Bella’s POV

The moment I stepped into the car, something felt wrong.

Maybe it was the way the driver avoided my eyes when I greeted him.

Or maybe it was how tightly he held the steering wheel.

I couldn’t explain it, but the feeling sat heavily in my chest.

Still, I pushed the thought away and leaned back against the seat.

Bella’s POVAs I walked into my room, I closed the door behind me and leaned against it for a moment. My heart was still uneasy, but maybe Alessandro was right. Maybe I really did need to clear my head.I changed into a simple cream-colored dress and brushed my hair until it fell softly over my shoulders. I didn’t bother with much makeup, just enough to make me look less tired. When I came back downstairs, Alessandro was waiting for me by the door. His eyes moved over me, and he smiled.“You look beautiful.”I lowered my gaze. “Thank you.”He opened the door for me like a gentleman, and I stepped outside with him. The fresh air touched my skin, and I breathed in slowly. It felt good to leave the house.Alessandro drove us out of the city to a quiet place by the lake. It was peaceful there, with trees swaying in the wind and the sun reflecting on the water like tiny diamonds. When he parked the car, I looked around in surprise.“This place is beautiful,” I said.“I know,” he replied. “

  • Married to Devils Empire   Chapter Sixty-one

Bella’s POVMy wedding was only two days away, but instead of feeling happy, I felt heavy inside.I had tried many times to understand why I felt that way, but I still had no answer. Every girl was supposed to be excited before her wedding day. They were supposed to smile, dream about their dress, and imagine how beautiful everything would be. But that wasn’t how I felt.I was scared. Not the kind of fear that came from cold weather or a bad dream. This fear sat deep inside my chest and refused to leave. It followed me everywhere. It stayed with me when I woke up, when I ate, when I sat alone in my room, and even when I tried to sleep.Something about the wedding felt wrong. It felt like I didn’t want it to happen.I stood in front of the mirror in my room, staring at my reflection. My face looked pale, and my eyes had lost their usual shine. I touched my cheek softly and let out a slow breath.“Bella, what is wrong with you?” I whispered to myself. But even I didn’t know the answer.

  • Married to Devils Empire   Chapter sixty

Bella’s POVAs he reached the last step, his eyes moved from me to the woman sitting in the living room.I watched his expression carefully. At first, he looked surprised. Then his face changed into something calmer. Something familiar. He knew her.I stood up immediately.“Alessandro,” I called. “What is going on here?”He walked closer, his eyes still fixed on the woman. Then he looked at me.“Bella…”I pointed at the woman. “She says she is my mother.”There was a short silence.I looked between both of them. “Do you know this woman?”Alessandro exhaled softly and nodded.“Yes,” he said.My chest tightened.“So she’s telling the truth?”He glanced at the woman again before facing me fully.“I’m sorry, Bella,” he said gently. “She is your mother. Since you lost your memory, she has been around.”I stared at him in shock, my mouth parted, but no words came out, i turned slowly to look at the woman again. She was crying quietly now.My mother, the word still felt too strange in my hea

  • Married to Devils Empire   Chapter Fifty-nine

Bella’s POVI was sitting quietly in the living room that afternoon, trying to keep my mind calm. The house was peaceful, but my thoughts were not. Ever since everything changed in my life, peace had become something I could only pretend to have.I sat on the couch with a glass of juice in my hand, staring at the television without really watching it. My mind was somewhere else. It had been like that a lot lately. Sometimes I felt like my body was in one place while my mind was lost in another. The sound of footsteps made me look up.One of the maids walked into the living room. She stopped a few steps away from me and bowed her head respectfully.“Good day, madam,” she said softly.I nodded. “Good day.”But I could already tell from the look on her face that she hadn’t come just to greet me. She looked nervous, like she didn’t know how to say what she had come to say.I placed the glass on the table in front of me and gave her my full attention.“What is it?” I asked. She hesitated f

Grant's POVThe car stopped in front of the building. The driver parked in the parking area, and before the engine was completely off, I opened the door and stepped outside.I did not wait for anyone.I slammed the door shut and walked straight toward the entrance. The cold wind brushed against my face, but I barely felt it. My mind was too busy with anger.Usually, Sky would have followed me everywhere. He never liked leaving me alone when he knew I was upset. But this time, he was at home recovering.A bullet had entered his body during the attack a few days ago.The doctors said he would survive, but he needed rest. For once, I was glad he wasn't here, If Sky were with me, he would probably try to calm me down.Right now, I didn't want to be calm.I wanted answers.I pushed the door open and entered the building. The moment my grandfather saw me, a smile appeared on his face."Grant!" he said happily. His reaction irritated me immediately. He stood up from his chair and opened his

Author's POV“I have already done everything possible to make sure I get to the top. Don’t you all see that?” the masked man said. His voice echoed through the large hall, but nobody responded. The room was filled with powerful men and women. Their expensive clothes, calm expressions, and confident posture showed that they were people who controlled great wealth and influence. Yet none of them looked impressed by the masked man standing before them. Not a single person smiled, non single person showed sympathy. To them, he was becoming a burden. The masked man looked around the room desperately.“Trust me,” he continued, trying to control his emotions, “I really need that position. I have sacrificed too much to turn back now. Everything I have done was for this moment.”Still, nobody answered him.Instead, they slowly looked away as if he did not exist. The action hurt him more than any insult could. For years, he had worked for them.
