LOGIN"...hot..." She murmured softly. "I feel hot..." "Why did you come here?" Tristan probed, not attempting to pull her body, which was still clinging to him away. "Heh... who are you?" She questioned with keen interest. That question made him pause as he regarded her face. He didn't know if it was the drug or if she was just drunk. "Who do you think I am?" She held her chin, looking him over and remarked, "Gorgeous." She squealed, "Come, let me read your fortune." "Fortune?" Tristan's gaze flicked to her face, which was red and flushed. Raven nodded quickly, grabbed his palm, and seriously began to trail her fingers over it. It looked like she was just scribbling nonsense with her finger, and a small throaty laugh escaped his lips at the sight. "Stop laughing." She looked up and admonished him, the look on her face serious. Tristan chuckled and nodded - he actually liked this version of her more. She suddenly stopped playing with his palm and exclaimed excitedly, clapping her palms together. "I know, I know now. I know what you need." Tristan gazed at her. "What is that?" "Me." She patted her chest, a candid look on her face. "You need me." Tristan's lips twitched imperceptibly. Was this a side effect of the drug? *** When Raven was rejected by her fated mate, leaving her in despair, she had a one night stand with a stranger. Little did she know that he was the country's most influential alpha. What will she do when the supposed powerful man keeps clinging to her and insists she takes responsibility after a one night stand?

"Get out of the way ugly bitch!"someone yelled from behind me. I sighed and moved out of the way just to be slammed into a nearby locker. I winced and tried to soothe the pain in my arm. As usual they just laughed and mocked me. I'm used to it, being bullied in school.
I moved on to my locker and got the books for my first class. " Hey there bestie!"a chirpy voice called from beside me. I turned around to face my only friend in Berreton High, Amaya Clayton.
"hey"I replied and tried to give her a smile...tried. She gave me a weary one, "I can't believe they won't give you a break. It's the beginning of a new semester!" She raised her voice. "It's okay maya, I'm used to it and I'm always prepared, besides the real thing hasn't begun-". "until that beast arrives"she said with a snare, " but I heard he won't be in scholl today" she told me. I sighed, " but he will come back".
Amaya groaned, " I'm only respecting your decision for me to not do anything, but I wish I could do something""Amaya-"I started but she cut me short,"don't worry I won't do anything this time but I'm not making any promises"she said. I smiled at her "thanks"I said "but if things go overboard....I will do something about it"she said sternly, I nodded. I felt glad that I still had someone who cared and glad that she was still friends with me.
My other friends ditched me when I became the victim of bullying, only Amaya had the guts to stick with me. Yeah, it cost her some friends but on the bright side she wasn't bullied like me.
It's not like I haven't tried reporting,I have but it's useless. They always repeat the same thing 'Don't worry it's part of high school it'll stop'.uggghh!.... Frustrating. Don't they realize that this has destroyed a lot of lives? It sickens me that they just push it aside as if it doesn't matter.
Grrrrrrrr!!! " Class time!" Amaya chirped, bringing me out of my thoughts and pulling me along with her to our first class "it's biology time"...nerd.
Oh Lord, keep me safe today.

And just like that the first two periods passed by. I managed to get through without much discomfort, but that's only because he isn't back. I'm kinda glad though. Somewhere in my secret heart, I want him to stay wherever he is and not come back.
I made sure the hallway was empty before going to my locker to get my books for third period. But it seemed like luck ran out on me. The clicking of heels rang throughout the hallway. Brace yourself Jennifer.
"Ooh look what we have here, it's Jenny" I rolled my eyes and ignored her. "I didn't think you'd come back after the last semester. You must be either really brave or really stupid" Kenzie and her 'friend' laughed. I rolled my eyes and continued busying myself with searching for my books in the locker.
"Hey! I'm talking to you" she grabbed my shoulder roughly and turned me around to face her. "So what do you want me to say?" I asked calmly, she glared at me.
"Listen here-" " what are you girls doing here?" A teacher called from the door of a classroom. Thank God. Saved by a teacher. "Getting our books sir" I spoke up, he nodded "get to class" he said and went into the classroom. I quickly walked away from them.
I got lucky for now, next time I won't be able to escape them.
School was finally over for the day, so I headed for the parking lot were my silver Toyota Corolla was parked. "Jenny!wait up" I turned around when I heard Amaya calling me. She got to me panting " I kinda need a ride"she said with a smile. "What happened to your car?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. She gave a nervous laugh."you will never believe what happened yesterday " she started " Amaya you just got that car and you already crashed it?" I said already knowing what she wanted to say.
