LOGINSienna's POV
"Julian Thorne?" I called out in surprise, unable to believe my ears. "In flesh and blood, why do you seem so surprised?" He asked, staring at me like I was dirt under his shoe. I took in a deep breath and adjusted myself before speaking up again, " There must be a mix-up somewhere." "Are you sure about that?" He asked, raising his eyebrows at me like he was expecting me to understand what he meant. "Positive. My mother couldn't have gotten you to be my date, no way," I answered, muttering the last part to myself. "And why is that? I'm not up to your standard, or maybe not rich enough?" He replied, chuckling to himself as he took a seat. Quite the opposite. "You must really be mistaken," I said, now picking offence over his tone. "I am sure I am not," he responded proudly. "If I remember clearly, you have a boyfriend, so please do you mind telling me why you are out here on a date with me?" He added before I could say anything, making air quotes with his fingers as he said 'date'. "I had a boyfriend," I corrected, already regretting why I didn't leave the moment he was five minutes late, that was enough sign that this was a bad idea, I am sure Mum will understand. "Had? Really, I didn't see that coming," He said sarcastically. "I am sorry, Mr.Thorne, do you have a problem with me?" I asked, fed up with his tone. "Well, it depends on what your definition of a problem is," he shrugged, leaning in on the chair he was sitting on. "It is obvious you do, I am sorry for the mix-up, but this was definitely a mistake," I shot, grabbing my purse and standing up, ignoring the few eyes around that turned our way. "Where are you going?" He asked, cocking his head to the side, a hint of surprise in his eyes. Was he really expecting me to sit here and put up with his attitude? "You have got to be kidding me," I swore under my breath, turning to leave. "I am sure your mother would want to know how the date went and same for me with my godmother, I don't think any of them will pleased to know there wasn't even a date" He spoke up amusement in his voice like I was only throwing a tantrum for his entertainment which infuriated me more, just why did I have to choose tonight of all nights. "I really don't care, I will not sit here and let you speak to me however you want for reasons best known to you," I spat, anger slowly filling me. First of all he made me wait for over fifteen minutes, then sends a waiter to me knowing fully well I didn't even know who he was to be sure someone else didn't send the waiter, just to embarrass me, I am sure he owns the place, how else was he able to send a waiter to me. What was I even expecting? Of course, he will fix the date at her restaurant he owns, just to have the upper hand. He even called me rude, and now he thinks he can speak to me however he likes and still get a date, he definitely has another thing coming. "I am sure you do, come sit, let's talk," He said, smugly gesturing towards where I was previously seated, what haven't I walked out yet? Why am I still lingering around? Maybe it is because a small part of me hoped for an opportunity like this the day we met at his company gala a year ago, but sadly, I was with that cheat and had to be in check, but now I think it was for the best. "What could you possibly have to say that will salvage the already ruined night?" I asked, placing my hand on my waist. "Who said anything about salvaging the night?'' He chuckled to himself, sitting up a little, what an egoistic man, Mum is going to get an earful from me for this. "I am so done here," I muttered, not willing to hear him out. "Why don't we go somewhere private and talk?" He suddenly suggested, rising to his feet. "I have nothing to discuss with you," I spat angrily. I am not going to let some blind date talk to me this way, rich or not. His ego will most likely be his downfall. "I am sure you do," He chuckled, walking over to where I stood. "After you," He gestured, asking me to lead the way. I hesitated a little, everything in me screaming at me to walk out this minute, but that would mean proving Mum right once again, and I can't have that, plus more blind dates from her in the future, that will be catastrophic. One night with an egoistic Julian Thorne cannot be worse than so many nights with unknown men who may even have worse attitudes. "Fifteen minutes, this date was already ruined the moment you called me rude," I said, firmly walking towards the direction he pointed at. "I didn't lie," he muttered under his breath. Ignore him, Sienna, he is only trying to get under your skin. ~~~~ We were currently seated at his