LOGINShe woke up in pains. And in chains too. The monster had left her there after she passed out. He couldn't even bring her down. She struggled to break free but it only added to her pains.
She stopped struggling and open her mouth to call him but the words got stuck in her throat as soon as she heard moans. She scoffed in anger and disbelief. He left her in chains to have sex.
She was glad she didn't waste her voice on him. He'd simply ignore her and carry on like he didn't beat her to unconsciousness few hours ago. She continued trying to free herself but all efforts proved futile. She gave up with a frustrated sigh.
She resigned to staring at the door hoping he would walk in any minute. He did come in but after several minutes. He was shirtless and her eyes trailed down his half tatted chest. She felt like reaching out to poke those abs. He would be sexy if he wasn't so terrifying.
"See what you like, pet?" He asks. She looked at him expecting to find a smirk but she got disappointed. The same blank face. She quickly lowered her gaze before he would make a deal out of it.
He walked over and lifted her face to meet his.
"Does it still hurt?" He asked. If he was talking about the whip then it certainly did. She nodded slowly.
"Good cause it's gonna hurt a little more". Before she could process his words, the chains slid off her and she crashed heavily to the floor. She wanted to yell at him. Scream at him. Maybe hit him a little but she couldn't any.
"Hurry, I got something for ypu" He said and she wondered if that was a good thing. Using the wall as support, she struggled back to her feet. She walked slowly out of the room only to see him uncuffing the lady in his bed. She froze in the spot.
Has it gotten to that extent?. He even blindfolded her. She watched him released her and the shameless woman climbed out of bed.
"Who's she?" She asked glaring at Valentine.
"We're done here. Get out" He said simply and she walked out of the room. Eric turned to her.
"Back to my gift. It's really cute so I'm sure you'll like it' He said and she wondered when he started caring about what she liked. She watched him pick the bag and what he brought out shocked her.
A collar. A freaking collar.
"Now aren't you lucky to have a master as caring as I?" He asked with some air of pride like he got her the best gift in the world. If he was looking for a way to punish her again, he certainly got his wish.
"No, I won't. You've reduced me to an animal and now you got me a collar? What more can you possibly do to me, Eric? I'm human, I've got feelings. You can't treat me like a......"
"What did you just call me?" He asked and she felt like ripping him apart. Out of everything she said, the only thing he could pick out was his name?.
"I can't address you by your name too?" She scoffed. His jaw tightened and for a second she thought he would hit her but he didn't. Instead he put the collar round her neck.
"Eric stop..I won't wear any collar. I'm not a dog...." He suddenly tightened it and she gasped for breath. She hit his hand continuously but he didn't let go.
"Now listen, pets don't talk back at their masters. They're generally not supposed to talk but if you keep pushing me, I'll cut off that tongue of yours and feed it to you. Got it?" He snapped and she nodded rapidly hoping he would let go but he didn't.
"Secondly, you're not allowed to call my name. Say whatever you want but don't let my name roll off your tongue. Now you're gonna wear this collar for as long as I want you to" He said and she couldn't even nod. She was almost passing out when he released her.
She fell to the floor gasping and coughing. He didn't even care. He simply walked out of the room. She finally steadied her breathing but remained on the floor. He almost killed her. He would have.
Hot tears strolled down her cheeks. She shouldn't have talked back. She should have just accepted the collar. She finally got to her feet and tried the door but it was locked. She kept trying but it wouldn't budge. Why did he lock her in?.
She settled once more on the floor and waited for him to return. Her stomach grumbled loduly. She almost fell asleep when the door reopened. She expected Eric but it wasn't him. This set of eyes were the softest she'd ever seen. This man before her was handsome. Very handsome.
"Are you waiting for him too? "He asked but she couldn't find the words to reply him. He gave the sweetest smile she'd ever seen.
"I'm Aldric, Eric's younger brother. You are?" He asked extending his hand.
'I'm Valentine, Eric's pet' The thought almost got her laughing out. She didn't take his hand. She couldn't. What if Eric walked in? He'd simply accuse her of seducing his brother.
He stepped closer and she moved back.
"I mean no harm, I swear. I won't hurt you" He said and she believed him. Her stomach grumbled loudly embarrassing her. She lowered her gaze and he chuckled.
"You're hungry? Come with me and I'll get you something to eat". He offered his hand again and she took it this time. As long as food was involved, she was willing to risk it.
She followed him without knowing where he was taking her. He led her through a door and she found herself in a room, just like Eric's. She frowned. Nothing in here looked like food.
"Sit, I'll call the maids to attend to you. In the meantime, I'll get you a drink" He said and she nodded. He was so different from Eric. So nice. Human.
He offered her a glass of juice and she gulped everything down. He chuckled and poured another glass for her. She took another gulp and dropped it.
"They'll soon be here" He told her and she nodded. He sat at the other end of the couch studying her. She avoided his gaze shyly. She yawned repeatedly feeling drowsy all of a sudden.
He moved to sit beside her. She shifted away though her eyes felt heavy.
"Are you okay? "He asked. She shook her head. She wasn't okay. She knew she wasn't. She couldn't feel drowsy all of a sudden.
"I feel...I feel..." She yawned and stretched.
"Sleepy? You're supposed to" He said sweetly and closed the gap between them. She was totally helpless as he carried her to his bed.
She gave in to sleep knowing fully well he drugged her. She couldn't do anything. She was completely at his mercy.
