MasukEverything seems so bright that it hurts trying to open my eyes.seems Heaven is really bright as they say.
“How are you feeling?” a voice said. I know that voice.
it’s Travis. Guess Travis is here too, huh.
Wait! What’s Travis doing here? Am I alive?
“Uhhguhh…” a groan escaped my throat as I tried to assess the whole situation. My head hurts like hell.
“Are you okay, man?” Travis asked again, searching me with those beady eyes of his.
I could see him clearly now. Guess I survived after all.
“Where am I?” I asked, trying to sit upright.
“Where else? The hospital,” he replied as he assisted me in sitting up, putting a pillow behind my back as support.
He felt my forehead and asked,
“How are you feeling now? Should I get the doctor?”
“I’m fine. Hold on a bit… what happened? The last thing I remember was… was…” I stuttered.
No way!
Suddenly, everything came rushing into my consciousness. The affair, the rain, and the accident.
I couldn’t be back in time, right?
“Travis, what year are we? What’s today’s date?” I panicked and asked, eyes wide open from shock.
“It’s 13th… 13th of September, 2025. What’s wrong?” he asked worriedly.
Oh, I guess not. I’m still in the present.
“Hmm… nothing,” I sighed disappointedly.
It would have been interesting if I were given a second chance.
His once worried-looking face was now filled with disdain as he looked at me as if I had lost it.
“C’mon, bro, you really need to stop watching those anime and shit. Don’t tell me you thought you isekai’d or whatnot,” he said, disgust laced in his voice.
“You really didn’t think that shit happened, did you?” he repeated.
“No, I didn’t,” I answered subtly, avoiding his gaze.
I sighed and lay back down on the bed as reality finally dawned on me.
How nice would it have been if I had really gone back in time, as it usually happens in anime and movies.
I would have been able to fix everything and go back to being happy.
The door swung open and Sonya emerged from it. She suddenly rushed to my bedside, worriedly searching my whole body for bandages.
“It’s okay. He’s not that hurt… the car didn’t hit him, he fainted before that…” Travis assured her.
“My God… I was so scared when you called and said Percy was in the hospital,” she sighed in relief.
I couldn’t even say a word. The moment I locked gaze with hers, the image of her face filled with ecstasy from last night just kept flashing through my head. I sat there watching her face as she spouted some unrecognizable sounds, talking to Travis while I was consumed with memories of last night. It was obvious she was worried about me. Guess she still likes me after all.
“Percy? What’s wrong… why are you crying?” she panicked.
“Hmm? I’m fine.” I sniffled and wiped the tears with the back of my hand. I didn’t even realize I was crying already.
“Are you really fine?” Travis asked. He seemed really worried about me, and it felt strangely comforting.
“Oh! I almost forgot… Percy, your mum called last night.”
“Mum? Don’t tell me you called her because of this…” I gasped in disbelief.
“Relax~ if I did, your whole family would be here by now with ‘get well soon’ cards and flowers for their pretty baby boy,” he teased.
“Quit the tease and tell me why she called,” I snapped at him.
“What else than to check up on you… I told her you were in the bathroom.” He smirked, revealing his side dimples.
“Good,” I breathed. I can’t have my mum finding out I almost got hit by a car.
Sonya moved, crouching down to my side. She held my hand and said,
“Percy, I’m so sorry I couldn’t meet up for our date yesterday. My mum called, saying my elder sister was back in the country, so I had to hurry back home. Okay?”
She lied to me.
“Okay. It’s all good,” I assured her with a weak smile.
She just lied to me. I suddenly could feel hot tears gathering at the back of my eyes, ready to gush down like a waterfall, but I struggled to hold them back. I can’t have Sonya seeing me cry for the second time today.
“I’ll make it up to you next time, okay?” she promised.
“Okay,” I nodded, smiled, and gave her a light kiss on her forehead.
She stood up and said, “I should leave now. I’m afraid I’m running late for rehearsals.”
“Okay, bye,” I waved at her.
“Bye,” she waved back and left.
Immediately after she left, I stood up from the bed, leaving Travis with a shocked look on his face.
“Hey! Take it easy, what’s wrong?” he asked as he also stood up from the chair he’d been sitting on since I woke up.
“I need to go,” I answered.
“Go where? Are you crazy?! You’re in the hospital. You can’t just leave because you want to?” He was obviously getting worked up now as he moved, trying to block my path.
“Cool down, hothead. I meant you should go get the doctor. I believe I’m fine now,” I assured him.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
He stepped closer and eyed me suspiciously.
“What’s going on with you and Sonya? I mean, you were found unconscious close to her apartment when you left me heading for a date, right?”
Whoa. He figured it out in a few minutes. He seems to be smart in times like this.
“Believe me when I say I’m fine, okay. Just go get me discharged. I’m craving a cold shower,” I said as I sat back down on the bed.
“Okay.” He seemed relented as he finally left to get the doctor. Honestly, I’m really becoming uncomfortable in these hospital striped pajamas I’ve been wearing since yesterday.
Now I’ve made up my mind what I would do. I can’t break up with Sonya. I still love her, and it’s clear she still loves me too.
Something must have gone wrong somewhere to let that bastard come between us. I need to fix everything.
I ain’t giving up. Never. I would find that bastard and ask him what his deal is.
