Until I feel eyes on me.

It seeps into my sleep before I understand it, before I can name it. A quiet wrongness. Something instinctive, ancient. My body knows before my mind does.

I’m not alone.

The awareness coils low in my spine, tightening, pulling me toward consciousness without fully waking me. My breathing shifts, shallow and uneven, though I remain caught in that heavy, dreamlike haze. My leg, half-kicked out from under the blanket, suddenly feels too exposed. Too vulnerable. Coo

It makes no sense that she could sleep and seem like the most awake person in the world, feeling and hearing everything he does, and even being able to move to touch him, and worse... remember everything when she wakes up, it makes no sense.

  • My professor, my stalker   Chapter 51: Dinner

“Well, guys,” Mr. Madden announces, his voice cutting cleanly through the overlapping chatter. He’s the only one still standing, and somehow that alone is enough to draw everyone’s attention. We all look up at him. “Cheers.” He raises his glass, effortless, and one by one, we follow, a scattered echo of cheers filling the room as glass meets glass in the air. “This is so exciting,” Tessa grins, already taking a sip of her wine, her eyes practically glowing. Mr. Madden sits down again, and the moment he does, his knee brushes mine under the table. The contact is light. Accidental. And yet.. My entire body reacts. I jerk my legs away too quickly, shifting to the other side, only to bump straight into Nick. Shit. Heat floods my face as I awkwardly pull my knees inward, pressing them together like that will somehow make me take up less space. Like I can just… disappear into the middle. I take a large gulp of wine. Around me, everyone starts filling their plates, the soft scrape

  • My professor, my stalker   Chapter 50: Everybody

“Sup, dude.” Nick’s voice cuts through the apartment as he walks in, echoing off the glass and polished surfaces like he owns the place just as much as the man who actually does. “Why are you so early?” Mr. Madden asks sharply from the hallway, his tone already edged with irritation. The door clicks shut behind them. Nick steps into view first, shrugging like the question doesn’t concern him in the slightest. “Delilah wanted to come,” he says casually. “Said she wanted to see—” His eyes land on me, and he pauses. “Oh. Hi, Raven.” He gives me a small wave, like we’re meeting in a supermarket instead of… whatever this is. I smile back, a little awkwardly, still holding my glass of wine like it’s the only thing keeping me anchored. Delilah appears behind him a second later, and the moment she spots me, relief floods her face. Real, visible relief. I raise my eyebrows at the two. When did this happen? The two of them on good terms? She doesn’t hesitate. She walks straight past bo

  • My professor, my stalker   Chapter 49: Home

He drops the hood of the car with a hard thud, the sound echoing slightly through the parking garage. “Your car is ready,” he says, his tone clipped, efficient. “It was the battery. I’ve connected it to the backup for now, but you really need a new one. This car doesn’t have long left.” Tina barely glances at the engine before walking up to him, entirely unconcerned. “Thank you, lovely.” She pats his chest—once, twice, three times—like she’s rewarding him for good behavior. “I do hope you have what it takes to satisfy the lady. I don’t think this one will settle.” For a second, no one moves. Mr. Madden just… looks at her, like he genuinely cannot process what just came out of her mouth. I stand there, completely frozen, somewhere between shock and disbelief, my brain struggling to keep up with the conversation. “Thank you, Tina,” he says finally, his voice polite but tight, like he’s forcing each word out. “I’ve got it under control.” Under control. Right. I press my lips toget

  • My professor, my stalker   Chapter 48: Worthy

“This convention,” I say, mostly to distract myself from the chaos still lingering in my chest. “Do you know any people there?” I keep my eyes forward, deliberately ignoring how close he is. The warmth of the car. The subtle scent of something dark and clean that clings to him—and now, to the space around us. It’s too easy to notice. Too easy to focus on. And somehow, despite everything, despite the tension and the fear and the things he says that make my pulse spike—I feel… safe. Enough to lean back into the seat. Enough to let my shoulders drop just slightly. “You could say that,” he replies evenly. He glances at me, his expression unreadable. “My father is the organiser. I’ve been around these people since I was young.” I raise an eyebrow, turning my head slightly toward him. “Is there any place where your family doesn’t have influence?” He shrugs. “My family did a lot of… groundwork before taking over. Over time, they accumulated power. But they don’t flaunt it. Most people d

  • My professor, my stalker   Chapter 47: Pick me up

I don't know what to wear. My suitcase sits by the door, packed and ready, like it has more certainty about tonight than I do. Everything I need is inside, neatly folded, practical, safe. The dress doesn’t belong in there. I almost left it behind. I actually stood in front of my closet for far too long, scanning through my own dresses, trying to convince myself that one of them would be enough. Something simple. Something normal. Mine. But nothing felt right. Not after what he said. So I packed it anyway. Apparently, I can’t show up in my basic black dress. I glance down at myself again, frustration bubbling under my skin. What to wear now, though? Leggings and a t-shirt are out of the question—Sam would never let me live that down. Sweatpants are even worse. Jeans on a late-night flight sound like a nightmare. I let out a breath and smooth my hands over the fabric I finally choose: a dress. It’s comfortable, soft enough to sleep in if I want to, and just professional enough to p

  • My professor, my stalker   Chapter 46: Police

“But she’s obviously being followed,” Sam tries again, his patience hanging by a thread. The police officer yawns. Actually yawns. Right in front of us. Something inside me shrinks. I bite my finger nails. A habit I lost years ago, but this entire situation has my anxiety rising. The room smells faintly of stale coffee and something disinfectant. Fluorescent lights buzz overhead, too bright, too harsh, making everything feel surreal. Like this isn’t happening. Like I’m watching it from somewhere outside my own body. “Is there any concrete proof?” the officer asks, finally looking at me. My throat tightens. I’ve barely spoken since we got here. I let Sam take over, let him explain, push, argue—because he’s better at it. Because I thought someone would listen to him. “Ehm…” My voice comes out small. Useless. “There was a tracker on my car, but… I threw it away.” His eyebrow lifts slowly. “You threw the tracker away?” he repeats. “Why?” “It was raining and…” My fingers curl ti
