Sebastian POV

The city lights outside my office window looked like a grid of white and blue. Rain was pouring down on the glass, making the headlights on Sixth Avenue below look all weird. It was four in the morning. The air in the suite felt tense, smelling like old coffee, printer ink, and a bit of my cedar scent.

Elliot shifted on the leather sofa behind me. He muttered something in his sleep, his fingers gripping the edge of the blanket. Without the suppressants, his presence filled the room

Elliot POVThe clock was ticking away. We had forty-two seconds left. The air in the arena was really hot. It smelled bad. I was sweating a lot. It was dripping down my neck and into my grey shirt. I put my hand on my stomach. I could feel my heart beating fast under my suit jacket."Listen up!" I yelled. I slammed my marker on the board. The other players were standing around me. They were all out of breath. Their helmets had ice on them. The noise in the stadium was really loud. It was Game Seven. The score was tied."They think we will just hit the puck and run after it," I said. I drew an arrow on the board. "We are not going to do that. We are going to trap them in the middle. Miller, you need to go and stand between the circles. When their player crosses the line, you need to stop t

  • Married to My Rival Alpha(MM Romance)   Chapter 92- Standard of Domination

Sebastian POVThe big double doors of the arena storage bays slammed shut, cutting off the shouts of the crew. I pulled the bag over my shoulder, and it was really heavy. The wet pads were digging into my collarbone. My knees hurt from being on the ice for twenty-eight minutes. My lungs still felt the sting of the air. We won Game Four. It did not feel good. We played two games in a row. It was tough.I did not go to the team bus that was waiting near the exit."The car is waiting at the south gate," Aris said, coming out from behind a pillar. He fixed the thing in his ear. "The guys on the street made sure it is safe to drive. The road to the highway is clear.""Did Elliot take his medicine?" I asked.I walked past the people from the media,

  • Married to My Rival Alpha(MM Romance)   Chapter 91- Ice Wrath

Sebastian POVThe smell of my hockey gloves hit me like sweat and old leather. I sat on the bench in our locker room, the sharp smell of wintergreen oil burning my nose. The Redmoor Kings were all getting ready around me. It was Game One of the playoffs. We had just finished playing on our home ice. I was still thinking about some security footage.I put on my jersey, pulling it over my shoulder pads. The captain's C was on my breast. I could feel my body getting ready to fight, a fury under my skin. Daniel and Devereux were out in the city, thinking they had a plan to get to my mate. They thought the playoffs would distract me. They did not know that when an alpha is cornered, they play to win."Listen up!" I shouted. The locker room was silent. The coaches stopped talking. All twenty players looked at me. My scent filled the room, sharp and aggressive."The opponents play rough," I said, my voice low. "They think they can bully us on our ice. We do not back down from hits tonight. W

Elliot POVThe crowd was going wild, their cheers shaking the walls of the arena. Thousands of fans were screaming, all their voices mixed together in a noise that I could feel through the floor. The TV lights were shining down on the ice, making it look super bright and white.I was standing at the center of the bench, holding onto the wooden rail. The air smelled like ice and sweat. It was a smell I knew from when I used to play hockey. Now I was wearing a suit. My stomach was showing. The media cameras were all lined up along the glass, watching my every move. For the three days, all anyone could talk about was me, an Omega coaching a playoff team while pregnant with a billionaire alpha's baby."Keep it simple!" I yelled, trying to be heard over the noise. "Get the puck deep. Make them work! Do not give them any space!"The players jumped onto the ice, their skates cutting through the frost. The Redmoor Wolves were the underdogs, playing against a team with a lot of money. The anal

  • Married to My Rival Alpha(MM Romance)   Chapter 89- The Shadow Intercept

Sebastian POVThe only sound in the bedroom was Elliot's breathing. I smoothed the sheet one time to make sure the blanket was tucked around his shoulders. My scent was over the fabric, sealing the room from the outside world. Elliot was asleep, his body relaxed after the exhaustion of the foyer and our intense bond.I got out of bed. Walked down the long, dim corridor of the penthouse to my private office. I didn't put on a shirt. The steel door locked behind me with a motorized hiss. I sat down in the leather chair. The terminal arrays came to life. Three curved monitors turned on in the room, casting a cold blue glow over my chest.I tapped my wrist terminal. Transferred the high-priority alert to the main desktop screens."Aris," I said into the microphone."I'm tracking the sedan now, boss," Aris responded. "The tactical team put a beacon on the bumper before they opened the gates. We're three blocks behind him in a van.""Tell me about the satellite feed," I said.On the center

Elliot POVThe heavy steel doors at the end of the hall closed with a click. The smell of lilies was still in the air, but the elevator took us away from it. By the time we got to the floor, the only sound was the storm hitting the windows.I walked into the bedroom. My body was tight, muscles stiff from what happened. Still feeling the effects of the argument. My fingers are shaking. My heart is racing. My sweat; sharp, a sour smell from anxiety. My instincts are still on alert, telling me to protect myself and the people I care about.Sebastian came into the room behind me. He threw his tablet on the nightstand without looking at it. Looking at me, his eyes fixed on my shoulders, seeing how tense I was."Elliot." His voice was low, calm, filling the room.I did not say anything. I sat down on the bed. Looked at my hands. My knuckles were red and sore. I kept thinking about what Daniel did. He tried to touch my stomach. It made me feel sick. He looked perfect, belonging in the billio
