Diane spunned around, cleaning off her tears with her cloth fabric, to see Nathan surprisingly.

Nathan was Michael's best friend whom she had only seen on countable occasions which were the few times in college, on their wedding day and the first time she had started working in Michael's company.

"It's you, Diane." He said as he stepped closer to her, smiling.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Oh.. I was in the city. I was going to attend the Belmont's charity event tomorrow night. And somehow I found myself here and saw you. Said I would confirm if it was really you. Yunno,"

Diane nodded, "That's nice."

Nathan's eyes studied her stuff and his cocked an eyebrow up, "Everything good with you?"

"Yeah," She lied, clearing her throat. "I uh- I'll just get going now. It was nice to see you again."

Without looking back, she grabbed a bit of her stuff and flagged down a cab, running away from the embarrassment she felt.

She was now in her hotel room, the first night away from Michael and being on her own. The hotel room was nothing like the ones she used to stay in before Michael had cut her off financially. This was one of the mid ones with nothing special, only a ceiling fan, a desk and chair at a corner and a bed. She had always wondered how people stayed in this sort of place. And right now, she was experiencing it first hand, staring at the ceiling in lost thoughts.

Immediately, the inside of her cheeks got salty and she bolted to the bathroom, knowing what was coming next for her. She bent over the toilet and in the next second, her brunch was coming up her throat, out her mouth and into the toilet.

She felt weak and lots of thoughts started to cross her mind. She wondered if she was sick? Maybe she had gotten the flu from someone at work unknowingly or better still maybe she had eaten something bad.

But there was also a fourth thought that crossed her mind. One she didn't want to think of or put among the top list.

There was no way she could be. She thought to herself again, as she cleaned herself up and flushed the toilet. She was certain. Very certain. Michael hadn't touched her since a month after they had gotten married. He hadn't.

Well... except for the one night, exactly three weeks ago when he had come home drunk, made love to her consensually after telling her how much he loved her and had asked her why she wasn't the perfect wife. He had released inside her and had gotten off before the pleasure even pent up for her, and he had left her naked and hurt on their matrimonial bed.

She dragged herself to her stuff which were still sitting at the edge of the room and findled amongst it for a pregnancy kit which she always kept.

She took the test and started to wait impatiently, boring her eyes at the strip and tapping her nails impatiently on the sink.

Time seemed to travel slowly and she took deep breaths, clasping her hands together and letting the anxiety almost swallow her whole.

As soon as the time was up, she took a deep breath and prepared herself mentally before picking up the kit.

She didn't know what to think or how to feel about whatever results she was going to get, but one thing she was sure of, was that she wasn't prepared, come what may.

The vibrant double red lines stared back at her and she held her breath as her heart skipped a beat.

She was pregnant.

It was the next morning, the sun woke her up through the hotel's blinds and she sat up, feeling like a train had just ran over her. She had decided to tell Michael that she was pregnant. He deserved to know. He was the father.

She dressed up, took a cab and made her way to the Belmont headquarters and to Michael's office.

As she stood at the hallways outside his office, preparing herself to face him, her hands fidgeting on the door knob and her heart pounding in her chest, she could hear a little noise coming from inside the room. It sounded like grunts and quiet moans.

Without thinking, she abruptly twisted the door knob and opened the door, then walked inside Michael's office room.

The sight she saw before her was Michael having his head thrown backwards, with his eyes shut and his right hand down his thighs.

Immediately he heard her come in, he opened his eyes. And as soon as his gaze fell upon her face, his expression switched from pleasure to irritation.

From inbetween his legs, Tiffany straightened up, wiping her mouth clean, smudging her lipstick and pulling her shirt over her shoulders.

"What's up, Mikey?" Tiffany asked, then turned around to see Diane standing in the office room, tears in her eyes. "Oh great, way to ruin a fun time." Tiffany commented with an eye roll.

Diane's gaze switched from Tiffany who had her chest still exposed, giving a clear view of her large breasts to Michael who sat indifferently, his expression growing to become angry.

"What are you doing here?" Michael thundered.

"Did you frame me up and act all those drama for this?" Diane asked.

"Don't be ridiculous, Diane. I made myself clear that I did not want to see you again." Michael replied coldly.

"How could you Michael? How could you?!"

"Oh of course the drama queen came with a bit more drama today," Tiffany replied slyly, pulling down her underwear and dropping it slowly and seductively on Michael's office table.

Michael walked to where she was, his shirt still a bit roughed up from the moment him and Tiffany had shared. She could almost not bear to look at him.

"I'm pregnant, Michael." She told him.