I spotted Sonya's blue Mercedes C300 from afar and waited for her to pull up into the parking space in front of her department block you.She got out of the car, picked up her purse, and headed toward the entrance.Wearing a deep blue halter-neck dress that stopped just above her pretty knees."Sonya!"I grabbed her right hand, stopping her from getting any further away from me.She flinched and turned. When she saw it was me, her expression softened, and a small smile appeared on her lips."Hi, Percy. I didn't see you there," she said, taking my hand."Yeah. You didn't," I replied flatly. Her smile faded when I didn't return it.A few seconds of silence passed between us.We just stared at each other."Why are you avoiding me?""I'm not avoiding you.""Then what are you trying to do?"As much as I wanted her to say something meaningful, deep down, I knew there was nothing she could say to excuse the fact that she was cheating on me.She lied to me.Ignored me.Made me do something I'
“It seems like you already met him, Rowen.” My uncle glanced between us. “Yeah. sort of…” I confirmed. Tapping my right foot slowly. Russell was sweating uncomfortablely, as he shook hands with me. His eyes darted back and forth, avoiding my gaze. It was oddly satisfying to watch. My uncle soon excused himself from the conversation. His petite wife hurried after him like a child trying to keep up. She had a few wrinkles and looked much older than her husband. The last time I saw her was on the day I departed for Italy. She had looked at me with pity, yet didn't say a word. Grandfather had abandoned me. My grieving father wouldn't even look at me twice. She was the only one who tried to treat me right, and offered to see me off to the airport. But then, she acted like she was scared. As if some one might scold her for doing it. A total hypocrite. I turned to speak to Russell, but he'd already disappeared…Leaving me alone with my cousin, Ruby. She was st
Rowen's POV The moment I entered the room, everyone froze. Each of them stared at me as though they'd seen a ghost. I took the empty seat beside a teenage girl who was gawking at me with her mouth hanging open. I smiled at her, and she blushed. She must be Ruby Regnald—my uncle's daughter. Almost everyone was present. I knew their names, age, relationship and positions of everyone seated there. They were my biological family—the Regnalds. At the head of the table, a blond man with piercing blue eyes had his gaze fixed on me. He was my father. Beside him sat his twin brother, Uncle Richard. They looked exactly as they had eleven years ago. "Mr. Rowen. Glad to have you back." "Haha. Mr..." I shook his hand. "Daniel. Daniel Krush." I nodded and sat down. "Now that he is here, I'll begin," Mr. Krush said, addressing the rest of the family. He pulled out the blue file containing my grandfather's notarized will and began to read. I had seen that exact file a
PERCY'S POV. I ran straight towards the hotel’s entrance door, without glancing back, not even for a second. The security men watched me as I whisked past them, struggling to catch my breath. One of them turned to look at me for a while before averting his gaze. He seem to be concerned about me but changed his mind. Of course, my clothes were disheveled and I was running like I saw a ghost in broad daylight. I stopped running once I was outside the hotel. Something prompted me to go back and beg those security men for help, but I waved aside the dumb thought. What could they possibly do? I mean, the police didn't even take me seriously. Even worse, what if they work for him? “Ahh shit!” I groaned from the frustration. The street was oddly quiet, except for a few luxurious cars coming out from the parking lot. At this point, can I even call it an assault when I willingly walked in there last night? I really don't want to sleep with him again. Last night left
ROWEN'S POV. Now, let's see, what kind of face would he make? I eyed him intently, as I watched the colour drain from his pretty face within seconds. It really baffles me how fast his expressions change. A few minutes ago he was embarrassed, then he became angry. Now he's… shocked? “No… No way…” his voice was low as he gripped the invitation card tightly. What a disappointment. I thought he would raise his voice or even try to hit me. Maybe this isn’t enough to reel him into the net. But he did come here for her, so he should be willing to go this far though. I mean, people do anything for their loved ones right? “Why… Why are you doing this to me?” he sobbed. I tilted my head a bit, watching the tears glisten in his glassy eyes before they streamed down his pale face. He was crying. Not the reaction I was hoping for but it's still enjoyable. Why am I doing this to him? “Hmm. it is fun?” I grinned and raised an eyebrow at him. “What?!” for a second, I
I lay flat on the bed. Staring down into the pair of blue heated eyes, smoldered with lust. The dark room was lit enough for me to see the beads of sweat that shone on his forehead. He pulled my hips closer and continued thrusting two fingers into my asshole. Both of my legs were carefully placed on each of his shoulders, allowing him to get a good view of my rear end. “lift your hips” his voice was low and raspy. I did. Then he kissed my hard, throbbing dick, taking it inside his hot, wet mouth. I couldn’t believe the moans I was hearing were coming out from my own mouth. The amount of pleasure I was getting from him fingering and sucking me off, was insane. It was a whole new level. Totally different from when Travis had jerked me off, back when we went camping in high school. Or when I tried doing it myself. “slow..w down a bit” I breathed. Grabbed his hair. Thrusting my dick into his mouth. The way he was going down on me like he was sucking on a lollipop. I’ve never felt a
The heat that had been coiled up in my stomach all this while suddenly moved, strutting through my legs. It felt as if someone was fanning the flames.“Your face… ugh… it’s making me go crazy,” he growled as he threw his head back in ecstasy. He held me in place with just one hand while the other
I pushed the door open, and the cool air hit me in the face. Taking a shaky step inside, my gaze darted around the place. The place was dark, yet there were recessed lights that didn’t feel like they were there to illuminate so much as to keep me aware of every step I took. There wasn’t much to s
Whispers of “wow” and “they look good together” filled the place as Sonya and Mr. Regnald majestically walked down to a table at the other side of the restaurant. With Sonya wearing a red mini satin dress with black heels to go with her luscious black hair that reflected the restaurant’s lights, Mr
Right there in my dorm room, Dave and I sat on my bed reading the articles and blogs about the Enigmatic family on the net. Though we couldn’t find much, the few we did find had nothing to say about Rowen. Guess Mr. Handsome Rival is an offline person, huh?But belonging to a rich and powerful fami
