LOGINI was shocked, to say the least. So because of this thing called a "mate", my mom got left heart broken and alone with me?
"It turns out that that very same day I went to your mother, she was coming to me to tell me about you. She never got the chance to because I went first to tell her about everything that was going on. I'm not gonna lie, I can understand why she didn't tell me, but at the same time, I really wish she did. I've missed out on 12 whole years of your life because she didn't say anything." He was frowning as if he were angry about the situation. I'm a little upset about the revelation as well, but he has no room to be angry with her. "I don't blame her at all. You just got finished telling me that you told her just moments before that for your entire relationship with her, you had been lying about who you are. Then told her you found your soulmate and that you're basically a king that needs to watch over his people and told her you couldn't decide who you loved more. If that was me, I wouldn't have said anything either. So you really don't have a leg to stand on." He stared at me baffled by my words. I shrugged. "Too blunt?" He scoffed and chuckled. "Yeaaaa. You're definitely Minnie's daughter." We sat in silence for awhile. "Look. To be honest, I'm not sure what's gonna happen here, but what I do know is that I don't want to be hurt. I'm not here to start or cause trouble. If you plan on not sticking around, just drop me off back home. My aunt is more than capable of taking care of me. We can pretend none of this even happened and go about our lives as strangers. Besides, you said it yourself, I don't even have a wolf. So there's no need for me to be here." He looked at me confused. "What are you talking about? You're my daughter. I wouldn't leave-" "I'm sure you've said those same words to my mother and we both know what happened. You left. I can't bare losing another parent, so if you don't plan on being one to me, just let me go. I... I can't handle that right now." Tears poured down my face again, hot and burning. My eyes never leaving his, so he knew I meant every word. I can't even imagine having another parent or anyone other than my mom. I don't know if anyone could ever know and love me the way she did. But what scares me the most is the idea that he doesn't even wanna be my dad. He didn't even try to fight for mom. Why would he fight for me? I couldn't bare the thought. He grabbed my hand into his two massive ones and kept a steady heated gaze fixed on me. "Kwenali Emerie Moore. Though you do not have my last name, you are mine. I will not ever let you go. You are not going anywhere, lest without me. I have missed 12 years of your short, young life and I am so sorry that I did. But I'm here now. Let me be here for you now. Please allow me to be the father I wasn't able to be. I wasn't there for the first half of your life. Let me be there for the rest." I seen and felt the sincerity in his words and with it, my dam broke. I sobbed. My dad finally wrapped me up in his arms, sat me on his lap and let me cry. I have no idea how long I cried for. Once I was finally calm, I tried to get off his lap but he held me hostage in his arms. I looked up at him confused but he just smiled at me. I let it go and snuggled in further. I was still wearing my mom's hoodie that held her scent. It felt as if I was being comforted by both my parents... a dream that will never have a reality. But I'll enjoy this substitute, for now. That's when the man named Dr. Mason comes back into my room. He's handsome too, but a lot leaner than my dad is but just as tall. He has long red hair pulled into a low ponytail drapped over his shoulder. He wore a white lab coat with a stethoscope around his neck. He wore a kind smile and seemed a bit older than my dad. I, again tried to get off my dad's lap but he wasn't having it. "You can sit here while he asks you some questions." I looked up at my dad then over to the doctor. He smiled. "Yes. You may stay where you are. May I know the name of this beautiful little girl." I blushed and smiled at him. He had a calming aura as well, and he smelled of jasmine and fresh water. I liked being around him. "My name is Kwenali but call me Kwen." His smile widened. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Dr. Mason and your father here wanted me to check in on you. You were asleep for a long time and it worried him. Are you ok?" I nodded my head. "Yes. I'm ok now. I haven't been able to get much sleep because I was looking after my mama. But now she gone. I was also crying alot, so I was probably just mentally and emotionally exhausted." Both Dr. Mason and my dad looked at me like I said something crazy. "You are quite smart I see. I wouldn't have expected you to say that to me." I smiled brightly. "I'm very smart. I'm going to college soon." "Oh really? Well you do have a few more years before that." I frowned and shook my head. "No, I don't. I start this fall. We'll, actually I don't know how I'll do that since I'm so far away from home." I just realized that I'm nowhere near the university I picked to go to school. A few universities wanted me in their medical programs because my entrance exams were top ranked. Now I don't even know if I'll