BLAKE POV

I found it by accident.

I was looking for a charger. The notebook fell off the shelf and I picked it up to put it back.

I read it for some minutes.

Every page had a date. Every date had a time. My name was on almost every line. Not written with hate. Written like evidence.

7:15pm. Blake walked past household directly to garden. Nathaniel was inside.

School event. Physical contact with Aria in front of thirty parents.

Singapore files. Original language mine. Submitted under Blake's na

  • My ex husband lost me to his rival    Chapter 50: After The Transfer

(OLIVIA POV)My mother was telling me about a man at the facility who fed the birds every morning when my phone rang.I looked at it. Luciano."Excuse me," I said. She nodded and picked up her tea, watching me with the particular attention she had carried since I met her in connecticut, like she was still memorizing my face after six years of having to imagine it.I walked into Ivan's kitchen and answered."It's done," he said.I stood there for a moment. Not really triumph, something quieter than that. The first full breath after years of controlled breathing, the kind you don't notice you've been holding until it finally releases."Olivia?""I'm here," I'm listening . "I'm just—" I stopped. "It's really done.""How are you?"A pause on his end. "Tired," he said. "Relieved. I don't entirely know yet.""Come over when you can.""I will."I ended the call and stood in Ivan's kitchen for a moment longer before I went back to the living room.My mother looked up when I sat back down."O

  • My ex husband lost me to his rival    Chapter 49 : Boardroom

(LUCIANO POV)The doors were already open when I arrived.Lorenzo sat at the head of the table arranging papers without looking up. He knew I was there. He looked up and nodded once.I nodded back and took my seat. Two board members were already in their seats — Hargreaves checking his notes, Park scrolling something on his phone without urgency. Neither of them looked up. The room had the particular stillness of a meeting everyone understood the outcome of before the chairman called it to order.Blake arrived three minutes late.He came through the door without the certainty I had watched him carry into every room since our childhood. No performance or arrangement of authority across his face. Just a man who had finished an argument with himself somewhere between the car and the door.He looked at me across the table and held his gaze.He looked at Lorenzo the way a man looked at something he had finally named correctly.Lorenzo's hand moved once against his folder, then stilled immed

  • My ex husband lost me to his rival    Chapter 48: The Emergency Message

(LUCIANO POV)The message came through at midnight.I was still at my desk when my phone lit up Olivia forwarding something from her lawyer. I opened it and read it once and put the phone down and sat there for a moment.Lorenzo had moved the board session up to Thursday.I picked up the phone and called my lawyer. He answered immediately."Am sure you must have seen the messages going around ? “he asked”"Yes." I stared at the city outside the window. "We move everything up. I need the full package ready by Wednesday morning. Alliance confirmations. The financial analysis. The comparative stability report. All of it.""That's tight.""I know. Can you do it?"He paused for a while. "Yes.""Then do it." I ended the call.I sat back and thought about Lorenzo.A patient man who had finally run out of patience. Moving the session up was the action of someone who knew the walls were closing and was trying to control the sequence before they did. It was also a mistake. Patient men who

  • My ex husband lost me to his rival    Chapter 47: The Reckoning

(OLIVIA POV)My mother's face was the first thing in my mind when I opened my eyes. Her white hair and the book in her lap. The way she said my name when she saw me standing in the garden doorway like she had been rehearsing it quietly for six years and it still came out perfectly.I lay still for a moment. Then I got up Showered, dressed up and made tea. Sat at the kitchen table with my phone and my notebook and started making calls.---My lawyer answered on the second ring."I want to go full offense," I said. "Everything we have, mail and every board communication. Every crisis resolution and Singapore correspondence. Formally submitted not just for the custody case, For the record."She was quiet for a moment. "Olivia this is significant. Once we submit formally it becomes part of the public proceedings.""I know.""Are you certain?"I thought about my mother's hand gripping mine across a garden table. About six years of visiting days she spent waiting for a daughter who never

  • My ex husband lost me to his rival    CHAPTER 46: Connecticut

(OLIVIA POV)Luciano didn't ask questions when I got in the car.He just greeted me and drove. The city thinned out gradually around us, buildings giving way to suburbs. I watched everything through the window without saying anything. He kept both hands on the wheel and the radio off and gave me the gift of a silence that didn't require explanation,he already knew a lot was going through my head. After about forty minutes I said — "She doesn't know what happened. She just knows I stopped coming."He didn't say anything and kept focus on his driving.I looked back out the window, wallowing in my thoughts. The facility was not what I had been building in my head for weeks. It wasn't clinical or institutional ,just Private and carefully maintained, the kind of place that cost the kind of money Alexander Sterling had always considered routine. A garden visible through the front windows. Flowers still holding on in the late season. Residents moving through common areas with the unhurried

  • My ex husband lost me to his rival    Chapter 45: Visit to Crest Estate

(OLIVIA POV)“He's gone come when you can”I brought out my phone and read madam Chen’s message she sent me two nights ago, twice again and closed my work laptop.I sat completely still for a moment.I thought about his voice two nights ago. Low and careful, stripped of everything I had spent six years hearing it carry. The way he said goodnight quietly, like a man putting something down he had been holding too long.I thought about the fact that I had called him back. That we had spoken twice in the last days of his life and both times felt more honest than anything that had happened across six years of dinners and board meetings and careful Sterling functions,as if he knew he was dying.I got up and wore my coat, carried my bag and walked towards the office door.---Crest Estate felt different when I arrived. Not really emptier but something else. Like a building that had been holding its breath for a very long time and had finally let it go.Madam Chen opened the door when she he
