LOGINFlora's POV
As time passed, I became the infamous outcast of the pack—the lowest among them all. People whispered about me whenever they saw me. The news of my supposed affair with a stranger had spread like wildfire, and I had become the pack’s scandal. I could live with their judgment, but my father’s cruelty, along with Zack’s, was unbearable.
My father, who once cherished me, now scolded me at every opportunity. His distant demeanor had turned into open hostility, as if he detested me.
Zack, on the other hand, acted as if I didn’t exist. The day he broke up with me, I moved out of our shared bedroom—not by choice but because he demanded it. Worse, it was Milani, not him, who informed me that the servants had already moved my belongings to another room.
When I arrived, I was horrified to find a small, shabby room, so filthy it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in months. When I asked the maids for help cleaning it, they ignored me. Were these not the same people I once thought of as family?
My father eventually ordered Milani to stop serving me and reassigned her to Alora.
Each passing day, my heart grew heavier, weighed down by the cruelty of those I loved. For the first time, I felt like I didn’t want to live anymore. That evening, I stood in the garden, staring blankly at the flowers. The fresh air brushed against my face, but it couldn’t soothe the ache in my chest.
“Oh, so you’re here?” I turned to see Alora approaching me, a mocking grin on her face. “The alpha’s daughter turned out to be quite a lowly woman.”
Her words made my jaw clench. I wanted to slap her. She had brought this misery into my life.
“Look at you,” she continued, her voice dripping with disdain. “You’re so pale and weak. Don’t you think you’ve stopped looking like the alpha’s daughter?”
Her words cut deep because they were true. The mental torment had drained me, leaving me a shadow of who I used to be.
The wind brushed against my face, and I shut my eyes, feeling the sting of tears rolling down my cheeks.
“Aww, Sister is crying? How sad!” Alora taunted.
I opened my eyes and glared at her. “I will never forgive you. You destroyed my life.” She hadn’t just tricked me into that private room, but video of me leaving went viral because of her, too.
Alora laughed, shaking her head. “It wasn’t me. It was your fate. Everything you had was always meant to be mine. You’re finally where you belong.”
Her words hit me like a slap.
I wanted to scream at her, but I knew better. The last time I confronted her about her schemes, she had burst into fake tears and ran to my father. I had been punished by being denied food for an entire day. I wouldn’t give her the satisfaction of provoking me again.
Clenching my fists, I walked past her, ignoring her cruel words. When I reached my shabby room, I collapsed onto the bed, sobbing uncontrollably. “I don’t want this life anymore,” I whispered through my tears. Dying felt easier than enduring this torment.
I rose from my bed and searched my room, desperate to find a way to end the pain. When I opened the nightstand drawer, I found a bottle of sleeping pills. I looked at them quizzically for a moment, trying to remember how they got there. I didn’t recall putting them there.
But I didn’t care. That wasn’t important right now. I grabbed them and poured as many as I could into my hand, then picked up a glass of water and stared at the pills, tears blurring my vision.
I needed to send a message to Zack first. I put down the glass, picked up my phone and typed the bitter words, “It’s over. I hope I don’t meet you in the next life.”
I dropped the phone onto the bed and swallowed the pills in one go. As they slid down my throat, I felt a choking sensation and a wave of dizziness.
Suddenly, a voice echoed in my mind—a voice I hadn’t heard in a long time. “Stop wasting your life on someone who doesn’t deserve you.”
I blinked, startled. It was my wolf. She had been silent for so long; I’d almost forgotten what it felt like to have her presence.
“Don’t die,” she urged. “We deserve better. We have the right to live.”
Her words resonated with me. Zack didn’t deserve my life. He had cheated on me. He didn’t care how I was living or bother to ask for an explanation. He hadn’t even apologized.
Why should I die for someone like him?
Fueled by a sudden determination, I rushed to the bathroom and forced myself to vomit. As I was retching, the door burst open. Zack stormed in, his expression frantic.
But when he saw I was vomiting, his worry turned to anger. “I can’t believe I thought you’d actually go through with it! Are you trying to fake a suicide to get my attention?” he snapped. “Bitches like you don’t have the guts for something like suicide.’” His eyes blazed with contempt.
His words made my blood boil. I really did want to die, but it was my wolf who saved me. And he, my ex-boyfriend, is standing in front of me, hoping I really would die. How ironic? How could I have fallen in love with such a heartless man?
I clenched my fists, but instead of crying, I smiled bitterly. “Yeah,” I said, my voice calm but cutting. “And leaving you was the best decision of my life.”
His face twisted with rage, and for a moment, it looked like he was going to charge at me.
Instinctively, I took a step back.
But then, he stopped himself, letting out a scoff. “What did you think? I wouldn’t touch a filthy woman like you.” He stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him with a loud bang.
I stared at the closed door, a fire burning inside me, a fire fueled by betrayal and humiliation.
I wasn’t going to let them win.
I wanted revenge.
