Chapter 7

(Mia's POV)

"Dad isn't going to come back. He wouldn't. It's not like my mother and Alpha David aren't making out or kissing. If Dad were bothered about all this, he should have been back, but he hasn't. I will just reject the triplets. That's all I can do now so that I can concentrate on my studies," I responded, and Molly shut me out.

I couldn't speak to her anymore, so I sighed and bathed in my bathroom.

Once I got out, I picked up a white nightdress and donned it.

I then moved over to my bed to sit down and check my phone.

I saw a notification chime and read it.

It was a message from Vivian Adams.

"Hey, Mia. What's up? Do you have plans for the weekend? We can go shopping, and I want to introduce you to someone," Vivian texted me, and I smiled while reading her chat.

"Who is it?" I asked her, wondering if I should ask her about werewolves and how come she hadn't told me about herself.

"Don't worry. You will get to see him tomorrow," Vivian replied, and I felt curious.

"Him? Who is he?" I asked her, thinking about all the boys at the academy. I didn't interact much with the guys, but they respected me—maybe because my mother was the chairwoman of the academy.

"Tomorrow, Mia. Chill," Vivian replied, and I rolled my eyes.

"Fine. See you tomorrow then," I said before our chat ended.

Smiling, I placed my phone on the shelf and laid down on the bed to sleep.

I thought about Triple L. This was the first time I was thinking about a guy, and it wasn't just one guy, but three. How can a girl have three boyfriends at a time? I thought about it, smiling as I succumbed to sleep.

In my dream, I saw Leon taking a bath, and I was shocked by how massive his body was. Not just that, Luis and Liam were bathing me—washing my hands and my legs.

"Oh no!" I awoke, sweating profusely. I peered out the window and saw that it wasn't morning yet. The sky was still dark, and the time was only 3:00 AM.

Feeling hot, I touched my skin, got out of bed, moved over to the window, and peered outside.

Shockingly, I caught sight of a wolf. Not just one, but three wolves.

"No way!" I shut my window and rushed back to my bed to sleep, my heart throbbing faster.

The three wolves were black, and they had looked at me with intense yellow eyes.

"Calm down, Mia. They are ours and cannot hurt you," Molly said in a soft voice, but I remained tense.

"What? You mean those wolves are Triple L? What could they be doing outside at this time of night?"

"Patrolling the pack and supervising it in case of any intruders or rogues. It's customary for them to protect the pack and ensure safety," Molly replied.

"So that means they don't sleep at night?" I asked inquisitively.

"They do. I am sure they only came here because of you. They felt your troubled heart and wanted to know why you were worried," Molly explained.

"What? You mean Triple L knows that I'm worried? How is that even possible?" I asked aloud, sitting up in my bed. I moved over to the window and looked out, but they were no longer there.

"They can read your mind, hear your inner thoughts, and feel all your worries. You will understand better when you turn 18," Molly said. I sighed and went back to my bed.

"There's no way that I can understand any of this. I hope to wake up tomorrow and not remember a thing—to return to my peaceful life, not a life where I have three hot boyfriends," I said, and Molly remained silent since she didn't want that. She wanted them.

I lay back in bed. After a few minutes of tossing around and trying to find a comfortable sleeping position, I finally fell asleep.

The next morning, I awoke and felt a slight headache. As I glanced at the wall clock, I saw it was after 9:00 AM.

"Oh no! I overslept!" I gasped and quickly got out of bed. I knew that I wasn't going to the academy today or tomorrow, but I had promised to go out with Vivian today.

I hastily went into my bathroom to brush my teeth. The sound of a car starting in the garage caught my attention. Glancing out the window, I saw my mother hugging Alpha David and kissing him passionately.

Mom stepped aside, and shockingly, as I craned my ears further, I realized I could hear them—despite the fact that I was on the top floor.

"Take care, babe," Mom said to Alpha David as she stood aside and waved goodbye to him.

Alpha David hopped into his black Benz and waved back to my mother, before driving off.

Sighing, I finished brushing my teeth, took a bath, and left the bathroom.

As I walked into my bedroom to find a dress in my closet, the sound of my mother knocking on my door caught my attention.

"Mia, are you awake?" Mom called me.

I moved over to the door and pulled it open for her. Mom was covered with red marks over her neck, and I rolled my eyes at the sight.

"Good morning, Mom," I grumbled, moving back into the room to find a dress.

"Morning, Mia. How was your night?" Mom asked as she moved over to my window and pulled the curtains aside. She also unlocked the window panes that was closed last night.

"Fine," I replied with a grumble.

Mom asked, "What's wrong, Mia?"

"Nothing, Mom." I stood by my closet, wanting to go inside to find a dress.

Mom came over to the closet to meet me and asked, "You do not have to lie to me. What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm still overwhelmed by the fact that I am truly a werewolf. How is that even possible?" I asked her once more, and she smiled.

"It's hereditary. You are a werewolf, and that's all you need to know," Mom said, stepping into my closet to help me.

"Mom, is it possible that a werewolf can have more than one mate?" I asked her curiously as I picked out a yellow dress and glanced at her face.

"Yes, it's possible. Why are you asking? Are you interested in having more than one mate? Wait a minute... I hope you're not interested in dating Triple L! They are going to be your stepbrothers!" Mom gasped, and I sighed.

"Not them," I lied, lowering my head.

Mom came over to me. "Mia, you can have more than one mate, but in most cases, we only have one. However, I know of a woman who has two mates, and some women date two to three men at a time. They call them their mates, and the mates all understand and don't get jealous. They love the woman, treat her equally, and mate with her, too. It's a reverse harem thing. But why are you asking me about that? If it's not about Triple L, then who is it about?" Mom's curious eyes peered into mine, and I sighed.

"I'm just asking because I was researching werewolves last night, and I found out that it's possible for a wolf to have more than one husband and several pups," I said, looking up at my mother's face since she was taller than me.

"It's true, but only on rare occasions. In our pack, we have many people, so we don't lack any. Why would one person want to have multiple mates? Anyway, that won't be your lot. I am certain you will have only one mate. Just be positive about it and don't think about the possibility of having three mates. Alright?" Mom said with a grin.