"I won't say crashed" she muttered and scratched the back of her neck awkwardly. I sighed " fine...you owe me for this next time I won't help you"I said. She grinned and hooked her arm with mine and dragged me towards my car, "Sure you won't".
I dropped her at her place before heading home. My house was just two streets away from Amaya's so it didn't take long to enter my street. I parked my car in the driveway as usual my parents' cars weren't there,I sighed and got out of the car.
I looked up at the pristine white building before me and immediately the feeling of loneliness washed over me. My parents were never around, they were always working. My mom is a doctor while dad is a journalist so I hardly see them during the week days but they were usually free during the week ends.
They don't know about me being bullied. I mean I tried telling them but they didn't pay much attention to me so I gave up and never told them about it again.
I was about to open the door when a familiar black Range Rover sports car caught my attention a few blocks away on the other side of the street. Realization washed over me, my heart beat accelerated and my palms became sweaty. He's back.
Oh God no.please no.please, I chanted in my head. Suddenly the front door flew open and a certain golden brown haired boy walked out of the house with a scowl on his face. He hadn't seen me yet so I quickly inserted my key in the door and opened it. I felt his green eyes on me. Don't look, don't look.
I rushed into the house and slammed the door shut and locked it, then I rushed up to my room and closed the door." No this can't be happening" what am I saying, of course he was coming back ..but I didn't think he was coming this soon.
My life is officially over now, there's nothing I can do about it, I could never do anything about it. This is how it always is, I can never hide from him. I sat on the floor and leaned against the door. My hands were shaking, my head was aching, I couldn't breathe well. This is how it is, my panick attack.
I tried breathing in and out but it wasn't working, my vision blurred a bit. Finally the darkness came, my only safe place.

After eating the lasagna, I went to the living room to watch tv. Halfway through the movie, someone started knocking on the door. I frowned a bit. Who could that be. What if it's him? My heart started beating fast. I crept to the door and checked through the peep hole." Amaya?" I said as I opened the door for her.
She gave me a weak smile " hey" "What happened?" I asked and led her to the living room. She plopped down on the two seater and hugged her knees to her chest. " It's mom and dad again" she said, I hugged her " it's gonna be okay" I said quietly. She sniffled a bit " yeah".
Her parents don't get along nowadays and it's taking a toll on her. Last year they almost got divorced but they didn't because of Amaya and her older brother Andre. "Okay enough of this " she said and pushed my arms away from her playfully. And she's back.
She's not the type of person who sits and sulks. " So what d'you wanna do?" I asked her. " Video games" she said, I smirked "Are you sure?" I asked knowing I would beat her. She rolled her eyes " Yes" I grinned "okay if you say so but don't start crying when I beat your sorry ass" I warned her. "It's your ass that'll be beaten" she said "Sure" I said in disbelief.
Four rounds later
" I win... again" I said smugly, she rolled her eyes "No you didn't, you cheated" she said "Seriously?" I asked "Yes... another round" she said "No way babe" I said and went into the kitchen to get us soda. " How are you so good at video games? " She asked as I handed her a soda can, I shrugged "It's a gift".
We talked for a while before she brought up a topic I was trying to avoid. "So he's back, huh?" She asked , I exhaled " unfortunately" I said. "Ugh...I hate this" she said, "Amaya". "My parents are lawyers" she said "You know he'll win it. His dad is a billionaire" I said.
"But-"
"You promised"I reminded her. She sighed "fine.... will you be fine?" She asked " I will survive" I assured her. Just then her phone started ringing, "It's dad. I gotta go" she said and got up. I followed her to the door "Good night Jenny". "Night Maya. See you tomorrow" I replied and gave her one last hug as we stood on the porch.
She walked down the driveway and gave me a wave before walking away. I was about to enter the house when I caught the green eyed monster staring at me. I couldn't look away from him.
He was sitting on the hood of his car with his two friends Jason and Severn beside him. He had this scowl on his face as he stared at me. I looked away and entered the house.
The look he gave me told me that he was already planning my doom tommorow. He's my worst nightmare, Reece Morgan.
