LOGINMyra’s Pov “You weren’t home last night, I sent for you.” Father said immediately I joined them at the dining table. Lucia and Charlotte glared at me with side eyes and proceeded with eating their meal.“I stayed late at work.” I said simply. There’s no use telling him I almost lost my life. He would only scold me and remind me how I need to be careful since the pack survival depends on me just like he did after the event yesterday. I’ve never thought about it, but what if death was an easy way out. I’ve had my life flashed right in my eyes twice in less than two four hours. I don’t know how, but two bizarre coincidences nearly got me killed.I breathed and shaked the thought off my head. He hummed. “I need reports on my business downtown soon.” He added. “I’ll have the manager bring the report…”“You need to go down there.” He cut me off before I could complete my sentence. “Tomorrow.” He gave me a knowing look. I nodded. I am used to not complaining anymore.“Good.” He drank
Tiara’s pov “It’s just a technical issue.” Colt tried to calm the crowd down. The security rushed down to help Myra and Aleric get off the ground. The place was still a little chaotic from the huge overhead lights still swinging in the air. “I think someone saw me.” I immediately received a text on my phone. My heart echoed in my chest. “What do you mean?” I texted back. “The securities are on me. You need to help me out of here.” I breathed. “Stop texting me and find a way out.” I didn’t realize how aggressively I was typing on my phone. How can he fuck this up as well. All he had to do was to make sure Myra gets hit by the overhead light. I had played my part by helping him join the technical team without notice since Myra couldn’t make it here on time. She wasn’t supposed to make it back at all, but somehow he had managed to fuck that up as well because he was too impatient to wait and confirm the job was done and was in a hurry to get coins out of me. Last night I told him
Myra’s povI was sitting up at the Vip section with Tiara and other board members.Colt rounded up with the opening speech and the games began. Two teams made it into the arena. The first in blue and white and the other in red and white.“Myra.” Colt joined us at the Vip section. I sent him a small smile as he sat next to me. “Ethan isn’t here yet?” He asked. I mean I am his fiancée. “No.. he isn’t.” I forced a smile. I know this event means something to Aleric, it's his absence that I noticed. Sera mentioned that he’d been at the hospital until dawn today, and she hadn’t arrived until sunrise because she’d only seen Walter’s calls and messages then. The first part of the games ended with a tie and Colt excused himself to join the players in the locker room. My gaze briefly met with Tiaras and they were fixed on me so much she could make a hole in my body. I bet she wasn't over our little conversation yesterday. She dares to shade me after planning to take my life with the same
Myra’s pov “Where am I?”I woke to the scent of almond and vanilla filling my nostrils. The radiator hummed quietly filling the room with warm air. I blinked my eyes, adjusting to the brightness coming through the window blinds. I looked around with a frown as I slowly tried to sit up. My head was killing me, and my body felt like it was hit by a truck. What the heck happened? Why am I here in a hospital? I could tell I was in one because of the heavily equipped machines in the room.. thankfully I’m not attached to any. Groaning, I try to slip out of the bed, and flashbacks from last night hit me like a sledge hammer. I remember going back to pick up my phone at the hockey arena, and then it got so cold in there and I couldn’t get out. I was sure how long I was in there for, but I began to lose my consciousness and I felt a familiar warmth close to me briefly, I couldn’t open my eyes to see who it was— I guess I passed out. I let out a gentle breath and forced my feet to stand
Aleric’s pov “Fuck… open your eyes.”“Hey… Myra…” My heart, hammered fast in my chest. “Myra… can you hear me?” I tap her cheeks several times. Her body was so cold her blood could freeze in her veins. I almost couldn’t think for a second there. I panicked.“How did this happen?” I turned to the arena operator.“I.. I’m not sure Alpha.” He stuttered. “She left earlier. I saw her leave.” He rushed through his words. Without wasting much time I took off my coat and wrapped her in it. I lifted her off the ground and she weighed nothing. She was too light.. lighter than before. “Alpha..” The doctors rushed down to me as I got out of the car. “We’ll take her in.” The pack doctor slightly bowed his head at me, while the rest of the medical team secured her to the emergency stretcher before wheeling her away.I slid my phone out of my pocket. “Walter, inform Myra’s assistant that she is in the Voss hospital and tell her to keep it to herself.” I said simply and hung up. I wonder how t
Myra’s pov “Hey Myra..” I turned to the voice behind me. “I’m so sorry I’m late.” He added as he got closer. “Hi Colt.” I sent him a small smile. “It’s fine I’ve only been here for a few hours.” I added. Not that I had to do any physical work other than just supervise.I am only doing the easy part of the events he gets to train the workers on how to participate in the hockey competition, and Aleric has granted leave to the participants until the event, so they could be at their best and have fun while at it. “Wow.” He breathed. “It’s really coming together. This is great Myra.” He added.“Thank you.” I smiled gently. With the team’s help, I managed to set up the seating, and we were now working on the lighting.“Take a look at this.” I handed him the clip board. Then my gaze fell on Tiara walking in, and right behind her was Ethan with a smirk plastered on his face and a flower bouquet in his hand. “Great work Colt.” Tiara said as she got closer. “And you too Myra.” She pressed
Myra's POV:His touch for some odd reason burned my skin in ways I never expected. I immediately pulled my hand away from him and made my way out of the huge hall to the restroom, my heart pounding harshly in my chest. What was going on?He was supposed to be my father-in-law yet here I was, feeli
Myra's POV:I let out a long gasp as I jerked up from the bed. I was sweating profusely, both my hands and feet were shaking terribly, my eyes readily scanned my environment and slowly I realized that this was not the hospital.I sat up and looked at my hands, there was no blood, it seemed okay ev
Myra’s pov“Please Stop! Please, I beg you, stop!” A stream of tears rolled down my cheek as I lay on the operating table. My stomach was throbbing in pain, my waist was on fire, and even the breath I took was accompanied by a sharp pain. It was too immense. My hands clasped on my stomach, prayi
