"Oh my gosh! That's him! That's the man I was talking about!" Lana exclaimed.
I felt as if I had drowned in my own head as all voices muffled away and all I could see was him.
The green eyed dangerous man.
The danger in the air intensified as I felt more threatened than before. Was he here to just openly grab me from my home and take me away?
Or was he still going to try another manipulative trick which involved seducing me and claiming to be all mine?
Well, I was not going to fall for either of those things. I was going to stand up for myself today and prove to Rogers that I could protect myself.
Besides, there was only little he could do in broad daylight.
My determination was firm as I grew bolder yet every step he took that brought him closer to me caused my treacherous wolf to dance with need and desire.
I suddenly remembered the way he touched me not long ago. The way that his hands made me burn hotter than I recognized.
The way that his lips disrupted my thoughts and I instantly released an involuntary. shiver
"I knew you would be shocked by his existence but isn't this reaction too much?" Lana suddenly asked in a confused tone as she looked from me to him.
"That man is dangerous. . ." I whispered to her.
That was when the beautiful stranger reached us and smiled. "I didn't expect to meet you here," he whispered and his voice affected my wolf.
I swallowed hard. As much as Yara wanted to pounce on him and eat him up, I was not going to let her have her way. I refused to fall under his spell. He could not make me do anything stupid with that charming face of his.
"Yeah right, you expect me to believe that?" I asked as I folded my arms at him
"What do you want to believe then?" He asked as he tried to sway me with his charm and fake innocence.
"I know that you have been following me around, stalking me from the shadows. Who sent you, you fucking stalker and pervert?" I suddenly snapped.
He staggered back, visibly shocked by my words. Then he corked his brows at me in amusement.
"That's a first. I've been called many things but never a pervert nor a stalker," he slowly said.
His amusement angered me and I was suddenly irritated by him. This was probably his game. This was how he swayed unsuspecting young girls whom he was sent to kidnap by whoever his boss was.
"I know your tricks. I can see right through you and I am not going to fall for it. You can drop the fucking act now. Who sent you?" I demanded as I poked my finger at him.
He looked down at it before moving his unfazed eyes to me. It was as if everything I did fascinated him in a sort of way and it was really getting under my skin.
"Is this what you think of me?" He asked ever so softly.
"Girl. . .I think you're taking it too far. I think you should hear him out. Maybe it's all just a big coincidence," Lana chimed in and began to pull my arm in an attempt to stop me.
"Coincidence my foot! Let me go, Lana. I have to get to the bottom of this. Can't you see he's a stalker?" I spat before turning back to him. "I was drunk yesterday and I had no idea what I was doing but right now, I'm in the right state of mind and there is no way I'm falling for your tricks again!"
He lifted his brows at me again as he listened attentively to my words. This made me feel as if he was mocking me, as if he wanted me to show off all of my stupidity while he remained the calm and wise one.
"I really think you should stop," Lana urged.
"I know what to do to people like you. Simply telling you off is not going to do. I have to get my friends to teach you a lesson. They'll surround you and beat you up!" I yelled in his face.
He tilted his head slightly at me. "Is that what you really want? You want to see me beaten black and blue?" He asked.
Did this man think I was bluffing? What was fucking wrong with him?
"I can't let anyone else hit me but for you, I'll make an exception on the condition that you do it yourself," he whispered as his gaze burned into mine.
My wolf stirred and I could swear that I felt butterflies begin to flutter violently in my stomach.
How could this man be flirting while getting attacked by me? How was he so good at it?
"You can start now, if you want. . ." He trailed.
My eyes went wide when I saw him bring his hands to his halfway exposed chest. He started to play with the button as if he wanted to take it apart.
"You've lost your mind! In fact, you're a psychopath. You're sick!" I snapped as I glared back at him in disbelief.
He grinned at me and my wolf began to do a seductive dance within my mind. She wanted him and she was becoming dangerous, so much so that she could push me to him when I least expected it.
"How can one man be so sexy?" Lana asked as she drooled.
I gasped as I took in her pathetic state. "Control yourself, Lana!" I exclaimed.
She jumped instantly and cleaned away the drool from her mouth. This was it for me. This man had to leave.
My wolf stirred with protest at the actions that I was about to take but I ignored her. I knew what was best for us. She was just driven by lust.
"You need to leave," I stated as I folded my arms at him.
He chuckled darkly. "Unfortunately, I can't."
His response was firm, despite the amusement and I wondered if I would have to call the Pack police on him.
"I'm not afraid to use force," I stated.
He swept his eyes over me and it reminded me of last night again.
"As much as I'd love to see you do that, I can't leave just yet. I have business in this house," he stated.
I narrowed my eyes at the pervert. "Get out of my house!" I yelled.
That was when Rogers appeared beside us out of the blue. "I thought I heard voices," he began and bowed to the beautiful stranger. "Lycan Issa, forgive Yulia. She's been stubborn about the arrangements since I told her."
It was at this point that both the stranger and I frowned at Rogers.
"Yulia?" He asked and I heard the disbelief in his voice.
"Lycan?" I asked instead. "You know this man?"
Rogers widened his eyes at us. "You have no idea. . ." He said in realisation as he looked from me to him.
