Sinopsis

Chapter One

Isabella’s Point of view

“Are you Crazy? What if Joe finds out that you are going out with someone else?” Yvonne my cousin asked me as I smiled widely at her she didn’t understand what I was doing.

I had just told her I met someone one last night who wants to take us out tonight.

“Don’t worry what he doesn’t know won’t kill him plus it’s not as if me and him are dating,” I said to her as I smiled widely.

She didn’t understand why I lived my life like this. She will never understand because she has never been in this kind of situation.

Yes, she goes out with different men but not like me; I am on the highway rushing towards my ultimate destination.

Sorry about that I forget to introduce myself, my name is Isabella but you can call me Bella or Bell, I live the life that most people would condemn but I don’t care I find happiness in it. I enjoy being the center of attention, and I am most attracted to men who are knowledgeable and have a sense of humor.

Joe was my first, we have broken up and made up several times in the last five years I have known him.

He is a good guy, but ever since he cheated on me two years ago things changed between us, I never trusted him like I did before.

I was only with him because I felt the need to be loved because all the men I have been dating are only after my body.

“So, what do you think? Are you up for it?” I questioned her as she sighed heavily.

“Ok, I will go with you but only on one condition…” She said to me and I nodded my head.

“What?”

“I want you to promise me this will stop… You settle for two men and that’s it,” She said to me as I sighed heavily biting my lower lip

“Three. Joe, the minister’s son and also the new guy also it will only be after I test them,” I said to her, and she rolled her eyes.

“You really enjoy doing this don’t you?” She asked me as I chuckled softly.

“Of course, men have taken advantage of us for a long time. The think they are the only ones who can play such games but even us can do it we just need to let them have a test of their own medicine,” I said to her as she mimicked what I was saying. What was wrong with what I was doing? There was nothing absolutely wrong with it.

“Really? Is that why you cheated on the man who loves you? Just so they can…” She wanted to say, but luckily my phone rang.

I picked up the phone showing her the screen cheerfully smiling as I picked up the call.

“Hey Handsome,” I said smiling at Yvonne who just rolled her beautiful hazel eyes.

“Hi love, are we meeting tonight?” he inquired as I looked at Yvonne

“Yep. Meet you at Seven O’clock?” I questioned him.

“Yes, I will pick you up from home?” He questioned.

“Sure, I will see you then.” I said through the phone.

“Okay, Great! See you soon” He said as I cut the call. Yvonne scoffed while shaking her head as I smiled going back to the bed, I needed to help her fold her clothes.

“What?” I said with a soft chuckle

“Nothing, I just didn’t want to be involved in this. I don’t like where all this is going. The guy just sounds…. Uh…” She tried to say.

“Thuggish? Rich? I know right. It’s going to be exciting” I said to her, and she just looked at me continuing to fold her clothes.

We spent the afternoon cleaning the housing before we took a shower. Time was almost close for me to meet with the new guy, I didn’t even get his name.

I took time bathing and relaxing before getting dressed; I wore a black short dress with a black blazer and some high-heeled sandals.

I decided to let my brown big curled hair down as checked myself in the mirror, after I relaxing was satisfied with my look, I grabbed my bag and went to check on Yvonne, she always took long to get ready.

“Knock, knock” I said before entering her room

“Come.” She answered, but I was already inside her room

“Oh, my god! What are you wearing?” I questioned her. She was wearing skinny jeans and a tank top,

“No, no, you will not wear this. You better find something else; I am not going with someone who is dressed like this,” I said to her and she smiled briefly at me, reluctantly shaking her head.

“of course not. Let’s get you changed into something else” I said rushing to get a dress from wardrobe, I picked a royal blue backless dress was above her knees.

“What do you think?” I questioned her, ushering her with my chin to look in the mirror as she turned around shaking her head.

“No! No, Non, no” she said shaking her head as she turned to look at me

“What? It’s the perfect thing, wear this and I can assure you no man will resist you” I mentioned to Zoe, we were trying to get a dress for her to wear to a work party but she had no sense of fashion.

“I am not wearing this I look terrible! I look like some…” She wanted to say but stopped midway when my phone rang,

“We should get going… his here” I said to her as she shook her head resisting to come out like this/

“Please, we are getting late” I said to her as she sighed heavily

“You owe me for this” She said, pointing at me with her finger as I dialed back the number for the guy whom we were going out with.

“I am downstairs.” He said to me through the phone,

“Okay, I am on my way” I said to him before cutting his line; we made our way downstairs, the two of us and Yvonne just kept on complaining

When we got downstairs, he was already standing outside the car with his hands in his pockets.

“Good evening” I said to him as he smiled at me brightly

“Wow, you look beautiful” He said to me as I lowered my head smiling like a fool

“Thank you. Please meet my cousin Yvonne, this is…” I wanted to introduce him, but I didn’t know his name.

“Lincoln. Nice to meet you” He said to her, extending his hand to her. She paused as their eyes met as she took in his hand. I looked at her then back at him and she quickly removed her hand.

“We should get going.” He said to me going to open the door for me as I sighed heavily before getting in the car.

I didn’t know that this night was the beginning of many things in my life.

“What are you ladies taking?” He questioned us as soon as we got to the table in the club. It was a VIP club that usually people didn’t go to if they had no cards.

“I will any of their best wines,” I said to him as he turned to Yvonne.

“I will have a non-alcoholic cocktail” She said, and he chuckled looking at her

“What? On a night like tonight? Of course, not… If you don’t mind, can I get you the vodka Martini? You will love it,” He said to her, and she nodded her head with a smile.

He ordered, and we started drinking. Throughout the night the two of them would chat and it just made me feel so uncomfortable.

“Excuse me, I will be back,” I said to them

“Wait, where are you going?” She questioned me as I smiled at her nodding my head, “The loo… I will be back” I said to her carrying my purse and making my way to the loo.

I went in the toilet, relieved myself, and went to check myself in the mirror.

I looked at myself in the mirror, smiling widely; I was an exquisite woman who had achieved a lot for herself, but it just never worked with men.

Look at my boyfriend I just saw him walk in the club with another woman but I didn’t even flinch, my cousin is trying to seduce the man I am interested in and it didn’t hurt.

I quickly fixed my makeup before walking out, I almost approached the table when I saw Yvonne and Lincoln making out.

“Wow! Guess they couldn’t wait” I said to myself before turning to leave. How was I going to get home? > I had left my car back home.

I walked outside and inhaled heavily as I looked at the carpark, I couldn’t believe what I saw but it was fine as long as they felt something for each other.

I walked towards the road so I could find a cab for myself. “Don’t you think it’s too late to be walking home?” I heard someone say behind me, making me stop in my tracks as I turned to look at him.

“And who are you?” I questioned him.

“Hello? Name is Lucas,” He said to me.

I swallowed hard, not sure how to respond. He was a god; he had the perfect eyes, the perfect body and the perfect voice. He was like the Hercules.
