LOGINMalisha and Grayson kiss as if it will be their last time kissing.
Or maybe, it would be. With determination and excitement, Malisha was sure she could finally give what she had been keeping for her mate. She knew it was bound to happen, and wondered if she would also get marked. She guessed that her mother was going to make sure that her brother and father let her with her mate especially knowing that since he was her mate, he would not hurt her. They had already long forgotten about the party and only were all about each other. The sighs, sweat and tears shed made them joined in ways they had never been with others. Finally, she was finally with her mate. They both fell asleep in each other’s arms sighing peacefully. *The Next Morning* Malisha wakes up wondering where her mate is. She feels a pain in her leg, but smiles in remembrance of their bond. She freshens up, and uses her magic to get comfortable clothes. She waits for her mate wondering why he would leave her alone, but assumes he has a reason. Through her mind link, her mother asks, “Are you awake?” “I am mother,” she says smiling. “You sound happy,” her mother says. “I feel happy,” she replies. When her mother confirms her daughter is okay, she tells her that they would be leaving to their pack very soon. Malisha mentally groans hoping she can stay with her mate, but she will not know seeing as her mate is nowhere to be found. After an hour of waiting, Grayson into the room with his eyes downcast. “Hey,” Malisha says grinning shyly. “Hi,” Grayson says gruffly. When she sees the way he is not looking at her, and sounds weird, she looks up to him, and asks, “You did not mark me, why?” “I did not want to,” he says rudely. A sharp pain goes to her chest immediately. She stands firm even though she feels nothing but pain. “What is that supposed to mean?” She asks in doubt and pain. “What do you think I mean?” Grayson asks still avoiding her gaze. “I have no idea what you would mean because I am not in your mind,” Malisha says. “You are a witch, right? You can find out what I am thinking about. Unless you are not as strong as you claimed to be,” he says trying to make her pissed and hurt. Her eyes turn purple, and she is about to give in to her powers, or turn into a wolf, but she calms herself down. “Why are you acting like this after the wonderful night we just had?” She asks him trying as much as possible to hide the hurt she is feeling even though the hurt manages to seep in. “Wonderful night?” Grayson scoffs. “Is that what you assume is a wonderful night? You must really be inexperienced.” She feels as if she was physically slapped due to the thing he just said, and there is a sharp pain in her chest. Pain from hurt and disbelief that her own mate is treating her like this. “So, what do you mean by that?” She asks still in disbelief and wondering what would have caused his crazy reaction. “I do not want you as a mate Malisha,” he says. She immediately sinks down on her knees in pain, and she asks in disbelief , “ What do you mean by that? Why? After last night? What did I ever do to you?!” “Last night was a mistake,” he says. “Are you mad? Are you out of your senses?” She asks Grayson in disbelief. “I did what I did because you egged me on Malisha. If you had not done what you did, last night would not have happened,” he says looking at her. “You are foolish. You are a bastard. You really are unbelievable,” Malisha tells him. “Maybe I am, but you gave yourself to that bastard last night,” he says with a grim smile on his face. Malisha growls. “I am sorry, but I have to do this.” Her heart breaks when she hears him saying it, and she braces herself for the worst pain she has ever experienced in her life to set. She hopes she will not break down because from what she has heard, she knows how great the pain is. “I, Grayson Storm Ryder, reject my mate, Malisha Raven Blaze as my mate,” Grayson says with a face devoid of emotion, but the moment he says it, he appears to be in pain. He was not prepared for the intense pain. Malisha with her eyes now purple looks him dead in the eye admist her pain, and says, “I accept.” Grayson howls in the pain, while Malisha uses a spell to control a pain so powerful she doubted it could be stopped completely. Through the mindlink, Grayson’s parent, Malisha’s parents , brother and best friend assemble in the room as if they could sense their pain. Looking at Malisha with her purple eyes staring down at Grayson, they can guess a rejection was made. “Why?” Her mother asks whispering. Malisha cries in her arms, and her father and brother transform into their wolf forms ready to do fight Grayson, but his mother and father transform and step in front of him in attempt to protect him seeing as he is in a vulnerable state. “He rejected me,” Malisha whispers. “And you accepted it,” her friend says. Malisha nods, and faints in the arms of her mother. The room is filled with the urge for fight and death, but her mother Beatrix interrupts them, and says, “My daughter has been rejected by your son. Our family and pack would appreciate it if we are never involved with each other again.” She uses mindlink to beg her husband to lay off, but he refuses. When the lycan king and queen transform back to their human form, the queen replies, “We accept your request, and we apologize dearly for the pain our son cost your daughter.” As they are about to leave, Malisha’s mother uses a spell to make Grayson go through a pain higher than what he is feeling. “A goodbye gift,” she calls it. Beatrix made sure it would take a while for the pain to subside, and it would also take a powerful witch to stop her spell. That was enough to bring about the hatred between the Treasure Coast Pack and the Lycan king and queen. When they get back to their pack, Malisha