Emily

I woke up to the smell of burnt toast and coffee. Sunlight sliced through the half-open blinds, painting stripes across the bed. Jack was already up, humming off-key in the kitchen like nothing had ever been wrong between us.

I slipped out of bed, pulled on one of his old T-shirts, and padded downstairs barefoot. He stood at the kitchen in boxers and a wrinkled tee, scraping charred edges off bread with a butter knife.

He glanced over his shoulder when he heard me. His face lit up, he flashed me a warm smile, almost boyish.

“Morning, beautiful. Last night was… mind-blowing.”

Of course the only reason he would make breakfast for me is because of last night’s mind blowing sex. I crossed the room, rose on my toes, and kissed him slow. “Glad you enjoyed it.”

He grinned against my mouth, then turned back to the pan. “Toasts. Nothing fancy. Figured we could start the day easy.”

I slumped into a chair at the table. Watched him plate the slightly blackened bread, add jam, and pour coffee into a cup.

When he set the plate in front of me, I picked up a piece, tore off a corner, but didn’t eat. “Isn’t it time I met your family?”

He froze mid-pour. Coffee sloshed over the rim. “I already told you, Em. They’re shitty people. Never believed in me. Never supported the business, the dreams, nothing. We’re better off without them.”

I looked up at him, keeping my expression firm. “I still think it’s important. Especially now. In this new phase of our life.”

He set the pot down and stared at me confused. “What new phase?”

I reached into the pocket of the T-shirt where I’d tucked the pregnancy test last night after he fell asleep, and threw it across the table.

Two pink lines stared up at him.

His eyes widened. “You mean… this is real?”

I smiled, placing my hand on my belly. “Read between the lines, babe.”

He let out a whoop that rattled the windows. Dropped to his knees in front of my chair, wrapped his arms around my waist, buried his face in my stomach. “Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you—”

I stroked his hair. Let him yell his joy into my shirt. I’d always wanted kids. Always. The miscarriage had carved that want into desperation. But this? This wasn’t about kids. Not anymore.

I steered him gently back to the topic. “So… your family. Your parents. They should know they’re going to be grandparents.”

He exhaled, still kneeling. “I’ll… think about it. Promise.”

His phone rang on the counter, he glanced at the screen, his expression shifting immediately.

“Shit. One of the investors. Emergency call.” He stood, already reaching for it. “I’m sorry, babe. Can’t do breakfast. We’ll celebrate properly tonight, I’ll order dinner.”

He kissed me quick on the forehead, like I was fragile cargo, raced upstairs to put on some clothes and came down a few minutes later fully dressed, he muttered an apology again, then grabbed his keys, and was out the door before I could answer.

The second the lock clicked, I swept both plates into the trash. Untouched toast. Untouched coffee. Untouched performance.

I picked up my phone to call Maira, then shook my head. No. I needed to see her face when I said it.

Twenty minutes later I was at her door, heart hammering louder than my knock.

She opened it in an oversized T-shirt and sleep shorts, hair messy, eyes still heavy with morning. We stared at each other for a long beat, neither speaking, just breathing the same air.

Then she smiled. “Em. What are you doing here?”

“You said if I need you…” I swallowed. “Well, I do need you.”

She stepped aside. I walked in. She locked the door behind me with a soft snick.

I sat on her couch, it looked similar to mine, the same one where she’d taken me apart last night.

“Breakfast?”

I shook my head, remembering how I trashed Jack’s food earlier.

She disappeared into the kitchen, came back with two plates: scrambled eggs, toast, sliced avocado. She handed me one and beside me.

We ate in silence, holding each other’s gaze until she shifted uncomfortably, parting her lips to speak, “what is it Em?”

I set my fork down, took a deep breath before I let the words spill. “Have you always been bisexual?”

She raised an eyebrow. “Who says I am—”

“A lesbian then.” My voice was steady despite my wracking nerves. “Have you always been a lesbian?”

Maira laughed, and it just… kept going. Seconds stretched, then piled into nearly a minute before she finally slowed.. “Sexuality isn’t something I think about too deep, Em. Labels are exhausting.”

“But with what happened—”

“So?”

I met her eyes. “Have you always felt that way about me?”

“No.” She said it so confidently it almost hurt. “I’ve only ever seen you as a friend. Nothing more. I was just… there. When you needed someone. And what’s wrong with experimenting?”

“So you used me.”

She tilted her head. “More like I gave you what you needed in the moment. Besides, if there was using, we used each other.” She winked.

My gaze lingered on her lips as she spoke, my senses dulled, I stood up and suddenly Crossed the small space between us. Without thinking, I stopped right in front of her chair. Still fixated on her lips. “In that case, can you use me again?”