“We need to talk," Eric said the minute she stepped into the room. Valentine tries to read his expression. Could he have known that she went to meet his aunt? Was she not supposed to? Was he angry? Yet his expression rendered no answer to her question. It was blank as usual. “Did I something wrong?" She asked, approaching the bed cautiously. “I don't bite, Valentine. Aside the face that you got out of bed when you were supposed to be resting, there is really no reason to snap your neck," he told her and her body relaxed. At least he wasn't angry. She wasn't sure she was in the right frame of mind to deal with it. “Tell me, where did you go?" He asked the moment she was seated. She shifted uncomfortably. “I went to see your aunt. I had something important to ask her, “ she responded carefully. He nodded. "Alright. I don't know what business you have with her but that's okay. I have bad news.” Her heart skipped a beat. "About?” " Freya. They said she was your frien
“What a pleasant surprise! Who could have thought? You're the last person I expected to see in my chambers this early," Marcie grinned but Valentine was in no mood for pleasantries. She just wanted the woman to tell her where her mother was.“I want to know what you did to my mother," she stated and Marcie's smile dropped slightly. “What I did to your mother? That's strange because, at the last meeting, I remember telling you that the Alpha knows exactly what happened to your mother," Marcie said. “Spare me those lies. Eric doesn't even know my mother is here and I have been with him twenty-four seven, so tell me why you would lie about something like that," Valentine stated. Marcie could see that the conversation was not going the way she planned. She thought Valentine would be carried away by worry and demand to see her mother immediately. “You're already so determined to tag me a liar so why should I bother?" Aunt Marcie tried manipulating her. “That should be the more reason
He blocked her path again and all she wanted to was slap him. “Are you avoiding me, Kim?" Aldric asked and she looked at him with a bored expression.“What does it look like?" She retorted. “I thought we agreed to have a nice dinner. You never showed up for that, why?" He asked and she rolled her eyes. “Don't you get it? I am not interested in talking or eating with you. I don't like you, I've never liked you and nothing is going to change that," she stated.Aldric surprisingly didn't take offense. Instead, he was amused by her words. “I didn't bring up dinner to try to get you to like me. What makes you think I like you too? I just wanted us to have a civil conversation for the first time. Like two mature people," he said. Kimberly crossed her arms. She was no fool. “Is that so? Can you swear this dinner had nothing to do with the marriage that is being imposed on you and me?" Aldric was startled by the words. Sure, rumors did fly around but he didn't expect it to get to her so
“I knew this was going to be a total waste of time. All she did was talk in circles, sobbing about getting killed when she is going to die anyway," Eric huffed as he walked ahead of the Elder. Iyaki hastened up to catch up with him. “Can you slow down?"“We have to force the truth out of her. I need to know who wants my mate dead," Eric continued talking, ignoring what the Elder said. “I understand that but getting unnecessarily angry won't help us now," Iyaki sighed and Eric stopped walking.“Unnecessary angry? You saw her there, she almost died! Do you have any idea how it feels to lose a mate twice? I lost Alana and now that thing almost made me lose Valentine!" Eric bawled.“I'm sorry if my words came out the wrong way. I know you can't afford to lose her and trust me, you won't. I'm just asking you to be patient. Let me deal with this,” Iyaki said calmly. "Fine then. Deal with it.”Eric turned around and left, leaving the Elder behind. Iyaki shook his head and walked in the o
Valentine returned to her bed in a daze. She couldn't believe that the one girl she'd treated with so much love could betray her like this. And for what reason? She shut her eyes to keep the tears from falling out. The signs were there. Right from the time of the red dress to when she found her with Aunt Marcie. “I hope you are not feeling sorry for her or blaming yourself for whatever she did to you," Maya spoke up when she noticed that Valentine had been quiet for too long. “No, I am not," Valentine responded. “I just want to sleep this through."“Polite way of asking us out, huh?" Maya teased and Rhoda nudged her. “She needs to rest, okay? A lot has happened and it might take a toll on her. Enough of the jokes," Rhoda scolded. “Fine," Maya grumbled. “We'll leave now but we'll be back to check on you, okay? Do not let Freya bother you. She is going to get everything she deserves.”Valentine didn't know how to respond to that. She just wanted it to be a bad dream. The Freya she
Iyaki continued stirring his coffee, ignoring the presence of the man. Eric sat stiffly on the seat, practicing all forms of apologies in his head. The Elder moved to the couch opposite him and took a seat, sipping the hot liquid without uttering a word. Eric sucked in a breath, aware that the man would not say a word to him until he was ready to apologize. His amber orbs flickered to the Elder’s cold ones.“Don’t you think you are a little too old to be keeping grudges?” Eric mumbled, looking away. The Elder didn’t react to the remark even though he heard him clearly. “I am sorry for disrespecting you. I was angry and it got the best of me. Forgive me?”“That was the best you could come up with?” Iyaki asked, his face an unreadable mask.“You want me to make promises I can’t keep? You already know how I get when I am angry. You also know that of all the people in my life, I respect you the most, yet here you are, giving me the silent treatment,” Eric grumbled and Iyaki smiled.“I am
There was tension in the palace. It was like a thick blanket thrown over the palace. The maids gather in small groups, whispering. The guards were busy trying to bring back order to the palace.Everyone was busy but no one was doing anything in particular. Just roaming around the east wing tr

"I'm getting married?! Why?!" Aldric half-yelled. King Edmund simply sighed and took a seat beside him."Sit, Aldric" He spoke. Aldric was reluctant at first but eventually sat."It wasn't my decision" The king started."Obviously!" Aldric spat. The king shot him a look but chose not to comment."T