AUTHOR'S POV:"Congratulations, Miss Raven. You're three months pregnant," Dr. Foster announced with a warm smile, his eyes reflecting genuine joy. The test results were on top of his desk as he closed the papers.Raven blinked, disbelief etched across her face. "Pregnant? But... how?" she stammered, her mind still catching up. It felt like the walls were suddenly closing in on her.The doctor chuckled. "Well, it seems you fainted earlier because of more than just fatigue. You're going to be a mother." He handed her the test result, and Raven's trembling hands took hold of it.She sat there for a couple of seconds, trying to process the situation. She had fainted at the office earlier that day, so she came to the hospital, but surely, she was not expecting to be told she was pregnant."Thank you, Doctor," she managed to utter, her thoughts racing. As she exited the office, the weight of the news sank in, leaving her stunned. As she walked along the hospital hallway, she ran into Larson
TRISTAN’S POV:I stared at the screen, my eyes glued to the footage Ethan had managed to salvage from the hotel's security system. Frustration simmered within me as I realized there was a critical gap – the moment Seraphine supposedly plunged into the water was missing. Deleted. Gone."Can't you retrieve that part?" I asked Ethan, my voice tight with worry.Ethan sighed, shoulders slumping. "I went to Jasper's place, watched him try, but even he couldn't get it back. It's like it vanished."Disturbed, I knew that missing piece was vital to proving Raven's innocence. No matter how fiercely I could protect her, I couldn't let a stain tarnish her reputation. I pondered the options – interrogate Seraphine, force a confession, but the risks loomed large. Accusations of me using my power to bully could tarnish my position without solid proof. Not to mention, it would affect Raven - they'd accuse her of messing with my head."We need that footage, Ethan. Find a way," I urged, worry coursing
RAVEN'S POV:An uneasy vibe buzzed in me as Tristan and I shuffled down the hospital hallway. Seraphine supposedly woke up, but it still felt surreal. What happened still feels like a dream to me, and I was unable to come to terms that she had almost died. When we reached the door of the VIP ward she was staying in, a crowd awaited – her family. I didn't realize she had so many relatives, and even Tristan's mom, Luna BlackClaw, was there. The moment we appeared, all gazes fell on us, especially me. Their glares screamed judgment, but I held my cool, knowing I didn't do what they accused.Probably sensing my unease, Tristan held my palm and rubbed it, an attempt to reassure me, so I shot him a forced smile, not wanting him to worry.Luna BlackClaw jumped on me first, fuming, "How dare you show your face here?"She looked very furious, and if one didn't know, they'd think Seraphine was her daughter. I would have been intimidated, but the conviction that I did nothing wrong made me meet
Raven’s POV:I held a glass of wine as I looked around the hall. I was attending Madison's engagement ceremony, and there weren't a lot of people in attendance, as the marriage was not aristocratic, and there were a lot of gossip about them in the pack. Not to mention, it was no news that her father wanted her to marry a richer and well-known man, not her mate. They were all everybody was talking about and giving their two cents of advice on like they knew it all.But as I stared at Madison's figure walking around the entire hall arm in arm with her mate, Christian, I could tell she was happy with the man she ended up with. And I was happy for her because it meant that not all mates were assholes, and they complemented one another well. However, as I saw Madison approaching me with Christian, I placed the wine glass in my hand on the table some distance from me. I didn't want to toast her and have to drink the wine.Firstly, because I had promised Tristan that even though he wasn't th
Tristan's fingers danced across the keyboard in the dimly lit pack house office, the hum soft in the background. Suddenly, the tranquil air shattered as the thunderous noise of running feet echoed from the nearby field. He sighed, his attention disrupted by the unwelcome commotion, reaffirming his d
RAVEN’S POV:Ethan drove through the gates of the hall where the wedding would be held, and I looked around, feeling strange that I was back in my former pack again. However, I felt at ease, and there was no nervousness in me. He parked the car, and Tristan looked at me, holding my hand. That made me
AUTHOR'S POV:"What?" Bethany exclaimed, clearly unsettled, as murmurs arose amongst the crowd. Raven managed to ignore the words of the men who spoke earlier as they murmured that he'd likely accept. But she didn't bolt. She feared, and every pore in her body told her to run for it, that he'd accept t
AUTHOR'S POV:Ethan cast a glance at his wristwatch while parking his car in the hotel lot. The anticipation of attending the pack banquet, standing in for Tristan due to his pressing two-day absence, weighed on him. The last thing Ethan wanted was to mingle with the council's elder members, a group
