LOGINNora Pov
.
I was sitting in the corner of my room. One of my legs was tied with a silver chain attached to the bed leg. From the nearby glass window, I could see the moon glowing.
My tears dried after a painful month in a cage.
Georgia wasn't lying when she told everyone she would convince Sebastian to make me his mistress.
His alpha ceremony was after one month, and before that, he couldn't force himself on me, but it didn't mean he left me. He was making sure to make me pay for slapping him in front of everyone.
A month before, he gave power to Georgia to do whatever she wanted to do to me; she could, and she used the power to the fullest.
She never left a single second to torture me.
Every day they give me wolfsbane and the potion... Hope of ever receiving my wolf had died long ago.
After giving me wolfsbane, they forced me to work for them, making me do chores until my body gave up and I went unconscious.
They wait until I get conscious and beat me until I lose all strength to fight and get back to work even when my body refuses. I had to work to save myself from more beating.
There were days when I lost all hope and thought of ending my life, but then I didn't.
I won't die... Not until I take revenge for my parents' death.
They made my life a living hell.
I was tied to the corner with a silver chain after getting humiliated by Georgia in front of everyone.
She called me trash and slapped me because her precious Alpha glanced at me while I was cleaning the floor outside his room. In her twisted mind, that meant I was trying to seduce him. Only if she knew how badly I wanted to kill him.
But honestly, this wasn’t new. Georgia and her loyal minion, Sia, never needed real reasons to hurt me. My body had become their favorite place to dump their anger.
My body arched as I moved and sat with the support of the wall, thinking about everything. My eyes fell on the lantern, the only light keeping the darkness away. But judging by the weak flame flickering inside, I knew it wouldn’t survive the night.
I sighed and looked back at the blooming full moon.
"Are you even their Moon Goddess? Till when do I have to bear this?" I asked as it was getting unbearable with time.
I shook my head, refusing to give up. I needed to get out and then return with a plan to kill Sebastian, but with this chain, I don't know how.
"Moon Goddess, do something before your child gives up," I whispered. My body tensed the moment I heard the knock on the door. They were here to force wolfsbane and that burning potion down my throat again.
"I think you should kill yourself." I raised my head and looked to the side to see who was giving me such cruel advice, only to find Mary standing at the door with a plate of food. She was the same maid who had served poisoned food to my parents and shoved me into this room. After that day, I never saw her again.
"If I were you, I would have killed myself," she muttered and walked inside. Hearing no response, she sighed and placed the tray of food beside me. I looked at the food, then at her.
There was no way I was going to eat it. Who knows she had mixed something in it again.
"Sebastian plans to come here tonight, after everyone falls asleep, so he can make you his without anyone finding out what he did to you." My eyes shot up, and my body shivered at the thought of that jerk touching me. She smirked after finally getting a reaction from me.
"Imagine what he will do to you in this dark room where no one can hear your screams or pleas." Goosebumps rose at the back of my neck, understanding the meaning behind every word. She bent down and unlocked the silver shackles around my ankles, finally freeing my feet.
"Jump from this window if you want to save yourself." She pointed toward the glass window in the corner of my bedroom, showing me a way to escape Sebastian—or a way to kill myself. This room was on the fourth floor. If I jumped from here, my chances of survival were minimal.
"Why are you helping me?" I asked, because I now understood that everyone here hated my parents and me. The reason was still a mystery to me.
"Because I want you to die," she answered in a stern tone, without any hesitation. It would be a lie if I said animosity in her eyes surprised me. I was used to it. Pack members hate me.
"This much hatred for me?” I was shocked after seeing how much bitterness these people held inside them.
"Your father killed my daughter. I wanted to do the same, but I'm a weak omega. I couldn't go against an alpha. When Sebastian said he would kill your father, I was ecstatic, thinking he would kill you as well. But that stupid maid dropped juice on your dress, and you were saved. Then out of nowhere, Alpha Sebastian announced to you as our Luna." She grimaced and shook her head in disappointment. “And I will not let it happen,”
I took a step back, realizing her intentions were not good for me.
"Either you jump out of this window, or I will push you," she said in a threatening tone before lunging at me.
Thanks to the Moon Goddess, I moved in time and dodged her attack, but she wasn't someone who gave up easily.
