Daisy’s Pov

The moment my lips touched Killian’s, a warm, electric rush went straight through my veins. My inner wolf roared with joy, recognizing him instantly. I expected him to push me away, but he didn't.

His hand came up, his large fingers gripping the back of my neck to hold me closer. The kiss was deep and possessive, sending a clear message to everyone watching. We were snapping the rules of high society, and we didn't care.

When we finally broke apart, my breath was short and my heart was racing against my ribs, but I forced myself to turn around and face the crowded ballroom while keeping my hand flat against Killian’s chest.

The silence in the room was absolute, so quiet that nobody was moving, nobody was drinking, and even the waiters stood frozen with their trays in hand as hundreds of eyes stared at us in complete disbelief.

"Listen to me, everyone," I said, my voice ringing out clearly through the quiet hall, filled with a strength I never possessed in my previous life. "The Pack Union between Cassian and me is over, the wedding is off, and from this moment on, I am with Killian Blackwood."

A collective gasp rippled through the rows of guests, followed by a sudden wave of people whispering furiously behind their hands, their eyes darting between me and the stage.

Cassian looked like he had been struck by lightning, his hands shaking so violently that the small velvet ring box dropped right out of his fingers, rolling across the floor until it hit the base of a table. His handsome face twisted into an ugly mask of pure rage, his chest heaving as the reality of his public humiliation began to sink in.

"Are you insane, Daisy?" Cassian yelled, taking a massive step toward us as his composure completely shattered. "You are making a fool of yourself in front of our families! You belong to me, Daisy!"

Before I could answer, Killian let out a low, dark chuckle. He shifted his weight, moving his large body so he was standing slightly in front of me. He wrapped a heavy, possessive arm around my waist, pulling me firmly against his side. His thumb pressed into my hip, letting everyone know I was his mate now.

"You heard the lady, little brother," Killian said, his voice deep and smooth. "She doesn't want you. And honestly, can you blame her?"

Victoria rushed to Cassian’s side, her face pale with shock. She looked at me with hidden hatred, but she forced her voice to sound sweet for the crowd. "Daisy, please think about your father! Think about the Vanecrest pack name! You can't just run off with an outcast wolf. Killian is dangerous. He doesn't belong here."

My father, Xaden, started walking down from the VIP section, his face full of deep confusion. He didn't speak yet, but he was watching me closely, trying to understand what his daughter was doing.

Cassian ignored Victoria. His eyes were fixed on Killian’s arm around my waist. His fragile ego was completely shattered in front of the most powerful alpha families in the country. He could handle a lot of things, but he could not handle being humiliated by the older brother he had worked so hard to exile.

"Get your hands off her, Killian," Cassian growled, his voice shaking with anger. "You have nothing. You were thrown out of the family pack, and you have no right to be in this room."

"And yet, here I am," Killian smirked, his amber eyes glittering with delight. "And I am leaving with the best prize in the house."

"No, you are not," Cassian snapped. He turned around and waved his hand frantically toward the back doors. "Security! Get over here right now!"

Four large guard wolves in dark suits immediately stepped out of the crowd. They were Cassian’s personal security team, built like brick walls and trained to handle any trouble.

"Take Daisy away from him," Cassian ordered, pointing a trembling finger at me. "Drag her back to the stage if you have to. And throw this trash out of my sight."

The guests backed away, clearing a large circle around us. Victoria watched with a small, pleased smile starting to form on her lips. She wanted to see me dragged away in shame.

The four guards closed in, their faces serious as they reached toward me.

"Don't touch her," I said, my voice cold.

But they didn't listen. They kept moving forward.

Suddenly, Killian let go of my waist and took a single step out into the open space. He didn't pull out a weapon. He didn't raise his fists. He just straightened his broad shoulders and stared down the guards.

In that split second, the entire energy in the room changed. A heavy, suffocating pressure filled the air, so intense that it felt hard to breathe. Killian radiated a raw, terrifying Lycan Alpha power that spoke of years spent surviving the brutal underground markets. It was the aura of a true king who commanded without ever needing a title.

The four guard wolves stopped dead in their tracks. One of them actually took a step back, his hand shaking. Their inner wolves whimpered in fear, completely frozen by the sheer danger coming off him. They knew, without a doubt, that if they took another step, they would not survive the night.

"I said," Killian whispered, his voice low and lethal, "nobody touches my woman."

The ballroom remained frozen. Cassian looked at his men, his face turning from red to a deathly pale white. "What are you doing? I pay your salaries! Move!"

The guards didn't budge an inch, standing like statues and refusing to look Cassian in the eye because their instincts were telling them to run. Killian turned his head slightly, looking down at his younger brother with an expression of absolute pity that cut deeper than any blade.

Cassian stood there completely alone, powerless in front of the entire elite society, and he was so furious and deeply humiliated that he didn't even notice he was pressing his hands together so hard that his fingernails dug deeply into his own palms.

Small drops of dark red blood began to ooze from his skin, dripping slowly onto the clean floor beneath his feet.

Killian turned back to me, the terrifying pressure vanishing from his features as he extended his large hand toward me. "Let's go, Daisy, because this party is getting boring."