be able to go to my first pick. Once I came out of my thoughts, I noticed the doc and my dad staring at me. "What?" "Umm. Are you serious about going to college in the fall. You're 12?" My dad questioned looking skeptical. "Yeah I'm serious. I graduated high-school right before mommy passed away. She couldn't see me walk in person, but auntie set her up with a laptop, and she recorded the whole thing so Mommy could see it. Before that, I took about 5 different entrance exams for college so I could go to med school. I want to become a doctor so I never have to watch a person I love fade away like that ever again... or anyone for that matter. All 5 schools accepted me, but I chose my favorite. I'm supposed to be starting in late August." They both were silent. The doctor began to chuckle lightly. "Well, well alpha. It seems your daughter is highly intelligent. I would've never saw this coming." My dad looked at me in surprise and then slowly smiled, carrasing my check with his finger. "It seems my daughter is a little genius. Congratulations, little one. I'm very proud of you." I smiled back at him. "Thank you." We stared at each other for a little while longer. "I have my diploma and my acceptance letters here with me if you want to verify it. But we can also call my aunt later and let her know. Maybe she'll know how to deal with the school thing." My dad nodded. "Ok. Well talk about that later." "Um, Kwen?" I turned to meet the doctor's gaze. "Can you tell me how your hair became silver?" I shrugged. "I grayed early?" I snickered at my own joke and Dr. Mason smiled. "When did it change colors?" I frowned at him confused by his question. "What do you mean by changed colors. I was born with Silver hair." His eyes nearly popped outta of his head and I felt my father's hands tighten around me. What's the problem? It's just gray hair. Everyone's hair will turn this color when they get older. I just so happened to skip a couple of steps. "I-I see. Do you have any baby pictures of you that I can see later. Right now, I'm gonna give you a small check-up, ok?" I nodded my head and allowed the check up to happened. We talked all through the examine and by the end of it, I was tired all over again. The doc and my dad both left me alone to sleep, and once again, I was off into dream land.Nina's POV: Flashback: 22 years ago... I woke up feeling weird. My eyes were opened but everything was blurry, and the voices around me, muffled. I realized I was sitting in a chair and I was directly across from someone. I held my head, trying to focus, when all of a sudden, my arm was snatched up and I was yanked from my seat. "NINA!!" I jumped at the force behind my named being called by my father and the grip he had on my tiny, thin arm. Our eyes met. "WAKE UP AND FOCUS!!" He yelled. "DON'T SPEAK TO HER THAT WAY, SEVERIN!!" My eyes and mind began to finally function. I looked back over to the person in front of me, and I went pale. She was bound to a old wooden chair, chained and guarded on either side. I looked around, not sure where I was or how I even got here. My shaky voice came out in a tiny whisper, tears forming in my eyes. "Queen Feronia?" Her sharp gaze left my father before it softened as she looked at me. "Hello, darling." She smiled. I tried so hard not to
Trackers POV: "Is everything set?" "Yeah. They wanted us to wait till it was closer to 11pm, but we'll just go with the best opening." I shook my head. "They said the shifts changes at 10:50pm, so 11 is our best bet, or maybe a little after." My partner nodded. I recieved a text from my alpha. Message: Alpha: My men are about 30 mins out. They will be on foot in 15. At that point, you get your future Luna or don't bother returning. Me: Yes, alpha. End of messages. I showed my partner what was said, and he nodded. Suddenly, the doors to our cell were opened. We walked out into the circle that they had us hung from, watching Lucius walk towards us. His arms were folded behind his arms, and he held a cool smile on his face. "Everything is ready on our in. It is almost time. Are your people here?" Lucius asked. "Almost.""Almost needs to be now." He replied, sighing. "Do you know where you're going?" My partner and I nodded. "There's a hidden tunnel through the double doo
Seth's POV:I stood by with a glass in hand, watching the horrendous show of my king dancing with such a lowly creature. To top it off, my son decided to make of show of tangoing with that woman as well. The way in which they interacted with one another, whispers began to circulate. I slowly strode around the room, my eyes fixated on the duo. "They look rather good together.""Who is that human?""Do she have some sort of relationship with the king?"I listened with great irritation to the conversations that began to spin around the rumor mill. My fingers tightened around the thin glass stem that sat between them. Lucius looked a little too chummy with the girl for my liking. I looked over. Prince Cersai stood as still as a statue, never allowing his gaze to slip away from them, arms tight around himself. I frowned. Why even allow this to happen? My gaze filtered up to the king and princess. They watched the duo dance as well, casually talking, all while keeping a lazy eye on my son.