There was silence as I began to connect the dots.
"This is Lycan Issa, Mariana's stepbrother— your uncle," he dropped the bomb.
~Yulia Thunderclaps woke me up, and I was shocked to see the sky red above me. I turned my head around and was surprised to see I had gained back control of some parts of my body although I still felt very weak.I felt like I was still bound to Uriel now more than ever. I was still in the centre of the runes, with the candle lights switched off. "Allumes." Helena commanded. The fire suddenly came back and I shrieked. I tried moving but a spell held me back firmly in place, or it was Uriel being in me. Deucalion looked around, confused. "Is that it? Why does it seem like it didn't work—"Helena suddenly controlled the flames and the fire from the candles suddenly moved towards Deucalion, trapping him in a circle of fire. "What is this?" Deucalion screamed. He tried to move through it, but it burned with incredible heat. At the same time, it was sucking away his strength. "Helena! What are you doing?!" He screamed again. Helena smirked and walked past me, towards him. All I coul
~ISSAThe engine roared as I flew through the forest in the car. I had put the car in its maximum performance mode, driving through the forest. The suspension groaned as the car bounced off the pothole but that wasn't a problem. It was built for this kind of purpose. My heart raced as I focused on the road, hoping to reach the house fast. As I emerged from the forest and returned to the road, I felt relieved to be back in civilisation. I knew I had to find Yulia. Yulia was the answer to everything. Something was wrong with me, Iran felt strange. My body although healed, felt totally alien. My vision started blacking out and the car started veering off course but I shook my head and I was wide awake. "Whoa!" I exclaimed as I nearly avoided a collision with another truck by spinning the wheel to the left. "Fucking idiot!" The truck driver yelled as he moved past me. I blinked several times trying to focus. There was a sharp pain in my chest that came at intervals, I knew it was I
~Yulia. The darkness enveloped me, yet I wasn't scared. I had gotten used to it, the total silence, the eager cold seeping into my bones. My body had been completely taken. I was pushed back into the farthest reaches of my consciousness while Uriel took over my body. But yet, I wasn't scared. I had accepted my defeat. There was nothing I could do now. It was either Issa or he took over my body, and I would never risk Issa's life for anything after all he had done for me. I suddenly felt Uriel's presence beside me. He had free movement in my body and wasn't shy to use it. "Yulia!" He cackled. "You have won, Uriel. You have gotten what you want. So what are you going to do?"Uriel scoffed. His eyes glowed red as he shook his head. "Isn't it quite obvious? I'm going to bring about destruction to the world!" He roared. "None of these people deserves to live. I will plunder, I will kill, I will torture until the world turns red and it rains the blood of the fallen." Beneath all that
~MILESUpon hearing Davina's words, Iris sank to despair. She slowly slid down to the ground against the wall and looked helpless. She was completely broken, knowing her sister had been possessed by evil itself. But it couldn't end like that. I couldn't believe that there was no other way out of this mess. I also hated seeing Iris like that. "Davina," I called her name. Davina ignored me and continued rubbing her face and bruises with a clean cloth. She was grumbling and wincing. "Davina, you heard me the first time.""What? What do you want me to do? To kill myself this time?" She sounded annoyed. "Andrea nearly broke my back. I'm guessing you want me to put my head on the line for you, right?""Watch how you say that!" I hissed at her and glanced back at Iris. She looked very pale, with a dead expression on her face. "Iris isn't in a good place right now."Davina sighed and turned to me. "Fine, tell me what you want."I sighed and moved closer. "There has got to be a way to ke
~JAMAL. Something felt terribly off.I had been placed in a cell in the upper levels, outside the dungeons. Yes, it was better than the one I was locked in before, but the feeling was different. I was still bound by silver chains so I didn't have much freedom of movement inside here either. Atticus who usually came around hadn't set foot in the dungeon since that day. And there was a strange mobilization of men recently. My sharp ears had heard them as they marched outside early in the morning. To cap it all, I had heard the worst rumour from the guards that gossip loudly around my cell. It was either they were incompetent and decided to speak rather loudly when I'm around or they didn't just care about it. Atticus had teamed up with Deucalion. That was all I heard. It could have explained why he hadn't come. I placed my hand on the metal bars of the cell and waited. I had spent less than two days in this new cell but I felt like I was wasting my time here. I glanced at the gu
~YULIA It was a destroyed village, ruined from the foundation to the top. I had never seen destruction on this level before. As I walked into the ruins, I could hear voices whispering. I had read somewhere that the troubled dead would whisper in the ruins of the clan, that was why its location was kept a secret. But now that I heard it, was creepy and I wanted to bolt. But Yara silently assured me it was fine. I came across black roses, growing in the wild and native to the clan. But they had withered and dried up, barely recognizable. A painful image of the rose beside my dead mother flashed in my head and I walked past it. The order of the black rose witches were also responsible for the clan's destruction. I had to find something important. As I ventured deeper into the ruins, the voices got louder and overlapped with each other, creating an incoherent, creepy crowd mumble. I knew it was a way of deterring intruders but I pushed on and entered deeper. The dark energy I had s
