Natasha’s POV

As I stepped outside the house and started toward my car, I suddenly realized I didn’t take my keys.

“Shit.”

I was about to head back inside when a voice stopped me.

“Mrs. Castillo,” one of the drivers called out respectfully. “Is everything okay?”

“I left my car keys upstairs,” I replied calmly.

“I could drive you,” he said. “Where would you like to go? I’ll get the car ready.”

I shook my head. “It’s okay. I can drive myself.”

He hesitated. “Are you sure? Mr Castillo usually p

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 58–Good Morning, Natasha

Natasha’s POVI woke up slowly, the morning light filtering through the curtains. My hand reached across the bed, searching for the familiar warmth of Tristan’s body. The space was empty. It was still early. He must have gone to check on Adelina and Patricia. He’d probably be back any minute, slipping under the covers to pull me close like he always did. I stretched and sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. The events of last night still lingered in my mind—Victoria’s confession. It suddenly made sense how Lucas seemed to know far more than he should have. Then there was the awful kiss I never wanted. I pushed the memories down and swung my legs off the bed. For some strange reason, all I could think about was Tristan. I couldn’t explain it. My body felt restless in a way it hadn’t in weeks. We hadn’t been intimate since Lucas came back. Maybe it was remnants of sleep, or the confusing ache of wanting to be touched by the man who actually belonged to me. Tristan stepped out of

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 57–My Wife Loves Someone Else

Tristan’s POVAfter I’d met with the investors, I shook their hands and removed the tie around my neck completely. I stared at it longer than necessary. A faint smile crept onto my face. Natasha insisted I wore it. I did. Despite never wearing one before… I did anyway. I slipped it into my pocket. I excused myself to go to the rooftop and told Daniel to drive Natasha home whenever she was ready to leave. He had noticed the shift in my expression, but didn’t ask questions. Several minutes passed as I watched Daniel lead Natasha into his car from the rooftop. She had never mentioned who Lucas was. And maybe it didn’t matter. But I’d just heard her tell him she loved him. My hands tightened around the railing until my knuckles turned white.Come to think of it, I didn’t think I had any right to be mad. She had told me she wanted out the moment her father’s company was safe. Still… I didn’t expect it to be soon. But we had been in a good place these past few weeks… what changed?I exh

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 56–The Gala II

Natasha’s POVTristan’s speech was brief. I couldn’t help but smile when he admitted he wasn’t much for long speeches. It was so him. The moment he was done, he made his way back to me, weaving through the crowd with a smug smile I was beginning to know so well. “How’d I do?”I wrapped my arms around myself. The night air was starting to get cold. “You did… okay.”“Okay?” he said, already shrugging off his jacket and draping it over my shoulders. “I just know you don’t like me.”I shook my head, smiling as I pulled the jacket closer around me. “Thank you.”Then a waiter stopped beside us, balancing a tray of champagne. “Champagne, sir? Ma’am?”I reached for one of the flutes, but Tristan intercepted it, taking the glass from me before I could even raise it to my lips. I knitted my brows. “Why would you do that?”He placed it back on the tray before picking up a glass of sparkling water instead and handed it to me. “You’re light-headed when you get drunk,” he said. “I can’t risk

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 55–The Gala I

Tristan’s POV“You know you can just ask for help, Natasha,” I said, watching her struggle with the zipper of her dress.“Of course,” she replied, breathing lightly. “But what happens if you’re not around? Besides, I’ve been doing it myself for a long time.”I stepped behind her, gently sweeping her hair over one shoulder before pulling the zipper up. “Sure, you can do it yourself,” I murmured. “But it wouldn’t hurt to ask for help once in a while.” I pressed a soft kiss to the back of her neck. “Thank you.”She turned to face me, her eyes sweeping over me as though she were judging me. “Where’s your tie?”“What tie?”She placed her hands on her hips. “Are you for real?”“I don’t do ties, Natasha,” I said, buttoning my cufflinks. “They’re for… normal people. I prefer to be different. In case you’ve forgotten, I didn’t even wear one on our wedding day.”“Well,” she said, reaching into my wardrobe. “Today, you’ll act like everyone else.”I chuckled. “If you’re looking for a tie, don’

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 54–If you say so, Mrs. Castillo

Natasha’s POV“Are you sure you don’t need to stay at home or go to the hospital?”Tristan had asked the same question all morning. He was certain I needed to rest and that something wasn’t right with me. “It really isn’t that serious,” I said, taking a last look at myself in the mirror.“Not that serious?” He stepped closer, his voice laced with concern. “You’ve been looking so tired lately.”I rolled my eyes as I turned to face him. “Oh, please. Between preparing for my interior design business and changing this room, I’m bound to get tired.”“No,” he countered. “You haven’t been eating properly. And every time you eat something, you end up throwing up.”“I understand your concern, Mr. Castillo,” I said, wrapping my hands around his neck as he held my waist. “But nothing is wrong with me. It’s just stress, that’s all.”“If you say so, Mrs. Castillo.” He didn’t argue further, but he wasn’t convinced. “Just call me if anything happens.”I scoffed, pulling away slightly. “And when ha

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 53–Be Patient With Her

Tristan’s POVThings finally felt normal again after the gunshot. Natasha had returned to our bedroom. She was sleeping peacefully, her head resting against my chest, one hand tangled in my hair. I carefully slid out of bed and walked onto the balcony. My arm throbbed beneath the bandage. It was healing slowly. Natasha had been tending to the wound and changing the bandage every day. Now, it was time to deal with Francis Luzardo. That bastard had a terrible aim. I dialed a number. The phone only rang once before it was picked up.“I have eyes on him,” the voice said. “What should I do next?”“You’ll do nothing yet,” I said calmly, leaning against the railing. “Just never let him out of your sight. And remember—keep your distance. Make sure no one gets hurt.”I ended the call, slipped the phone into my pocket and walked back into the room. Natasha was still sleeping. I didn’t know what it was, but something about her looked different. I went into the closet and put on a t-shirt. I’d

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 6–You’re Always Lucky

Natasha’s POV I shut the door behind me and leaned against it, exhaling slowly. My gaze drifted across the room. It should be comforting, but it only reminded me of how little control I actually had over my life. Marriage. To Tristan. A man I barely know. The word still didn’t sit right.

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 5–You Worry Too Much

Tristan’s POV By the time I stepped into the house, the urgency from the call had already faded. My sister, Patricia, was waiting at the foyer. “She’s been asking for you,” she said. “Her blood pressure spiked earlier, and we tried to calm her down, but she just wouldn’t budge.” I didn’t resp

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 4–Just One Year

Natasha’s POV I glared at him. If looks could kill, this man would have been dead by now. “I don’t recall giving you permission to call me that.”His smile didn’t fade. If anything, it deepened, like he was enjoying every second of my irritation. “I don’t remember asking for permission, cariño.”

  • Married to the Devil   Chapter 3–Well… Fuck Me

Natasha’s POV “Hell fucking no! You can’t be serious,” I said. “You really expect me to marry Tristan Castillo? The same Tristan who was rumored to have killed his own parents?” I laughed after I said that, because the whole thing sounded like a bad joke. My father didn’t react immediately. H
