Dylan’s POV

Dawn comes too quickly. I stand at the border, watching Nadia prepare for the journey to Crimson Lake. She's wearing tactical gear instead of the dress Vincent probably expects. Good. She's not trying to impress him.

James loads supplies into the vehicle while I fight every instinct screaming at me not to let her go. My wolf is pacing, agitated. He knows what I know – Vincent Blackstone is dangerous, and we're walking into his territory.

"Stop looking like someone's dying," Nadia says, appearing beside me.

"This is a bad idea."

"You've mentioned that. Twelve times."

"Thirteen, actually," James calls out. "He said it once while you were changing."

Nadia almost smiles. Almost. These glimpses of our old dynamic make the ache in my chest worse.

"Vincent's not going to hurt me," she says. "I'm too valuable."

"That's what worries me. Valuable things get locked away."

She turns to face me fully, morning light catching the gold flecks in her brown eyes. "Do you trust me?"

"Yes."

"Then trust that I can handle this. I'm not eighteen anymore, Dylan. I'm not the weak omega everyone can push around."

"You were never weak," I say firmly. "Never."

Something flickers in her eyes – surprise, maybe. Or recognition of a truth she's never let herself believe.

"Alpha," James interrupts. "We should go if we want to make it by sunrise."

I drive, needing something to do with my hands besides reaching for Nadia. She sits in the passenger seat, staring out the window. James sprawls in the back, pretending to sleep but I know he's alert. We're all on edge.

"Tell me about Veronica," Nadia says suddenly.

My hands tighten on the wheel. "What do you want to know?"

"Did you love her? Even a little?"

I consider lying, making this easier somehow. But I've lied to her enough.

"I cared for her. She was pack, my mate by ceremony if not by bond. But love?" I shake my head. "I couldn't love anyone else when my soul was already claimed."

"That's tragic. For her."

"She knew. I never pretended otherwise."

"Still. To be someone's second choice, to know your mate's heart belongs to another..."

"Is that what you think you were? Second choice?"

She looks at me sharply. "Wasn't I? You chose her, Dylan. Whatever the reason, you chose her."

"I chose to keep you alive. There's a difference."

"The result was the same."

I want to argue, to make her understand, but we're approaching Crimson Lake's border. Twenty wolves wait for us, same formation as yesterday. Vincent stands at their center, now dressed in an expensive suit that screams power and wealth.

"Daughter," he greets as we exit the vehicle. His eyes slide over me dismissively before settling on James. "Beta."

"Alpha Blackstone," James responds carefully.

"Come. Breakfast is waiting."

The Crimson Lake pack house makes ours look like a cottage. It's a mansion, all glass and steel and modern architecture. Wolves watch from windows and doorways as we pass. Their eyes follow Nadia hungrily.

"Your pack seems interested in my arrival," Nadia observes.

"You're the White Wolf. Of course they're interested."

"How did you know? About me being the White Wolf?"

Vincent smiles. "I've been watching you for years, even if I couldn't approach. When you shifted for the first time, I knew. The white fur, the power... it's in our bloodline."

"Our bloodline?"

"My grandmother was also a White Wolf. It skips generations, only manifesting when the need is great."

We enter a dining room that could seat fifty. Only four places are set at one end.

"Who's the fourth place for?" I ask, immediately suspicious.

"My son. Your half-brother," Vincent tells Nadia. "He's eager to meet you."

Before Nadia can respond, a young man enters. He's maybe twenty-five, tall and broad like Vincent, with the same calculating eyes. But when he looks at Nadia, something else flashes there. Interest. Hunger.

"Marcus," Vincent introduces. "My heir."

"Not anymore," Marcus says smoothly, taking Nadia's hand and kissing it. "Not with the White Wolf here."

Nadia pulls her hand back. "I'm not here to take anything from you."

"Aren't you?" Marcus sits across from her, studying her intently. "Father's been obsessed with finding you. His lost daughter, the White Wolf who'll restore our pack's glory."

"Marcus," Vincent warns.

"What? She should know what she's walking into." Marcus leans back, smirking. "Half the pack wants to worship you. The other half wants to eliminate the threat you pose to the current hierarchy."

"Charming," Nadia says dryly.

"I prefer honest."

Breakfast is tense. Vincent talks about pack history, bloodlines, the legacy Nadia could claim. Marcus watches her with an intensity that makes my wolf snarl. James keeps one hand near his weapon.

"Let me show you the territory," Vincent offers after we eat.

We spend hours touring Crimson Lake. It's impressive – training facilities, a medical center that rivals human hospitals, schools, businesses. Vincent has built an empire.

"All of this could be yours," he tells Nadia as we stand overlooking the territory.

"I told you, I don't want to take anything from Marcus."

"You wouldn't be taking. You'd be sharing. Co-Alphas. It's been done before."

"No," Marcus says firmly. "If she stays, she rules alone. I won't share power."

Vincent's eyes flash dangerously. "That's not your decision."

"Isn't it?" Marcus steps closer to Nadia. "Unless you're planning to force something else?"

The tension is suffocating. I move closer to Nadia, ready to fight if necessary.

"Nobody's forcing anything," Nadia says. "I'm just here to learn."

"Then learn this," Marcus says, his voice dropping. "Father didn't tell you everything about our grandmother. The last White Wolf."

"Marcus," Vincent growls.

"She should know. Grandmother didn't die naturally. She was murdered. By her own mate. Because the power of the White Wolf drove her insane."

Nadia goes still. "What?"

