Ella's POV

The men stopped instantly and lowered their cameras, shifting their postures from aggressive paparazzi to obedient soldiers. My heart sank at the realization that they were his gammas all along.

Jason glanced at Professor Wilson who was trembling and still keeping his face hidden. "You can go, Wilson. You've served your purpose."

The professor didn't need to be told twice. He scrambled past the gammas and fled down the hall without a single glance back at me.

"How?" I whispered, my voice trembling with a mixture of rage and shock. "How could you make him do something like this?"

Jason tilted his head, amused. "How?" he repeated softly, like I was a child asking why the sky was blue.

He took a step closer, the smile never leaving his face. "Because people bend, Ella. They bend when I tell them to. And Wilson? He bent too. Do you know why?" His voice dropped low "Because no one wants to stand against me."

I managed to swallow the lump that formed in my throat. "You ruined him. He was...he was a good man..."

Jason barked out a cold laugh. "He's a coward. And you..." He leaned forward, "...you're pathetic for thinking anyone would risk their lives for you."

My nails dug into my palms, shaking. Rage burned hot in my chest, but my legs wouldn't move.

Jason straightened, brushing imaginary dust from his sleeve."It was easier than I thought, though..." he said calmly. "All it took was a little threat about what might happen to his wife in the hospital... and the good professor was suddenly very eager to cooperate." He sank onto the couch and poured wine into a glass before him. "Everyone has a pressure point, Ella. I just need to find it."

"You asshole!" The words tore from my throat. I rushed to him, grabbing him by his collar, "Haven't you done enough? What did I ever do to you?" My voice cracked. "I loved you in every way a wolf could possibly love her mate, Jason! What more do you want?!"

He shoved my hands away, rose to his feet, and splashed his glass of red wine across my cheek. "Because you refuse to learn your place!" He snarled, calmness completely vanishing from his face. "You were always meant to be a shadow, a quiet little omega on my arm. But you had to be more, didn't you? Acting smarter and stronger than me to the point that the pack started whispering your name with more respect than they ever said mine. A Luna who outshone her Alpha? Now, that's a problem."

His words hit me like a physical blow. This was the truth I never saw coming. His hatred wasn't just about Dahlia or some fling. It was about his own fragile ego.

How could he be this petty? How could he hate me, murder our babies for something as trivial as this?

"You're a coward," I spat, clenching my fists at my sides. "You were never an Alpha. You were just a boy pretending to be a king, terrified that a lowly Omega was a better leader than you could ever be!"

His face darkened and he moved so fast I didn't see it coming. His slap cracked hard against my cheek with brutal force that made my head snap to the side, and I tasted blood as my lip burst open from the impact.

Before I could steady myself, he grabbed me by the throat and slammed me against the wall. He choked harder until I could no longer feel the breath in my lungs. My wolf screamed and I continuously clawed and thrashed.

"Don't you ever," he hissed. "...ever in your f*cking life say that to my face again!" I refused to nod and his grip tightened harder till my face began turning pale. He finally let go and I hit the tile with a loud thud, gasping for air.

He squatted in front of me, brought up his thumb to roughly wipe the blood from my torn lips. He held it up, examined it, and then, with that cold predatory stare locked on mine, he slowly dragged the same thumb across his mouth and licked the blood off.

Something inside me went ice as disgust and fear rolled through me. My wolf whimpered, cowering in the back of my mind.

"You keep bringing out the monster in me," he said in a venomous whisper, "... but you know I'm a generous man. So, I'm willing to offer you a way out. One last chance, Rhaella. Be my mistress. You really fuck so good and that still makes you useful to me. In return, I'll wipe out your hospital bill, and get your mom her jobs back. And all that's happened over the last few days will be nothing but a nightmare."

His proposal was so vile and degrading that for a second I couldn't breathe. My wolf howled in agony at the thought; she couldn't believe our mate could ask such a thing from us. She was gutted and I hated that she was put in this position.

"Excuse me?" I asked, standing to my feet, "How could you ask me to do such a thing?" I asked in a choked whisper; tears threatening to spill from my eyes, but I kept them away not wanting him to see me break anymore.

He stepped closer to me, and I felt rooted to the ground, unable to move away. "Because you were once my mate, Ella," he said, reaching out and touching my arm gently. "We will always have this strong connection, even if I mark someone else. I'd take care of you and your mom... all you have to do is just say yes."

He was rubbing his fingers up and down my arms and I felt sick to my stomach. I finally found the strength to step away from him, my body trembling.

"No," I said, meeting his eyes, "I'd rather f*ck the Lycan Lord who treats omegas like me like trash than be your mistress!"

His eyes darkened.

"You don't have a choice, Ella. Becoming my mistress would only benefit you, plus what will you live on if your mom doesn't get her jobs back?"

"I will find another way," I said through my teeth.

He raised his brows as he stared at me. He studied me for a moment longer like he expected me to change my mind at any moment.

"You'll change your mind," he said, stepping back with a smug smile. "Your hospital bill is due today, isn't it? I'll have it suspended for 48 hours. That's how long you have to give me your answer. Accept, and it disappears. Refuse, and the collectors will be at your door the moment the clock runs out."

"I don't need you, Jason!" I yelled as he left.