is sound asleep, and there is an emergency meeting in the pack. Her mother is with her hoping her daughter wakes up. “How come Malisha is back when we heard she is the mate of Grayson, the lycan prince?” The beta of the pack asks. “He rejected her,” Malisha’s brother says angrily. Everyone gasps, and immediately understand why they felt the pain she did. “How is she doing?” “We do not know for now, but she did accept the rejection so the pain must be so intense,” her brother replies angrily. The whole pack members in the meeting growl while the witches present try to control their anger. “I think we should go to war,” one suggests. “That will cause a strong division in the werewolf kingdom. Regardless of how hurt we are by what Malisha is facing, we should all remember she is strong woman, and she will not want anyone going to war with the lycan family because of her,” her mother, Beatrix says while walking inside with the aura of the queen she is. The people sigh angrily knowing their queen is right. She gave everyone a small nod, And says, “I am angrier than you all think, which is why I may or may not have lost my grip and heightened his pain. The spell I put on him can only be removed by a powerful witch.” This causes laughter amongst everyone, and they hail their Luna and queen while her husband and son smile at her. “For now though, I think we should keep this under wraps although I know this will be circulated soon because Grayson openly claimed her yesterday. The least we can do is hope that Malisha will be strong enough to handle all of it,” her mother says sighing. “Was a reason given?” A member asks. “As of right now, we know nothing. All we know is the rejection and the claiming. We are waiting on Malisha to wake up and tell us what happened. Till then, we are just as clueless as you all are,” the alpha says finding it hard to not feel a level of anger and sadness due to the pain his daughter, Malisha is going through. The whole lack seems mad at what Malisha is going through, but they say nothing. Beatrix, the Luna, and her mother excuses herself to take care of her daughter. When she goes back into the room, she sees her daughter sitting upright with her eyes purple and glowing. She immediately rushes to her side. “How are you feeling?” Malisha gives her mother a small smile, and says, “I am feeling good mum. You do not have to be worried.” Her mother looks at her daughter, and says. “You are using magic to lessen the pain.” Malisha says nothing knowing her mother will know she is lying. She sighs, and says, “I had to do it mum. I can’t take such a horrible pain simply because I got unlucky with my mate. I do not deserve that.” Her mother wraps her arms around her daughter, and says, “You are right baby. I am not against you doing that because at the end of the day, you have to do what you have to. From what I have heard, the pain is too great.” Malisha gives her mum a teary smile. “So is my magic,” she brags. Her mum laughs. “I would expect nothing less from my daughter.” They stay in each other’s arms, and Malisha asks, “What am I going to do now, mum?” Her mother sighs. “I want you to know that you do not need a mate to guarantee your happiness. The humans pick who they will be with for the rest of their lives so, that option is not off the table too. Plus, there is also the thing of second chance mates.” “But second chance mates are not always guaranteed,” Malisha says. “True, but you can always pick who you want to spend the rest of your life with,” her mother tells her. “What about if I see Grayson again?” Malisha asks unsure. “You will still feel some type of way like a mild heartache for what could have been, but that will be all. You will not go through such intense pain again,” her mother reassures her. “I just never assumed that after waiting for my mate for four years, I would be rejected. I did not even think about it as a possibility. What infuriated me more was the way he did not give me a reason. Now, I will always have to wonder what caused him to make such a decision,” Malisha says with unshed tears. “I understand baby, but you can’t beat yourself up. You also can’t keep on wondering why he did what he did. It is his loss,” Beatrix, her mother says. “I know mum. It just hurts, but I will not cry over it again,” she says. “Crying about it does not make you weak Malisha. If anything you not crying will be scary because I know just how much you were looking forward to your mate.” “Well, Grayson was not sharing the same sentiment,” Malisha replies. “Well, we still do not know why he did what he did,” her mother says. “I was not in the right frame of mind, if not, I would have used the spell of truth on him so I will understand why he did what he did.” Malisha says with regret. “I also forgot to do that because I was filled with anger at what he did to you,” her mother says also filled with regret. “Well, it is too late now anyway,” Malisha says. “You do know that one can accept their rejected mate back, right?” Her mother asks. “I am aware mum, but I will rather kill Grayson than accept him after what he did to me,” Malisha says with her purple eyes shining brighter than they ever have. With the anger and determination of Malisha, she was not looking forward to uncovering the reason Grayson rejected her, and she also begged her mum not to find out because she was not thinking of making sure they got back together. Malisha finally recovered, and could not handle the talks and stares so, she decided to go abroad for her studies.Miles away, Grayson freezes mid- step. The guard who is speaking to him stops immediately. "My prince?" Grayson does not respond. He can tell that something is wrong. He just does not know how, but he can feel it. Something is definitely wrong. He has this intense urge to leave whatever he is doing to find out why. His wolf is restless which makes him know that this concerns Malisha. He had not seen for some days. He found out from her brother, Leo that she went for a vacation so he decided to let her be because he knows it is exactly what she needs. He feel it again. The sharp and sudden pain in the chest. Something tugs his chest violently. His wolf stirs instantly. It is alert, restless and can feel as though danger is near. Danger. The word echoes faintly in his mind, and he can't help, but feel the need to rush whereever the danger is going to. Grayson's jaw tightens. "What is it?" the guard asks again. Grayson turns away slightly trying to calm his wolf down. "Leave
