The following week passed quietly.

Too quietly.

Elena knew better than to trust peace.

In her previous life, she had learned that disasters rarely announced their arrival. They hid behind smiles, handshakes, and ordinary days.

That was why she spent every waking moment preparing.

Every morning before school, she studied market reports.

Every afternoon, she observed the people around her.

Every evening, she reviewed her memories of the future.

One detail at a time.

One clue at a time.

One step closer to changing her fate.

And one step closer to uncovering the people responsible for her father's future death.

---

Friday afternoon.

The Hart Group headquarters towered above the city skyline.

Glass walls reflected the sunlight.

Employees moved through the lobby carrying documents and laptops.

At the top floor, Richard Hart sat inside his office.

A knock sounded at the door.

"Come in."

Elena entered.

Richard looked surprised.

"Elena?"

She smiled.

"You promised to show me the company someday."

Richard laughed.

"So that's why you're here."

In her previous life, she hadn't started participating in company matters until university.

This time was different.

Much different.

The earlier she entered the business world, the sooner she could protect her father.

Richard gestured toward the chair.

"Sit."

For the next two hours, he explained company operations.

Financial reports.

Manufacturing divisions.

Future expansion projects.

Most teenagers would have become bored within minutes.

Elena listened carefully.

As if absorbing every word.

In reality, she already understood most of it.

She had eventually become the company's CEO.

But she couldn't reveal that.

Not yet.

Halfway through the meeting, Richard suddenly paused.

A thoughtful expression appeared on his face.

"Elena."

"Hm?"

"You've changed recently."

Elena's heart skipped.

"What do you mean?"

"You seem..."

He searched for the correct word.

"Older."

For a moment, panic flashed through her.

Had he noticed?

Could he somehow tell?

Then Richard smiled.

"Not physically."

He chuckled.

"You simply seem more mature."

Relief washed over her.

Elena smiled softly.

"Maybe I'm growing up."

Richard laughed.

"Maybe."

Yet deep inside, he couldn't shake the strange feeling.

Sometimes when he looked at his daughter now, it felt as though he was speaking to someone far older than sixteen.

Someone who had experienced things no teenager should ever experience.

---

That evening, Elena returned home carrying a stack of company files.

The moment she entered the mansion, she heard voices.

Vanessa.

And her mother.

Sophia Hart.

Sophia wasn't Elena's biological mother.

She had married Richard after Elena's mother died.

Outwardly, Sophia treated Elena kindly.

But Elena knew the truth.

Sophia had always favored Vanessa.

Always.

In her previous life, Elena ignored the signs.

Now she noticed everything.

Every glance.

Every comment.

Every hidden intention.

As she entered the living room, Vanessa smiled sweetly.

"You're home."

Elena nodded.

"Mm."

Vanessa's eyes landed on the files.

"Company documents?"

Interesting.

Her reaction came too quickly.

Too eagerly.

Elena remembered that Vanessa had secretly begun gathering information years before the explosion.

Even now, she might already be collecting intelligence.

Elena smiled calmly.

"Just homework."

Vanessa visibly relaxed.

The smile on Elena's face deepened.

She had just confirmed something important.

Vanessa was already interested in Hart Group matters.

Much earlier than Elena originally thought.

---

Late that night.

Elena sat in front of her laptop.

A digital map covered the screen.

Several factories were highlighted in red.

One of them would eventually explode.

The same explosion that killed Richard Hart.

She stared at it silently.

Six months.

According to her memories, she had approximately six months.

Six months to identify the mastermind.

Six months to stop the disaster.

Six months to save her father.

Her fingers tightened.

This time she would not fail.

A notification appeared.

An email.

Elena opened it.

Her eyes widened.

It was from the technology startup she had been researching.

The nearly bankrupt company destined to become worth billions.

A slow smile appeared.

Perfect.

The first piece of her financial empire was already falling into place.

---

Saturday morning.

The annual Youth Innovation Competition was being held downtown.

Students from elite schools across the city would participate.

In her previous life, Elena never attended.

This time she had a reason.

One of the future investors she wanted to meet would be present.

The event took place inside a luxurious convention center.

Hundreds of students filled the building.

Teachers moved through the crowds.

Judges prepared for presentations.

Elena quietly entered.

She wore a simple white blouse and black skirt.

