LOGIN“We will meet with Killian at a public place to try and make some amends. Then we take her with us as someone’s side piece or something. We would dress her up enough so Killian can’t resist any seduction from her.
Once he asks her name, she tells him.”
“Why would he want to meet with you guys? You just killed his father!”
“That was a secret trade. We were already blackmailing him. Nobody knows who killed him on their side,” says Liam.
“Well, I don’t want to act as a side piece,” I complain.
“No, this could work, Nara. We can’t have him take you home to meet Amary because you would probably be killed. Public would be the safest thing for this too.”
“So where do we do this then? I don’t want to be throwing myself at him in some supermarket.”
Liam scoffs at me and looks at his father.
“What about Ethan?” Mr. Luca asks.
“Too crowded.”
“What’s Lavo?” I ask.
“My nightclub,” Liam says.
“Oh…”
I am pretty impressed. I start to wonder what else he could own.
“Amadeus?” says Liam.
Mr. Luca nods.
“I bet we could get them for tomorrow night too,” Liam says.
“I will make the call.”
“Perfect. Come on, Nara.”
I follow Liam out of the office. He takes us back up the hall a bit and opens another office door.
We walk inside an empty office. It is much less interesting.
“This one is mine,” he says.
“You need to decorate it. It doesn’t feel very welcoming,” I say.
“Jesus Christ. You always have something to complain about.”
“Up until yesterday I didn’t.”
“Just sit down,” he snaps.
I lie back on the sofa in front of his desk.
“What do you think of the plan?”
“I don’t want to seduce Killian. Is there not anything else I can do?”
“You don’t want to, or you don’t know how to?”
“I don’t want to.”
He gives me a suspicious look.
“Don’t tell me you’re a virgin.”
“How about you?”
“Sei serio? I had sex the night before we took you.
Now answer the question!”
Are you serious?
“Oh mio dio! You had your first time? What was it like?!” I mock with a fake accent.
Oh my God!
His face starts to become angry.
“Okay, okay. I’ve done it a lot. I filled a lot of the time that I would be mourning my parents with sex. It was my distraction. I probably fucked a tenth of the guys at my high school.”
“See, now why was that so hard to admit?”
“Because I sound like the thot that everyone perceives me to be.”
“Well, at least that prepared you for what you have to do tomorrow night.”
“But it was all horny teens who got hard at the sight of tits. I haven’t done it with anyone older than me.”
“Well, what do you usually do?”
I take a moment to think of my tricks.
“I walk up to them, I lower my voice and put my face closer to their ear. Then I tell them what I would do to them.”
“And what is that?”
“I say that I would suck their fat cock, and I will ride them with my tight little pu—”
I stop myself from continuing. I just realized who I am saying all of this to.
He is bewildered.
His shocked face breaks out into laughter.
This is so fucking embarrassing, but I can’t shake the amusement I get from his laugh.
He doesn’t sound as pained as he constantly looks.
He makes a fake moan. “Papí… let me suck your fat cock!” he jokes, trying to mimic me.
He won’t stop laughing.
“Say what you want, because it worked every time,” I pout.
He finally calms down a little.
“Santa m****a…” he mumbles, catching his breath and wiping his eyes.
Holy shit…
I wait until he is done laughing.
“Fucking hell. That won’t work, Nara,” he grins.
“That’s why I don’t want to!”
“Well, you need to focus more on touch.
Run your hand down his chest or through his hair. Talking into his ear is good, but you can’t be saying dumb shit like that.”
“Then what do I say?”
“Build up his ego. Ask him why he’s not here with another girl. But if you aren’t actually sleeping with him, then I don’t think you have much else to say.”
“Well, what is in this club?”
He thinks. “We will be in the bar area, not the dance floor. So you can’t start dancing on him.”
“Damn it,” I say.
“Maybe he will be on a couch and you can sit on his lap.
Not like a chair, but straddled on top of him. Then you have to move around a lot so he feels you there. If your clothing is thin enough, you’ll feel him too. He will probably hold onto your waist, or maybe even your ass.”
My heart starts to race a little. I can feel myself getting wet. His deep voice makes me desire what he was saying even more. I do my best to hide what he is causing my body.
“You’ve ground on someone before, right?”
I slowly nod.
“Okay. Then you know the feeling I’m talking about. It’s a very similar one for guys, except they do a lot less work, which drives them insane. It’s definitely one of my favorite things.”
He hesitates before continuing. I guess he didn’t realize how much he was oversharing. He was genuinely just trying to explain the plan to me.
“Maybe after a little while you could kiss him.
Don’t do a heavy make-out. Just kiss him gently.
Make him want more, because he definitely will when you get on top of him.”
