LOGINCaleb is now under the microscope by Jeremiah and Gerald. Thank you for reading, I really appreciate you investing your time in Wills and Zale.
WillowAfter spending the day with Leola and my very apologetic GeGe getting pampered and preened and prepped for the charity dinner tonight with Finn. I feel relaxed and calm again. Finn just texted to say he is on his way to pick me up, so I have an hour to finishing get dressed.Zale isn’t back from the office yet, so I get dressed with GeGe in the main house. I decided on the fuchsia dress for the event; it matches my freshly dyed hair which I had curled by my hairdresser and GeGe is now pinning artfully for me. The dress is a one shoulder fitted bodice with a wide swing skirt that flares from the waist that stops just past my knees. It is embellished with pink crystals in an ombre from mid-way down the skirt to the hem. I have crystal embellished kitten heels to match.I look good and I’m not too modest to enjoy it.I kind of hope Zale will come home before I leave so he can see me in it. I want to see his reaction when he sees me in it. He’s been at the office all day, giving me
ZaleI haven’t slept. It’s only been a week of having her with me, in my bed every night, being able to hold her and sleep beside her, and now I can’t relax without her here. I wonder if she had the same issue last night? Probably not as Anders reported that she was getting really drunk and ranting about me all night. She probably passed out and had the best sleep of her life while I lay here pining for her. She’s still pissed and hasn’t linked or called or texted me since she stormed out.I know I’m meant to give her the space to calm down and process but I’m not sure how much longer I can stand her silence. I check my phone again for what feels like the millionth.Nothing.Maybe she’s not up yet. It’s only seven am, still early if she’s been up all night drinking and cursing my name. She probably has a killer hangover to go with her hating on me for constantly forgetting to tell about the pact.I head to my home gym, put my earphones on and start pounding my frustration out on the tr
“No Grandfather. I only request that Belinda be taken care of while I’m...remanded.” He asks, looking at me with an expression of pain and regret. Him thinking of his mate has helped to show a small slither of hope that he can be redeemed, but it will be a very long road before he is forgiven and trusted again and not just by his mate but all who know what he did and how he tried to cover it up.I sigh heavily, so utterly disappointed and heartsore for what is coming for him and Belinda.“You are dismissed. Go to conference room three and wait for your mate to find you.” He gets up slowly, dusting off his pants, wiping his face clean and then straightens his shirt, trying to keep some semblance of dignity I suppose.Jeremiah holds his stare for a moment before releasing the soundproofing on the room and stepping aside to let him out. He pauses when he sees two guards waiting for him outside the room, Jeremiah has also linked their orders to them and will finalise the full security deta
GeraldI wait patiently as Jeremiah brings my grandson Caleb into my office and seat him in front of me. He’s nervous and he’s avoiding my eyes. I’m so very disappointed in him and everything that I read in Jeremiah’s report, his mate Belinda is going to be devastated when she finds out what has happened. What he has covered up.Jeremiah closes the door and turns on the soundproofing seal to the room; I don’t want anyone else hearing this conversation.“What’s going on Pops?” Caleb asks, looking behind him at Jeremiah who stands leaning against the door, his arms crossed, guarding the only exit.I don’t answer him, just stare him down. “Do you have something to tell me Caleb?”“W...What do you mean?” He stammers, his nerves getting the better of him. I’m not going to let him off that easy and neither is Jeremiah, not with what he discovered. He should know better. He should have come to me.“You have one chance to be honest with me, and I will help you, but if you lie to me there will
Oh wow. What am I looking at?Is that what I think it is?“Leola, how much did my mum tell you about her abilities?” I ask tentatively, trying not to focus on the gold shimmering in my periphery. It’s getting brighter and brighter. I take another swig of vodka, squeeze my eyes shut to see if that helps. It doesn’t.Does alcohol make my sight work better...get brighter?“A fair bit, why? What do you want to know?” She gets up and grabs two packets of chips from her pantry and two tubs of dip from her fridge and puts them on the table in front of us. It’s probably a smart move for us to start eating something as so far all we’ve had is vodka. Maybe getting a little more sober will help me process everything from the pact to the bond that keeps flashing in front of me.“Did she ever talk about...seeing...I guess you could call it gold rope coming from wolves?” I’m frowning as I try to find the right words to explain what I mean. It’s a rope but not a rope...a cord?“I think you are talkin
Willow“I mean what century are we living in?” I rant, as I sit at Leola’s kitchen table and take my fifth shot of vodka while I read through the betrothal pact. It’s all legal speak but essentially says I have been sold to the first-born grandson and of the Ryker Clan - Zale - to ensure a Clan alliance is sealed by the merging of bloodlines through first Zale and I and then any children we have.I’m fuming. That is not happening.“It’s pretty standard for Wolfen society I’m afraid, especially for the clan Alpha families and more so for someone with your abilities.” Leola states and takes a shot next, keeping pace with me and just letting me rage however I need to. I’m grateful to her for letting me process in the way that I want, even if I’m still slightly ticked off at her. “Your mum was pretty pissed when she was first told about it too. She was pretty firm with Alpha Geri that if she was to ever have daughter that they would have to go through her before she allowed them to force h