Elegant.

Confident.

Beautiful.

Without realizing it, many people turned to look at her.

Some because of her appearance.

Others because of the strange aura surrounding her.

A calm confidence rarely seen in teenagers.

As if she belonged among CEOs rather than students.

Elena ignored the attention.

Her focus remained on her objective.

The investor.

She spotted him near the exhibition hall.

A middle-aged businessman.

In five years, he would become one of the wealthiest venture capitalists in the country.

Today, however, he was merely an ambitious entrepreneur.

Perfect.

Elena approached.

The conversation lasted less than fifteen minutes.

Yet when she walked away, the businessman remained frozen in place.

Shocked.

Confused.

Speechless.

Because the sixteen-year-old girl had accurately predicted several upcoming technology trends.

Trends that nobody should have known.

His eyes followed her retreating figure.

"Who exactly is that girl?"

---

Hours later.

The competition ended.

The sky outside had darkened.

Heavy clouds gathered overhead.

Elena exited the convention center.

Rain began falling.

Not enough to be dangerous.

Just enough to dampen the streets.

She checked the time.

Her driver would arrive soon.

Suddenly—

A scream echoed nearby.

People turned.

Several teenagers stumbled backward in fear.

A black motorcycle had lost control at the intersection.

The rider crashed hard against the pavement.

The bike slid across the wet road.

Gasps filled the air.

Most people froze.

Some pulled out their phones.

Others simply stared.

Elena reacted instantly.

Without hesitation, she ran forward.

The rider was conscious but injured.

Blood dripped from his forehead.

Several people shouted warnings.

"Don't move him!"

"Call an ambulance!"

"Someone help!"

Elena knelt beside him.

Years of emergency training from her previous life resurfaced.

Her movements remained calm.

Efficient.

Professional.

The injured rider blinked in surprise.

Even through the helmet visor, she could feel his gaze.

"Stay still."

Her voice was firm.

The young man obeyed instinctively.

Several minutes later, sirens approached.

The ambulance arrived.

Paramedics quickly took over.

Elena stepped back.

Satisfied that the situation was under control.

The rider was loaded into the ambulance.

Before the doors closed, he looked toward her.

For some reason, his gaze lingered.

As though trying to memorize her face.

Then the ambulance departed.

Elena thought nothing of it.

She turned and walked away.

Completely unaware that fate had just shifted.

Again.

---

Meanwhile.

Across the city.

Inside the Blackwell Family estate.

A young man sat behind a massive desk.

Dark hair.

Sharp features.

Cold eyes.

Adrian Blackwell.

The future Mafia King.

A bodyguard entered hurriedly.

"Young Master."

Adrian looked up.

"What is it?"

"The young master of the Romano Family was involved in a motorcycle accident."

Adrian's expression didn't change.

"Is he dead?"

"No."

The bodyguard shook his head.

"A girl helped stabilize him before the ambulance arrived."

Adrian returned his attention to the document in front of him.

Uninterested.

"Then it's not my problem."

"Understood."

The bodyguard prepared to leave.

Then hesitated.

"The witnesses said the girl was around sixteen."

Silence.

"The paramedics claimed her emergency response was nearly professional level."

Adrian finally looked up.

Not interested.

Merely curious.

A sixteen-year-old?

Strange.

But ultimately irrelevant.

He dismissed the thought immediately.

The city contained millions of people.

One unknown girl meant nothing.

Yet neither Adrian nor Elena knew that fate had already begun tightening its threads around them.

---

That night.

The rain intensified.

Elena stood beside her bedroom window.

Watching droplets slide down the glass.

The city lights sparkled in the darkness.

Beautiful.

Distant.

Dangerous.

Her reflection stared back at her.

Sixteen years old.

Young.

Innocent-looking.

Yet behind those eyes existed the soul of a woman who had died once already.

A woman who had returned from hell.

A woman determined to rewrite destiny.

Somewhere else in the same city, Adrian Blackwell stood on a balcony overlooking the skyline.

Cold wind moved through his dark hair.

His expression remained unreadable.

Neither knew it.

But the distance separating them was shrinking.

Slowly.

Inevitably.

Fate had begun moving its pieces.

And before long...

The reborn queen and the future Mafia King would finally stand face to face.

To be continued...