office in the restaurant. It is on the fifth floor of the building, it literally has the whole floor, a floor dedicated only to his office. What a waste of space if you ask me, but being wealthy allows such, so what can I say? Whoever did the interior decoration of this place deserves an award for a job well done because this is beyond beautiful. It looks more like a luxurious penthouse than a traditional office space, floor to ceiling windows which gave a perfect view of the city, it was evenly divided to accommodate everything and more, sofas, chairs, a beautiful mahogany desk, a wine cellar, even a private elevator that we just came in from. Different artworks were hung around, beautifying it even more. He never struck me as a man who would be into art. "You like?" He asked, plopping down on a sofa comfortably. "Does it matter?" I asked back, rolling my eyes as I took a seat. "What happened to your boyfriend?" He asked, looking entertained, the guts of this man. "Is that why you brought me here?" "What do you think?" He asked back smirking, if he wasn't being such a douchebag I would have complimented him, he is definitely a very handsome man, no beautiful is the word, he looks ten times better than he did last year. "I don't know, business?" I answered, shrugging my shoulders. He laughed lightly before responding, "Yes, but not the type you are thinking." "What do you mean?" I asked while sitting up. "Well, I do want to discuss business with you, but it doesn't actually include money or finances of any kind," he said, standing up and walking to the wine cellar. "I still don't understand". He watched me with a look I couldn't differ as he poured wine into two glasses. "I want us to give them what they want," He said again, can't he just go straight to the point? "You will have to be more straightforward than this, Julian, if you want me to understand anything you are saying," I mumbled, trying to hide my irritation. "Here is my offer, pretend to be mine and we will give them a show they will never forget." He finally said, smirking as my jaw dropped to the ground. Wait! What now? Did he just say what I think he said?Sienna's POVI have not gone out in three days.Funny, right? The same workaholic Sienna who could never stay home has been indoors for three days but, as sad as it is, that isn't even what is bugging me most.Lila is.She hasn't responded to even one out of the over a million messages I sent her or the thousand calls. It's like she just cut me off, and I hate the mere thought of that.It is very obvious she is seeing all my messages and calls. She isn't even hiding that fact.Julian obviously didn't buy my pathetic lie of being sick, just like my many other lies, but he didn't push either. He simply ignored my message, but I got a get-well letter from Leah, which was all I needed. I don't think I would have been able to say anything reasonable to him if he had even attempted a conversation, so silence works for me too.A small knock sounded in the room and then the door was pushed open, revealing a very excited Brittany."Grandma says dinner is ready," she beamed, already running off
Sienna's POV "Lila, please. I can explain. It's not what it looks like," I pleaded, trying to reach out to her with my now shaky hands. "It is exactly what it looks like, Sienna. Gosh, I can't believe you. Sienna, you have been lying to my face all this while, and I was always checking up, even threatened to beat up your boss, not knowing this boss is the same man you assured me you loved. I asked you countless times, Sienna. I asked you over and over again if there was anything I needed to know about, and you lied every single time, even when you knew I suspected something was wrong. It never occurred to you to at least say something before I found out myself? I told myself every single time that you trusted me and respected me enough to speak to me, that I didn't need to go snooping around. Fuck, you even said it was fate. You joined me in my stupid antics about him every single time, and never for once did it occur to you to tell me the truth. What else are you hiding from me, Sie
Julian's POVI haven't heard a word from Sienna after she angrily left in a taxi this morning. I didn't reach out, and neither did she.I instructed Arnold to take her bags to her hours ago, but she couldn't even text to let me know if she had gotten them.“Exactly what I get for being a douchebag,” I sighed as I dialed Leah's desk.“Sir,” she answered almost immediately.“Did you check in with Arnold?” I asked. She hesitated before answering, which got me confused. “Yes, sir, I did, over an hour ago.” She sounded shocked by my question, like she was expecting a different question.“Is anything the matter?”“You have not seen it yet, sir?” Her voice wavered a little as she spoke, and that was all it took for me to know something had gone terribly wrong.“Come to my office right away,” I demanded, ending the call before I could get a response from her.I saw it before she could get here , the words staring back at me like a slap to my face:“CEO billionaire lawyer, Julian Thorne, caugh