I think he sees my eyes wanting this because he suddenly stops what he is saying.
His face changes to a smirk.
“You’re turned on, aren’t you..?”
“No. What makes you think that?” I lie.
He slowly leans back into his chair. There is something about the bottom of his suit jacket lowering beside him that gets to me. It reveals his bulge.
“Why don’t you come practice?” he says, gesturing to his lap.
I look into his eyes, startled. I can’t believe this is happening. I feel myself start to ache.
After a few seconds of silence, he chuckles and sits back up.
“You should go find Nathaniel. He’s going to take you to get more clothes.”
I nod to him and rush out of there. I didn’t want to leave so abruptly, but the tension started to get the best of me.
Nathaniel takes me to the Brookfield Mall.
I’ve only ever been there once with some school friends. I became smarter with my money when I was left alone, so this was pretty strange to me.
We go to shops like Gucci and Club Monaco.
Nothing I buy is under $200.
None of the clothing is anything I would’ve worn before.
“Where do you want to eat?” I ask Nathaniel.
He thinks about it for a second.
“Would you be willing to try Malay food?”
“Yeah!”
“Alright. There’s this place my dad and I went to pretty often. It’s a few blocks away in Little Italy.”
“Alright. What do we do with all of these bags though?”
“We can drop them off at my place before we go.
It’s close.”
“Perfect.”
We arrive at his apartment. It is a good-sized studio, and it is much more decorated than the penthouse. We set our bags down at his door.
“I’m going to use the bathroom quickly.”
I nod to him, then I take a seat on his black leather couch.
My imagination brings me back to the scene Liam had described earlier. I wish I wasn’t so affected by it. Even hours later it gets me hot. I press my legs together for some sort of relief.
“Nara?” Nathaniel says.
He startles me. I must have started to daydream.
“Sorry, I was just thinking.”
“About what?” he says, taking a seat next to me.
“Just something Liam said earlier.”
He nods.
“What is he having you do tomorrow?”
“He thinks the best route is seducing Killian.”
“He’s right.”
I sigh. “You don’t think I could just be friendly?”
“No. You need to at least be dressed slutty. It is so he underestimates you.”
“Oh…”
He parts his lips but changes his mind.
Then he abruptly gets up and walks to his bed. I watch him look through his nightstand until he finally gets what he needs. Then he walks in front of me and holds out his hand.
“What do you think this is?” he asks.
I examine the object he’s presenting. It’s thin, black, and oval-shaped. It’s only about three inches long. His hand is massive compared to this item. It looks like something that could have been brought here by aliens.
“…A vibrator?” I guess.
The last thing I would have expected was for a two-inch blade to swing out of it as he pressed down his index finger.
“You should hold onto this. Nobody will suspect it at all.”
He hands it to me and I start to play with it.
It is exhilarating flipping the blade out on my own.
“Are you sure? I don’t want to take your knife.”
He smirks. “What makes you think it’s my only one?”
I chuckle. He never fails to impress me.
“Now let’s get some food. You will love the roti here.”
He holds the door open for me with a smile. I haven’t seen Nathaniel smile before. His scars and dark eyes are still pained, but the smile?
The smile is gentle.
Daphne's PoVThe first morning after we chose each other felt...Different.Not because the apartment had changed. Not because the city outside our windows suddenly looked brighter. But because my heart was quiet. For months, my mind had been a battlefield.Questions….Doubts."What if?""What if there's someone else? What if I'm missing something?"Now...Nothing.Just peace.I woke slowly to the scent of coffee drifting through the apartment. The other side of the bed was empty.I smiled before I even opened my eyes.Liam.I wrapped one of his oversized hoodies around myself and padded barefoot toward the kitchen. There he was.Standing in gray sweatpants and a black T-shirt, his hair sticking up in every direction as he flipped pancakes with far too much concentration.I leaned against the doorway."You know you're making breakfast like it's brain surgery."Without turning around, he smiled."These pancakes deserve respect.""They're pancakes.""They're our pancakes."I laughed."I stand c
Daphne’s PoVThe apartment was quiet. Not the uncomfortable kind of quiet that begged to be filled, but the peaceful silence that only existed when two people didn’t need words to understand each other.Liam still had his arms around me.His heartbeat was slow against my chest, steady enough that I found myself matching my breathing to it.Neither of us moved.Neither of us wanted to.Eventually, he pulled back just enough to look at me.“You hungry?”I laughed.“That’s your first question?”He shrugged, a small smile appearing.“I always think better after food.”“I’ve noticed.”“And you haven’t eaten.”“How do you know that?”“You get quieter when you’re hungry.”I blinked.“Seriously?”“You also rub your left wrist when you’re tired.”Without thinking, I looked down.My fingers were rubbing my wrist. He chuckled.“Told you.”“I don’t know whether that’s sweet or creepy.”“I’m hoping sweet.”“It depends.”“On what?”“Whether you’re secretly keeping a notebook about me.”His eyes widen
The ride back to the apartment was unusually quiet.Nat kept the music low, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel as the city lights blurred past the windows."You've been smiling for the last ten minutes," he finally said."I have not.""You definitely have."I rolled my eyes, trying and failing to hide the grin tugging at my lips."It was... different.""Good different?"I stared out the window."I don't know."Nat laughed softly."That's the most confusing answer I've ever heard.""Because it is confusing."He nodded as if he understood."I think you're comparing two completely different people."Maybe he was right.Javier had been confident, experienced, effortless. There had never been a moment where he hesitated.Liam...Liam overthought everything. He could spend an hour deciding where we should eat dinner and another apologizing if he thought he'd upset me. He remembered tiny details I had forgotten telling him. He always noticed when I was tired before I admitted it.
