Okay… is she awake?”

“I think so.”

“Good. That makes things easier.”

Myra squinted as the voices reached her, her vision still blurred and heavy with sleep. Everything felt distant, like she was being dragged back into her body against her will. Slowly, shapes began to form in front of her, though she could barely make out their faces.

“It’s good that you’re awake,” one of them said. “The Beta sent us to get you.”

“Huh…?” The sound left her lips weakly, her mind struggling to catch up with what was happening.

She didn’t understand, not until they pulled her to her feet and dragged her outside.

The moment sunlight hit her face, she froze.

For a second, she couldn’t breathe.

Then her chest tightened as emotion surged through her. The open fields stretched endlessly ahead, the fresh air brushing against her skin, and something deep within her stirred violently. Her wolf was restless, desperate to run.

“The Alpha wanted you to remain in the dungeon,” one of them continued as they walked, “but Miss Lyka pleaded for you.”

“You’ve even been given your old room back in the Alpha’s house. You should be grateful.”

“Grateful.” The word echoed bitterly in her mind.

Lyka.

Lyka.

Lyka.

She was so sick of hearing that name.

“Be grateful to Lyka.”

“Appreciate Lyka.”

“Thank Lyka.”

By the time they reached the pack house, Myra’s expression had gone completely blank.

Standing at the entrance was Alpha Ryan, her father, waiting for her.

His gaze dropped to her, filled not with concern, but with cold disdain.

“So, you’re finally here,” he said. She didn’t respond.

“But before you step into my house again,” he continued, his voice sharp and controlled, “there are a few things you need to understand if you want to avoid unnecessary problems.”

Silence settled between them.

“First, you will obey your Aunt Daria in everything.” A quiet, humorless chuckle slipped from Myra’s lips.

“You mean your mistress? Your whore?” she asked, her voice hoarse but steady. “Because I don’t remember my mother having a sister like that.”

Pah!

Her head snapped to the side, the sting spreading across her cheek as she struggled to keep her balance.

“Watch your mouth,” Ryan said coldly.

Myra lowered her gaze slightly, but there was no submission in her expression.

“From now on, you will remain in your room until after the wedding,” he continued. “You are not to leave for any reason.”

A brief pause. “After the wedding, a trial will be held to determine your punishment.”

Myra’s fingers curled faintly at her sides.

“And if you attempt to leave the pack,” he added, his voice dropping into something darker, “you will be killed on the spot.”

She lifted her head then, meeting his gaze fully.

“You would kill your own daughter?” she asked quietly.

Ryan didn’t hesitate. “It is better than having my blood tied to a criminal.”

The words settled heavily in the air.

Without another glance, he turned and walked away.

Myra stood there for a moment, unmoving, before finally stepping past the guards and into the house.

The moment she opened the door to her room, everything hit her at once.

It was the same.

The same scent. The same space. The same silence.

Like nothing had changed.

Like her life hadn’t been destroyed.

She stepped inside slowly, her fingers brushing against familiar surfaces, before something inside her finally gave way.

Myra collapsed onto the bed, clutching the sheets as the tears she had been holding back spilled over. Her body shook with silent sobs, the weight of everything crashing down on her at once.

She didn’t know how long she stayed like that.

Time blurred.

Eventually, she forced herself up and made her way to the bathroom, turning on the water and stepping inside without hesitation. She scrubbed at her skin harshly, over and over again, as if she could wash away the dirt, the cell, the humiliation, everything that had been forced onto her.

It didn’t work.

It would never work.

When she was done, exhausted and drained, she returned to her room and fell onto the bed, sleep claiming her almost instantly.

A sharp knock sounded at the door, pulling her out of her exhausted slumber.

Bria’s heart stopped for a second. The sweet caramel scent hit her like a wave, making her wolf jump with joy inside her. Mate… The word echoed in her mind, loud and clear. She froze, her eyes widening as she saw Carl walk into the cafe. He was tall, serious, and looking around like he was meeting someone. Bria’s stomach dropped. No. Not him. Anyone but him.She quickly ducked under the table, trying to hide. “Myra, hide me!” she whispered urgently.Myra paused, turning to look in Carl’s direction. She was shocked. What a twist of fate. She quickly sat down and tried to block Bria from view. “Stay down. Don’t move.”Carl sniffed the air again, his brow furrowed. The scent was strong — sweet and comforting, pulling at his wolf. He walked further into the cafe, his eyes scanning every table. The scent was so close now. He stopped right beside their table.“Myra?” he said, surprised to see her. Myra forced a smile. “Hi, Carl. What a coincidence.”Carl nodded, but his eyes were still searc