Michael turned on his heel for the umpteenth time as he slowly paced around his office, counting his steps one at a time. His usually tidy desk was a mess of files, papers, and cups of coffee he had stayed up with the night before. His usually styled hair was ruffled up from constantly running his fingers through it. He chewed at his inner cheek, as if trying to push his frustration into it. 'I love you, Michael', 'Don't you trust me?', 'I'm pregnant, Michael'. Memories of Diane pleading and crying rushed into his head once more, and he could almost hear her voices as she stressed that she was being framed. He pictured the hurt in her eyes when he had accused her and when he had fired her. "Fuck," He cursed, burying his face in his hands. He didn't know what to believe any longer. Or rather, he knew what to believe, but he was choosing not to do so yet. He had sent Bernard to compare the two images, the ones Diane had been in and the one that had been addressed to Tiffany.

  • Billionaire King's Heiress    23- Paparrazi

Diane posed with a hand on Nathan's chin as the paparazzi she hired took pictures of the two of them in the restaurant. Nathan brought her face closer, cupping it in his hands and rested his forehead on hers. "I hope we look good from this angle." She giggled, staring into his eyes. He smiled back at her, "I mean, you aren't paying them good money to make us look bad." His hand moved down to her neck, and he formed a necklace with it, his fingers wrapping around the side. He pulled her face closer and then planted a kiss on her lips. Diane's eyes widened in surprise, and she blinked twice at him while he smiled. "I've been meaning to do that ever since I saw you again. I'm sorry." She shook her head, laughing. "No, it would make this even more entertaining." She took his mouth in hers and shut her eyes, deepening the kiss. Her hand went to his hair and her fingers combed through it. She nibbled at his lower lips, allowing herself to feel every warmth the kiss came with an

"I'm sorry about Crown and Bell's, Ma'am. The information must have leaked after the last meeting with the director. Diane looked down from her new office window on the top floor of the building, watching cars halt in traffic on the road below. "That's not your fault." She replied, turning around and coming back to occupy her seat. "Belmont won't see what's coming to hit them.""What do I need to do next?" Ryan asked. Diane slid out a piece of paper and handed it over to Ryan. "Here. Release this anonymously to the press. That's the first step. And if Belmont thinks I'm going to go easy on him, he's being delusional."She rested into her seat and smiled. "After this is released, we'll go to the next step," Diane replied. "The Luxe Division is so easy to sabotage, and since I used to be the head there, I know this plan is definitely going to work perfectly."But that wasn't all the truth. Luxe Division had also been their thing. The thing they had both shared ideas for and he had cr

Diane's threat to spend the night on Nathan's bed tugged at his annoyance more than it should have. There was no way she had slept with the man he used to refer to as his best friend. He and Nathan did not have a big fight or anything of that sort. They just slowly drifted apart in the last two years. He forced the thought away. What did it matter to him? She was free to sleep with whoever she wanted. Nathan included."Shall we head over to your private residence first or stop at the family quarters?" Bernard asked as he halted at the road that led to the family quarters.Michael's attention snapped to Bernard, and he adjusted in his seat, looking at the road in front of him.Caesar had asked him over for dinner after not having seen him for close to a month, even though they all lived in the same estate. He disliked going to the family quarters, mostly because he couldn't stand his own father. Ethan was bearable, he came in handy when needed. And one more person who annoyed him also

"I've had it with you today, Mr Belmont." She hissed at him. "And I asked you a question." He said back, corking his head to the side. Diane ignored the way he effortlessly gave flawless even though she knew he was an arrogant man who thought the world revolved around him. She turned around, her eyes fell on her chest, and indeed her nipples were poking through her now pink colored top. With a gasp, she immediately placed a hand over them, wondering how her nipple covers had fallen into her dress and only then did she feel the patches fighting her waistline to drop off. She figured Michael was actually stating facts, and her chest was now see-through. She had trusted those damn nipple covers. And they let her down, just like the man standing behind her. "Now you see I was not poking fun at you," Michael said, and Diane looked at him through the mirror, glaring at him while he seemed rather relaxed, following her every move like a hawk. She slid an arm over her chest, hiding

"What's the problem, Diane dear?" Mr Martins asked. "Is everything okay over there?" She glared at Michael, who hid a smirk and sipped from his glass cup. "Yes, Diane. What is the problem?" He asked, feigning confusion. "Have I offended you in any way? I assumed we were only getting to know ourselves."Diane wanted to punch the stars out his eyes. She wanted to punch that silly smirk off his mouth, which he was hiding. His sharp handsomely distracting features made her annoyed all the more, and left for her, she would have been out of this dinner the moment he walked in. "I - I was just telling him to stop talking so much. Haha." She said with forced laughter, trying to play it off. "It's no big deal.""Oh dear, you had us scared for a while there," One of the women laughed, and others agreed. Mr Martins laughed now, "Oh, I had no idea Mr Belmont was such a talker.""Me neither," Diane answered, bringing her glass cup to her mouth and taking a sip out of it. The embarrassment sta