"Stop fighting," she growled and picked up the lantern kept on the side and struck my head with it.
"Ah," I whimpered and touched my head, feeling something wet on my fingers.
My eyes shot open in horror as I pulled my hand away and saw it covered in blood.
"You have to pay for your father's deeds," she hissed and slapped me. Unable to balance myself, I fell to the ground. My head was spinning and throbbing with pain. She took out wolfsbane from her pocket.
“This will keep you in place.” She smirked and injected me with wolfsbane before I could understand anything that was happening or protested.
"You know what I'm going to do now?" she asked, sitting beside me and caressing my hair, while I prayed to the moon goddess not to let me die before I avenged my parents' killer.
"I want to torture you more, but I don't have time. Our Alpha can enter this room anytime, and I can't take that risk," she said.
She stood up, grabbed my hand, and dragged me across the floor toward the window.
"Let's end your misery," she grunted, forcing me to stand. I tried to push her away, but every attempt was in vain because of my head injury and the wolfsbane in my system.
She smirked at my fragile attempts and pushed me towards the window. The glass cracked under the sudden impact of my weight.
Broken shards of glass pierced my body, and I screamed in pain. I held the frame of the window to balance myself despite the broken pieces of glass cutting my palm.
"Arghh... You're so stubborn," she hissed and kicked me, making me lose my grip and fall backwards.
The next thing I knew, my body was in the air. I closed my eyes, waiting for my body to hit the ground and feel the pain of broken bones, but surprisingly, it never happened. Instead, I felt someone's arms around me.
"Wow... I always hear apples fall from trees, but no—apparently, even girls fall from them." I opened my dizzy eyes to look at the person, realizing someone had saved me.
His face was hidden behind a mask. Only his mesmerizing blue-hazel eyes were visible.
“Is this the time to joke?” My savior asked his friend.
"Who are y—You?" I asked, wincing from the intense pain in my head.
"Your Knight in Shining Armour." My savior shot his friend a dead glare for uttering rubbish.
Those were the last words I heard before everything faded as I was slowly losing consciousness.
I raised my hand to remove his mask, but my body failed me, and darkness wrapped around me—just like my savior's arms had moments before.
Nash's Pov.I shook my head, refusing to believe my ears."What did you say?" I asked."If that woman is taking wolfsbane and henbane for a month, then it's difficult to save her," the old woman said, then shrugged. "Who knows if she has died by the time you have come here?"Colt lost his temper at her response and took control of our body. He growled loudly. He was breathing heavily, realizing our aura... I could feel the ground shaking beneath my feet. The old woman and Daniel shivered and bowed their heads in front of Colt. I sighed and took control back from Colt."Your name?" I asked the old woman in a calm tone."Gabriela""Gabriela, I didn't come here after running for so long to hear such a shitty response. I want to save her and her wolf. Give me an elixir," I said in a stern tone, looking deadly in her eyes to let her know I'm not here to joke around. She smiled in response. It wasn't some pleasant smile. It was a triumphant smile as if she had gotten exactly the informat
Nash Pov's.I was surprised to see a well-built house instead of an old hut like most of the witches live in."Nash," I stopped and turned to look at Daniel, who had just arrived. He morphed back into a human and went behind a tree to put on his clothes, which he had removed before morphing, and carried them by holding them between his teeth.I waited for him to come, knowing he wanted to talk about something serious; otherwise, he wouldn't have stopped me.Daniel walked out and stood in front of me, keeping his hands on his waist."Are you sure about it?" he asked."If I weren't, then why would I have come here?" I scoffed and narrowed my eyes at him. "Don't tell me you stopped me because you wanted to ask this stupid question." "Nash, you have lost your mind over her.""What did you say?" I snarled, warning him to correct himself before speaking, but he didn't stop. He is like this only if he argues over something; then he never stops until he proves his point."First, you rescued
