Cassius was pacing around his room, he had been calling people that will help him with Lydia's case but none of them were answering, it seems like they already blocked him.

The scene kept replaying in his mind, Lydia never got close to the case, but how come she was the one on the camera.

Soon a friend called him back.

“She has been released by an anonymous person”

“What do you mean”

“Enough of your questions, go pick her up” he said before hanging up.

He was about to rush out when his phone buzzed again.

“Did you enjoy the show”

His mind went straight to Victoria, he stared at the number for a moment and he blocked the number.

Another message pup in.

“You think blocking me is the solution”

“WTF”

“Is she stalking me or what, because I don't understand why she can't let me be”he thought.

Cassius arrived at the police station. He looked at Lydia and she became a little thin in his eyes.

Like someone that hasn't eaten throughout the night, her body was full of mosquito bites. Her eyes were swallowed

A message pup in her phone.

“You are free to go, and this case I will go through it for you, you won't be accused of what you didn't do”

A little smile played on Lydia's lips.

“Thanks” she tried texting back but she was already blocked.

She raised her head to see Cassius, she did not cry when she saw him, she just went straight to the car.

They drove in silence.

“Sorry I didn't come to release you, none of my friends agreed to come with me”

“How would they come when you have nothing useful to do with them”

“And what does that have to mean, like get to the point”

She scoffed “figure it out yourself”

“Did you really not take it?”

“No”

“The footage–”

“I did not care what the camera shows Cassius but I did not take it”

He was quiet.

“Then who did?”

Lydia looked out of the window.

She kept arriving at the same answer, an answer that she doesn't want to say out loud.

Because saying with will look like she had been played from the very first beginning by her sister”

Then the name came out her lip unknowingly “VICTORIA”

Cassius didn't say anything but his hands tighten against the steering wheel until his knuckles went completely white.

“And why didn't you say it back then”

“Like you would believe me”

“Of course I will”

“Stop asking, I'm tired I need rest”

They drove in silence, Lydia face was on the window.

Faith was in her room going through the files her father gave her to take a look, when her phone began to ring.

She looked at it, Warren's name was displaying on the front screen.

She picked it up and his voice came out first.

“You released Lydia right?”

“Questions”

“I know you did it, and that's not why I called you”

“Why did you call them?”

“To tease you a little”

“I'm busy, if you don't have anything useful to say, then forget it, I'm hanging up”

“Wait, wait, your uncle is the the company”

“Okay”

One notification “EMERGENCY MEETING CALLED BY UNCLE MARCUS.

AGENDA- FINICAL IRREGULARITIES IN THE COMPANY ACCOUNT BY 3PM TODAY.

Faith read it once.

She looked up, her parents were standing in front of her.

"What is wrong faith? ”

She shook her head.

“Why is your face like this?”

“Nothing mom and dad, there is something I need to handle in the company”

“He is moving faster than I expected,” Faith thought.

She slid the phone back into her pocket.

She took what she was supposed to be needing.

She picked up her pen taking note like nothing was happening, but her mind was already in the boardroom mapping every seat, every face, every move uncle Marcus would make before he made it.

“Mom, dad, I will be back soon” she said before rushing out.

Before faith would reach the board room was already full of the members present.

Some smiled at her when they saw her, some looked at her with sympathy. Some avoided her eyes completely.

Marcus was already standing at the head of the table.

“Faith my darling, I wasn't expecting you to be here”

Faith took a seat without responding.

Marcus cleared his throat, he started presenting smoothly with all confidence, like the way a man does when he has every phrase arranged.

Slides appeared on the screen behind him. Number. Chart. Loss.

“As you can see the company has suffered from significant financial damage over the past few days, reckless spending, unauthorized transactions, poor decision making ”

Murmurs around the table.

“I have brought this to your attention today, because something needed to be done urgently for the good of the company”

More murmurs

Some nodded.

Faith sat completely still throughout.

Her eyes were on Marcus the whole time.

Her expression completely neutral

Her hand folded under the table.

She was not angry, nor afraid, she was just looking.

Marcus clicks the next slide.

“I have evidence of a transaction that was made by Miss Saritini that the authority did not approve, over one million in losses direct from the company account, and it was made without the company approval.”

“And I know why I called for this meeting”

The room shifted uncomfortably.

The older board member stood up “thus look quite serious”

Another one stood up “faith is that true?”

All eyes turned to faith.

Faith looked around the room slowly at every face at everyone who had watched her grow up.

At uncle Marcus who had a perfect smile on his face

Not in this life but in her first life.

And they were all looking at her.

The room waited.

Marcus smile was confident, the smile of that person who had won everything

Faith unfolds her hands slowly.

She looked at Marcus directly.

The whole table held their breath.

“Are you finished uncle?”
