Gianna.

School felt unbearably loud today.

Not loud in an actual way.

Nobody was screaming. Nobody was causing chaos in the hallway. Conversations blurred together normally around me, lockers slammed shut, people laughed too hard at things that probably weren’t even funny.

Normal.

Everything was painfully normal.

And somehow that made me feel worse.

I know what you're thinking. Why does that make me feel worse?

Because it seemed like the world kept moving anyway.

People still worried about assi

  • FATEBOUND: Mated to my step-brother   Forever.

Gianna.Peace is a funny thing. When you spend your whole life fighting for it, you almost don't know what to do once it arrives. At first, it felt... unfamiliar.Like I was waiting for something terrible to happen.Waiting for my phone to ring with bad news.Waiting for another nightmare.Waiting for another curse.Another fight.Another goodbye. But none came.Instead...Summer happened. The kind of summer people always talked about but I never thought I'd get to experience. Our vacation to Greece was everything I imagined and more. Crystal blue water, sunsets that looked painted across the sky, and Ivan constantly pretending he wasn't tired after insisting we walk "just a little further" every single evening. We laughed.A lot.We made memories instead of surviving them.Rue went back to England like she'd planned. The funny thing was, she barely texted.Instead, she'd send postcards.Actual postcards.Every single one had some ridiculous drawing on the back. Sometimes it was a sti

Gianna."We're done!!!"Rue yelled at the top of her lungs, throwing the papers in her hand into the air.Almost instantly, the hallway erupted into cheers. Laughter echoed from every corner as students hugged each other, high-fived, and celebrated surviving another semester.I just stood there, shaking my head in disbelief. We actually did it."Oh my God, you guys!" Rue squealed for what had to be the tenth time. "We're finally done with this semester!""For the first time," Cassie laughed as we settled into our seats at the café, "I can agree you're not even being dramatic.""I know, right?" I rested against my chair with a sigh. "This semester was... more than a lot."That had to be the biggest understatement of the year."So," Cassie asked, stirring her drink, "what are your plans for the summer?""Well, I'm definitely going back to England," Rue replied almost immediately. "I've missed home.""And we're going on vacation," I said. "We just haven't decided where yet."Cassie smile

  • FATEBOUND: Mated to my step-brother   The last goodbye.

Gianna. The first thing I noticed was that nobody was panicking. And somehow...That made everything easier.A few months ago, hearing the word "curse" would've been enough to make my entire body tense. It would've dragged me back to every horrible possibility.Every "what if."Every moment where I wondered if I would lose myself. But now?I just stood there.Listening.Because I had learned something. Not every problem was a monster waiting to destroy me.Sometimes...It was just something unfinished. The seer looked between Ivan and me."The curse was tied to you, Gianna."I nodded slowly."I know.""But when we removed it, we focused on breaking the connection. We focused on freeing you."Her expression softened."And we did."Ivan's hand found mine.A quiet reminder that I wasn't standing there alone."But there was one thing we didn't do."I tilted my head."What?""The final closure."The words sounded dramatic, but the way she said them wasn't.There was no fear.No urgency.Ju

  • FATEBOUND: Mated to my step-brother   Another unclosed case.

Gianna. The sunlight hit my face so softly that for a few seconds, I didn't even realize it was already morning. And honestly?I didn't mind. For once, waking up didn't come with a feeling of dread. No fear.No waiting for something to go wrong.Just warmth.I turned to my side, and the first thing I saw was Ivan.A smile immediately formed on my face. His white hair fell softly over his face, and somehow, even after everything we had been through, I still found myself staring. His hair was one of the things I loved about him.It made him look unreal.Like some mystical being that somehow walked straight out of a fairytale and into my life.Which was ironic because my life had become something straight out of one too.Except with more danger.A lot more danger. My hand moved slowly, brushing the strands of hair away from his face.“Thanks princess.”I immediately froze. My eyes widened slightly. He was awake?“Since when have you been awake?”“Not long.”His eyes remained closed, but

  • FATEBOUND: Mated to my step-brother   A new beginning.

Gianna.I looked around. The rope was still on the floor. The chair Alina had tied me to was still there. The claw marks from my fight covered the ground.Everything was proof that it actually happened.I was tired. Not just physically.Everything inside me felt exhausted.I picked up my phone and walked out of the building. The moment I stepped outside, I checked my phone. No service.Of course.I let out a frustrated breath and kept walking.I had no idea where I was.No idea how far I was from home.No idea how long I had been there. After what felt like forever, I finally reached the main road.I stood by the side, waiting for any vehicle that could pass by.Anything.I called Ivan.Straight to voicemail. My chest tightened slightly. Not because I was scared.I knew he would find me.But because I hated that for the first time in a while, I couldn't feel that invisible connection between us guiding me back to him.I pressed the phone closer to my ear."Hey..."My voice sounded qui

  • FATEBOUND: Mated to my step-brother   I lost the sister I wished I had.

Gianna. The first thing I noticed was the silence. Not peaceful silence. The kind that made every little sound feel louder. My breathing. The small movement of my body. The faint sound of wind passing through the cracks of the unfinished building.Slowly, my eyes opened. For a moment, I didn't remember where I was. Then everything came rushing back. The call.Alina's voice. The location. The darkness. And then nothing.I tried moving.Immediately, the rope around my wrists tightened. My jaw clenched.Of course.I looked around. An unfinished building. No furniture. No comfort.Nothing that made this place feel like somewhere a person was supposed to be.Just cold concrete walls and the faint light coming through the cracks.I took a slow breath.A few months ago...This would have terrified me.Being trapped.Being alone. Not knowing what was coming next. But I wasn't that girl anymore.I had been trapped inside my own mind.Inside my own fear.Inside a curse that wanted me to believe

Gianna. His lips… God, his lips were fire. The moment Ivan’s mouth claimed mine again, everything inside me snapped. There was no ceiling, no walls, no logic — just heat and want and a maddening hunger that clawed up my chest like it wanted to devour me from the inside out.His hand slid around my

  • FATEBOUND: Mated to my step-brother   It's just the heat period right?

Gianna. My whole body ached. Not the normal kind of ache. The kind that came from heat — from memories I couldn’t shake. The kind that still burned even after the fire was gone.I turned on my side and groaned. The sheets still smelled like him. My skin still buzzed, and no matter how many times I

  • FATEBOUND: Mated to my step-brother   In bed with my stepbrother

Gianna. The sunlight slipped through the curtains, warm and irritating. My body felt heavy, like I’d run miles in my sleep. I groaned, rolling over, and immediately regretted it. My skin was hot—too hot. It wasn’t just warmth; it was a slow burn that crawled beneath my flesh.Oh, no.“Don’t tell m

  • FATEBOUND: Mated to my step-brother   The heat period

Gianna. I woke up staring at the ceiling, sunlight leaking through the curtains. My body felt heavy, like I hadn’t actually rested.A knock came at the door.“Be down in five, Gia!” Mum’s voice sang, and then her footsteps faded.I groaned and dragged myself out of bed. After brushing my teeth and
