“Thank you, Doctor,” I said to show my appreciation to the physician who assign for my mother.

“You are most welcome. I shall take my leave now.” The doctor announced, then stepped out of the private room.

As it happened, the ambulance took my mom to Smith Hospital, and on Harrison’s instruction my mom was treated immediately.

I glanced at Harrison as he gave my back a pat.

I smiled sparingly, “Thank you.”

“You don’t have to force yourself to smile.”
