LOGINChapter 2
Just for Tonight~ Cassandra Bianca has convinced me to stay. I look around, curious about the man I met upstairs. I don't want to meet him again, so I stay near the counter, exchanging words every now and then with the bartender who seems fun and with no flirting tone. "Do you know about a boy- a man." I correct myself. That was no boy. That was a man. "Do you know about a man with blue eyes?" I ask. The bartender looks at me and raises his brow in question. "I met him upstairs, I just want to know his name. That's all." I says and he nodded. "They're many here, but blue eyes?" He thinks hard. "Deep blue eyes and pointed nose, and dark hair, very dark and chiselled jaw like a Greek statue." I butt in and bit my lips when I realize what I was doing. How could I have known all these from just those minutes we stood there? "Uhmm." He looks at me weirdly and then smiles. "That would probably be Mr Grey you're talking about. With that description, you're talking about him. Our No. 1 VVIP. He stays upstairs." The bartender says with a look and winks at me. I shake my head. "You're getting it all wrong, he's not that hot. I just want to know who he is and how to avoid him." I say. "I never said anything about how hot he is- wait a minute, did he do something to you? If it's Mr Grey, we're talking about. He doesn't force himself or even talks to a woman." He says, confuse. "It's okay." I nod at him and turn in time to see Johanna, my step sister. She is a with a man and she's barely covered. The only thing covering her skin from the world is a flimsy material that's tied from her neck to her hip. I turn so she wouldn't see me but the quick reflex makes her turn as well and she instantly recognizes me. "Cassandra." She calls and rushes forward, dragging the man with her. "Hey Johanna." I fake a smile, looking around for Bianca. "Where's your 911 soldier? She couldn't me it? No." She clicks her tongue. "There's no way you'd come here all alone, are you cheating on Dexter or your buddy abandoned you." She laughs like a maniac that was just released from prison. "I don't need a 911 soldier, Johanna. I can take care of myself, thank you very much but I can't say the same for you." I say and she scowl stepping forward towards me. "I would cut it right there before you'd need another face reconstruction, Johanna dear." My best friend jumps in to save the day. "Oh! If it isn't the best friend of the year, Bianca Oswald! Give it up for Bianca!" Johanna claps. "Keep hiding behind cowards, Cassandra. You're a rat, you've always been one and you'll continue to be one." She rolls her eyes and walks away, muttering curses as she does. "That was close." I breathe out. "Stop letting those people tramp you like that. I was so ready to beat her to a pulp." Bianca says and I giggled. I suddenly feel like someone is watching, so I look at the direction and I freeze. It's like my whole body stops moving as I stare back at the handsome looking man with deep blue eyes. He's holding the rails of the stairs, my gaze darts to the fingers he uses to brush the rails every now and then. The memory of his thump brushing my lips, comes flooding back and I quickly look away. Grabbing my glass, I down every single thing in it and place it for more. "Oh. Slow it down. Don't let Johanna's words get to you. We both know she doesn't mean a thing about it." Bianca tries to comfort me. I know she means a lot about it but she isn't the one I'm thinking about right now. "Do you want to dance?" Bianca asks and begins to tug at me without waiting for an answer. I follow beside her without saying a word. I probably need it, so I'll flush myself of this new tingling feeling radiating inside of me. We walk to the dance floor where booming sound could destroy one's eardrum but people danced anyway without knowing how the sound affects their ear system. "Don't think just dance. Forget about that asshole, Dexter and have one night to yourself." Bianca says and I give her a pointed look. She shrugs and begins to dance wildly. I dance as well, rotating my hips to hers as everything begins to blur. Bianca gets us another drink from the bar and we drink our sorrows away, still dancing to the beat of the song. On and On we drink and dance till I'm swaying from side to side. "I aish, another drink." Bianca belched, still rubbing herself on a stranger. I am officially drunk. I shake my head, coming down the stage to get to the restroom. My head is banging and I can't even remember my own name. "You okay, Gem?" The bartender calls out and I nod, flashing him a smile in my drunkenness. When I get to the restroom, I walk in to a stall and did my business. I sway to the tap and begin to wash my hand when I feel a hand on my hips. I turn around quickly, tripping as I do but firm hand catch me before I hit the ground. I smile, staring at deep blue eyes and a smile so wide, I could drown in it. Mr hot, the man I had met before is looking messy but the right kind of messy. He looks more beautiful in a dress shirt. His muscles strain and I can't help myself but touch his arm and feel them. "You followed me." I muse. "You're drunk, Cara Mia." He mumbles. I look up at him and smile. "And so are you." I reply and he chuckles. "Do you know what happens to two hot strangers who are drunk?" He asks, trailing his left hand up my body. His right hand settles on my ass and he squeezes the hot flesh. I gasp, and he smiles. His left hand raises my chin and he stares at me intensely. "I want to know the name of the woman I'm fucking tonight." He says. "Bold." I whisper and blacked