LOGINChapter 3.
Iris pov.
“Where is everyone going?” I asked as I watched every person in the club being ushered out by men in black.
“I made them leave. You wanted to be alone.” The hot man close to me said.
He had been entertaining my blabbering for a while now.
I took a good look at him with my almost blurred vision, it will be an understatement to call him handsome. His blue eyes were fixated on me as if he was in a trance, but I could not shake off the dangerous feeling I was getting from him.
“That's a lie, they probably got bored and decided to leave.” I was almost slurring. The alcohol was really hitting me hard.
“If you say so. What did you want me to do?” He asked. “Something about making you forget someone.”
I clapped my hands excitedly. “Oh I remember. I really do.”
Without wasting any more time, I place my lips on his. My eyes were still open when our lips met and I could see different emotions on his face, confusion, fear, surprise and delight.
I pulled away for some air, but this stranger was not having it. He dragged me back in and began the most amazing French kiss I had ever had. I melted, unable to pull away from him.
“Damn! You taste so good.” I was talking in his mouth, when everything suddenly turned black.
***
I knew it was 2am because my special alarm sound was on. My head was hurting terribly, I was in bed but it did not look like mine.
“Where am I?” I asked no one in particular as I quietly got off the bed, after noticing I was in a Tee shirt that was two times my size.
I rushed into the bathroom to check myself, but I came out looking even more confused. “What did I do?”
As I looked around in confusion, I noticed him sitting at a corner of the room. His bare back which was facing me, gave me all the introduction I needed. There were scars from gunshots, knife fights and more on it. He had a towel wrapped on his waist and earbuds in his ears.
That explains why he did not react to all the sounds I made. Without thinking I walked up to him and tried to see what he was doing. My eyes landed on the laptop screen where an angry man seemed to be swearing at him. When our eyes met, he smirked and said something. The towel man quickly shut the laptop and turned around to face me, almost immediately.
“You're up?” He half asked, half said.
“Were you expecting me to sleep forever?”
“You're sassy.” He noted.
“Oh yeah! Is that why you forced yourself on me?”
“What do you mean by that?” He looked genuinely confused. “I will never take advantage of a woman, who's not in a normal state.”
“You're trying to play smart with me, why am I not in my clothes?”
“Because I had the maid change your clothes, you threw up on the other one.”
That sounded plausible.
“Why am I here then?”
“Because you passed out.”
“Why didn't you take me home?”
“I don't know where you live, I don't even know your name.”
I crossed my arms, looking for what to find fault with, but the interior design of the room was really fascinating. “Well, that makes sense.”
“Are you okay?” He asked, looking at me in pure concern.
I was stunned for a second before replying. “I think so. Did you touch me?”
“Do you want me to?” There was a dangerous glint in his eyes.
He stood and moved closer to me, until there was no space between us. I stopped breathing, because my eyes were lost in his. The sound of my phone ringing broke the moment.
I scurried over to the bedside table where my phone was. It was Mike. Memories about what he did started flooding my mind but I picked up regardless.
“Hi.”
“Hey babe, where have you been? I checked your house, but you weren't home.”
“I went out.” I told him in an emotionless tone. “I will be home later in the day.”
“What time babe? We need to meet with the designer for your wedding gown.”
I took a look at the wall clock, it was 2:30am.
“Maybe in the evening, I'm sleepy right now. Did you even check the time?” I queried.
“I'm sorry, I was just worried since I could not get to you. Sleep tight, I love you babe.”
“Me too.” I yawned and ended the call.
There was no way I could say I love him, not after what he did to me.
“You're getting married, huh?” A shrill voice asked from behind.
“Shit! You scared me.” I jumped because I was startled.
I had forgotten about the man that was making me feel butterflies, a few moments ago.
“I supposed to.” I answered his question.
“You don't look happy.”
“It's a long story…” I started but he cut me off.
“Let me make you happy.” He closed the space between us again.
My eyes darted between his eyes and lips in indecision, he must have noticed it because he smiled and locked his lips with mine.
My hands wandered all over his body as we kissed, until it got to his crotch. It was hard. The thought of that alone was getting me wet. As if the towel wanted things to get spicy, it dropped to the floor. I broke from the kiss and stared at his naked frame, which was perfect…if you ignored the scars he had.
“Take off every piece of clothing on your body.” He ordered. “I want to see you.”
His intense gaze was making me obey everything he said. I took off every piece of clothing under his eyes. For the first time, I felt confident standing naked in front of a man. Mike made me conscious of every little detail but this man made me feel perfect.
“You are beautiful.” He said. “But you're missing something.”
“What's that?” I was curious.
“My full length inside you.
My legs got wobbly, I was not expecting that.
He carried me to the bed and spent a decent time on foreplay with me, making me so needy and wet.
Mike never did that.
I was beyond redemption at this point. I wanted him, every part of him. But he stopped.
“Are you sure about this?” He asked me.
I almost lost my mind. “Seriously?”
“Once I go in, you are mine forever.” He sounded serious. “I don't share, especially when it comes to my woman.”
“You're talking too much.”
“Can I fuck you, my lady?”
“By all means, yes.” I wanted him completely in me.
That was all he needed, because he had me in all possible ways and positions.
I felt like a queen.