Flora stared at Aaron. She was speechless. She didn't believe her one year of escape had ended. Was she going to live like a slave again? Was this her fate? She clenched her jaw and shook her head. She thought, 'I can't let you play with me, King Aaron. I will never be the same Flora who will love you unconditionally, and you will treat me like a slave. I will ruin you.'Her hands shook as so many thoughts came to her mind. She wanted to hurt the man laying on the bed. She wanted to take his life away so that she could be free. But her wolf growled inside her every time she thought about it.'Breaking the matebond is the only way I can escape. Didn't Oliver give me a few weeks to do it? I can use this time as the perfect opportunity,' she thought, a smirk enveloping her lips. She would not lose so easily. She was the new Flora who could make the king fall head over heels for her.Suddenly Aaron's voice broke the silence of the room, causing her to flinch."Stop overthinking and go to
Everything seemed to stop around them. Flora was shocked when Aaron's lips touched her. It was not just a kiss but a flashback of her past, the moments she had spent with him reflected in her mind. His lips moved, and it was not gentle. It was harsh; the kiss was rough and aggressive. She blinked when she realized what was happening. She tried to push him again, but he grabbed her hand and pinned it over her head with his one hand. His other hand reached for her jaw. He tilted her head and pushed his tongue inside her mouth. The wave of feelings was so deep that she felt twisted in her stomach. His tongue slammed against her tongue, trying to push it so that it could enter her mouth entirely. She tried to turn her head to break the kiss. He didn't let her do that as he was grabbing her jaw tightly. He was showing her how long he had waited for this. His rage was there along with the unknown feelings he felt for her.It was a kiss of possessiveness.Aron couldn't help but want to remin
Flora was sleeping on a soft mattress in a king-sized bed. The room was large. The long curtains were dark. But they were opened to let the sun rays enter the room to light it fully. The sunlight fell on Flora through the window, warning her body.Flora blinked, her brows tightly furrowed when she felt heat on her face. She slowly opened her eyes and yawned. She hissed as a slight pain hit her head. She closed her eyes again, rubbing her forehead. She opened her eyes again and stared at the ceiling. After a minute of staring at the ceiling, she blinked. The ceiling did not belong to her, the hotel room, or her own bedroom in her house.A chill ran through her body when she realized the ceiling was really familiar to her.Without a second thought, she sat up with a jump. Her eyes widened when she looked around her. That room was more than familiar to her. She looked down at the bed. How could she forget this bed? The room? Or the ceiling?"What the hell! How did I come here?"She was i
Under the hollow light in an old basement, Oliver walked toward the man tied up in a chair. Around the man, five to six people were standing while keeping their eyes on him.One of them spoke out as soon as Oliver approached."Your Majesty! He is the one! He tried to attack you that night."Oliver clenched his jaw and stopped in front of the man. He grabbed the man's hair and pulled it back to see his face. His brows shot up. The dark expression on his face changed as his eyes fell on the man's face."Maximus?"The man was none other than his friend. This was the friend he had never thought would betray him. Seeing that his own friend tried to attack him, yearning to kill him, he was shocked. His grip loosened around his hair, and he stepped back. "Why you?"Maximus looked into Oliver's eyes. There was no guilt but anger for his friend."Why not? Oliver, you are a cruel man! Because of you I went bankrupt. It took my mom's life away. I hate you. You killed my mom!" Maximus yelled with
Flora couldn't help but roll her eyes. She moved from Elma and gave her a look of disbelief."Why fall for a ruthless man? You are a soft flower. If he ever got a chance, he would have pulled out all the petals of yours and dried your soul."Elma frowned at her, not understanding her deep words.Flora took a deep breath and patted her shoulder. "It's okay. Sometimes we fall for the wrong person. But one day, you will get the right guy for yourself."Elma held her hand on her shoulder and patted the back of it. "Just like you got King Oliver? He is so in love with you, Flora. He wants to marry you and is waiting for your date. Which King will do that? You are really lucky to have him."Hearing her words, Flora felt touched. She turned her head and looked at Oliver. With a calm face, he was talking about a serious deal. The Alpha and Luna were very impressed by how simply he was explaining it.Flora smiled at him. She was really lucky. She had felt that way every single day over the pas
Everyone was shocked upon hearing Oliver. Flora froze, not moving her head to look at Oliver. Her eyes were on the floor. Her brows furrowed. She was unmoved with thoughts.Aaron's eyes darkened. His jaw clenched as he narrowed his eyes. His eyes shifted from Oliver and moved to Flora. He was waiting for her to refuse whatever nonsense Oliver was spilling out of his mouth. He was not surprised when he found her silent. He had already seen her with Oliver in the room. His heart started pounding with anger, his eyes flashed red for a moment.Lifaya put her hand on his shoulder and leaned toward his ear. "Alpha, calm down. She's just a slave for you."Aaron tightened his fists while staring at the woman who flew from his realm one year ago. Today, she got so much courage that she let another man call her his future wife.Alpha Tomson was quiet. He was in an uncomfortable position to speak. His face turned pale. All the colors dried and he looked really unpleasant. The reason why he spent
It took us long hours to reach the place Aron had decided to take me.It was called Lake City. The car came to a stop near the lake. I got out of the car and looked around. I noticed there were no other people there.I was confused. I turned to Aron, who had just gotten out of the car."Isn't it a
I was taken aback. "What?" I could not believe it. He might be joking. He opened the front passenger door for me and signaled me to get in. I walked toward the car and got in. Aron did not close the door immediately. Instead, he leaned over me. It was as if my breath was caught in my throat. Hi
I was too shocked to react. How could Jonas say Aron was not a good man? He was the kindest man I had ever seen.I drew in a deep breath and gave him a sarcastic smile before continuing."Listen, you do not ever need to give me a warning. I know what I am doing and what is good for me."Jonas glanc
He left one breast and moved to the other. His hand played with the nipple that he had bitten a few seconds ago while his mouth played with the other.I was a moaning mess. I was losing my mind, feeling empty that I could not touch him.I wanted to hold him and press him closer to me. But