After training with Sage, Malisha is back home, and is with her mother, Beatrix. “Hello, my dear daughter. I feel like I have not seen you in years,” Beatrix says. Malisha grins shaking her head. “Now Mum, you are exaggerating. “Am I?” Beatrix asks. “Because I have missed this face of yours for some time now.” “I think it is just the training that has been taking up my time,” Malisha says. “Just the training?” Her mother, Beatrix asks wiggling her brows. “Yes of course,” Malisha replies. “So there is nothing going on between you and Sage?” Beatrix asks feeling slightly sad. “No, ma’am.” The relieved look on Beatrix’s face is so obvious that even Malisha noted it, but did not say anything. Beatrix likes Sage, but she felt like the bond between Grayson and Malisha was so powerful and beautiful. She was holding out to hope that her daughter and Grayson will finally be together, but she did not want to push her daughter to do something she is not ready for. “I heard

Annalise grins when she sees the acceptance on everyone's faces. She turns to look at Eric with a smug look on her face. He is in shock at the acceptance. "When are we going to meet the Royals, then?" Eric asks. "As soon as we can," a noble replies. "We will need the handlers with us," another noble mutters. "They are already on our side." They all nod. As Annalise plans for the meeting with the Royals, there is an interruption. All their eyes widen when they see what the interruption is... The Royals. "How did they know we were gathered here?" Eric mutters in a low voice. Annalise does not give him a reply. Instead, she puts a relaxed look on her face. "My dear Royals," she greets. A slap immediately hits her on her right cheek. There are gasps in the room, but it doesn't wilt her smile. If anything, it makes Annalise smile even brighter. She spits out some blood on the ground, and she asks, "What was that all about?" "Are you really calling a private meeting and not inf
Annalise is heated as she turns to look at Eric. "We have to meet with the Royals." Eric's face is scrunched up. "Why?" "Because it is time for us to get the vessel."Eric's eyes widen in shock. "If we keep on waiting for her to come to us, we might lose another vessel and have to wait for decades," she says, pacing. "Do you think they will listen to what we have to say?" Eric asks, unsure about the whole situation. "I mean, I haven't gotten rid of the curse yet." Annalise waves that off. "I'll handle that when the time comes, but for now, we have to snatch the vessel." "How are we going to do that?""We need to get other Nobles and Noblesse to see the work we have put into place. If we can get them on board, the royals will move on with it," Annalise says, sounding almost too sure."You talk as though your plan is a sure thing," Eric mutters. "Because I know it is." Annalise stops to look at him. "Do you think I am the only one who is tired of having a vision for decades, and
Grayson stares at her for a long moment without speaking. The wind moves lightly around them, but neither of them seem to notice it anymore. Malisha’s words hang heavily between them and the longer the silence stretches, the harder it becomes for her to breathe properly.“And you did not think to tell anyone that earlier?” he finally asks quietly.Malisha looks away immediately. “Because I already know how everyone will react.”“And how is that?”“You especially?” she asks with a humorless laugh. “You will lose your mind.”“That is because someone wanting me dead while using you as the messenger is not exactly comforting information, Malisha.”“I know.”“Then why hide it?”Her jaw tightens slightly. “Because I am tired.”That answer catches him off guard.Malisha exhales shakily before continuing. “I am tired of everyone looking at me like I am going to break at any second. I am tired of the voices. I am tired of feeling like my body is not fully mine anymore.” Her voice lowers. “And
The silence surely is deafening. Training grounds were never this quiet. Had she known it was going to be this bad, she would train with Sage alone. Conversations died the moment she passed. How was she supposed to ignore that? She lets out a mental frustration. She was going to ignore
“Grayson, I do not appreciate the way you are speaking to me,” she says. “And mother, I do not appreciate the lies you are spreading. I thought we had found some common ground, and you understood that whatever it is you are planning will not happen?” “What common ground?” His mother asks in ann
Joanne looks at Grayson’s mother in shock. His father leaves the both of them sensing that the conversation is not for him. “You are actually really serious,” Joanne says in disbelief. “Of course, I am.” His mother says rising from her seat with grace. “I only want what is best for my son, and
She was so going to kiss him, and she knew it. She would blame it on her ovulation because Grayson was saying all the right things, and she obviously could not think clearly anymore. “You know, I will always want you, right?” Grayson asks lowly. “I would not know,” Malisha replies even though s