Finale.I did it all.Fucked Mike and Lena up on the wedding day, left LA for Italy with Vince and my mom after getting all the money in the joint account, I had persuaded Mike to open.Within a year, I had my father's empire rebuilt and handled whatever distraction that came up. By distraction, I meant enemies. Including the woman, who claimed to have loved Vince once.Yes! I could kill without batting an eye now. It made Vince question my humanity at some point. But, I reassured him I was still in touch with humanity.“Hey babe,” Vince called me one sunny morning.“What's good?”“Get dressed, we're going to Columbia,” he informed me.My eyes left the papers I was reading and moved straight to his face. “What's wrong? Something going on with your men? Do you need me to handle it?”“They'll shit in their pants, if they hear you're the one coming over.” He sat back on a chair. “I hate to admit it but, you seem to scare them more than I do these days.”I couldn't contain the smile that
Iris pov. “Do you know him, mom?” I asked confused. She wanted to reply, but placed her hand on her lips to stop any sound from coming out. Her eyes were still on Vince which was leaving me more confused, so I faced Vince. “Have you met my mother before ?” “No, this is my first time.” He replied immediately. “What's wrong with you mom? Is everything okay?” I asked her. Vince came closer to me and patted my hands. “I think you mom has a lot to tell you, I'll be right by the door. Call me if you need me.” “You should tell her everything, there's no point in hiding it or would you like me to?” He asked my mom, then left before she could even say a word. I tried to calm myself to fully understand what was going on here, but the tension was killing me from the inside. I could even feel my headache becoming worse. “Mom, how do you know him?” I asked again. “I don't think I have ever introduced you two.” “Baby.” She managed to say between sobs. “There's something I have to tell you.
Iris pov. When I opened my eyes first, everywhere looked strange. As I tried to understand my surroundings, I saw him. “Vince.” The word came out of my mouth, before I could think of anything. His eyes were bloodshot and he looked like he had not slept at all. So, when that phone call kept coming in, I asked him to take it.My mind tried to process what I had just gone through, I looked at the IV lines I was connected to and instinctively touched my head.“Phew! It's a good thing they cut from down here, if it had been any higher I'll have to do a messy bun on that miserable wedding day.” I whispered to myself.Even if I was not doing this with all of my heart, I still cared about appearances.Vince got off the call and stared at me, like he did something wrong.“Why do you look grim?” I asked. “Who was on the phone?”“Your mom.”“What?” I had completely forgotten about her, to think that she called now of all times. A mother's instinct for sure was always right. “Can you call her b
Vince's pov.I’d paid them half a million, wired before the scalpel even touched her skin to buy this wing of the hospital for the night. This was different from her surgery bill, but I did not care at this point.“How did things go with the men who got her?” I asked Phil, when he came to check on me.“We have one with us, with time he'll spill and let us in.”“Don't go easy on him.” I looked at Phil with bloodshot eyes. “They're the reason she has to fight for her life in there.”“Alright boss.”He stepped out and brought me coffee, then left to handle things after some time. I paced until my legs burned, then sank into the chair again with my head in my hands. My Iris was going under those knives because of me. The guilt filled my chest, causing me pain I had never felt before. Right now, I was just a man terrified of losing the only light in his darkness. My phone buzzed with updates from the streets, about what had just gone down but I silenced it. Nothing mattered except the woma
Vinces pov.“Boss, we found her.” Phil informed me, making my eyes to open.“Let's head out!” I thundered as I stood Phil looked at me for a second. “We can handle the rescue operation ourselves, you don't have to get involved. What if something goes wron—”I did not allow him to finish the words, before cutting him off. “She's already in danger and you expect me to choose safety?”“I'm sorry boss.”“Get everything ready, we're going together.”This time he did not try to argue. “Yes boss.”Within minutes, he had prepared my men and gathered all we needed as we headed out towards the location they had tracked. When the car came to a stop, I looked around and observed that it was some good distance away from where people lived.“Do you think gunshots will travel very far from here?” I asked Phil.“It's hard to tell, but I find that very unlikely.” Came the response.“Let's move in.” I signalled to my men as I took the lead.My boots hit the concrete like thunder as I kicked in the sid
Iris pov.One thought crossed my mind after overhearing them. Vince was definitely looking for me.“At least, I know I'm safe now.”That made me feel some form of relief, as I closed my eyes and drifted away to sleep land with a smile. There was nothing peaceful about the way I slept, since I was tied up and could barely move around. But being in situations like this, gave you little to no choice on comfort.I was somewhere in that strange, heavy corridor between consciousness and sleep when the door slammed open so forcefully that it hit the concrete wall behind it.I opened my eyes and looked around, the air felt like it was another morning since it was hard to know what time it was. There were three men this time, the first two who had come before and a third I hadn't seen before. He was younger with the particular brand of restless energy that made him immediately the most dangerous person in the room. “Good morning.” I greeted them, before I could think.I mean, there is no one
Vince's pov.“I think I can try to do that.” She said as she tried to stand and get dressed but fell almost as soon as she tried it. “Lean on me.” I told her as I helped her upI kept my hand on the small of Iris’s back all the way to the torture room, to support her body. She did not say much on
Iris pov.“Phil.” Lena sighed. “God, he’s so put together, tall, tattoos but in a classy way, opens doors, pays for everything without making it weird. Last night he took me to this rooftop place downtown, if it was up to me we would have kissed. But there was no pressure, no rushing things from hi
Iris pov.“What is it? I'm all ears.” I said, turning to face her properly. One thing was certain, if she actually opened up to about everything I would definitely forgive her. I'm a girl's girl and won't hesitate to desert Mike for her. After all, she was the first friend I made when I was new in
Iris pov.Boredom started hitting me hard, after my mom left the house. I picked up my phone and checked the time, it was just 8am. Lena was probably preparing for work by this time.“Hey girl, good morning.” I purred into my phone as soon as Lena picked, when I called her.“Hi love, good morning t
