then darkness swallowed me.
Ravenna’s POVThe silver fork slipped completely from my fingers, clattering sharply against the pristine porcelain plate. I sat frozen in my chair, staring at Ronan as if he had just started speaking an entirely different language. I almost couldn't believe my ears. It was as if the sheer exhaustion of the last twenty-four hours was causing me to hallucinate. My heart began to hammer violently against my ribs, a sudden, cold sweat breaking out across the palms of my hands.*Marriage?*The word felt like a heavy stone dropped directly into the center of the table, shattering the fragile peace we had just built."Are you serious right now, Ronan?" I asked, my voice trembling just enough to convey genuine shock as I struggled to regain my composure. I leaned back against the plush leather seat, crossing my arms over my chest to hide the slight shaking of my fingers. "I literally just told you less than an hour ago that I was still desperately processing the chaos from your sudden
Ravenna’s POV Ronan kept his eyes fixed on my face like he was looking right through me."I really should have asked for your consent first, Vexley," he said, his voice dropping into a quiet, sincere voice. "I let my own desperation to secure your place beside me cloud my judgment. I didn't mean to make you feel like a prisoner in my world."I looked down at the beautiful bouquet, forcing a soft expression onto my face. I needed to smooth things over quickly so he wouldn't start questioning my sudden disappearance again. "It’s completely fine, Ronan. I shouldn't have overreacted the way I did either. Pushing you like that... running away in the middle of the night... it was immature of me. The pressure just got to my head.""You don't need to apologize for being overwhelmed," Ronan said, a relieved smile finally breaking across his handsome face. He reached out, gently squeezing my shoulder. "But since you didn't get to enjoy a single moment of the annual banquet last night, I wan
Ravenna’s POV The afternoon sun was beginning to dip when my eyes finally blinked open. The small hotel room was quiet, filled with warmth. I shifted against the sheets, realizing the spot beside me was empty.I looked up and saw Damon standing by the glass window. He was shirtless, his back turned to me as he stared down at the busy city streets below. His shoulders were tense, his posture carrying a look that told me his mind was miles away.I quietly slipped out of bed, grabbing the discarded bedsheet to wrap around myself. I stepped up behind him and wrapped my arms firmly around his waist, pressing my cheek against his bare back.Damon let out a soft breath, his body instantly relaxing at my touch. He turned around in my arms, looking down at me with an expression full of quiet tenderness. He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss against my lips. When he pulled back, I noticed the heavy shadow clouding his eyes. He looked completely moody, his brow furrowing slightly as he looked a
Ravenna’s POV "Yes, Damon! I live for the mission. But no, it is not over between us!" I shouted back, the raw truth ripping out of my throat before I could stop it. I took a step closer to him, my fists clenching at my sides as all the pain I had spent five years burying rushed to the surface. "The monsters who burned my home and slaughtered my people need to pay for what they did. That is the only way I will ever get my peace, and that is when I will finally be able to actually start living my life!"I looked at his pristine suit, a bitter laugh escaping my lips. "But I didn't expect you to understand any of this anyway. Life has never treated you to even a quarter of the hell it dragged me through. You grew up safe. You grew up as a prince."The words hit him visibly. The anger in Damon’s eyes instantly vanished, replaced by a sudden, heavy wave of guilt that made his shoulders drop. He looked at me, his gaze softening as he realized how deeply he had just poked at my oldest w
Ravenna’s POV I turned the handle and stepped out of the hotel room, my gaze fixed on the floor as I pulled the scarf tighter around my neck. But the moment the door clicked behind me, I froze.Damon was leaning against the wall of the corridor, his hands shoved deep into his trousers pockets. An overwhelming wave of relief washed over me, and a genuine smile broke across my face. I took a step toward him, my heart doing a light flip. "Damon. You're here. I knew you wouldn’t just ignore me like that."Damon didn't smile back. He didn't even acknowledge my greeting. He simply shifted his eyes toward me, his expression completely blank, before pushing off the wall. Without a word, he brushed past my shoulder and walked straight into the hotel room I had just vacated.I blinked in surprise, turning around to follow him inside and closing the door behind us.Damon didn't offer to sit together. He walked over to the small armchair in the corner, sat down, and checked his wristwatch. Wh
Ravenna’s POVThe bright morning sun streamed through the thin curtains of my dormitory room, but I could barely open my eyelids. When I looked into the small bathroom mirror, my reflection was a total mess. My eyes were swollen and red because I had spent the entire night tossing and turning, unable to get a single wink of sleep. My mind was completely trapped in a loop, replaying every single memory Damon and I had shared over the last two years—the quiet training sessions, the late-night strategy talks, and the way he used to look at me like I was the only person in the world.Seeing him on that balcony with Princess Elena had cracked something inside me. I couldn't let him leave the central territory like this. I needed answers.I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and dialed his number. It rang until the voicemail picked up. I hung up and tried again. And again. He didn't pick up a single one of my calls.Frustrated, I opened our chat window and typed out a quick message: *
Ronan’s POVI didn't knock. I didn't think I had to. I was the Alpha heir, the future of the Bloodmoon Pack, and I was currently burning with a frustration that felt like acid in my veins. My test results were clutched in my hand, the paper crumpled from the force of my grip. I needed answers, and

Ravenna's POV "You look.... wow." Astrid's voice was breathy, her mouth wide open in admiration as she stared at me. "Vexley, you're stunning. Honestly, you're even more beautiful than Thalia."I blinked. "Thalia?""Yes," she replied, nodding. "She's Ronan mate and everyone thought she was the pre