"It's true. The power is too much for one wolf to bear. It corrupts, consumes. Unless..."

"Unless what?"

Marcus glances at me, then back to Nadia. "Unless…”

It appears Marcus wants to be Nadia's mate? More for greed and power, I imagine. It's gross watching her half brother desire her.

  • Her Alpha’s Undoing: The Luna’s Wrath   Chapter 168 The Final Stand

Nadia's POVThe attacks escalated over the next week and it felt like we were living in a war zone. Rogues targeted pack members on patrol. Messages were left painted in blood on trees near the border threatening the children and me by name. Dylan called the Alliance for help and five allied packs sent reinforcements within hours. We were essentially under siege in our own home. Warriors patrolled every inch of our territory day and night. No one was allowed to leave without an armed escort. The children were not permitted outside at all. Elena kept asking when things would go back to normal and I had no answer for her.I refused to live in fear anymore. I trained harder than I had in years and prepared to defend my family if needed. My White Wolf power had been dormant for so long while I focused on being a mother but now I needed to remember how to be a warrior again.Luna offered to take the children to her house so she could help watch them while I practiced. Elena, Aiden, Lyra, E

  • Her Alpha’s Undoing: The Luna’s Wrath   Chapter 167 The Rogue Attack

Dylan's POVI arrived at the eastern border to find chaos. Three rogues had attacked a patrol unit and the scene was very bad. Two pack members were seriously injured and bleeding on the ground while the medics worked tirelessly to save them. One was already dead and his body lay covered with a sheet near the tree line. The rogues had fled but they left something behind that made my blood turn to ice. Painted in blood on a large rock near the attack site were words that chilled me to my core. "The White Wolf's debt comes due."This was about Nadia. This was targeted and intentional and dangerous.I pulled out my phone immediately and called the pack house. "Double the guards around my family. No one gets in or out without my authorization. Post warriors at every entrance and keep the children inside."James appeared beside me with blood on his shirt and fury in his eyes. "They came out of nowhere. We did not even smell them until they were on us.""They masked their scent somehow. Thi

  • Her Alpha’s Undoing: The Luna’s Wrath   Chapter 166 Hope's First Birthday

Nadia's POVEight months passed in a blur of ordinary moments that felt extraordinary when I stopped to appreciate them. Hope turned one year old on a sunny Saturday in May and the family threw a small party to celebrate. Just immediate family and Luna's family because Hope was still too young for a big gathering and honestly I was too tired to plan anything elaborate. The house was decorated with pink balloons that the twins had insisted on blowing up themselves. There was a smash cake for Hope that I had baked the night before while everyone else slept. All five kids were there and the energy in the house was chaotic but joyful.Elena was eleven now and she helped set up the decorations without being asked. She had grown so much in the past year both physically and emotionally. She was becoming the kind of person I hoped she would be and watching her mature made my heart swell with pride. The twins were wild with excitement about the party. They kept trying to eat the cake before Ho

  • Her Alpha’s Undoing: The Luna’s Wrath   Chapter 165 The Twins' Jealousy

Dylan's POVAiden and Lyra were four years old now and they were struggling in ways I had not fully recognized until it became impossible to ignore. All the attention Elena got for her shifting abilities was creating resentment. The twins could not shift yet because they were too young. Most wolf children did not shift until eleven or twelve. And baby Hope got constant attention for being the baby and needing to be fed and changed every few hours.Ethan was the cute toddler who made everyone laugh with his funny words and silly faces. But Aiden and Lyra were stuck in the middle and they felt invisible. I could see it in their eyes when Elena shifted and everyone cheered. I could hear it in their voices when they asked for attention and got distracted responses. It developed into behavioral problems that got worse every week. Aiden started acting out at preschool and his teacher called to say he had hit another child during playtime. That was not like him at all. Lyra became clingy and

  • Her Alpha’s Undoing: The Luna’s Wrath   Chapter 164 The Stuck Shift

Nadia's POVSeraphine arrived within the hour and I had never been more grateful to see anyone in my entire life. She was an elder who had helped me learn to control my own White Wolf powers years ago when I was still discovering what I was capable of. She had patience and wisdom that came from decades of working with young wolves. She assessed Elena's stuck wolf form immediately. Her eyes moved over Elena's white fur and the way her wolf paced back and forth with anxious energy. Elena's golden eyes were wide with fear and confusion. She understood something was wrong but she could not fix it on her own."Her human and wolf sides are not balanced yet," Seraphine explained calmly. "The wolf is too strong and too excited from the newness of shifting. We need to remind her human side why it wants to come back.""How?" I asked and my voice was tight with worry."With family. With love. With her identity as Elena and not just as a wolf."Dylan nodded and went inside to gather the whole fam

Dylan's POVElena turned eleven on a Tuesday in September and with it came the possibility of her first shift. Most wolf children shifted between eleven and thirteen years old. Some earlier if they had strong bloodlines. Some later if their wolf was slower to emerge. But it always came eventually.Elena had been preparing for months now. Learning control and understanding her wolf nature and practicing with her White Wolf powers separately from her regular wolf abilities. Nadia had been teaching her meditation techniques and breathing exercises. I had been teaching her about pack hierarchy and how to listen to her instincts without letting them control her.But nothing truly prepared you for the first shift. Not really. It was like explaining childbirth to someone who had never experienced it. You could describe it all you wanted but until you lived through it you had no idea what it actually felt like.It happened on a Saturday afternoon without any warning. Elena was playing in the
