Summer

“That is a ridiculous request.” The response came so quickly that it was obvious he hadn't even considered it, his face hardened immediately. “And it is completely impossible.”

The irritation in his voice was no longer hidden. “I just told you that I am willing to provide any amount of money you need. I can purchase any house you want, anywhere in the world. I can buy you any car. I can cover every medical expense you have for the rest of your life.” His jaw tightened. “But I cannot live under the same roof as you.”

There it was, to him, I was beneath him. The idea of sharing the same space with someone like me offended him. What else should I expect from a Lancelot?

I folded my arms across my chest, before I could speak, Amelia let out an offended scoff. “What exactly do you mean by someone like her?” For once since meeting her, she actually made sense, Ethan turned toward her. “No, seriously. Explain it to me.”

Her voice dripped with sarcasm.“You feel so high and mighty, don't you? If ordinary people disgust you so much, maybe you should've built your own roads instead of driving on the same roads the rest of us use. Then maybe you wouldn't have hit someone like her.”

Ethan's expression darkened, he slowly looked between Amelia and me. His eyes lingered on me for a second before returning to Amelia, then he laughed. “I am not going to stand here and argue back and forth with you like a group of peasants.”

He adjusted the cuff of his suit. “I came here out of courtesy.” He looked at me. “I apologized for what happened, I expressed my condolences for your loss.” Then he spread his hands slightly. “The most I can offer is an open check, write whatever amount you want. Tell me what house you want or the car you want. If necessary, I will arrange the best therapists in the world. But you are not living under the same roof as me.” The arrogance in his voice was impossible to miss. “Do you have any idea who I am?”

He actually sounded offended, as if my request had somehow insulted him. “Do you know who my family is?” He shook his head and muttered under his breath. “Such a ridiculous request.”

The doctor turned to me. “Miss Elena, I think you should accept the king’s offer. He is offering you what no one else can ever offer. I know all of these things can’t bring back your child, but it’s a good place to start and with therapy, you will regain your memory back.”

I stared at him for a moment. “You work as his spokesman too?” I asked. The doctor immediately looked away.“Isn’t your job treating me? Why are you acting as his defender?”

The doctor remained silent, Amelia shifted closer to me. “Elena, I know you are not in the right state of mind right now, but this is a very good offer. I think we should accept it before he withdraws everything and we return to square one. This is a life-changing opportunity.”

I slowly turned to look at her. “There is no we.” The words came out colder than I intended, Amelia's face fell immediately. “I am refusing the offer.”

I looked directly at Ethan. “The only thing I want is to stay under the same roof with you.”

The room fell silent once again.

“Then you get nothing.” His response was immediate and cold. “I can see you are not in the right state of mind right now. I will give you time to think about it, but if you keep insisting, then you leave me no choice but to withdraw everything.”

My jaw tightened, without another word, he turned toward the door. He was about to leave.

If this had been before, I probably would have given up, I would have lowered my head and accepted whatever he offered. I would have convinced myself that something was better than nothing.

Because I had always been afraid to push back, afraid to challenge people like him but that was before. Right now, I had nothing left to lose, I had already lost my life once. And the body I was in gave me far more freedom than I had ever had before.

“Amelia.” She looked at me.

“Can you get me my phone?”

Confusion flashed across her face.“What for?”

I kept my eyes on Ethan's back. “I am going on live on I*******m and tell the whole world how the Lycan King hit me, made me lose my baby, my memory and my valuables, and now wants to dump me in the hospital with no one to take care of me.”

The room went completely silent, Ethan stopped in his tracks, his hand froze on the door handle. Slowly, he turned around, his jaw was clenched so tightly that I thought he might crack a tooth.

For several seconds, he simply stared at me, then he ran a hand down his face in frustration. The muscles in his jaw twitched. “Fine.”

The word came out through gritted teeth. “You can come stay with me.” His expression darkened. “Till you get better.”

