“So, you're friends with Charlotte Gray, and dating Sebastian Fabian?"

I was leaning on the kitchen counter as I ate my apple, scrolling through social media as Eros walked into the kitchen with his duffle bag still hanging on his shoulder.

“Thanks for taking the hint and not saying anything about our set-up.”

I said, taking another bite before looking at him. His hair was wet and tousled, perfectly framing his chiseled face, and the feeling from earlier in the parking lot resurfaced again. He dropped his bag on the counter and made his way towards the fridge.

"I'm guessing both of them don't know where you're staying?" He said. He took out the orange juice and drank straight from the pitcher.

"Nope. And I want it to stay that way."

"Why?" I was hoping he would just shrug off what happened today, but I was out of luck.

"Well, I love Char, but I don't want her to have any ideas, and Sebastian, obviously, he wouldn't agree with me living with a guy."

"Then why don't you live with him?" He was looking at me like I was the dumbest girl he had ever met. Guess I have no choice but to let the cat out of the bag.

"I have a family problem... That's why I moved out. Seb and his dad are close to my dad, so if Seb knows where I am, then my dad would know too." He just nodded before putting the pitcher back in the fridge.

“So, no flavor of the night?” I asked, noticing the lack of a female companion around him.

“There is. Just haven't met her yet. I have plans with the team tonight. I just came home to shower and change.” He said, shrugging, before getting his bag.

“Wow. You are a whole new species. Still have the energy after extensive soccer training? Impressive. I’ll be out of your way then.” I said, standing up from the stool and starting to walk out of the kitchen.

"You want to experience something more impressive?"  He smirked at me, and I could already read what was going on in his mind.

"In your dreams, Tanner." I said, forcing a smile at him before leaving him in the kitchen.

“Mav! Oh my god! F*ck!”

I woke up with the moans and groans penetrating my bedroom walls. All I could do was put in my wireless headset, but even with the music blasting dangerously in my ears, I could still hear all the moans, groans, screams, and the occasional wall knocking coming from his bedroom.

Since it looked like I would not be able to sleep anytime soon, I just went downstairs and got myself a beer just to cap off the night. I was on my second can when I heard footsteps down the stairs, and that was my cue to hide beside the fridge.

“Are you sure I can’t stay the night?” I rolled my eyes at how cringy the woman's voice sounds, still probably trying to seduce my housemate.

“You know I don’t do that cuddle BS.” Even without seeing his face, I know he was smirking at the girl right now, playing with her like she was on the palm of his hand.

“Then maybe we can do this again some other time?”

“We'll see."

"Just call me when you need to spice up your life."

Seriously? Girls throw themselves at him like this? I mean, I know that he’s like a Greek God, but is he that good to have every girl groveling at his feet?

“You can come out now.”

I almost jumped out of my skin when I heard his voice near me.

“You scared the sh*t out of me!”

“It is not polite to eavesdrop, housemate.”

“I wasn’t eavesdropping. I went downstairs to get a drink because I couldn’t sleep with all the noises upstairs.”

"In my defense, I had my hand on her mouth while I was pounding her. She was just loud. Almost couldn't finish one round. Her voice felt like nails on a chalkboard."

"So, I'm guessing she wouldn't be invited back?"

"Nope. Never again."

The two of us shared a genuine laugh for the first time as he got himself a can of beer from the fridge. We started talking about the most random things, and I have to admit, he was easy to talk to. He listens well and he can carry a conversation, unlike my initial thoughts of him being a meathead jock.

“How were your finals, by the way?” My eyebrows raised as soon as I heard his question. "What?"

“Nothing, just didn't thought you would be curious about that.”

“FYI, I'm a dean's lister since my first year until now.”

"You're joking..."

"Nope. Want to see my certificates?"

"We've been living for almost a year now. Why don't I know that?" I was really in awe of that revelation.

"We never really had a conversation, since you moved in. Well, until now." He said and I heard almost a bitterness on his voice.

“Well, we don’t really fall in the friendly category before, do we?” I said, taking another sip of my beer.

“Before? So... something changed?”

“Maybe…”

And with that, I smiled at him and clinked my can with his. Chugging until the last drop of beer in my can. He leaned closer to me and I can't help but feel danger with him being this near. The smell of beer together with his cologne and breath was inviting me closer. I felt by body heating up as our face got closer and closer.

*DING DONG* Saved by the bell.

"Good night."

I said as I moved away from him and hurried up to my room. That was a close call.