out. TBCChapter 11 Waves~CassandraI should have said no. The moment Damien mentioned a small gathering at his beach house and casually invited the triplets and me, I should have said no.But somehow, here I was. Standing in front of a house so massive it looked like it belonged in magazines, with the ocean stretching endlessly behind it.The triplets came down from the car with their little backpack strapped on their back.I was doing this only for the children. I mean...my kids love their father, so coming here would only make them happy. So why do I feel as though I could hear my heart beating in my chest?"Damn, he's so fucking rich. The tabloids got their facts wrong. Cause if this is a small Beach house, I'm wondering how the big one will be like." Bianca commented on the view."Or are you sure we're at the right address?" "He's a Billionaire, Bianca. This should fit his net worth just fine." I said, ignoring her exaggerated
Chapter 10 Investor~CassandraVeloura Jewel, Beads and Fabrics was fast developing, and I couldn't be prouder. It was mind-blowing, knowing all these are a product of my hard work.Mr Shaw released the pin, and I smiled at the beautiful artwork I'd been embroidering since morning. This would be our new release to the public, and I needed it to be perfect. It's a blue Barbie-style dress, fitted at the bodice with a smooth satin sheen, hugs the waist before flaring into a soft, layered tulle skirt. The fabric is a pastel sky-blue, light and dreamy, with a subtle shimmer that catches the light when you move the embroidery. Thin straps sit neatly on the shoulders, and the neckline curves gently into a soft heart shape. The skirt falls in airy waves, almost floating, giving it a playful, princess-like feel, elegant but still youthful and enchanting. It feels amazing knowing I embroidered this in a few hours.I've always had t
Chapter 9 Fun Day Out With Papa~Cassandra The company I acquired here in New York was doing well. A good manager was all it took to put my work on solid ground, and Mr Shaw was the finest, most perfect manager one could ever wish for. The man was perfect in every way, and I was glad I met him that day at the airport.I glanced at my laptop once again and sighed."Are you sure this isn’t some scam?" I asked again, squinting at the laptop as Bianca increased the brightness. She had given herself a one-week rest from her company, and it seemed my house was the best place to crash for a week, not that I was complaining; I missed her so much.Bianca rolled her eyes so hard I thought they might fall out."For the tenth time, Cassandra, no. Big investors don’t send scams through registered law firms.""They don't, right? But they certainly don't use anonymous until they meet with the owner."I narrowed my eyes at the email again, my fin
Chapter 8 Stalk~Cassandra Just as my son had said, when the door rang twice this morning, I walked there with a happy smile to receive Bianca who had promised to visit early, only to be shocked, my mouth agape, as Damien brushed past me into the house.“Where are they?” he asked, his voice filling the room, sizzling the air like fire on wet wood.“Good morning to you too. They’re eating breakfast. What are you doing here?” I frowned, trying not to feel the heat that came with his presence. The man was handsome, muscled, and perfect, a sight for sore eyes.“I’m here to see my kids.” His eyes raked over me slowly, without shame.I crossed my arms instinctively, wishing I had worn something, anything..other than this ridiculous towel.“Is this what you wear to receive people in the morning?” His tone mocked, but the look in his eyes betrayed something darker. Something hungry.“Not your business.” I shot back, then immediately cu
Chapter 7 Every~CassandraThere are times I think life was meant to be unfair. If everything was fine and daisy, there would be no hell for people who had deranged thoughts in their mind and sickling unquenchable thirst for power and more power. After running a three downright protocol on my new foundation, happiness was an understatement to what I was feeling. But right now, standing in front of my kids and a stranger that looked like a Greek God and maybe a specimen from Bianca's romance book, I don't know what to say or feel.I had a DNA paper in front of me that says a lot. A lot of things I wished I had heard years ago before leaving.I dropped the paper. I didn't even need a paper to identify the man in front of me.He was handsome and the resemblance was too striking. Even a blind man would recognize them as family. He was yet to say a word. His dark blue eyes bored into my body and my soul.He dropped his curved leg
Chapter 6 Mummy, Look! we found Daddy~CassandraThe plane rolled into the airport and few minutes later, we were in the car.My kids were exhausted and none were saying anything. Maybe, the wanted to see their Aunty Bianca more than anything."Kids, would you like to go to the park with me when mummy goes for the meeting?" My secretary asked, looking back at them from the front seat."We're not kids, Aunty May." Alessio said, glancing at Bianca."Well, Bianca can go, but certainly not me. I also have a meeting with Lorenzo this afternoon." Alessio said, scrolling through his iPad."Uhm, Lorenzo? The President's Son? What kind of meeting do you have with him?" I questioned, knowing Alessio and his manners towards things of public... Leave it to my Alessio to make me feel like a kid. Sometimes, I wonder who he takes after and then recall he has a father and maybe, his father is as grumpy as him."I want to know why the costs of goods keeps inflati