Summer“Ethan Lancelot?” Amelia whispered beside me. Her eyes widened the moment she recognized the man standing at the doorway. She looked completely stunned.“Holy shit,” she breathed. “He looks even better in real life.”I turned slightly and saw her openly staring at him, completely mesmerized. Her mouth was practically hanging open as she admired him.“Girl, do you realize how lucky we are right now?” she whispered excitedly. “ Ethan Lancelot is standing right there.” She didn't seem to care whether he could hear her or not.My eyes met his across the room, the moment they did, every painful memory came rushing back. Hatred, anger and bitterness, those were the only emotions I felt. This man was the reason my life had been destroyed. Because of the Lancelot family, I had lost everything, my parents were gone, my siblings were gone and now the man responsible stood in front of me looking calm and unaffected. Not a trace of guilt crossed his face, not a hint of regret, if anything

SummerI slowly took a step back, my heart pounding hard against my chest, this didn’t make any sense. Either I was in a completely different world or I had somehow woken up inside another person’s body. But that was impossible, right? Things like that only happened in movies and crazy stories.“This can’t be real…” I whispered under my breath. My eyes drifted back to the mirror. I leaned closer, studying the face staring back at me. It was unfamiliar, yet something about it tugged at my memory.I frowned, trying to remember where I had seen her before. Then it hit me, my eyes widened in shock. “Yes…!” I gasped softly.I have just switched body with a popular stripper, I knew her because her videos went viral last year abd I had caught some maids or guards in the house watching her videos, not only did her dance videos make her popular, she was also involved in a lot of scandals. How can I switch soul with someone like this, I have never even gone to a party a day before in my life. • Died A Breeder, Reborn A Stripper   Chapter three

Summer The first thing I noticed was the endless beeping of machines. Beeping? In heaven? I thought, and a dry laugh slipped through my mind, not this life again. I opened my eyes slowly, squinting against the harsh white light. Walls, ceiling, and that sterile smell, it was unmistakable. A hospital, not exactly the afterlife I imagined.I tried to kick, to protest, to yell but my body felt like it had been stuffed with lead. Every limb ached, every joint screamed. I muttered silently, my teeth gritted in fury. “Moon goddess, really? Couldn’t I just die in peace? Like Rest In Peace for real?” Even lying there, helpless, I couldn’t stop the anger bubbling up. The world was loud, cruel, and apparently had a sick sense of humor. And me? I was stuck in the middle of it, bruised, broken, and entirely unwilling to cooperate. The darkness swallowed me again, cold and endless, pulling me into oblivion. Then, slowly, light returned again,my eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, the shape

  • Died A Breeder, Reborn A Stripper   Chapter two

SummerI forced myself to keep moving despite the storm, even though I was scared that I would end up just like the maid. Minutes passed, then lightning suddenly flashed across the sky again. For a brief second, everything became visible and then I saw Lilo, the small cat was curled under a car, trembling. Relief flooded through me. I rushed forward without thinking, crouching down and pulling him into my arms. He was soaked and shaking violently, so I held him tightly against my chest.“I have got you…” I whispered, though my own body was trembling just as much. The storm grew worse, I turned and ran toward the house, my steps unsteady as the wind fought against me. Reaching the door, I knocked hard. “Open the door!” I shouted but there was no answer. I knocked again, louder this time, panic rising in my chest.“Please! Open the door!” Still nothing. The rain poured harder, the wind howling like something alive. I clutched Lilo tightly, shielding him as best as I could. My heart p

Summer“Leave.”My mother-in-law, Fiona, snapped at me, her voice sharp, I had barely pulled out a chair beside my husband when she spoke again.“What do you think you’re doing?” she asked, her eyes narrowing as she looked me up and down. “You think that seat is meant for you?”I slowly turned to my husband, hoping just once that he would say something. But he didn’t, he just sat there, his expression blank, as though none of this concerned him. As though I wasn’t standing right there, being humiliated in front of everyone.I swallowed hard, forcing myself to look away. I shouldn’t be surprised, he had never spoken to me since our wedding day. Not even a glance that acknowledged I existed.A bitter laugh escaped Fiona’s lips. “You think he’s going to defend you?” she mocked. “He doesn’t care about you. In fact, I doubt he even knows you exist.”Her words echoed in my chest, “Now get out,” she continued, waving her hand dismissively. “That seat is reserved for my future daughter-in-l