His words sent a bolt to her heart. Her pupils shrank as her heart slammed violently against her chest. She drew deep breaths to calm herself down, but it was not working.“If you want to have an epilepsy, I suggest you have it elsewhere,” Kendall said coldly. “I don’t want to be responsible for your death.”He covered his food and lifted his phone, distracting himself.Lyka forced herself to stand up. Saying he did not care hurt more than anything. She made a vow to herself. Everybody. Every damn person will pay. She had been too lenient.Kendall watched her back as she left, a cold glint flashing through his eyes.Meanwhile, back in the elder house, Myra slept for a while after her call with Matteo. When her sleep was interrupted by two consecutive knocks.“My lady, Elder Alfred invites you to have dinner with him.”She shuddered a little, feeling nervous. “Coming,” she answered. The redness had faded from her face a little bit. Lyka stood shocked for a few seconds before bursting out in anger. She reached for the lady’s hair and threw her across the room. The woman hit the wall with a cry.“What the fuck, Aiden?” Lyka screamed, pointing at the whimpering lady. “What do you mean by this?” Aiden frowned at the interruption. He was just about to cum, so he focused more on wanting to release than on Lyka and her antics. He imagined Myra’s arms touching him instead. “Ah—” His cum burst out.Pa!Lyka slapped him hard across the face. She had never felt so humiliated in her life. “Who is she, Aiden? Tell me. Who the hell is she?” Aiden rubbed his cheek, still breathing hard. The woman on the floor looked up, her face twisted in pain and fear. She tried to crawl away, but Lyka stepped on her hand.“Answer me!” Lyka shouted, her voice shaking with rage and hurt. Aiden finally looked at her, his eyes cold. “She’s just a replacement. She looks like her. That’s all.”Lyka felt like someone had punched her in the gut. Tea

Knock knock.Butler William knocked gently on the door, stirring Matteo and Myra from their nap. “Master, some people are here for Madame,” he said softly. He had already tried mindlinking him, but Matteo was unresponsive, so he had no choice but to come upstairs. Matteo replied to him through the mindlink. Myra’s face turned ashen when she heard his words. Matteo pressed his lips softly against her forehead and flashed her a comforting smile. “Don’t worry,” he whispered. “It will be alright.” Myra took a deep breath, trying to calm the sudden nervousness in her chest. She nodded, but her hands still trembled a little as she held onto his arm. Matteo kissed her forehead again, longer this time, before helping her sit up. “I’ll be right here with you,” he said quietly. “No matter what.” She stood up to start packing her bags, she looked at the closet that was filled with clothes, she felt more confused and exhausted, when Matteo took her hands, "Don't worry everything will be delive

“Liar!” Bria flared up. “Myra didn’t murder anyone. She’s innoncent. Victoria chuckled. “Well, I beg to differ. Not when I have written evidence about your heinous crimes. You should pack your bags and leave the kingdom to save yourself from further embarrassment because I will gladly expose your pretentious act in front of everyone.”Myra remained calm and finally spoke. “I didn’t murder anyone. And what is your evidence source? Do you think they are trustworthy? I know you don’t like me, but don’t you think these shady tricks are beneath you? Compete fairly, not with your dirty tricks.”Victoria laughed. “Ha! If this is your way of trying to convince me not to expose you, it failed. Nice try.”She crossed her arms, a smug smile on her face. “Get prepared, Myra. Because when I expose you, the whole kingdom will turn against you. The council will have no choice but to reject you. And Matteo… well, even he won’t be able to save you then.”Myra felt a cold wave of anxiety wash over her.

Matteo didn’t go straight home after the meeting. Instead, he headed back to his office with a heavy mind. Carl followed closely behind him. Once they were inside, Matteo closed the door firmly and sat behind his desk.“Report,” he said.Carl placed a thick file on the table. “I have investigated the criminal’s background as you asked. There wasn’t much before Alpha Ryan married Lunelle Silverstar, heiress to the Silver Clan Pack.”Matteo raised an eyebrow in surprise. “Lunelle?”“Yes,” Carl nodded. “She is Myra’s mother. She was previously almost married to someone else, but she left her groom at the altar. A year later, she returned with Alpha Ryan and three months old Myra. The elders had no choice but to approve their union.”Carl’s face darkened as he continued. “Five years later, Lunelle died from what was reported as deep depression. Only a week after her death, Alpha Ryan married Daria, who is now the current Luna. Seven years later, they took full control of the Silver Clan Pa
