I wrapped my hands around the pole, spinning around it while my thighs tightened hard against the cold metal.
My mouth was close to the speaker, and the singer’s voice poured out hot and slow, making every move of my body look more intimate.
Love me like a desert rose.
Hold me like you can't let go.
My eyes caught the gaze of a large man sitting in the crowd. His build was massive, his black hair falling thick over his forehead. There was something dark and unreadable in the way he looked at me. His stare was cold. Empty.
He was not hungry like the other men.
Not drooling.
Not breathing hard while watching my nearly naked body move.
He looked at me as if I was nothing.
My gaze drifted down to the glass in his hand, heavy with liquor. Then his eyes slowly moved to my lower body.
A shiver ran through me.
As I spun around the pole again, I noticed how his fingers tightened around the glass. He avoided looking at me after that, almost like he did not care.
The dance pulled the breath out of the entire room. I gave up a piece of my pride tonight just to collect a few paper bills.
When the music ended, I stepped down slowly and walked toward the hallway that led to the dressing room. I changed back into my old clothes, then headed outside to the lounge where the bar guests were sitting.
The first person my eyes landed on was him.
That mysterious man.
His presence stole the air from my lungs. I could not look away, even though something about him pushed me back every time I tried to get closer.
When I reached him from behind, his broad shoulders caught my attention. Without thinking, I placed my hand gently on one of them. I wanted to ease the tension in him. And maybe something else too.
I spoke softly while glancing at his drink.
"Are you okay?"
His dark eyes dropped to my hand. I quickly pulled it away, afraid of how he might react.
Then he looked at my honey colored eyes. His own were deep and dark like a storm.
His rough voice cut through the air. I had never heard a voice so deep and smooth before.
"Amazing."
A mocking smile touched his lips, though his serious expression never left his face.
"What is amazing about it?"
He took a long drink from his glass without looking at me again. Then his deep voice dropped a bomb straight into my stomach.
"No one has ever asked me if I am okay before."
My heart tightened as he kept drinking. His burning eyes slowly studied my face in silence.
"You are drinking too much. What you are doing will hurt your health."
He stared at the messy strands of hair falling over my shoulders.
"I will not die from alcohol. I might die from something else."
I did not understand what he meant. I gently tapped his hand.
"I hope you have a good night, sir."
Before I could take a step away, his commanding voice destroyed my decision.
"Stop."
He turned his neck and faced me fully.
"What can I help you with, sir?"
His tattooed hand slid into my brown hair. His fingers brushed the skin of my chest with bold curiosity.
His tongue sounded heavy with alcohol as he spoke.
"Is this your real hair color?"
I stepped back, but his fingers were still feeling the softness of my hair. He looked fascinated by me, though he tried hard not to show it.
"Yes."
His voice grew rougher.
"Bar dancer. Or a little whore?"
A dirty question. I had heard it from many men before. Something inside me wanted to slap him across the face.
But I could not.
I needed money more than ever tonight.
I swallowed with difficulty and murmured with hesitation.
"Both."
A crooked smile appeared on his lips. I could not tell if it was mockery.
"Why are you smiling like that?"
He pulled his hand away and stood up straight. His height suddenly felt towering.
"Your tongue is too long. It needs to be trimmed so it matches your short height."
Without warning, his arm wrapped around my waist and dragged me against him.
I gasped in shock.
His fingers pressed into my cheek as he asked in a low voice.
"Yes or no, little one?"
I nodded quickly, struggling to breathe.
With his free hand he grabbed his jacket, then started walking, dragging me with him toward the stairs that led to the upper suite. Even though he was drunk, his steps were steady.
Nicole looked at me with shock and disappointment as she watched me going upstairs with him.
The upper suite was a private floor that belonged to the owner of the bar. I whispered to him while we climbed the stairs.
"This place is forbidden. We are not allowed to go up there."
Our eyes met.
"Did anyone stop us?"
I shook my head.
He looked extremely charming for a moment.
Then the charm vanished when he answered sharply.
"Then shut that talkative mouth."
I tried to push his hand away from my waist. His grip only tightened until a small cry escaped my lips.
He leaned close to my ear and whispered something filthy.
"Save your moans for the bed."
He released me in front of the suite door, then shoved me inside roughly.
My voice trembled, almost breaking.
"I am not ready to have any kind of relationship with you."
He turned to face me like a man burning with anger.
"Do not try to run from your duties, little one. Aren't you a whore?"
His finger pointed straight at my face as he walked toward me step by step.
"You are lucky I am here tonight. So you will not leave until I drain every drop out of you."
My heart started shaking again.
Because I am not a woman who sells her body to satisfy men.
And the huge man standing in front of me looked terrifyingly serious.
Aurora BrooksI didn't realize when I fell into sleep, the echo of the raging waters rocking my mind, guiding me toward comfort and safety. I woke to my mother's voice calling my name. I was still wearing the same clothes as before, though my hair had lost its neat arrangement.I sat on the edge of the bed with sleepy eyes, barely able to open them enough to see her properly. "Mom, are you okay?" I asked drowsily, sleep nearly stealing my awareness once more.I noticed a tray in her hands carrying dishes filled with food. She placed it on the table and remained standing. "You and Mr. Alexander Roth didn't have dinner with us, so I prepared a light meal for both of you."I hid my surprise and gave her suspicious looks. My tongue stumbled as I tried to ask what she was planning. "You mean the two of us should have dinner together... alone?"With a faint smile, she nodded and let her eyes wander around the room. "It's not healthy for him to stay hungry while steering the ship all night.