I smiled, placed my hand inside his warm palm, and let him lead me out of the golden hall, leaving my past killers ruined in the dirt behind us.

Daisy PovI walked out of the kitchen, my heart still racing from the encounter with Victoria. The nerve of that girl to stand in my face and pretend she was just looking for medicine.I kept my head down as I moved through the quiet hallway, wanting nothing more than to reach the penthouse and lock the door behind me. I just needed a minute to breathe and clear my mind. Before I could reach the main staircase, a tall figure stepped out from a side corridor and completely blocked my path. I stopped quickly, my hands curling into fists, ready for another argument. But when I looked up, I saw Logan standing there. He didn't have his usual cold glare today. In fact, he looked almost relaxed. He shoved his hands into his pockets and gave me a small, polite nod."Hold on a second, Daisy," Logan said, his voice completely calm and even. "I am not here to fight with you. I just realized we have been living under the same roof for a while now, and I never actually introduced myself properly.

Daisy PovThe heat between us was completely blinding, a roaring fire that made it impossible to think. Killian’s grip on my jaw was tight, his body pressing me flat against the cleared desk. Our lips were still locked together in that rough, breathless clash when a loud knock suddenly sounded on the door."Alpha?" Jaden’s voice came from the other side, sounding nervous and hesitant. "I am sorry to bother you, but I forgot the routing slip for the Vance file. I need your signature before the courier leaves."The outside world slammed back into the room like a bucket of freezing water.Killian froze. His eyes, which had been glowing with a wild, animal hunger just a second ago, suddenly blinked. He pulled his mouth away from mine, his breathing rough as he stared down at my face. I could see the exact moment his cold alpha pride came rushing back, wiping away the raw desire and replacing it with total frustration. He looked furious at himself for letting the fated bond break his tight

Daisys PovI opened the door to the main office, still feeling the heat from my fight with Brandon out in the yard. The room was large and bright, but the mood inside felt completely suffocating.Jaden was already there, standing near the corner with a neat stack of papers in his hands. He gave me a quick, worried look as I walked in, then turned his eyes back to the desk.Killian was sitting in his main chair, looking incredibly dark and quiet. He hadn't put on his suit jacket today, and the sleeves of his dark shirt were rolled up to his elbows, showing the thick muscle of his arms. His eyes snapped to my face the second I crossed the room, glowing with a strange, low fire that made my skin tingle. He didn't say a single word to welcome me. He just gave me a short nod toward the empty chair next to him. Before I could even sit down, the door behind me opened again, and our guest walked in.His name was Richard Vance. He was an older alpha who controlled the northern shipping lanes,

Daisy’s PovBeing stuck up in that penthouse was driving me crazy. After the massive blowout at the dinner table, the walls felt like they were closing in on me.Killian had drawn a line, choosing his business moves over my warnings, and I couldn't just sit around waiting for Victoria to make her next move. I needed to breathe. I needed to remind myself that I wasn't the weak girl who died in the mud three years from now.And if he wanted to fuck things up then he is an Alpha, he should pack his shit.I changed into a simple gray shirt and loose pants, grabbing a glass of water before heading down to the grounds. The sun was hot against my face as I walked out toward the training yard, a large dirt field surrounded by a tall metal fence. This was where the fighters spent their days, pushing their bodies to the limit. As I walked closer, the loud sounds of grunting and feet hitting the dirt grew louder. I stopped near the edge of the fence, resting my hands against the wire. The moment

Daisy’s PovThe entire dining room froze. Lana’s glass stayed stuck halfway to her mouth, and Logan completely stopped chewing. Nobody moved. Nobody even seemed to breathe. The shock in the air was so thick it felt like it was choking the room. Victoria let out a tiny, soft whimper from the end of the table, but I didn't look at her.My eyes were locked entirely on Killian.A painful sting hit the back of my eyes, but I refused to let a single tear fall in front of these people. The heartbreak was there, burning deep in my chest, but my anger was ten times bigger. He had just dragged my pride through the dirt in front of his entire inner circle, turning his back on our deal just to show me who was boss."The deal changed," I repeated, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper that cut straight through the quiet hall. I let out a low, bitter laugh, shaking my head as I looked down at his cold face. "You really are a fool, Killian. You sit up here on your throne thinking you see everythi

Daisy’s PovI barely slept a wink all night. Every time I closed my eyes, I pictured Victoria’s fake tears at the front gate, followed by that secret smile she flashed me right before the guards led her away. Knowing she was sleeping just a few halls down from me made my skin crawl. The moment the sun came up, I threw off the covers and got dressed in a hurry. I didn't care about looking perfect today, I just needed to look ready.I marched straight down to Killian’s office, my chest tight with growing anger. I didn't bother knocking. I pushed the door wide open and stepped inside, catching him just as he was picking up his suit jacket from the back of his chair. He looked up, his dark eyebrows rising slightly when he saw the look on my face. The air in the room instantly became warm, that wild pull between our wolves snapping tight between us like a live wire."You look like you're about to kill someone, Daisy," Killian said, his voice a low, lazy rumble as he set his jacket back dow

Killian did not snap at me. He just stood there, his hand still pinned against the glass right next to my head.