Rhaella’s POV. I looked up to see Sylvia and Michael making their way through the crowd. Both of them were practically jogging toward us. The second Sylvia reached me, she gave my mother a quick greeting before grabbing my arm and dragging me a few steps away. Not far enough for Mom to worry, but far enough that she wouldn't overhear. Michael followed behind us, looking equally tense. The moment we stopped, Sylvia smacked my arm hard. "Ow!” I stared at her. “What was that for?" "That's for almost giving me a heart attack!" I blinked. "What are you talking about?" Her eyes widened. "What do you mean, what am I talking about?" She shot back. "What was that crazy stunt you pulled last night? How could you not even think to tell me any of it beforehand?” I shrugged. "Would you have let me do it if I had?” “Absolutely not!" She grabbed my arms again, squeezing them so tight that it almost hurt. "Ella, that was reckless. What if he had gone violent with you? What if he’

  • FIFTY MILLION DOLLAR OMEGA   Chapter 45: Nowhere to hide.

Ella's POV.I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. The luggage was already waiting in the living room… I'd packed everything last night; two boxes, one for my mother and one for me. The letter had made it clear that each person was only allowed to come with one.Just clothes, important documents, and a few other necessities. Nothing extra or fancy.I stood staring at the boxes for a few seconds, how they looked so small. It felt so strange that years of living in this house had suddenly been reduced to two boxes. A soft sound behind me pulled me from my thoughts. My mother stepped out of her room, dressed and ready to leave. She paused for a moment and looked around the house one last time, and I could see how hard she was trying not to cry.My chest tightened at the sight of that. But I didn't want her last memory of this place to be me falling apart, so I swallowed whatever was trying to rise up inside me, straightened my shoulders, and walked over to her.“Hey." she said, tryin

Ella's POV.She came reaching for my neck, but I leaned back before she could touch it."It's nothing, Mom."Her frown deepened. “That is definitely not nothing.”Her eyes moved from my neck to the plaster on my arm, then to the bandage near my hairline. "Ella..."The way she said my name made my stomach sink. She moved closer and caught my wrist before I could pull away again. She rolled up the sleeve of my blouse just enough to expose the scratches on my arm. Her eyes widened."What happened to you?"I gently pulled my arm free. "I had a small accident while packing last night,” I said. “I tripped.”"You tripped?" She stared at me, disbelief written all over her face. “Ella, all of this… from a small accident? You expect me to believe that?”Her eyes traveled over my injuries again, and I made the mistake of looking away, but she caught it instantly.“And what about your wolf?” she pressed, “Why isn't she healing you?”My wolf stirred immediately at the question, but I ignored he

Ella's POV.My stomach twisted violently. “Get out!” I screamed, pointing toward the door. “Leave my room!”For one terrifying second, his expression hardened and I honestly thought he was going to attack me again. My body braced before my mind could even decide what to do.But he turned and just walked out quietly, shutting the door shut behind him.I stood where I was, listening to his footsteps as they faded down the stairs. Then came the sound of the back door slamming shut echoed some seconds later. Only then did my legs finally give out.I dropped heavily onto the edge of my bed as the adrenaline that had kept me standing drained out of me all at once, leaving behind nothing but shaking limbs and a pounding headache.A breath that I hadn't realized I had been holding in finally escaped my lungs. Immediately, Sylvia’s voice cracked through the mindlink.“Ella…” she whispered brokenly, sounding like she was trying not to cry. “Oh, Goddess!”I pressed a trembling hand against my

Ella’s POV.“I see you're finally showing your true colours,” he murmured, a humorless scoff tugging his lips. “I almost don’t recognize you anymore. You want to accuse me of sexual assault now? I thought you were always so morally grounded.”A bitter laugh escaped me, and my shoulders shook faintly despite the pounding in my head.“Let's just say I finally realized something.” I held his gaze. “If I ever want to win against a man like you, I can't keep playing by the rules you never respected in the first place.” I paused, narrowing my eyes.“And don't forget… you actually did try to force yourself on me.”I turned away and walked toward my dresser, grabbing a wipe to clean the blood that was beginning to dry on my palm and stain my phone. “Besides, why are you acting surprised?”His brows pulled together.“You taught me.”For a second, he just stared at my face through the dresser mirror.“You accused me of cheating,” I continued, locking eyes with him through the mirror. “You fab

  • FIFTY MILLION DOLLAR OMEGA   Chapter 41: I was in control.

Ella’s POV.Despite how weak I felt, I couldn't help the quiet smile that tugged at my lips. His arrogance was almost unbelievable; so much so that my shoulders shook faintly with amusement. Then I lifted a finger and pointed toward my dresser."My proof is right there.”Jason followed my finger and his eyes landed on the phone that was still sitting quietly between the skincare bottles. The video was still active but he couldn't see who was on the other side of the call. For the first time since he arrived, he looked really unsettled now.“You’re recording me?”“From the moment you walked into this room,” I replied softly, "I became the one in control of what happened next.”His jaw tightened and for a brief second, a darkened expression flashed across his face. Then a smirk slowly returned to his lips, like he still believed he had control over the situation. “Is that what you think?” he asked quietly. “That you’re in control?”I said nothing and just stared at him.“Well… your lit