Aurora BrooksEvening arrived with orange threads announcing the sunset of our day. I lowered my bag to the driver who had arrived in front of our house by order of Commander Alexander Roth. A large vehicle was waiting for our five bodies: me, Amelia, Ivy, my mother, and my bastard father, Daniel Brooks, who kept whining over my mother's head because he would no longer be able to get drunk again. I hate his filthy topics that reveal his ignorance and brutality. We all got in. A few minutes later, the vehicle stopped at a harbor that held the same ship I had been on that morning. According to my memories, a shameless breeze caressed me. I was the only one who knew what had happened on it, to us and between us. I felt like a wicked devil or a traitor. The door opened automatically to reveal Ethan Roth. The first thing his eyes landed on was my sister Ivy. With a wide smile, he took her hand and led her inside. My father Daniel followed her, followed by my mother Maria. Amelia and I were
Aurora BrooksAlexander stepped backward, pulling out his phone, starting to film me. I felt free, my locks flying in the wind, my body appearing bright under the sun's rays. My swaying on the flagpole was explicit, every single time feeling it tap my femininity, reminding me of damp hands. I let out a burst of my captivating laughter, the look on his aroused face telling me he was in the depths of his own hell."Are you filming me, Mr. Alexander Roth? Without my permission." Walking with steps that made resounding thuds due to my high heels, I watched his chest rise and fall on his way to suffocation."I cannot miss the horror of the temptation before me, preciosa. My preservation of you for this moment is something I cling to with all the patience I possess." With malice, I completed the words of the song while looking closely at him from every side, his phone still capturing long videos."Love me like a desert rose, Hold me like you can't let go" I lifted my legs upward, jumping to
Aurora Brooks"I am the most naive of beauties, Babino." With a spiteful smile released just to provoke him, I held onto the railing and pushed myself further back."Don't call me Babino again, Auro." With a harshness exhaled through his nose, he wrapped a tight grip around my neck, speaking to me through his teeth."What should I call you, Babino? Do you not like it anymore?" I raised my eyebrows slyly while his hand tilted my body downward without mercy."It pleases me in a way that is dangerous for you, so try to stay out of my sight and hearing." He growled with resentment, trying to ward off his faint laughter, casting a glance at the cleavage of my breasts, tilting me further. When I twisted my face downward, I found a terrifying sight that startled every corner of me, the currents of the waves clashing against the side of the vessel, cold droplets of their spray reaching the scalp of my head."Mr. Alexander Roth!" I cried out in a loud, frightened voice, gripping his bare forea
Aurora Brooks"Aurora, this is because it is the place where I find comfort and seclude myself, just as you do with the shade of the trees."Wait! How did Alexander know about my habit, the one I turn to whenever the evils of life weigh heavily on me? Only two things bring me comfort: relaxing under the shade of the forest trees in our city or swimming in the sea, whether at night or in the morning."How did you know?"He went inside ahead of me and then extended his hand, so I did not hesitate to hold onto him tightly. He coolly countered my question with another: "Knew what?"A sense of suspicion washing over me, I spoke too much as I stepped into the ship: "How did you know that I love relaxing under the shade of trees, Captain?"Alexander Roth closed the door and the lights exploded throughout the space, the interior of the vessel resembling a luxury home that made me feel dizzy. I immediately forgot whatever question I had asked, no longer interested in knowing the answer as much
Aurora Brooks"Did you just move away from me?"I lowered my eyes to his hand that was hurting my arm badly.I winced in pain."Mr. Alexander Roth, you're hurting me."His steady lashes didn't move, as if he had forgotten how to blink while diving into my eyes with complete intensity."You're hurting, aren't you?"I nodded and spoke to his captivating eyes."Beautiful, and you are too."He released my arm and I let out a warm breath. He buttoned his shirt back up, then rubbed his thighs with trembling hands, trying to hide it.I didn't hesitate to take them gently while feeling the slight tremor running through them.My features softened and my eyes filled with tears for no reason.Maybe what I see in him from time to time is the strongest reason why I cry.I don't like seeing him weak in front of me."Alexander Roth."He lifted his gaze from my hand to somewhere other than my face.I asked in a choked voice,"How is your heart?"He squeezed my fingers tightly and the trembling stoppe
Aurora Brooks POV"Please do not talk about yourself like that. Out of all of us, you deserve love the most. Because you give it to everyone without asking for anything back."Ivy gasped in disbelief, as if she had no idea that everything I do in secret is only to make sure she never has to reach o
Aurora Brooks POVThe last day of the week is the meeting day Ivy told me about. We did not spend long preparing for it. All we did was clean the house well and buy what we needed for dinner. But this is very bad.All I want is for tonight to pass quietly. No problems. No sudden trouble from that h
Aurora Brooks POV"Am I the first?"My face was trapped inside his sinful gaze. He licked his lips slowly, his drunken breath crashing into my face like a wild storm. With every breath he took, another piece of my strength fell apart while I tried to distract him."I am not obsessed with sex. But I
