Jax

The moment the blindfold came off, I gasped, trying to catch my breath.

I looked around and brought my hand to my face to rub my blurry eyes.

“Fuck,” I blurted when I realized I wasn’t anywhere away from the Devil.

I was still with his men. Or actually, his man. The young man with shabby hair whom I can actually recall as Harren looked at me as another broad-chested asshole dragged me to him.

‎“Get your hands off me! I can walk.”

His grip tightened. “Don’t make me hurt you.” The chill of his tone iced over my resolve.

“Are you deaf???” I hollered. “I said I can walk.”

‎I stumbled without the balance of my arms, throwing a dirty look over my shoulder at him.

This particular guard has been taking orders from Harren or whatever his name is. The man was bulky across the shoulders with neatly slicked-back brown hair.

“I’ll take it from here,” Harren said, and stretched his hands out. I ignored it, looking at his face.

“This way, Jax.”

“Where are you taking me to?”

“You’ll see.”

Without waiting for me, he walked away and I followed behind him like a stubborn child.

I swallowed hard at what came to view— a chandelier bigger than my bedroom overhead. ‎Gold light spilled from the chandelier shaped like frozen fire.

The atmosphere thickened the moment we walked in and my pulse quickened.

It wasn’t exactly from fear, but from the sense that this was a place where control lived.

‎“What am I doing here?” I asked, trying again with a question he hadn’t answered before.

Harren huffed an exasperated sigh and moved closer but I stepped back. ‎“Don’t fucking touch me,” I hissed.

My wrist still hurts from where the other dude held me.

 “Go in.”

“What?” Is there some other room inside this one?

“Don’t let me repeat myself.”

“Fine, okay. I’ll walk!”

I took five strides and ‎there he was.

Charles Wade.

My stomach dropped to my toes but I swallowed hard.

He was sitting right there and a blonde knelt right in front of him like she was worshipping his dumbass.

“You wanted to see me,” I blurted. “What do you want?”

He scoffed. “Straight to the point, I see.”

I looked at the blonde again and then back at him. “Yes. I don’t like to beat around the bush.”

“Others call it foreplay,” he teased and his eyes narrowed slightly. “You’re not one of those, are you?

“Oh, what gave me away? The fact that I’m not kneeling at your feet or the fact that I still have a functioning brain?”

“Careful,” he snapped. “That mouth might get you in trouble.”

“Let me go. Nobody wanted me.”

“Oh yes, nobody. But I bought you.”

“And I don’t know why you’d do that. Don’t you have something you want to use your money for? Maybe change her wardrobe?” I added, looking at the blonde who was barely in any clothes.

“Careful.”

“I’m not scared of you.”

“You should be.” He paused. “You know? I asked for you to watch me fuck my hoes but there’s been a change of plan. I’ll watch.”

“Watch what?”

“You.”

I paused. I could barely understand what he was saying but then he clicked his fingers, and the blonde actually stood up and walked away.

The door closed behind her and I realized it was just the two of us.

“Don’t make it any harder.”

“Charles.”

“Master,” he corrected.

“What??” I said with a small laugh. “I mean, I’m not one of those fucking girls who’d do that shit with you.”

“Maybe not.”

He took one step forward, slow but deliberate, then another, his eyes never leaving mine.

Each step seemed to have a message but as he closed the distance between us, I retreated.

One step back.

Then another.

“Why am I here????”

“You said it yourself. Nobody wants you. Not your father, not your sister, and certainly not my investors. You’re worthless. A slut who knows no love.”

“That’s a fucking lie! I have a loving family, asshole.”

“Don’t talk back to me again or you won’t like the way I react.” He’s so calm, it pisses me off.

“Let’s get one thing straight, Jax—you’re not here because your sister is pregnant. I paid her to send your worthless ass to me.”

In a split second, I raised my hand and slapped him across the face so hard, pain burst over my palm and shot down my arm.

I was breathing hard now. I could feel a rush of anger taking over me and I just needed to release it. This was the only solution my brain came up with but now… I’ve just realized it could cost me my life.

Charles’ eyes darkened and a muscle ticked under his stubbled jaw. I had expected him to grab me and smash my head against the wall. To strangle me until I was no longer breathing but instead, his hands reached for my chin and lifted it. “I kill for fun, Jax… do not engage me.”

I gulped down the lump in my throat unsure of what my fate was.

“No one can save you from me.” It wasn’t an empty threat and I could see it in the way his eyes darkened.

There were so many voices in my head… warning me… pushing me and just like that, I made a move.

I lunged forward, bolting in the only direction that seemed closest. I kept going but I didn't get far.

A sharp yank jerked me back so violently my breath snapped in my throat.

He had my leg.

‎"You don’t listen.”

I gasped.

‎He grabbed my leg, dragging me back until I was in front of him, panting hard.

His hand went to his side, fingers curling around a gun.

Click.

The sound cracked through the air.

“I’m sorry,” I gasped, the words tumbling out before I could think.

His gaze didn’t soften. “Again.”

I swallowed hard. “I.. I'm sorry.”

‎“Good,” he admonished. “Now stand up and

‎strip.”

“What?”

He reached out a hand to help me stand, but I recoiled from it, standing on my own.

“Do not make me hurt you,” he repeated. The cool hardness of the gun went down my body and he stopped right between my legs.