Nora's Pov.Nash held my chin and made me look at him."You will not lose Daisy," he said as if he already knew what I was thinking."She is dying," I whispered."Tell her to hold on... I will find the cure." He took my hand in his and tightened his grip."How?" I asked. He gulped and bowed his head."I don't know, but I will.""Nash," Daniel called him. Nash moved his eyes to him. "What are you thinking?"He ignored him and looked back at me."Don't lose hope, Little Dove," and asked Daisy to fight with everything; he touched his forehead to mine. Fight until I return," I scrunched my eyebrows."Where are you going?" He didn't reply and kissed my forehead, surprising me. This was the first time I saw his soft side, and it stirred something inside me... Something I don't want to feel.He stood up and then extended his hand towards me. I took it.He helped me to get up."Climb on my back. I will help you climb the tree.""I can do it myself." I nibbled my lower lip."I know you can, b
Nora's Pov ."Little Dove," Nash rushed to my side and gently took hold of my arm, turning me to face him."What happened? Are you okay?" he asked, looking at the blood on the ground. I looked at him then followed his gaze. Tears were falling from my eyes as the realisation slowly settled. Sebastian, Luna, Georgia, and her warriors knew this would happen. They give me wolfsbane and a potion to kill my wolf, and it's happening. My wolf was dying.Daisy is dying...I rubbed my chest, feeling suffocated."Little Dove," Nash called me anxiously, seeing me so pale and lost."She can't see me happy," I whispered."Who?" he frowned."Moon Goddess... First, she snatched my parents from me, and now she is taking my wolf." "What?" He took a step back, looking at me with widened eyes."Daisy is dying... It's happening." I whispered, my body trembling at the mere thought of her condition. My knees buckled, and I crumpled to the ground as my legs refused to hold me up. Daisy's painful groans
Nora's Pov .I opened my mouth before closing it again, unable to find words."Are you two done talking?" I flinched at Nash's harsh voice. "Let's resume walking."He didn't wait for us to respond and started walking. I looked at Daniel, who gestured for me to walk. I nodded and followed Nash.My gaze kept drifting to his hand; the bleeding had stopped, but the wound was fresh, and I'm sure it must be hurting.I increased my speed and walked beside Nash. He lowered his speed and turned his head slightly towards me. I averted my gaze quickly and bowed my head."Careful." Nash held my arm and pulled me closer. I kept my hand over his chest and looked at him, widening my eyes. Our eyes met. Those few seconds of eye contact made my heart flip inside my chest. He groaned and pushed me away."Use your eyes while walking," he hissed and pointed towards the large tree. If Nash hadn't stopped me, I would've collided with it and hurt myself."Sorry," I whispered."Spoiled brat," he hissed. I l
Nora's Pov .I looked at our hands and smiled as a hope rose in my heart. "Wow!" A voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I turned and saw Daniel walking in our direction holding six coconuts in his hands. I looked at him then in the direction he was looking."Ohh... sorry," I muttered and pulled my hand away from Nash."I was gone for a while, and it seems like the two of you have become quite the team," he grunted and looked at Nash, clearly not liking it."Stop uttering nonsense and open the coconuts. My throat is aching." Nash snarled and sat on the large stone on his side. I didn't raise my head to meet his eyes, but from my peripheral vision, I was observing his every action."I'm not your servant but your friend," Daniel hissed."I know... Now do it." I pressed my lips together at Nash's nonchalant reply. He indeed knows how to press someone's nerve."As**le," Daniel growled and opened one coconut using his sharp knife, then passed it to Nash, who extended it towards me. I looked
Nora Pov's.I was breathing heavily because of fear and our closeness. Nash's intense gaze was not helping at all. I gulped and tried to move back, but a big tree behind me blocked my path. I tried to move past him, but he braced his hands against the tree on either side of me, trapping me between
Nora Pov's .I cried and screamed in agony as my wolf growled inside me, making my head feel like it was about to explode."You need to calm yourself," I heard Nash's voice. He was talking to my wolf, who growled at him in response."I don't know the reason behind your anger, but give her a chance
Nora Pov."What?" I questioned, looking at him, widening my eyes."Don't look at me with so much love," he laughed and pulled me closer. I turned my head away in disgust, trying to yank my hand free and shove him away, but he was far stronger than I expected."Your parents were cruel." I glared at
Nora Pov . "Ohh My My... Look at our princess," my mom complimented me as I entered the hall where we were celebrating my upcoming 18th birthday. At midnight, I would get my wolf. The biggest day of every werewolf's life. "She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen," my dad said, extending
