I had just stepped out of Alpha Alex Seinfeld's study when I ran into Wayne Seinfeld and his group of werewolf friends.

The moment they saw me, looks of disdain appeared on their faces.

"Leah Graham, are you here to see Wayne again?"

"You really have no shame when it comes to him. Aren't you worried your parents would think you've lost all self-respect for chasing after him like this?"

Wayne looked me up and down coldly.

"What are you doing at my house? Did you come to beg my father to convince me to treat you better?

"So what if your mother saved mine back then? It's been years. That debt was repaid a long time ago.

"Leah, come on, we've known each other for years. Stop showing up in front of me.

"Otherwise, even if you go to my dad, I will never mark you."

His eyes were full of disgust and contempt.

Just like in the past life, my love had never moved him.

I took a deep breath and answered calmly.

"Stay out of my affairs! And for your information, Alpha asked me to come because he's personally hosting my birthday party tomorrow."

The moment I said that, Wayne's friends froze in shock.

"The Alpha is personally throwing you a party?"

I understood why they reacted that way.

After all, the Alpha had stopped involving himself in minor pack affairs long ago.

If he was stepping in personally, it clearly wasn't just for a birthday celebration.

The Alpha had once said that on my eighteenth birthday, he would choose one of his sons to become my mate.

Whoever became my mate would inherit most of his assets and become the pack's next Alpha.

After the initial shock, the group turned to Wayne with teasing smiles.

"Congratulations, Wayne. Don't forget to take care of us when you're Alpha."

"Oh my goodness! You're practically the next Alpha. It's finally your time to shine."

Wayne shot me a smug look and sneered. "Congratulations to you too. You've followed me around for years, and now you finally get what you want. Leah, you must be thrilled."

With that, he walked up to me and leaned forward. His lips were close to my ears when he spoke. "But to avoid repeating past mistakes, there's something I need to make clear first. After we become mates, you'll still be my Luna in public. But at home, Nala will be my real mate. If you can accept that, then I'll agree to mark you."

My heart jolted. I never expected him to make such an outrageous demand.

I studied him carefully.

Could it be that he had been reborn too?

Right then, a gentle female voice came from behind me.

"Leah."

My younger sister, Nala Graham, was walking toward me in a short pleated skirt. She had a shy look on her face, and she coughed softly every now and then.

The moment Wayne saw her, he hurried over.

"You're sick. Why did you come out?"

Nala lowered her head. "Wayne, Dad asked me to come with my sister. He was worried she'd feel lonely by herself," she said with a wounded expression.

Wayne immediately took her hand and glared at me. "Why are you so needy? Can't you go anywhere without someone accompanying you? Can't you see that Nala isn't feeling well?"

After saying that, he led Nala away.

Before leaving, he turned back and scoffed. "Leah, if you keep acting so willful and selfish, I won't mark you."

I smiled.

I was clearly the one who no longer wanted him to mark me.