Sienna's POV"Welcome back, Miss Blake. Welcome back, Mr. Thorne," Julian's driver said as he opened the door for us, while two other men loaded our bags into the trunk of the car."Thank you," I beamed, but Julian just nodded, his face blank. He had been this way all morning; he had only said a few words to me, and that was because of my panic. He had suggested we drive back, but that would have meant long hours on the road, so I pushed until he agreed to us taking a plane back.He stayed by my side throughout, ensuring I felt safe. I had lost it, but not as much as I would have if he wasn't there. He held my hands, singing to me like he had done before, but this time I was more aware of what was happening. Although, with how things are going, I doubt he would ever want me to mention it.My phone buzzed in my purse, snapping me back to reality. Lila's picture popped up on my screen, making me smile."Hey," I greeted softly as I picked up."My girl is back!" she squealed excitedly. My
Julian’s POV “We can stop if you really don’t want to talk about it,” she said softly, sitting up a little.I hated talking about Ethan, but not as much as I hate talking about our father.“It’s fine; you asked about Ethan and I, I can manage that.” I breathed, moving my eyes back to the city below us. Sienna’s deep gaze remained fixed on me like she was trying to see through me.“Our father... let’s just say he was one messed up man.” I continued, that day replaying in my head like it was yesterday.“He had the money to send us both to college without even blinking; he didn’t need any scholarship to assist, but no, he just decided not to. Even when Ethan and I got our scholarships, he blatantly refused to cover up the rest of Ethan’s bill the scholarship couldn’t cover. He outright asked Ethan to fight me for my spot, and Ethan did. Ethan was our dad’s favorite despite everything, so he believed our father would give in and just help Ethan at some point, but oh boy was I wrong.
Julian’s POVFlashback (15 years ago)“You have to back out, Julian. That scholarship spot is mine,” Ethan sneered as he walked into my room, headphones around his neck, hands in his pockets, like he simply came to borrow something and not ask me to forfeit the one thing that might be my only chance at a better life.“If you didn't come here to say anything reasonable, you might as well leave,” I said calmly, not even looking up from the book I was reading."This doesn't sound serious to you?" “If it did, you would know.”“You better not test me, dear brother, or things will get really ugly,” he threatened. His voice was serious, but this time, I didn’t care. I couldn’t afford to care, not when my whole future depended on this.“Do your worst, Ethan.”He really did his worst... he got me out of the house earlier than I planned, which would have left me homeless if not for Aunt Margot.*** End of Flashback ***“Would you like me to get you anything, Sir?” the housekeeper ask
Sienna's POV"How did you both meet?" Alex started watching us with keen interest. What a typical first question to ask presumed lovers right??"We first met one year ago at my company's last year's charity gala and she caught my attention immediately, but she wasn't mine to claim then and I had to
Sienna's POVJulian's body went rigid against mine, his face morphing into one of sheer anger."Sienna, let's go," Julian instructed, grabbing my hand, not too tight, but I could feel his urgency."Come on, why are you in a hurry, dear brother?"Brother? He has a brother?I pulled back to carefully
Julian’s POV "If you actually want this meeting to hold I advice you don't use that term again" I warned trying to contain the anger that was brewing in my heart."Come on,don't be like that. We are brothers aren't we?" Ethan chuckled walking closer to me,a mischievous hlint in his eyes that fuele
Sienna's POV I watched the roads pass by, the city lights illuminating the beautiful city. A car had arrived in no less than fifteen minutes after I had called Leah and now we were on our way to wherever Julian was.Something in me kept pulling at me trying to tell me that this was a bad idea but
