Fidgeting as the blood dripped into the bowl from my finger I stared hard at Wisdom.

Jasper had contributed his blood then left with Nathan to search the perimeter for Lark and our pup.

Meeting my eyes Wisdom gave me an awkward smile after taking a swig from her flask.

“Lark won't harm the child so you need not worry about that.”

“Then why would he take her and what is he besides a warlock?”

Hissing through her teeth she told me that was enough blood and handed me a rag.