Her eyes darkened. She reached up, hooked a finger in the neck of my shirt, pulled me down. The kiss was immediate, no preamble. Clothes came off fast, my shirt yanked over my head, her T-shirt tossed to the floor, both our shorts dragged down our thighs. We stumbled, landed on the couch in a tangle of limbs. Her mouth was everywhere, my neck, breasts, stomach then lower. I arched when her tongue found me again, fingers curling inside at the same rhythm that had wrecked me before. I came fast, shuddering, loud, clutching her hair like a lifeline.

She climbed back up, straddled me, guided my hand between her legs. I touched her the way she’d touched me, tentative at first, then bolder when she moaned my name. We moved together, grinding, kissing, fingers and mouths fighting for dominance until we both came at the same time, I felt my pussy clench as the orgasm rippled through me. After, we lay there, sweaty, hearts racing, her head on my chest.

When I finally caught my breath, I turned her face towards me. “What are we doing?” I whispered.

She traced lazy circles on my stomach. “Fucking.”

I giggled so hard I felt my chest hurt, Maria mirrored my laughter, mimicking me at some point. When we both quieted, I caressed her cheek with my thumb “I’m going to see Jack’s parents this weekend.”

She propped herself on an elbow. “Finally. So they exist.”

I nodded.

“What made him change his mind?”

“The pregnancy.”

She shrieked, half-laugh, half-horror. “You’re pregnant? We just—”

“I’m not.” I smiled. “I showed him the old tests. From before the miscarriage. Let him believe.”

Maira stared at me for a long second. Then she laughed, deep, delighted. “Wow, Em. I didn’t know you had it in you. That’s pure evil.”

I grinned. “I haven’t even begun yet.”

When I got home, Jack’s car was already in the driveway. It was odd to see him arrive this early.

He was in the living room, pacing. He looked up when I walked in. “Where’ve you been?”

“Went to see Maira.”

His brow furrowed. “Does she know?”

“Of course not. I wouldn’t tell family business to a stranger.”

He relaxed a fraction, scrunching his nose as he a niffed the air. “You reek of her perfume. Thought maybe you two were hugging and crying or something.”

I smiled. Memories of her mouth, her fingers, her laugh still hummed under my skin. “Something like that.”

He stepped closer. “I have a surprise.”

“What?” I tried not to sound uninterested.

He pulled two plane tickets from his pocket. Held them up like trophies.

“We’re going to see my family.”

I looked at the tickets. Then at him. I jumped into his arms. Let him hug me tight. “Perfect,” I murmured against his shoulder.

He had no idea what was waiting for him there.

Neither did his family.

But I did.

And it thrilled me.

Jack held my arm, gazing at me seductively. “Can we have another episode of last night?”

I smiled at him, letting the lie slip easily off my tongue. “Of course, my husband.”

  • Dangerous Allure   A Storm By The Lake

Emily’s Pov“I want you to put your mouth on me.”The words barely left my lips before Zane’s eyes flared with raw hunger. We were already at the edge of the private dock, the wooden planks were cool and slightly rough under my bare feet. No more words. He dropped to his knees in one fluid motion, powerful hands gripping my hips as he yanked my shorts and panties down my legs in a single tug. I stepped out of them, heart pounding, completely exposed to the night air and to him.“Fuck, look at you,” he growled, “I’ve always imagined what you would look like, naked…” he paused as his gaze swept over me. “This is gold.” His hands smoothed up the backs of my thighs, spreading me open as he leaned in. His hot breath ghosted over my folds, making me shiver violently. “This pretty pussy is dripping for me already.”Then his mouth was on me.A sharp cry escaped my throat as his tongue dragged slowly, firmly from my entrance all the way up to my swollen clit. The wet heat of it sent electri

  • Dangerous Allure   There’s Always A First Time

Emily’s PovMy heart leaped straight into my throat. I tore myself away from Zane, scrambling backward as panic washed over the heat in my veins. My eyes darted to the dark opening of the shed, I strained my ears for the sound of Jack’s furious voice, or the heavy tread of the boots of whoever it was that had seen us together. A small, furry shadow darted across the gravel, chattering softly before scrambling up the trunk of a nearby oak tree. When it came underneath the reflection of the moonlight I realized it was a squirrel.A breathless, shaky laugh escaped my lips. I pressed a hand to my chest, feeling my pulse hammering against my ribs. I turned back to Zane, whose own chest was heaving, his eyes still wild and alert.“Jesus,” I breathed, a relieved smile breaking across my face. I smoothed down my tank top, trying to ground myself. “Look at us. What are we even doing?”Zane stepped back into my space, raking his fingers through his hair as he looked down at me. “I have no idea

