Luca watched his boss and the Don's wife, then looked back at Lucy, tears still streaming from her eyes. His chest tightened. It infuriated him to the core that his Lucy was suffering through this entire charade.

“Boss, you should have told them the truth,” Luca demanded, his tone laced with heavy annoyance. “Why did you let my Lucy cry for hours?”
