That night, after everyone had fallen asleep, I lay in bed beside Alexandro. I felt his hand creep around my waist, pulling me closer. Usually, his touch made me feel passion, made me want more. But tonight, I felt empty.

"Lulu," he whispered in my ear, his breath warm on my neck. "I missed you. I missed this."

I didn't answer. I just lay still, letting his hands explore my body. He kissed my neck, my shoulder, and I felt his burning desire. But me? I felt nothing.