"What was so special about me?" I ask, leaning back against the table as I wait for his answer. He pauses for a moment, pulling on his clothes before letting out a quiet sigh."I don't really know," he admits. "You're mature for your age, but there's still something youthful about you. You're smart. You're not fragile. And you're not scared."I raise an eyebrow."I get scared.""Sometimes," he says with a small smile. "But when it matters, you don't run. You get nervous, sure, but you're always prepared."A smile tugs at my lips, though he doesn't notice. He's too busy reaching for his turtleneck."I see why Liam likes you so much."The mention of Liam makes guilt twist in my stomach."Sorry about that again..."He waves the apology away."Don't be. It was interesting."I laugh softly and begin fixing my dress."So you'd maybe want to do this another time?"His footsteps move closer."Sure."I feel him gently zip up my dress."I won't be in New York as often," he continues, "but whene
I heard the door open, but I'm a bit taken back by who enters. Liam closes it behind him and comes over to me."Hey love." He grins."Hi...""Are you ok? I saw you absolutely owning my father." He jokes."Yeah I'm all good."He walks over and holds onto my hands in my lap."So, how does it feel to be fucking the Boss of the Italian mob?"I smile and look up at him. He has that look in his eyes. Surely enough, he kisses me intensely.I guess he doesn't know that Javier will be here any second. I try to pull away, but of course he doesn't let me. The door opens before I can warn him. At least that gets him to stop and turn around."Oh..." Liam mumbles."How long has this been going on?" Javier asks."A long time..." I admit."And when I was at your place?""I fucked her in that boxing ring the second you left." Liam says proudly. I wish he didn't put it like that, but strangely enough, I just want him more."So he knew?" He asks me.I stood up and walk closer to him."I'm sorry if you a
Many people laugh, but I'm just a little confused. I have no idea what he's about to say."But that phrase, it is embedded deeper in our history than you'd think. Julius Caesar...historic Roman born dictator who lead for five years before his assassination in 44 BC. You're probably wondering what this has to do with anything, because of course this was centuries ago... But perfidy, however, has been strategy for just as long."I actually know that word. It means betrayal..."You see, Julius Caesar was stabbed twenty three times by his own senators. You can't even begin to fathom the impression that degree of disloyalty would leave on you, especially on your death bed."Hayes looks at me, stunned, "Have you heard this?" He whispers.I slowly shake my head. I don't have to express how concerned I am for him to tell.I check out the table full of all our friends. Nat is the only one there who isn't impressed. There's just a proud smirk across his face."Of course, Julius Caesar didn't
Everything is a blur. The purple and red glow coming from the neon sign is burning into my skin. We have already been outside for ten minutes waiting for Mr.Luca to arrive.I can hear the bass pounding from inside. It isn't as loud as my heart beat though. The cool air keeps sending chills down my
I am startled awake by the sound of a gunshot, so I put my robe back on and run down the stairs. After rushing to the kitchen I see Liam, the Leon guy, and the blond idiot laughing at the kitchen island. They turn their heads over to me."Morning!" Says Leon.I'm in shock that they haven't addresse
I nod."And that crash happened when his son turned eighteen..." Nathaniel says. They all try to process this sudden information."It's the start of the feud. Ten years ago his heir left, and he needed to act on us fast before we found out. They didn't want us to find her..." Says the son.I had no
"Holy shit. Do you think...?""I'm asking my dad. Come on."They both walk to the other side of the alley where Nathaniel, the blond guy, and that guy's father are standing. I can't hear them as well, but i can make out what they were saying."Is this shit related to a Nara Voss dad?"His dad looks