Connor's POV:Anxiously, I waited. Everything was finally coming together, but my anxiety won't ease until I have my prize in my hands. It all seemed to be happening quickly, which gave me pause. I received a call from my trackers yesterday night, and it ended with a video call from someone very unexpected.Flashback...I was in my office late, going over a few particulars. I was slowly trying to expand my territory. After giving up a piece of my land all those years ago in order to have a claw in Blackcresent, I was beginning to feel as though I gave it up for nothing. That was until I saw her. From that moment, all my future endeavors revolved around and included her. I'm a man that can wait, especially when in that patience my reward is great. A knock came from my office door. I responded haphazardly, never tearing my gaze from the papers on my desk."Come in."I heard the door creak open. Footsteps approached my desk. I knew it was my beta. Only he has the authorization to interru
Kwen's POV:My gaze slipped away from the girl I've come to know as Nina, back to the king. He looked down at me, concerned written all over his face. I took a deep breath."I don't believe those families dabbled with dark magic. I would smell it, but they don't smell clean. That's the only way I can put it for now."Julian nodded, not looking around anymore. Neither of us wanted to draw attention. We continued to sway for a bit longer. As we moved, a faint smile found its way to my lips."What's the smile for?"Julian asked, mirroring my joy. I broke out into a smile, looking up at him."I never thought I'd get a dance like this.""A dance like what?"He asked. My eyes found their way to my dad, my smile falling some."When I was meant to be hidden away from the world, if there was some sort of gathering at the pack house, I would sneak to the hall, usually from the outside garden, and watch everyone inside. People would join hands and dance around. It was all so elegant. Beautiful.
Kwen's POV:It took a bit, but I was finally ready to head to the gathering. The women looked at me in awe, gasping and clutching imaginary pearls."You are incredibly stunning!"One gasped out, as the other 2 nodded their heads in agreement. I smiled, rising to my feet. I walked over to the full body mirror, and was shocked myself. I looked damn goodt!!"Damn."I whispered out. The women giggled. One scurried behind me and began pushing me towards the door."Go. Go! You're already late as is.""Have fun."The last one said to me, wiggling her brows. I laughed as I exited. I walked the halls and began to head towards where the gathering was meant to be held. I noticed people were still filtering in. I ducked off behind a wall, peeking round the corner. I saw many faces. One thing I can definitely give to these supernatural beings, they be sexy as fuck!! I mean, I love a good beast, all brute and bulky. But some of these lean, muscular men, with sharp and soft features, and hair silkie
Kwen's POV:I need people to stop trying me. I really am a nice person, but I'm always looking like the asshole."Told ya she was badass."I heard one of the warriors say to Lamar as they stood before us. I chuckled. I looked Lamar in the eye and he seemed so bothered by me. I don't know why... nev
Miza's POV:I felt her energy shift once the words fell from my lips. I had to finish all of what I was saying, before I wouldn't get the chance. I raised my hands up."WAIT! Before you criticize me, please let me explain."I begged. Her eyes sparkled a golden color that let me know that she was on
Cersai's POV:I went to bed feeling much more at peace and relaxed than I've been in I don't know how long. My body refused to relinquish the memory of Kwen that lingered on my body. My hands vibrated, wanting to touch her again, and my mind raced, still reeling from the soft moans that left her li
Gin's POV:"What will we do if someone comes looking for her? Her wounds are serious, which means whoever did it was trying to kill her."My mate said, matter-of-factly. I looked at her. Her clear blue eyes always pierced my soul. Her long, straight, white hair was pulled back into a high ponytail,