"You okay?" I immediately asked Psyche as soon as we got home. Tonight was interesting to say the least. "I'm really sorry, I didn't know Heather was gonna come." "Its okay, I'm just tired. Good night." And she scampered up the stairs into her room. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a cold can of beer, sat on the kitchen counter as I loosen the buttons on my shirt. I can't help but smile and laugh as I recall the events that happened tonight.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I knew by the moment I saw Heather that she and Pheobe were gonna cause trouble. By the looks of it, none of my family members, except for my grandfather and me, knows that Psyche is also from a well-off family. Since we didn't lie to my grandfather about how we met, I guess everyone just assumed that she's struggling with finances that's why she rented my place for cheap.Heather and Pheobe kept making remarks about that and I was honestly shocked t

"So... you finally met your match." I smiled as another cousin greeted us as we entered the living room of a huge mansion that belonged to none other than Eros' grandfather. "Nice to see you too, Mason." Eros replied sarcastically as he shoved his cousin playfully. I felt Eros pull me closer to him. "Too close, Tanner." I whispered to him as I elbowed his side."We have to make them believe, housemate." He replied and just softly kissed my temple and pulled me even closer to him.I felt a little jolt in my chest with his every little gesture towards me as we navigated through his family gathering. His cousins are friendly enough and would rope me in conversations that I mostly enjoyed taking part in, except for the questions about my family, which one of them kept bringing up."So, Hana, what did you say your family does?" Everyone turned to look at Phoebe as she eyed me curiously. I felt my smile slip for a second and was about to answer her but Eros swopped in."What's with the in

"Taxi driver? What are you talking about, Psyche?" Eros suddenly asked snapping me out of my thoughts. "The night I came home... crying... I came back from my dad's house." I started.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I was planning on going back to the house that day, when Sebastian decided to inject himself in my life again. He suddenly came to my table with a wide smirk on his face. I've also been ignoring him since I broke up with him and I just can't help but roll my eyes at him."What do you want, Sebastian?" I mumbled as he leaned on our table. "Your dad wants you to come to dinner tonight. And before you shoo me away, he said it has to do with your mom." He then turned his back and statred walking before he turned back to me. "I'll pick you up at Charlotte. 6 PM. See you, sweetheart.""Are you going with him?" Char asked and I nodded at her."If it has something to do with mom, I wouldn't be

"Mav!" I looked around and saw Terrence racing towards me. I was leaning on my car waiting for Psyche so we can go home. "Sebas.... tian... dragging... Hana...." It took a couple of seconds before his words hit me. "Where did he take her?" I asked, shaking my friend violently."Stu...dent... council... office..." He said still trying to catch his breath. I sprinted away from him, anger simmering up my head. Its only been a week since she came back to the house and now Sebastian rearing his ugly head again."What are you doing!" I immediately heard Psyche's voice inside. "You're mine, Hana. We're going to get married. So stop associating yourself to that good for nothing jock!" Sebastian's voice boomed. The door was locked but I had my own way in getting in. I tackled the door and it flew off its hinges. Sebastian was pinning Psyche on the wall as she tried struggling free from his grasp. I saw red! I sprinted towards him and immediately pulled him off of her. "Are you okay?" I imme

"Hey, are you coming home for dinner later?" I asked Psyche as soon as I saw her coming down the stairs. "Uhmm. No. I'm having dinner with Char later. Bye!" She immediately answered before rushing out to her car, while I could only stare and sigh as the door closed behind her. I don't know why, but I could feel that she's been avoiding me for a couple of weeks now. At first, I didn't really notice because I was busy with exams and training, but now I can definitely feel the shift in how she acts around me. I can't help but stare at her as she sits at the corner table of the cafeteria alone."Are you really just gonna stare at her?" Terrence asked as he sat beside me."Shut up." I said as I stood up. "Let's go! We're gonna be late for training." I dragged him out of the cafeteria, and just as we were going out, Sebastian walked past us with a smirk on his face. I followed him with my eyes, and he went straight to Psyche's table. I was about to walk back, but was stopped and dragged

Awkward is an understatement! I could feel Eros and Charlotte trying to psych each other out, but no one dared to say anything, especially Terrence. "I'll get the white wine!" I said before getting up and finally feeling at ease from the tension between the two. "I'll help you!" I heard Terrence say, and soon I felt his presense behind me. "I didn't know it would be this awkward!" He whispered as we took some glasses from the cupboards."What did you expect when you told Char our address?" I whispered back at him emphasizing every word, to let him know that he's not off the hook."She coerced me into telling her. It's not my fault that she's very persuasive." He said, scratching the back of his head as he blushed while staring at nothing. "You like Charlotte?" I asked in an amused hushed tone. My eyes lit up at the opportunity to tease him, and he just blushed even more. "Oh my god! You like her!" I said, almost jumping up and down in excitement."Stop it! She'll hear you!" Terrence

I spent the rest of the week avoiding my housemate. I don't know what these feelings I keep having when he's around, but I know they're dangerous. “You are coming to the party.”“Huh?" “Tanner!” I almost choked on my own saliva as Charlotte yelled in the middle of the cafeteria. And just like that, all eyes gravitated to us. And that was the last thing I wanted.