I stiffened, holding back a whimper. ‎“What are you doing?”

There was a fucking gun between my legs, hard and cool.

Every nerve in my body went rigid, my thoughts scattering like broken glass.

Charles moved his hands until the cold steel was brushing over my mound. I gasped, sealing my legs together.

“Ride. I want to watch.”

  • I Want Her Bare, Always   Chapter 149

Jaxen The drive across the city was strangely quiet. Hazel didn't pressure me into talking again after everything I'd told her at the restaurant, and honestly, I appreciated it. My head already felt heavy enough without having to explain things I barely understood myself. She simply kept both hands on the steering wheel, humming softly to whatever song was playing on the radio while I stared out of the passenger window. The streets looked normal—people crossing roads, couples laughing together, children chasing each other along sidewalks—but I couldn't remember the last time my own life had looked anything close to normal. It was almost painful watching everyone else live so freely while I felt like I had spent months running from one disaster straight into another. After nearly twenty minutes, Hazel slowed the car in front of a modest apartment building tucked away on a quiet street. There was nothing particularly special about it. No expensive gates, no security guards standing out

  • I Want Her Bare, Always   Chapter 148

JaxenWalking into the restaurant almost felt unreal. For the first time in what seemed like forever, I wasn't surrounded by armed guards, abandoned warehouses, secret hideouts, or people speaking in riddles about my past. Instead, there was soft music playing through hidden speakers, the smell of fresh coffee mixed with baked bread, and ordinary people having ordinary conversations. I had forgotten what normal looked like. It felt strange... almost foreign. I stood by the entrance for a second, scanning the room until I spotted Hazel waving both hands at me from a table near the window. The moment our eyes met, the huge grin on her face made me smile despite everything weighing on my shoulders. The second I reached the table, Hazel stood up and wrapped both arms around me so tightly I almost lost my balance. She made it look like I had previously been declared brain dead, and only just made a miraculous recovery. She held onto me for several seconds before finally pulling away, thoug

  • I Want Her Bare, Always   Chapter 147

Charles Everything's just unraveling at the wrong time! The club was louder than I remembered. Music pounded through the walls, colorful lights flashed across the room, and people danced as though they didn't have a single problem waiting for them outside. Laughter rose from every corner while waiters moved between tables carrying expensive bottles and overflowing glasses.Brad and I sat inside one of the private booths overlooking the dance floor, but unlike everyone else in the building, neither of us looked interested in having fun. A glass of whiskey sat untouched in front of me as my thoughts wandered from Jax to Viktor, then to Jackson and every secret that seemed determined to destroy whatever peace I had left.Brad noticed before I even spoke. Ever since surviving the shooting, he insisted he was back to normal, even though his movements occasionally reminded me otherwise. Still, he carried himself with the same confidence as always, leaning comfortably against the leather se

  • I Want Her Bare, Always   Chapter 146

Jax The room became painfully quiet after Viktor's last words, and for the first time in what felt like forever, I couldn't think of a sarcastic response. My mind kept circling the same questions without finding a single answer. Siblings? Biological parents? More secrets Charles didn't know? It all sounded too ridiculous to believe, yet something about the confidence in Viktor's voice made it difficult to dismiss everything as another manipulation.I folded my arms tightly across my chest and began pacing the room again, hoping the movement would somehow untangle the mess inside my head. Instead, it only made the silence louder, and Viktor didn't interrupt me once. He simply watched, almost as though he understood that I was fighting with myself more than I was fighting with him.Just as I was about to demand that he either prove everything he had said or stop wasting my time, the heavy warehouse door opened. A man dressed in a black suit walked inside carrying a weathered brown pack

  • I Want Her Bare, Always   Chapter 145

JaxenI marched straight toward the exit without looking back, my heartbeat pounding louder with every step I took. I had heard enough for one day, and if one more person claimed to know something about my life that I didn't, I was going to lose whatever little sanity I still had left. My hand reached for the metal handle, but the moment I pulled it, the door refused to move. I frowned and pulled harder, convinced it had only gotten stuck. It still didn't budge. Letting out an irritated breath, I rattled it a few more times before finally noticing the large guard standing a few feet away, watching me with an expression that was neither hostile nor welcoming."Excuse me," I called, forcing a polite smile that I definitely didn't feel. "Can you open the door?"The man straightened slightly before shaking his head. "I'm afraid I can't."I blinked. "You... can't?""No, ma'am."I pointed at the door. "There's a lock.""Yes.""You have the key.""Yes.""So open it."The guard folded his han

  • I Want Her Bare, Always   Chapter 144

Jax I was still glaring at Viktor as though my eyes alone could set him on fire when Damiano stepped between us and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. He looked like a man trying to diffuse a bomb, which was funny considering he had personally driven me to the bomb in the first place."Don't look at me like that," he said, letting out a small breath as he shoved his hands into his pockets. "You make it seem like I kidnapped you.""You practically did," I replied immediately, folding my arms tightly across my chest. "I asked you to take me home, Damiano. Home. Not to some dusty warehouse where a billionaire suddenly develops feelings and starts confessing them like he's in a romantic comedy."Damiano snorted and briefly looked away. "To be fair, I didn't know he'd say that.""Really?""Really.""You expect me to believe that?""No.""Good."The corner of his mouth twitched upward, but his expression softened moments later as he glanced toward Viktor and then looked back at me."Ju