  • Dangerous Allure   He Cheated

Emily’s Pov “He cheated!”“He fucking cheated again.”I could smell her on him the second he stepped into the bedroom. That cheap, sickly sweet perfume clung to his shirt like a confession he hadn’t bothered to hide well enough. Underneath it was the faint musk of sex, another woman’s sweat mixed with his. My stomach turned as Jack gave me a tired smile and started peeling off his clothes in a hurry, muttering something about needing a quick shower after “helping Dad with some stuff outside.”Liar.I lay there rigid under the sheets, pretending to sleep while he disappeared into the bathroom. The water turned on, and I imagined him scrubbing away whatever had happened tonight. When he finally crawled into bed, his skin was still damp and warm, he snuggled up behind me like nothing was wrong. One arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me back against his chest. His breath tickled my neck. “Missed you today, babe,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to my shoulder.I wanted to scream, to shov

  • Dangerous Allure   A Test Of Sin

ZaneI lied. I lied to myself when I insisted I would be able to avoid her. I lied when I told myself the pull was nothing more than a passing attraction, easily ignored by a man my age who should know better. But most of all, I lied about everything that mattered, and that lie was about to fucking destroy everything I’ve built. It was all her fault. It had to be. Emily came into my life with those hazel eyes that seemed to see straight through every wall I’d put up. The way they widened when she first saw me under the outdoor shower, the flush that crept up her neck when I kissed her hand in greeting. One look at her and my cock stirred like I was a goddamn teenager again. Full, heavy, aching with a need I hadn’t felt in years. That was why, during the movie last night, I couldn’t stop staring. The room had been dark, the film droning on about some forgettable romance. Jack had dozed off early, his head lolled against the back of the couch. Emily sat curled beside him at first,

  • Dangerous Allure   One Complicated Afternoon

Jack That morning, the house was full of family noise, Mom banging around in the kitchen, my sisters arguing over who got the last pancake, Dad reading the newspaper like he always did. Emily was still upstairs sleeping. I kissed her forehead before heading down, but she barely stirred. She’d been tossing and turning most of the night. I figured the baby was wearing on her. After breakfast, I helped Dad fix a loose board on the back porch. We worked in comfortable silence, the way we always had.By midday, though, I was bored out of my mind. The family stuff was nice for a while, but I needed some air. Some excitement. Emily was taking a nap again, and Mom was dragging everyone into town for groceries. I told them I’d catch up later.Instead, I grabbed the keys to Dad’s old truck and drove into the city. About forty minutes away there was this casino I used to sneak into when I was younger. Nothing crazy, just slots, some blackjack, cold beers, and that buzz of risk. I hadn’t been

  • Dangerous Allure   Blurred Lines

EmilyI woke up the next morning with a heavy fog in my head. Sunlight streamed through the curtains, and Jack was already gone from the bed, probably downstairs with the family. My body felt tired, but my mind was restless. The guilt from last night sat in my stomach. I got dressed in a light tank top and shorts, brushed my hair, and headed downstairs. The house smelled like fresh pancakes and coffee. Everyone was scattered around the kitchen and dining area. Jack waved at me with a big smile and pulled out a chair for me.Zane was at the counter, pouring himself more coffee. Our eyes met for a brief second. He gave me a small nod, like nothing had happened. But something in his expression felt... off.I sat down and tried to eat, but my appetite was gone. After breakfast, as people started clearing plates, Zane walked past me toward the hallway. He paused for a second and murmured under his breath, just loud enough for me to hear, “Some things are better left as dreams, don’t you

  • Dangerous Allure   Stroke Count

EmilyMy heart stopped. The fake pregnancy. That stupid lie I agreed to so I could punish him further. I couldn’t afford to let him say it out loud, especially not with Zane sitting right there, watching me like he could see inside my soul and whatever dirty secret I was hiding. The room started to

Emily I froze the second I heard the knock, shivering as water dripped from my body onto the floor. My fingers were literally still glistening with my own wetness, and my mind full of filthy images of Zane fucking me senseless. My heart pounded violently against my ribs. Panic and fresh arousal m

  • Dangerous Allure   Tension: High

Emily “Well,” he said, “I see you’ve met my dad already.”There were only two times in my life I had been shocked. The first was when I found out Jack had been cheating on me and the second when I experienced what Maria could do with those red plump lips of hers. But this one topped both.I stood

  • Dangerous Allure   Wet Visit

Emily The plane landed with a gentle thud that jolted me back to the present. Jack was already unbuckling, reaching for the overhead bin before the seatbelt sign even dinged off. “I’ve got it, babe,” he said, voice low like I might shatter if he spoke too loud. “You just sit. No lifting. Docto
