Adrian’s POV:

Adrian paced back and forth around his estate. He did it again and again, and every time he did, the polished marble floors reflected his restless movements back at him like a mirror whose sole purpose was to mock him.

His hands were clenched behind his back, his jaws were tight, and his eyes were dark with something far deeper than irritation; rage. This was not the fleeting kind, no, this was the kind that burned hot and refused to die, no matter how much he tried to quench it.

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   BEATING HER DOWN!

Nyssa's POV:For several long seconds, I even stopped breathing. Confusion filled my gaze as I stared at Lyra with shock. My surprise lasted a couple of seconds before I burst into laughter. My laughter wasn’t that loud, but it was just loud enough for the sound to spread and echo through the hall.Lyra's face tightened, and she clenched her fists in anger."What?" she demanded. “What’s funny?”I shook my head slowly, and took a deep breath, "I think you need to have your head checked." I answered, as I let out another chuckle.Lyra blinked, and the room immediately grew silent, “How dare-”I didn’t wait for her to finish. Instead, I interrupted her, "In fact, you should probably see a doctor."Her face immediately darkened. "I asked you a serious question." She hissed under her breath,I shrugged, "And I am giving you a very serious answer,” then, I shook my head before folding my arms, “You are free to believe what you want to, Lyra. If believing that I am somehow jealous of you hel

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   IS THIS A PRANK?

Nyssa's POV:Out of everyone I might have expected to be standing in the meeting hall, she was the very last one.Unlike the other women who were clearly agitated and pissed, Lyra simply stood by the side and watched me. She had been standing at an angle, and that was why I had not initially noticed her when I had walked in.The moment I spotted her, I froze, and it wasn’t because I was afraid, it was because I could not understand why and how she was here.Just yesterday, we had destroyed her mate’s estate, and now, she was here? Why?I was lost in my thoughts for several seconds. I had frozen up, but so did the rest of the women, well, all except Vivienne, who was still storming towards me.She slowed down when she was a couple of meters away from me, but she was still walking. "Are you even listening to me?" she snapped, her voice rising an octave when she realized that I wasn’t even looking at her.I slowly turned to face her, and when she realized that she now had my attention, s

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   CONFRONTED

Nyssa's POV:"What visitors?" I asked with a deep frown on my face. “Who exactly are they?”That word alone was enough to ruin the perfect and peaceful morning Damien and I had been enjoying. The captain remained kneeling, but he lowered his head further after my question,The captain swallowed before answering, “It is the local members of the Crescent Court." His voice remained steady as he spoke, but I could tell that he was very nervous, "They came with all their members, and they are requesting an immediate audience with both the Alpha and the Luna."I shook my head and stifled a groan. Of course, it was going to be the Crescent Court. I closed my eyes and thought about the next course of action. To be honest, the very first instinct I got was to refuse and order the guards to send them all out. After everything that had happened over the past week and with the events of yesterday, I had absolutely no interest in entertaining Vivienne or the rest of her entourage. Besides, I knew t

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   VISITORS!

Nyssa's POV:The very first thing I felt when I woke up was warmth. This wasn’t the warmth from the morning sun, nor was it the warmth from the warm, thick blankets that wrapped around us. No, this was the warmth from him.Even before I had opened my eyes, I was already smiling. Over the past couple of days, our bond has been growing extraordinarily. Now, it wasn’t just the faint thread that connected us.Now, our bond was a thick pulse that threaded us together. It was warm, reassuring and home. Even while I was asleep, it reminded me every second that no matter what I did, and no matter where I was, I was not alone. It took a while, and a couple more minutes of just snuggling up to my mind, but eventually, I opened my eyes. And just like I expected, the very first thing I saw was the amused face of my mate smiling down at me.His eyes were glowing silver, and the corner of his lips was lifted into a small smile of amusement. I blushed a little at being caught, even though I had alrea

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   THE REASON

The Shadows' POV:The warehouse was silent. It was the sort of silence that always settled over places that had been abandoned for ages, the sort of silence that the man in the shadows liked. For minutes, the hooded man stood motionless right in front of the warehouse. He had his hands tucked calmly inside his dark coat, and he waited for the car that was no doubt already driving straight towards him.Adrian was an alpha, yes, but the man had always been predictable. He was the sort of man that the shadow liked to work with, one that was fueled by nothing else but anger. And a man liked that would always come looking for answers. It didn’t take long for Adrian’s car to drive in and stop a couple of feet away from him. Seconds later, Adrian and Lyra stepped out of the car and began to walk towards him. They were right on time. The hooded man's lips curled upward as he watched Lyra follow after her mate with cautious eyes and an even more cautious step. When they finally got close enough

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   THE START

Nyssa's POV:For the first time in forever, life was peaceful. And for once, it wasn’t because I had shied away from confronting my enemies, or because they had suddenly disappeared. No, for once in my life, my mate and I were fighting back. I had not spent much time on my phone during the day, but I could still get the gist of what was happening out there in the city.It didn’t help that smoke was still rising into the skyline from the destruction of a couple of factories. Elena had been my main source of information during the day.She had told me about entire packs leaving the city in fear of being attacked by us. And every couple of hours, either she or an elder came to meet us with more news about Adrian’s crumbling empire.Initially, when I had heard that the factories were being destroyed, I had been a little bit scared. Not for myself, but for the innocent wolves in the Silver Ridge pack.A lot of the pack’s wolves were arrogant, selfish bastards, but a lot of them were also yo

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   SHOCKED

Voices filled the boardroom, but I didn’t pay them any attention. I was far too lost in my thoughts for that.Numbers kept getting presented on screen, projections were debated and risk calculated. This was a high level board meeting, one that demanded precision and focus. And right now, I could ha

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   AMBUSHED!

By the time I pulled into the parking lot of my apartment, it was pretty clear that the sun was getting ready to set. • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   HOW DARE YOU CHEAT?

I frowned as I stared into his eyes,Dinner? What was he thinking?Back in the past, I knew he liked me, but we were never an item. Why would he suddenly want to take me out?Damien was not trying to intimidate me like Adrian. But there was a power beneath his calm that was making my senses tingle.

  • REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA   A DATE?

The moment I stepped into my apartment, I let out a sharp exhale. I turned around and closed the door shut behind me. The faint hum of the city faded, but I would have loved for it to still be there. It was a welcome change from the suffocating demands and pressure of the Silver Ridge pack.My pers
